Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Categories: M/M

I see other DBZ fans with Saiyan OC’s, and they seem pretty cool and scrappy and generally fun and I’ll be like “I oughta make my own Saiyan OC...” Then I’ll remember that I already did except she turned out like this:
#at some point while reading way of the house husband#i figured out that this ominous 'they'll never find your body' grin is kind of a thing#like tasu looks that way almost all of the time#as do all the other yakuza characters in the manga#and minoru suzuki is supposed to be doing a yakuza inspired gimmick in njpw these days#so i guess when ichimatsu would do it he was referencing that trope#anyway i wrote ahead last year and did a luffa-nappa fight scene and they basically exchanged forearms like they do in njpw#with nappa getting progressively more freaked out#not sure that works in prose but i'm determined to make it work

HEY I JUST HAD A REALLY SAD THOUGHT.
okay so for context. my danganronpa oc tasu is friends with teruteru pretty much right off the bat. teru is the first one to hear about tasu being in love with nagito and he does his best to help tasu work through those feelings and get the courage to confess.
so imagine teruteru stumbling upon nagito hiding the knife. once he hears nagito's plan he's instantly worried not only for himself, but for tasu. so he decides to do something about it.
and then he kills byakuya instead.
the body is found and the investigation commences. when the class pieces together what happened in the trial, tasu looks at teruteru with the most distraught, betrayed look in his eyes. tasu himself is still trying to understand why nagito is acting the way he is, but knowing that his other friend almost killed him just to keep them all safe... it's a crude mix of feelings, none of which tasu can really pin down.
they don't have the time to talk about it before teruteru is executed.
#fable talks 💫#oc x canon#danganronpa oc x canon#tasu suzuki#danganronpa oc#nagito x tasu#wowee i havent talked about these dudes in ages#feels nice to post about them again :3#hoping danganronpa comes back to live alongside bnha in my head that would be so awesome and cool#i miss talking about nagito a lot tbh#i still enjoy bnha tho!! so i dont rly want anything to overpower it atm lol#so if they can live in harmony in my brain thatd be epic

screw it if spike chunsoft won’t give teruteru the better writing he deserves i will
a short drabble i wrote because i hate the way they made teruteru like actually kinda chill and nice and wholesome but kept it all contained in ftes, island mode, and before [redacted for spoilers]. i hate them for dumbing him down to “haha perv that also cooks sometimes” and making him genuinely so unlikable despite his oddly wholesome lore.
he gets to be friends with tasu they get to bond over being mama’s boys <3
content contains: platonic fluff, dangan oc (tasu), mentioned oc x canon, takes place post-prologue
this was the earliest tasu had ever gotten up. he had barely slept the night before, plagued by the paranoia from the announcement of a killing game. despite his best efforts to sleep in to make up for it, he had been awake since early that morning. tasu sighed, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. well, he may as well head to the restaurant. he changed out of his pajamas and fixed his hair, and after a moment or two more of hesitation, he left his cottage.
no one else seemed to be up this early either, which was simultaneously comforting and anxiety-inducing for tasu. he tried to shake off his nerves as he walked as quietly as possible down the bridge between the cottages. his footsteps felt so much louder, and he found himself awkwardly almost tiptoeing until he reached the concrete path to the pool and hotel.
as he climbed the stairs to the hotel restaurant, tasu heard the faint sound of a sizzling pan from inside. initially, it startled him, but he soon relaxed as he reached the top of the stairs and saw the silhouette of teruteru working away at breakfast in the kitchen.
“morning, hanamura!” tasu chirped as he walked through the dining area. “wasn’t expecting to see you up this early.”
the chef poked his head out of the kitchen door, waving shortly to tasu before returning to his work.
“well if i wanna have breakfast ready for everyone in time for the morning announcement, i figured i should get up a little earlier to start cookin’.”
tasu stood in the doorway of the kitchen, doing his best to keep out of teruteru’s way.
“so, did you sleep any last night? the only reason i’m up so early is because i could barely sleep myself…” tasu chuckled sheepishly.
teruteru perfectly folded over an omlette as he replied, “mm, i slept alright. i was… pretty scared for a while but i think stayin’ still for so long trying to wrap my head around everythin’ tired me out.”
“that’s good to hear,” tasu replied. “hopefully the others slept alright too; owari and nidai seem like they could sleep through anything regardless, but komaeda looked pretty upset…”
after finishing the platter of omelettes, teruteru began mixing batter for pancakes. he chuckled at tasu’s mention of nagito and raised an eyebrow at him.
“oh? you and komaeda seemed to be gettin’ pretty close yesterday. you seem like the type that makes friends real easy, but the way i saw you keep looking at him while we were all at the beach felt like a little more than friendship.”
tasu stiffened. “oh… was i really that obvious…?”
teruteru had to set the bowl of batter down he laughed so hard.
“yes, suzuki,” his amused laughter turned a little warmer as he smiled at tasu. “so, i guess that means you’re into him?”
“i— um— i just—“ tasu sputtered, glancing away and wringing his hands. “…yeah.”
teruteru poured a few small circles of the batter onto a pan. “no shame in that. have you told him yet?”
“of course not,” tasu replied, sighing. “we just met, i don’t wanna be a weirdo about it. plus, the circumstances aren’t really ideal at the moment, even if i was going to tell him.”
“that’s alright.” teruteru flipped one of the pancakes. “i can see where you’re comin’ from. sometimes love at first sight can fizzle out as fast as it happens; my mama always told me that. but, if you really do think you love him that much, maybe you should take a chance. you don’t have to confess as soon as he walks in for breakfast, but whenever you feel ready, i think you should.”
tasu smiled, leaning on the doorframe. “…thanks, hanamura. the last thing i thought i’d be doing today was spilling my troubles to you, but here i am.”
“i like having someone to talk to while i cook,” teruteru replied, putting the finished pancakes on a plate before pouring two more into the pan. “reminds me of home.”
tasu cocked his head, humming. “what was your life like before… all of this? i kinda miss the more mundane stuff now that we’re… here.”
“my mama and i ran a restaurant together,” teruteru replied. “she was the strongest woman i’ve ever known… she got real sick before i left for hope’s peak. i hope she’s doing alright without me.”
tasu frowned sympathetically. “i hope she’s doing okay, too. she sounds wonderful; i’d love to meet her one day. my mom likes to cook, too, but she also works out with my dad. she’s taught me some stuff, but not nearly as much as you know, hanamura.”
“we should trade recipes sometime,” teruteru smiled.
“mhm,” tasu agreed. “we totally should.”
the two fell into comfortable silence as teruteru finished up breakfast.
#danganronpa 2 goodbye despair#teruteru hanamura#sdr2#fandom oc#platonic fluff#fable is miffed about how teruteru got ripped apart by the writing and got dumbed down despite his cute lore#bro just wants to take care of his mom and i can respect that#fable writes 💫#tasu suzuki

second writing post for my birthday/valentines celebration: some lucky shot! this one is unfinished and pretty angsty, but i’m super duper proud of it and it was fun to explore tasu’s relationship with some of the others. 933 words~
tasu practically burst through the elevator doors, eyes darting around frantically. he paced around the lobby of grape house and muttered to himself when he couldn’t seem to find what he was searching for. he moved to head upstairs, but was held back by a firm grip on his sleeve.
“hey, slow down, tasu,” fuyuhiko huffed. “it’s gonna be okay, i’m sure he’s gonna show up like he always does, just give it ti—”
“but what if he doesn’t? i— i get where you’re coming from, fuyuhiko, but have you forgotten what’s going on?” tasu huffed, turning away with a guilty look. “… sorry for snapping at you, i’m just hungry, and anxious, and it’s all kinda mixing together and messing with my head a little.”
the yakuza sighed and let go of tasu’s arm. tasu was thankful for the harsh but reasonable words, however, he was still on edge about the current situation. nagito had disappeared shortly after the investigation had begun, and no one had been able to find him, at least not in strawberry house. he was anxious to explore grape house to try and find nagito, and it was painfully obvious in the way he paced and fidgeted while trying to stay within the others’ sight.
fuyuhiko crossed his arms. “listen, i get it, man. we’re all stressed right now, but i promise you’re gonna be okay. we’re gonna find your boyfriend, and we’re gonna find out who killed nekomaru.”
“indubitably,” gundham agreed. “i’m sure your beloved komaeda shall return in due time. for now, let us focus on the quest ahead and rendezvous with the others.”
tasu nodded, though there was a hint of panic left in his eyes. suddenly, a tiny weight landed on his shoulder, and he glanced over to see one of gundham’s hamsters perched there.
gundham let out a bellowing laugh, reaching over to stroke the hamster’s head. “it seems cham-p has taken pity on you, mortal. he will protect you from any dark spirits that may take advantage of your weak mental state.”
tasu cracked a small smile as cham-p nuzzled underneath his chin. “thanks, cham-p. and you, too, gundham.”
after tasu had calmed down enough to continue, he followed fuyuhiko and gundham through grape hall to investigate the crime scene. tasu, desperate for any sort of comfort from what he was about to see, reached up to pet cham-p’s side as they approached the open door.
tasu felt the floor sway beneath him when he saw the body of what was once his best friend. blue oil leaked out into large puddles on the floor beneath nekomaru’s broken robot body, similar to blood. a gentle arm wrapped around tasu’s shoulders, and he looked up to see akane. she was unusually quiet, and he noticed after a moment that her eyes were glossy with tears. cham-p hopped back onto gundham’s shoulder as akane silently pulled tasu into a shaky hug. she sniffled, and grabbed tightly onto the back of his shirt. tasu returned the hug, feeling a lump build in his throat.
“i’m sorry, tasu,” akane finally spoke, though it was soft and her voice quivered.
tasu shook his head as he reached up to pat her head. “it’s not your fault,” he replied. “i’m here for you, don’t worry.”
akane nodded, and slowly lifted her head from where she had buried it in the crook of tasu’s neck. she wiped her tears and took a deep breath before slowly letting go. tasu offered a gentle, trembling smile before turning back to the crime scene. he sighed, fighting back his own tears as he faced the reality that one of his best friends had been murdered.
suddenly, footsteps echoed from the entrance, and tasu looked up to see who had arrived. it barely took him a moment to register the familiar lanky figure that trailed nonchalantly behind hajime and chiaki, and tasu bolted over to embrace his boyfriend.
“nagito!” he exclaimed, pulling back from the hug to look up at the other. “where have you been? i’ve been so worried, please don’t disappear like that again!”
he pressed back against nagito’s thin chest, clinging to his boyfriend tightly. nagito had braced for impact as tasu approached, but now he was starting to relax again. he put a hand on tasu’s head and pulled him closer with his free arm.
“sorry about that,” nagito chuckled sheepishly. “it was for the investigation, and i was the most fitting candidate to go…”
“most fitting… nagito!!” the pieces suddenly clicked in tasu’s head. “don’t tell me you went to the final dead room.”
the long pause from nagito was enough of an answer for him.
tasu gasped, leaning away. he reached up and held nagito’s face. as he gazed, frightened, into nagito’s pale green eyes, he inhaled shakily.
“why the hell did you do that? you could have died too!”
nagito seemed taken aback by tasu’s quivering voice and watery eyes. “i… there was possible evidence in there, i just wanted to help…”
the shorter boy opened his mouth, then shook his head and sighed. he gently put his forehead against nagito’s and lovingly caressed his face.
“i appreciate the thought but… god, this is so selfish of me to say, but i don’t want to lose you, especially not here. i was so scared, ko…”
