tasu suzuki walks to hotel mirai with his boyfriend and breaks down about recent events. comfort ensues.

(aka a rewrite of ch5 where nagito is unaware of kazuichi's plans and tasu is tricked into being the decoy to lead him to the hotel. the title isn't relevant for the most part, i just really like hozier lyrics.)

hi i just wanna talk abt the absolutely BANGER imagery i wrote in the beginning of my mastermind!tasu and nagito oneshot—

also please ignore any stupidness/inconsistencies i know nothing about computers and coding so i just kinda slapped an explanation for ai junko in there that i hope is at least a little believable —

the glow from the computer screen dimly illuminated the room, barely reaching to the back wall. two figures sat so close to each other in front of it that their shadows could almost be mistaken for a single person. they had holed up in the room to avoid future foundation, and had struck gold upon finding the computers running the simulation the rest of their classmates were in currently.

“wow, nagi, seems like your luck is pretty good today,” a voice chirped, followed by the clacking of a keyboard.

the other figure studied the screen for a moment before replying, “i guess so. but… neither of us have a talent for hacking or coding, how are we supposed to go through with this?”

there was a pause filled with the soft shuffling of cloth, and then the silhouette of one hand holding a usb was revealed in front of the screen.

“i got this from another remnant a while back. they made it to emulate junko in this program, among other things. since stuff’s so unpredictable now, they made it so that it’s easy to use for anyone regardless of skill level with coding and computers and whatever.”

“wow…” the second voice trailed off in awe. “how thoughtful of them. they sound very talented and kind — though surely not as much as you, tasu.”

“awh, you flatter me, nagito.” the first voice, tasu, purred. “i’m so glad i found you again. i don’t know what i’d do without you — well, i mean, i’d be like, really upset and probably grumpy, but you get the idea.”

nagito laughed softly, and leaned closer to tasu so their silhouettes were even more indistinguishable from one another. tasu pressed a quick kiss to the other’s cheek before leaning down to put the usb into the computer.

my danganronpa muse is creeping back to me so here’s a list of fluffy headcanons about my oc, tasu, and nagito <3

despite tasu’s bold, borderline obnoxious disposition, he’s always calmer around nagito.

they are very snuggly!! tasu loves to cuddle and hug and lean on nagito and nagito loves the affection.

they spend a lot of time in the library together! they smuggle pillows and blankets from their cottages to make pillow forts to cuddle and read in <3

nagito runs cold, tasu runs warm. they share a weighted blanket, though sometimes nagito sleeps on top of tasu with his head on tasu’s chest.

nagito likes to sleep with his head on tasu’s chest because he likes to hear tasu’s heartbeat and know that the other is alive.

tasu’s parents like nagito a lot! he’s really nervous when he first meets them, but soma and matsuo welcome him in and take good care of him.

nagito texts in all lowercase and perfect punctuation, tasu uses a lot of acronyms and analog emoticons and barely ever punctuates

HEY I JUST HAD A REALLY SAD THOUGHT.

okay so for context. my danganronpa oc tasu is friends with teruteru pretty much right off the bat. teru is the first one to hear about tasu being in love with nagito and he does his best to help tasu work through those feelings and get the courage to confess.

so imagine teruteru stumbling upon nagito hiding the knife. once he hears nagito's plan he's instantly worried not only for himself, but for tasu. so he decides to do something about it.

and then he kills byakuya instead.

the body is found and the investigation commences. when the class pieces together what happened in the trial, tasu looks at teruteru with the most distraught, betrayed look in his eyes. tasu himself is still trying to understand why nagito is acting the way he is, but knowing that his other friend almost killed him just to keep them all safe... it's a crude mix of feelings, none of which tasu can really pin down.

they don't have the time to talk about it before teruteru is executed.

i think about this nagito line a lot and how tasu would react upon hearing it

conclusion: he considers it briefly bc nagito is very convincing but hajime stops him. nagito and tasu are both very embarrassed.

for anyone curious, my ocs name is tasu suzuki! he’s the ultimate paintball player and a sweet little goofball. he and nagito are my favorite oc x canon pairing to make stuff for; they’ve probably singlehandedly improved my writing, character creating, and art ability over the past like almost 4 years lmao
