Sarai is a sports-illustrated model and simfluencer that has made it pretty far in her career. She's originally from the hustling and bustling city of San Myshuno, but decided to recently move to Tartosa to get away from all of the noise... And to find her soulmate. She is a hopeless romantic and it certainly doesn't help that she watches the notebook every weekend. But after her "research" of discovering Tartosa as the “#1 place where people find their soulmates” on a travel site, she decided to pack her whole life away and move to the location of her dreams... Aka where she thinks she will finally find the one to settle down with. Now everything should be easy right..? (I think all of the soap operas and romance novels/movies have gotten to her head a bit <.<)

Villa Tre Grazia, named for the Three Graces of myth, is truly a place to discover the graces of nature. This 17th-century Tartosan villa has four beautiful suites, 3 bathrooms, a wine cellar, and numerous spaces to enjoy both indoor and outdoor living.

I had a lot of fun with this build but ultimately the amount of CC I was using was too much to share, so you're getting the unfurnished version to use as little or as much CC as you like to decorate it! I always share my builds and the CC included, which presents a unique problem of file storage - for some reason, my SimFileShare account limits my file sizes below the stated maximum.

Either way, I hope you enjoy this villa as much as my other Villa Andrea - I had a lot of fun building and re-building to get it down to essence! More Tartosa builds are incoming, including a St. Tropez villa and a Monte Carlo style Casino!

As always, this build uses pretty much every major expansion pack available, but if you don't have a certain pack, feel free to replace the build items! What uncommon/common fear do they have? I find this funny and ironic (kinda spoilery too for the future. If you know, you know) but she's scared of the dark.

Do they have any pet peeves? When people chew with their mouths open or double dip.

What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom? Polaroids, plants, and pretty things.

What do they notice first in a person? Their taste in fashion. She likes meeting all different kinds of people and finds their different styles fascinating.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance? 7

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? It depends because she's neurodivergent but incredibly resilient. If she's not feeling too overwhelmed, she goes into fight mode and doesn't back down. If she is feeling way too overwhelmed, she'll go into flight mode and probably cry.

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person? Her immediate family is pretty small. There's her mom, Noemí, dad, Erick, and older brother, Ángel. Even though her parents had to work a lot in her childhood, she is still close to them and loves them immensely. Dulce and her brother have a really good relationship too.

What animal represents them best? A fox :) I talk about it more here.

What is a smell that they dislike? She doesn't like the smell of vanilla in fragrances! It's too strong for her.

Have they broken any bones? I'm surprised she hasn't...

How would a stranger likely describe them? Easy to talk to.

Are they a night owl or a morning bird? Morning bird, like the rest of her family. They start getting up at 4 or 5 in the morning, even on weekends.

What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love? She doesn't like blue cheese. She doesn't get it and she probably never will. She loves tomatoes, though!

Do they have any hobbies? Cooking, posting on her Instagram, and playing basketball.

Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises? Oh, she loves surprises!! And just being celebrated in general LOL. She would join in and start partying and posing for pictures.

Do they like to wear jewelry? Yes! I try to not add too many jewelry or accessories to her yet, because she's still a teen and I want to differentiate my teens and young adults more. However, she likes wearing gold earrings, rings, and necklaces like her mom. She wants a belly button piercing too but her mom would not like that 🙈

Do they have neat or messy handwriting? She has neat and cute handwriting, you will see that in a future post :)

What are two emotions they feel the most? Joy (bruh) and annoyance.

Do they have a favorite fabric? Nahhh, she likes all of them.

What kind of accent do they have? She lives in Tartosa, Italy, so she has an Italian accent. She also speaks English and Spanish because her parents used the one-parent one-language method with her and Ángel ever since they were babies. I imagine that Erick is from Ohio, so that's the accent that Dulce speaks with in English. Noemí is from Jalisco, Mexico, so Dulce speaks with that accent in Spanish.

Day 2: Group Outing (1/2) | Nestled with Nafisa

So, they all went to the beach on Sulani, i wanted to take them to Tartosa, but the lot kept crashing so yeah

Nafisa tried to spend a little time with everyone, she chatted with Kai and Hamira she had some splish-splash with Ivy, then built a sandcastle with Elliot. After that, of course, she flirted with Tucker and Ari because why not. Lastly, she asked Concannon to push her on the swing. Also, Milan is always doing activities far from everyone, he's pretty antisocial haha

P.S. i caught Himari flirting with 3 contestants again and she asked Kai 2x for sex, of course i denied! Idk what to do with her, she thinks she's the bachelorette😭😭

Any tips for making a legacy, for lack of a better term, weirder? I've worked pretty much every occult possible into the family tree but I feel like I get too focused on just maintaining needs and normal daily family life for them, especially since I prefer to keep everyone more or less happy (i.e. no tragic early deaths). The most exciting things I've really done are turn one sim into a Global Superstar and marry off another one to the Grim Reaper, and sometimes I pause aging for a bit to spend more time on certain plots. Your legacy is obviously pretty wild so I wondered how you go about coming up with ideas like Michael Bublé Christmas Getaways and Charlie's Angels Spy Squads haha

This is a great question!! Let me see if I can dig up a good enough answer for it 😂

And I'll include pictures to break up the massive wall of text.

The reason Gens 1-3 are barely mentioned on here is because in reality there wasn't really anything interesting that happened in them. I wanted to hide away from the stress of a worldwide pandemic and watch my sims garden for a while. No real rules, just something to relax.

Gen 4 was a slight departure since I was getting a little tired of my sims doing the same thing over and over, and I decided to do the opposite and move them to a penthouse in the city as a refreshing change.

And as I started playing with more gameplay mods that added extra moodlets- the chance of hysterical death rose exponentially. My Gen 4 heir died when my Gen 5 heir, Hinoki was just a kid. So I decided to keep him around as a ghost while my Gen 3 heir worked on grinding out the ingredients for Ambrosia and Reed (Gen 4) continued to follow his political aspirations to become the first Ghost President of Simerica.

And this is where we find the nexus point of weird. And here's the biggest (not so secret) secret to it. The beginning of Gen 5 is when I started actually sharing my gameplay.

Not publicly, but with a small group of friends and simmers on a discord, like I've mentioned before here. Suddenly I wasn't just playing for myself, I was very slowly starting to play to make my friends laugh- to see how they reacted whenever I would leave little updates. And I found I really enjoyed that!

I started contriving little scenarios- what if Hinoki slept with her husband's band mate and had a secret child. And then someone would pop in and say she might have to run away for a while to Tartosa to have a baby. This independent toddler trait gives baby Val such a stink face- oh you should put him in a tiny leopard print robe to match. And it became this back and forth of - you know what would be funny?

I was started going off the rule from my friend @anotherplumbob that my first born would be the heir, so i had the fun task of figuring out how to get from point A to point B with Valerian, and what the hell point B even looked like.

We knew he was evil- he killed his dad as a toddler, and was just a full creep through his entire childhood- and so I started asking, what story do I want to tell my friends? I love romcoms, I love spy movies- what would be fun for me?

We're all influenced by our environments, the art, media, and music we consume, and that's all directly reflected into what we decide to put back out into the world.

And through exploring those characters, through playing the game, through my friends throwing the weirdest suggestions at me - what if he made a robot copy of his childhood Nanny? Okay, what mods can I use to reflect that in my gameplay? - What if he 3D printed a baby? - What if the Volcano gave them another baby? (this one is never happening shooby) - The whole thing spiraled out of control 😂

SO TDLR- How can you make your legacy weirder?

Find a community or even a couple trusted friends to bounce ideas off of. The amount of time I've spent conniving and scheming with @doctorsimcraft should honestly be studied. Write for yourself and like the 4 people you care most about. Enthusiasm is infectious. Find some good gameplay mods to add color to your gameplay- More Personality Please is an absolute game changer. Wicked Whims and Lumpinou's RPO are also fantastic additions if that's your style. Hopefully the game throws you some fun curveballs. Adversity and conflict breed interesting story - or something like that. Think about the types of stories that you would be excited to tell- really lean into your favorite tropes and themes. It's not a checklist, it's just like - I really love campy spies, I really love enemies to lovers - what do I do in game to make this happen. Find your story and let drive your gameplay- not the other way around. Or find a good balance and see what happens.

And to be honest I've very much lost that balance and fallen into a total rut of letting the story overtake the gameplay. So whenever I get too overwhelmed by my stupid large ambitions I just sit down and play and see where the game takes me.

I hope I can get back to not posing every single scene out for Gen 7 but I also love making poses, and breaking my game in every way to be able to tell the stories I want to!

It's why I'm so comically slow now. But I guess that just means we get to spend more time getting to know our characters, which I do genuinely enjoy.

I'm sorry, but what kind of accent does Ivan have? He's the only sim who speaks that way and now that he's more in focus, I can't help but wonder where he comes from! Also, while I'm at it, I've also noticed that you stay loyal to the Sim world ("speaking in Tartosan" "a Tartosan goddess", etc), and while it's obvious that Tartosa was based on Italy and Spain, do you imagine your characters being from real countries and with distinct cultural backgrounds?

hmmm idk that he really has an accent as such, it's more that he speaks more loosely/common than every one else. i don't really have voice claims or any real countries to pin these pixels to cos they're sims u kno, it'd probs get messy if i started tying things to irl and not others.. so nah, other than rough stuff like vaguely japanese for mt. komo or italy for tartosa i don't pin em to real places ig you could use my northern english accent as an example tho, like my mom is pretty well spoken but still northern right? so she pronounces her t's n shit but my accent is way more common and i drop all mine to a ridiculous extent (if i was to write butter or water the way i'd say it it's practically unreadable lol.. like bu'uer? bUHer?? idk lmao) so Ivan probs speaks like me tbh.. Tommy, Rhys and a couple others speak that way too and Oscar does when he's drunk

oc deep dive with Paul Romeo

What uncommon/common fear do they have? Paul's fears are mostly common things like losing the people he loves. He also has a minor phobia of needles, so while he likes the idea of tattoos, he never got any himself.

Do they have any pet peeves? It annoys him deeply when people are flaky, late, or keep changing their mind. He respects people who keep their promises and stand by their convictions, even if he disagrees with them.

What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom? Lots of books, especially fantasy, sci-fi and comic books but also non-fiction. Condoms and lube. A large television because the best way to watch movies is in bed.

What do they notice first in a person? How they move. Paul is a very visual person and appreciates beauty, and people who move with elegance and confidence always catch his attention. Personality-wise, their sense of humour. Paul cannot deal with people who don't have a sense of humour.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance? 8. He does his own stunts and spends a lot of time in the gym, physical pain is just the body's warning sign and a temporary inconvenience.

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? Fight. It takes a lot to make Paul truly angry, he's a pretty calm and controlled person, but if he had to defend someone he loves, he would do anything.

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person? His mother didn't have much family when she left Henford behind so he doesn't know any relatives on her side. His father comes from a huge and influential Tartosan family, so Paul has lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. He is very much a family person and is getting increasingly worried that it might soon be too late to start his own.

What animal represents them best? A lion.

What is a smell that they dislike? Sambuca. Remember the first time you got so drunk that you threw up and now you can never drink that again? Paul remembers.

Have they broken any bones? During his career as Llama Man (and doing most of his own stunts), Paul has broken a couple of fingers, his collarbone, and a few toes, but nothing that didn't heal up nicely, thankfully.

How would a stranger likely describe them? Charismatic and funny. It takes a while to discover that Paul is actually surprisingly introverted, his career considered.

Are they a night owl or a morning bird? Paul has no problem getting up early if he has to, but he likes staying up late just to talk, read or watch a movie, or have sex.

What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love? Paul is not picky when it comes to food in general, but he is one of those unfortunately people who can't eat cilantro because it tastes like soap to him. He loves a good quality olive oil and will put it on everything. Yes, even vanilla ice cream. With sea salt. You should try it.

Do they have any hobbies? Watching B-movies; the worse they are, the better. Reading. He used to ride his uncle's horses a lot before he moved to Del Sol Valley, and he'll still go for a ride when he visits Tartosa if he can.

Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises? Paul isn't too fond of the unexpected, so he might initially not be too excited. But he'd still be happy that his loved ones thought of him and wanted to celebrate him, so he'd get over it quickly and enjoy himself.

Do they like to wear jewelry? The only "jewelry" Paul wears is his father's priced gold watch. He's been wearing it since his father's funeral and takes extremely good care of it. He would very much like to wear a wedding ring too some day...

Do they have neat or messy handwriting? Pretty neat. His signature is very fancy because he practiced it a lot for autographs.

What are two emotions they feel the most? Confidence and yearning.

Do they have a favorite fabric? Satin. Paul loves luxury and comfort, and satin hits the spot for both texture and aesthetics. His sheets and bedding is mostly satin.

What kind of accent do they have? As a voice actor, Paul has tried to rid himself of most of his natural accent, but especially after visiting home, a bit of Tartosan sneaks back in. He also tends to have a slight Henford accent from his mother, but he can mostly switch in and out of voices and accents at will.

The DiMarcos: Lucinda, Lou, Anthony, and Daniel

It's time to start catching up with the DiMarco family!

Things sure have changed for Lucinda and Lou DiMarco. Their 3 oldest children are out on their own and their 2 youngest are now teenagers. It may be quieter around the house these days, but the family is still keeping pretty busy.

Lucinda's cooking skills are in demand in Tartosa. She's currently a chef at a popular dining spot and hopes to one day open her own family restaurant using recipes handed down for generations. Lucinda can always be counted on to give practical advice, and her warm approach makes everyone feel welcome.

Lou is an attorney who does his best to act ethically in a field that doesn't always attract upstanding people. He feels the most rewarded when his clients are able to get what they need to enrich their lives. At home, he is much less serious. Lou loves to joke around with his family and nothing makes him happier to put smiles on their faces.

Anthony is a senior in high school who shares his father's sense of humor. He sometimes feels he has a lot to live up to in comparison to his ambitious older siblings, but he'd rather take it easy most of the time.

Daniel just became a teenager and he already has life all figured out--or so he thinks. Even though he's the youngest, he likes to be in charge. Daniel has always been the most rambunctious of the DiMarco children and doesn't seem to be getting any calmer with age.

Friday Favorites

This series is highly inspired by @akitasimblr’s Sunday Crushes. The difference is, instead of sharing 5 simblr favorites, I will share simblr stories, gameplays, mods and CCs that I have been enjoying particularly through the past week. Trying to keep a balance of everything, these are this Friday’s favorites for me.

Simblr stories

Meet Virginia by @happy-lemon has been one of my most favorite story/gameplays to follow this week. This series is mainly Sims 3 gameplay screenshots with a little writing, but it is the perfect balance. The small captions convey the message in a concise and effective way while the story overall deals with many deep topics such as addiction, mental health and relationship issues. There are not a lot of posts in it yet, so I’d recommend you catch up from the beginning if you haven’t.

Harper Legacy Twice by @akitasimblr, of course, Ana had to be on this list. This is an extension of her Harper Legacy where she is following the rules of the Ice Cream Legacy challenge. Grace Harper is the generation one of the ice cream legacy and if you don’t want to read everything from Harper’s Home, which should be a very good time however, you may want to start here to catch up with Grace’s shenanigans. This gorgeous serial romantic is getting into all sorts of relationship drama while exploring her personality more. I am sure you will fall in love with her no matter how much you hate to see her dump all the cute guys in Tartosa!

Script Mods

This one is a mod which I am sure most of you are familiar with. But Lumpinou has just returned with a new version of Relationship and Pregnancy Overhaul. This is still in Beta, but the whole mod is now available to the public in 1 modular download and it's much better organized. I played around with module 16 (the new one) which is a dating app mod and loved every feature of it.

Just a disclaimer though, it is the Beta version of the mod and may contain bugs. You are advised to back up your saves before playing with it.

While playing around with it, my sim Kailee was matched with Dina Caliente. The date was very casual with no goals and the two just spent some time getting to know each other. Combined with mods like first impression and wonderful whims, this can be a very good dating solution for our sims.

Sims & Builds

If you are wondering where Kailee took her date to, it’s this Desert Bloom Park by @simmer-rhi. This is a gameplay friendly park lot that doesn’t use a lot of packs and looks really pretty for screenshots. My favorite kinda lot, really. This is going in my main save file for sure.

-Oh man… This is genuinely the hardest one for me. I LOVE Tartosa bc I would dream of living there. But I love Brindleton Bay too because it hits close to home.. Sulani is so dreamyyy. Uhhhh..Tartosa. Yep. It’s so pretty.

1.) What’s your favourite sims death? When you have a pool on your sim’s property no matter the season they go to lounge there and freeze to death because of their own stupidity. 😭

2.) Alpha CC or Maxis Match? I’m a alpha girl, but I really like both styles! IDK when you get down to it, they both reflect a ‘art style’ to me. Like have you tried to make a MM sim alpha or a alpha sim MM? There’s work involved in that to make it look right!

3.) Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Honestly it depends lmao I make my sims high on the weight scale, even the skinny sims, so their bodies look natural. There’s been times where I’ve had to slightly tweak their hips or stomach width so a cc top doesn’t look strange and bulky. 😑😑 But when I play the game everyone is bound to gain weight and I don’t take certain characters to the gym as much as I should. 😂😂

4.) Do you use move objects?  Uh yeah.

5.) Favorite mod?  Before High School Days was a thing, I really loved the plumfruit mod by Arnie. 😍 There was also a hair styling mod I downloaded that’s pretty fun and effective for doing quick townie makeovers. Beyond that as a storyteller I owe my life to MC Command Center and TOOL annnd wickedwhims for more intimate scenes.  

6.) First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? I literally don’t remember, but it was probably city living because I had the first version of Sal and Eve living in San Myshuno.

7.) Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?  a-LIVE. 8.) Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?  I love all of my sims!!

But even with that said it took me like, two days to get Pietro’s face and nose right. I hunted for certain facial details for him!! So I’m proud of him right now.  9.) Have you made a simself? I literally do nothing with my simself but she does indeed exist (images were taken long before Sink or Swim)

10.) What sim traits do you give yourself? I don’t even remember. That’s how rarely I am on her. 😂

11.) Which is your favorite EA hair color? Dark Brown probably

12.) Favorite EA hair? The one with the -- you know -- jk I really do enjoy the hairs EA has been whipping out lately even though I don’t use them. 

13.) Favorite life stage?  Gameplay wise I love playing as kids and teens, coming up with all sorts of Elementary and High School drama 😂😂 I love playing with big family dynamics in general. it’s crazy because I don’t feature any kids or teens in my stories but one day!! one day!!  

14.) Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? I have moments where I just play the game to play it! But I do a lot of building and storytelling.

16.) Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad?  i for sure don’t have a squad, but I do feel like I have friends here!

17.) What’s your favorite game?  gta iv, gta v, bioshock 1 & 2, the mafia game series, the sims, dreamlight valley, i’ve been playing It Takes Two with a friend and I really love that game also!

Hi! i’m loving the aesthetic of your blog so far! it’s so cosy and clean and soft! i was wondering if you had any tips on playing the game in that way? more slowly ig? i’ve wanted to try play like that but the 3x speed button calls to me haha

Hello there, lovely! First of all, thank you so much for the compliment on my aesthetic! I really appreciate it 🤍

Second of all, I think I’m the last person you should be asking this bc I am quite new to the “soft aesthetic” gameplay style hahaha. I’m usually more of a challenge player as I get bored so easily and need to have goals in order to keep me engaged. The challenge i’m playing rn and the only save i played with for 3 years straight is the not so berry challenge. But because challenges are very fast paced, i wanted to try something new, something a lot more slow paced and one i can take my time with. I took a lot of inspiration from other simmers with the soft gameplay style, and here is what I’ve learned:

Mess around in cas. Who knows, maybe that sim would be the one you want to start a brand new save with! That’s what happened when I first made Lacey. Without her, I wouldn’t have started this simblr :) Try out different styling. The soft aesthetic typically uses very soft colours like beige or light pink and pops of colours here and there, but honestly whatever suits your taste!

Make a backstory for your sim. If you can’t think of any, using the create a story feature in cas can help a lot. I think backstories can make you want to actually play with them to see how their life will unfold.

Take things slow. Watch your sim increase their skills, watch them as they eat their meal and socialize with their loved ones. I know speed three is very tempting, but taking things slow with your sim will help you become more attached to them.

Take your sims out! Whether it’s outing with their friends, family, or even a self care day. Send them on vacations. Summer in Sulani or Tartosa, winter in Mt. Komorebi or Granite Falls.

Take photos of your sim and put them around your sims’ house! It adds a nice touch personal touch to their homes.

Maybe this is just me, but using gshade is a must for me. Having a pretty game makes me want to play it hahaha

That’s all i can think of at the top of my head rn. I didn’t mean for this answer to be sooo long but I hope it helped a little bit! Remember that how you play the game is very personal to you and your own preferences. As long as you enjoy playing it, then that’s all that matters! Hope you have a wonderful day 🤍🫧

this is not for pressuring you or anything, it's just that i've been loving your latest update of portsim, i am obsessed with the del sol valley vibes and it made me wonder what you could do with tartosa. like, mafia stuff and turn that super cute, family-friendly world into a old decayed town. everyone believes that Italy is some kind of heaven on earth, but in reality, poverty is still a big thing, especially in the south, and even if from a naturalistic and cultural point of view it is fantastic, most of the cities have a lot of mafia problems, trash, corruption, etc... I know when you'll do it your take on it will be fantastic, and I can only imagine the lore, i can even imagine some Italian-Americans making problems like in the godfather. there are tons of movies and photos and books that give a real look at the beauty of Italy and the double face of the medal that the country has.

anyway, i wanted to tell you that your work is great, you're definitely one of my fav simmers, i always use your builds even in other saves i have and your yt channel is such a vibe, thank god your voice is so chill, i can't stand those youtubers who can't do anything but scream. sorry for any mistakes, english is not my first language

dudeeee i was unhealthily obsessed with the history of the mafia + mafia media when i was a kid. i love italian architecture (not just the pretty kind) i could definitely do a lot with tartosa thank u for the suggestion! ty for watching my videos <3 yeah i definitely don’t have it in me to be loud and fake excited over shit lmaooo i don’t like it either.
