Cyric alone was a quite scary place to be in, but the woods— oh god— the darkness they had sent adrenaline through Frances’ veins. She only knew that one thing led to another...and there she was: on her knees, a life of a young girl escaping her fingers. It was bad, she knew it was very bad. But even so, the hybrid could not deny that it brought her pleasure, bitter as it was. Just then, with crimson painting her thighs and her palms, she heard something moving. Eyes jumping up to greet the creature her voice got stuck in her throat; oh no.

The clock strikes seven and the sun fades away taking any light it gave up for us before. Crimson darkness covers everything turning into purple and blue, mist surrounding the island, dampness in the air. It’s heavy, the blanket upon their shoulders — magic sinking into their veins. Dionysus rises above the sky, taking a seat in his rightful throne for the mortals to worship, to kneel before his grace.
The ancients— vampires, demons, angels and reapers— fall in front of him quickly, their powers taken and bare footed humans now stood as they did once before, with their eyes screaming for hunger of every kind: lust, starvation, neediness, violence. No self control, no will power, the worst of the worst come out to play.
Witches and the fae succumb to the wilderness of their hearts, hearing the song of long forgotten gods; they run through forests, havoc under their fingertips and magic flowing out in fountains, high on the lilac mist. Not stopping the murder spree they would rather let their powers blossom and burst out, leaving marks on the ground.
Joining such activities in their very own way, mermaids let their voices out, siren songs filling the atmosphere and luring creatures like lycanthropes, humans, hybrids and young reapers, angels and demons towards the waters and into Cyric’s Grove for the most dangerous of dances. Their bodies are human, but their souls searching for a never ending thrill, a rush of adrenaline; and need to fulfill the newly developed taste for blood. This whole night — an embodiment of the seven deadly sins, but many like to call it the Bacchae.

“You know the thing about a shark, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin',” the vampire paused, ducking his head a little closer to the other,
“Until he bites ya and those black eyes roll over white.”

This was not how he wanted to spend his weekend. In his mind he had the image of being home on his couch with a glass of scotch that never emptied in his hand as he marathoned The Simpsons over and over again. Kurtis Valentine did not expect to be in the middle of a jungle in his scrubs and a make shift weapon in his hand. “Fucking bullshit,” he muttered softly to himself as he brushed the branches and leaves out of his face. “This is one hundred and ten percent fucking bullshit.” As he brushed his hand again once more to more the brush in front of him, his hand made contact with something hairy and long and he let out a scream that was a bit too girlish for his liking. “FUCK NO! I DID NOT ASK FOR BIG ASS SPIDERS. FUCK THIS.”

“Hello?” Harper called out hearing something move further away. It’s been hours of her being stuck in one place, trying not to attract attention of predators, and also not being able to get any other human or not to notice her. She broke her ankle, or at least that’s what she thought; it turned violently when her foot got stuck between two fallen trees, and it cracked like wood being broken in two. It hurt like hell, and it heated up immediately later changing colors — from swollen bright pink into purple, and now it reminded more of a brick than her body part. All she could do was sit on the soft grass and hold back tears. There were many things she learned in Lazarus, but how to survive in a jungle was not one of them.

time to play || solo || event
His bare feet hit the ground as he ran through the tall trees making small sounds of ‘patters’ with each step. Other than that he was silent, listening to the nature around him as he immersed himself in the new island. When he arrived the island it was boring, more a city than anything with it’s weird tall steel buildings and loud aluminum animals but some kind of magic fell upon the island and it was almost like stepping into his childhood. There was trees and vines and grass as tall as he can see! Clare couldn’t stop smiling at the familiarity and the little fae let out a small whoop of laughter as he continued to run and feel free. How could he not though? In a world where the magic of childhood was depleting so quickly, Clare made it his mission to keep the childhood magic alive. Second nature he climbed up the tallest tree he came too, hiding himself in the leaves and branches, making small camp there. Inhaling his lungs took in the deep earthy air and his smile grew. When he had no friends growing up the tress was where you could find him, it was the best place for him to hide and watch the human children interact and learn their ways. All he wanted was some friends and he learned later in life that if the human children didn’t want to be his friend well, then he would just have to make them like him. A twig snapped and his head swiveled to the direction where the noise had come from. Small child. Approximate age of ten. Blue eyes. Black hair. Perfect. Clare waited a few more seconds before he hopped down to the ground, making sure the child was indeed alone and lost. Lost children were his favorites after all. Thud. The child’s bright blue eyes stared at him in shock, the brightness indicating to him that the magic was still alive in the small boy. There was a second that Clare wasn’t sure what to do with the small child. It had been so long since he had a friend and the small child was just the right age for him. He could start his little cluster of Lost Boys all over again. They could go and play pirates and swim in lagoons and climb trees! His body buzzed with excitement as he thought of the idea of having a friend like he used to. But that dream ended as he realized that he couldn’t keep this boy. This boy was to pay for his next meal and Mr. Lucian wouldn’t like it if he didn’t deliver what he promised. This made the small fae sigh. Extending his hand out to the young boy, he kept the smile on his face, his voice soft as he said, “Don’t be scared. I was lost once too. My name is Clare and I want to play.” Cocking his head to the side, his eyes flashed with a bright bit of gold, the glint of mischievousness that they always seemed to hold. Maybe he couldn’t keep this one for himself but he still call them his for a little bit and that was better than nothing, right? “Will you play with me?” Besides it was only a matter of time before he found his own to take away and create his Lost Boys again. Then, then they could play again.

Date: This event will begin this Friday at 1:00 PM PST, and will continue through Sunday till 12:00 AM EST. Welcome to Participate: Everyone! Members can write solo paras or interact with others, post one starter with tartarusevent tag. Location: House of Nyx. Coordinator: Sarah Winters.
Theater weekend — enter freely to entertain your minds and grab a bit of some culture, and something to think about later. Because of the fact that the Tartarus Theater is barely used and is often forgotten, it has been decided to announce a Theater festival. Even if admission is free, any kind of donations will be welcomed in order to fix holes and make the whole building shinier, perhaps even hire actors to start a troupe. During it there will be more than just a couple of plays shown with fifteen minute breaks for snacks or whatnot.
Like the movie night event, we will be broadcasting plays via rabbit, and members are welcome to join. And of course, the participation can be either on rabbit, or on the dash, or both.
The list of plays:
Much Ado About Nothing
The Goat
Oedipus Rex
Doctor Faustus
Tartuffe
Volpone
The Importance of Being Earnest
A Streetcar Named Desire
Death of a Salesman
Waiting for Godot
The Iceman Cometh
August: Osage County
Fences

Super Smash Bro’s from what felt like the moment she had fallen through his window, and Nathan had fallen asleep at around three am. Sleep had evaded her though, and instead, Fern had sat awake, huddled in the blanket he had given her, watching the hues of dark indigo and violet dance across his skin. Even in his sleep, he was sad, bitter in ways that she couldn’t touch or fix, but she found that she couldn’t sleep at the sight of it.
The rain had stopped sometime around five though, so suddenly that the silence had been deafening, and she had nearly started to cry. By seven, the blanket had fallen, tucked around Nathan instead to try and chase the cool colors from his skin, and Fern peeked out into the living room. The floor was cold beneath her bare toes, but she knew the house well enough to find her way to the kitchen.
“Morning, mister Damien.”
