as someone who has never understood the pen pressure curve settings despite drawing digitally for over a decade neow, can someone tell me if theres a way for a brush to need less pressure to activate, but still keep a thin tip? Because obvs changing it so that it doesnt need much pressure to make a stroke makes that stroke really thick and not have much width variation

what kind of brushes do you like to use for your art? i can see from your tt that you don’t use procreate, but are there types that you like?

hmm i'm kinda lazy so honestly if i find a brush that feels right i'll stick with it until i find myself in an art slump, and what feels right depends on what mood i'm in?

the first brush is the one i've used for pretty much everything in the last year - i've been favoring chunkier lineart/filled in shaded areas with a slightly gritty texture and this brush is perfect for that! i also set it to like 70% opacity so i can add value by layering my strokes

the brush in the middle is what i used most around 2022-2023 and it's almost the opposite of what i'm using rn 😂 it's a little hard to see but it gets thinner/more transparent depending on how fast the line is drawn and i love that it works like an ink pen

the last brush is just a fun one i like to use for texture, mostly when i'm coloring!

A few little sketches of some possible school uniforms for mage schools/learning centers for magic/etc. :0c Though because Nanyevimi is so scattered and disconnected, it'd actually vary much more by region (like not everywhere would have a cultural concept of what a suit jacket or neck tie looks like lol), so it's probably unrealistic for so many of them to follow too many traditional Uniform Conventions from cultures in our world, etc. But, still, fun to mess around with designs, and think about which would be most fun to wear/what school you'd go to just based off the clothing lol~

Trying to draw...with a pen brush...was so hard....I tend to do a messier lineart style so trying to do the actual art style of the games was wild. But uh. Yea this was fun otherwise

Day 1: Draw a self-portrait

This was day 1 on pencil cats art improvement hell! I don't make art a lot, so I'm hoping this'll force myself to draw more. Probably won't be do a prompt a day, but whenever I have the time, I'll do it. If anyone has any tips for further improvement, I'd love to hear it.

procreate!!! im currently using a modified Narinder brush for lineart/sketching, and i tend to switch between monoline and tinderbox for coloring ^_^
