i will 1000% say that my favourite scene from the show that isn’t in the comics is the truth or dare kiss between charlie and tao.

not only because it’s hilarious and because well… JOE LOCKE & WILL GAO.

but also because it really shows a comfort level and love between tao and charlie and i think that’s really important.

also because it shows how secure they both are in their sexualities, relationships and friendship.

I have never cried so much in my life.

This is truly groundbreaking. Showing friendship between two guys that invites emotion and love is so so important. Here they are, casting out the toxicity of hypermasculinity, in a healthy and loving friendship. I am so glad they decided to include this.

- Tara and Darcy post-stuff with Darcy’s mum, also the bathroom scene where Darcy tells Tara they love her

- The passing out at the museum scene

- THE TEACHERS.

- Tao opening up about his Dad

- Nick being worried about Charlie’s eating disorder

- NICK NELSONS MUM JUST BEING THE BEST

- Tao and Elle finally relaxing and just letting things happen between them

- ISAAC AGAIN BC ISAAC (the sneaking into the library to grab the Ace book edition)

- fucking love Imogen and Sahar… anyone else see the way Imogen was looking at Sahar… is our #ally queer…

- Sahar being like bitch I’m bi

- Charlie standing up to Harry and to Ben… also the gay waves at Ben’s feet… I’m 100% team Char but hope Ben figures himself out for the better (sans Char, he doesn’t need to be around for that bullshit - I think that was a really important message like sorry does not undo the hurt, forgiveness is not required)

- Tao’s mum being the biggest hype for Tao and Elle

The importance of love within friendships in heartstopper is so important to me. Platonic love is so strong, important, and sacred, and it needs to be represented just as romantic love. The pressure that overwhelming love has to be romantic needs to go.
