The Mechanisms; Gunpowder Tim.
Migraines and photophobia seems to be [pretty] common HCs for him, but under the belief that his eyes function *better* than organic eyes, he likely struggles to process visual information; his organic brain wasnt made for that input, especially with the belief that his eyes were originally made for brian who has a mechanical brain.
Tangentially, do you think his an Brian’s eyes were made without a blind spot?
Often its thought that Tim’s eyes are newer and more advanced than Brian’s, but what if they’re an old pair- old prototype or something. Or what if they are newer but he would function *better* if they just, like, switched, for information overload reasons. I have so many thoughts about their eyes now. Also, like, we 100% have seen that mechanical eyes which have been abandoned by their creator does not turn out well for the user, *glares at real world events.*

“[indication of a tag from the previous person to reblog it in the form of a hyphen, followed by the previous tag, then an arrow pointing back preceeding the new tags] - his eyes are camera lenses but that does not mean they're in 4k
<- Maybe they're not 4k. Maybe they're [shitty]. Maybe [they’re] prototypes to Brian’s. Maybe his organic brain can’t focus them well. Maybe they have the ability to do so many things but his organic brain can’t or significantly struggles to facilitate that. Maybe they are really good and his brain can’t process the information well. maybe they are shit in low [light] and have an infrared setting but he can’t understand the information he gets from it, making him night blind. Maybe he never develops subconscious control of things like focus and adjustments to lighting resulting in a lot of brain power going into making sure those things are happening whenever hes using them, and resulting in headaches from lack of focus, too bright of light, or straining when hes not concentrating on that, or when he’s say, tired and forgets certain aspects of it. And sure, he's immortal, maybe he gets better at these things over time, or maybe he gets better at dealing with the consequences. Or maybe he only gets better to a degree and its still sub-abled. Or maybe he gets better and then he gets worse again. Maybe he’s only better when he’s doing eye exercises every day (which yes, do exist, for focusing I know for sure) and taking care of himself in a very particular way and that’s a-”

[ID: a continuation of the tags from the prior image, they read (edited for readability):
“lot of work and easy to forget. Maybe he gets better and then he gets worse again. Maybe his vision issues flare when he’s doing unwell otherwise. Maybe he never gets ‘better’ and fakes it until he can’t anymore because he thinks no one else has issues with their mechanisms and he must be doing something wrong. There’s so many ways [for] him to be [visually] disabled even with his mechanism. That’s not even mentioning if something goes wrong with the [mechanism] itself, since that’s really up to [personal] belief regarding what sort, if any, maintenance needs to be done on them. The Mechanisms; Gunpowder Tim.”
