Somarta spring/summer 2009 - Tamae Hirokawa

this collection inspires me as it includes a lot of structure and textures. on the first image i was drawn to it as the structure can inspire a ribcage effect that i can use as it involves a creepy element. i like how the material used looks tight and constricting, this can inspire how i am going to present my ideas of feeling trapped. the second picture is used with a softer material and the entire garment is white, this can be seen as angelic and can inspire a contrast between heaven and hell. the third image includes more darkness and torn tights which can represent how clothes may be damaged as you walk through hell. i like how the dark and light contrast each other and the white makes the structure look like a ribcage. in the last picture i was inspired by the unique shape of the garment and how the top of it looks constricting.

BACK IN TIME: GAGA PERFORMS WITH YOKO ONO: WE ARE PLASTIC ONO BAND IN SOMARTA & PLEASER

Lady Gaga was invited to perform with Yoko Ono at the “We Are Plastic Ono Band” concert held at LA’s Orpheum Theatre on Saturday (October 2nd, 2010).

Nicola Formichetti styled her for this special occasion.

For the performance Gagaloo wore one of the catsuits made of black nylon/polyurethane seamless knit, welded with crystals designed by Tamae Hirokawa for the Somarta Fall/Winter 2007 “Protean” collection from the “Skin Series”, presented at Japan Fashion Week.

A spiked headband and black patent Flamingo-1020 lace-up platform ankle boots by Pleaser completed the look.

Backstage posing with Yoko, our girl wore the white and black cotton twill jacket with perforated leather and kimono fabric insets from threeASFOUR Spring/Summer 2011 “Vortex” mostly black and white, dark and light collection full of amazing meticulously crafted structural pieces.

Love everything about it. Every. Single. Angle.

When I saw the cut of the jacket, I’ve instantly thought about threeASFOUR’s trademark circular seaming. And about their Spring/Summer 2010 cooperation with Yoko Ono.

It moves beautifully and glows softly, nurtured through social media and gathers affectionate words such as love, peace, and happiness from around the world. This is a futuristic project that will connect the hearts of people and fill the world with love. The futuristic project is ongoing.

ABOUT This project is using a Bigdata approach to visualize how full of love the world is. Robot flower will be collecting tweets with affectionate words from all over the world. Each one will be displayed on the world map as a single light particle. Robot Flower will bloom with your tweets. She is a materialized symbol of love and peace. When we run the program, the world map should become full of light particles! WORLD IS FULL OF LOVE !

HOW TO JOIN Please tweet about "Love" and "Peace" for your loved one and for the world. (It doesn’t necessarily have to include the words "Love" and "Peace", any affectionate word is good.)

The left part of the screen will display the various affectionate words and the number of tweets in each language.
