He sighed, looking down at the book he brought to entertain himself. The premise was cheesy, chock-full of romance tropes bound to lure in the bored women usually within its demographic. The cover was long since bent and cracked with abuse. If he squinted he could ignore the water damage.

He opened its pages, instantly finding comfort within its simple prose and talldarkhandsome men with endearing secret lives. Just for a moment, if he ran his eyes over the words woman or she, and he separated himself from his body and his personhood, he could imagine himself with a man like that. Then the moment passed, and he was back to laughing at quippy dialogue and tearing up when one of two love interests saved a kitten from the cold rain.

He couldn’t think of a different frequency to try. Sure, he could go through all of the available frequencies one by one, but he wasn’t enthusiastic about the sheer amount of useless data that would create.

Manic From An Unwanted Inheritance

I’m sure that you can imagine that of the many activities I would rather be doing, being in the backseat of an unknown classmate’s car at nine in the evening was not one of them. Granted, it was a nice car; an expensive looking hybrid electronic/Farenal engine SUV, with a well-manicured leather interior and uncomfortable bench seats. In the driver’s seat was a polite-looking kid I recognized as one of Aaron’s usal group of friends, and in the backseat next to me was Faarius. My backpack was securely in my lap.

Looking for man who almost ran me over with bike Facebook/Instagram/Twitterverse I need your help. I messed up and missed a golden opportunity. I was almost run over in the city while exiting Croaker Spot at 11th and Hull Street on Tues. May 25th around 8pm in Richmond, Virginia. He was very apologetic, confident, so charming and offered multiple times to make it up to me. I clammed up like the awkward I am. Mambo: his nickname is Mambo. It’s just something his mom started calling him because he danced around a lot when he was little. She was a serpent and was kind of used to the whole “nickname” thing, so she just started calling him Mambo.

Peter: the boys on the wrestling team call peter “Herc/Hercules” because of his skills.

Rory: she doesn’t really have a nickname. Sweet Pea mockingly calls her “princess” because her name is Aurora, but that’s the closest thing she’s gotten to a nickname.

2: What is the color of your OC’s eyes/hair/skin?

Mambo: brown eyes, dark brown hair, olive skin

Mambo: since he came back from the “school” he was sent to three years prior, he can only fit into the uniform that was required there. All of his other clothes don’t fit. So he wears white button down shirts, black slacks, and a blazer. He doesn’t wear the tie. All black Converse. He’ll get actual clothes eventually I promise.😂

Peter: he wears tee shirts and blue jeans/black jeans. Lots of Riverdale high school spirit shirts. Sneakers. His letterman jacket always in the winter time.

Peter: he has a scar from when he broke his arm falling out of a tree as a kid

Mambo: his voice isn’t deep but it isn’t high either, just kind of in the middle. Still going through puberty lmfao

Mambo: mambo currently sleeps in the living room of the Jones’ household, but soon he’ll be taking the room Rory is in. Rory’s camper is being moved to the backyard now that Gladys is gone and can’t say otherwise. But that bedroom is very simple and minimalistic, and he won’t really be changing much. He’s set in his way from “school.”

Peter: very messy. Clothes everywhere. Random shit EVERYWHERE.

Rory: her camper is kind of bohemian but not like the super pretty Pinterest kind. It’s like hippy meets occult lmao. But then again, it’s mostly her mom’s stuff from when she was a teenager.

Mambo: survival books. A switchblade. Mysterious money. A small black book with names in it. (?????????) And a porno mag, probably.

Peter: condoms. Baseball cards. Batteries (?????) pictures of him and Rory and one (1) picture of him and Mambo. A harmonica. Drum sticks.

Rory: chapstick. Pictures of her with her mom and her with Midge. Pepper spray. Switchblade Jughead gave her. Sketchbook and pencils.

yet another L post

i’m deeeeeeeep in my feelings tonight. this girl i follow on IG was talking about her husband and how she knew he was the one because he was everything she prayed for but didn’t think she could have. how he came into her life at the right time when she was all screwed up and needed help. and i couldn’t help but think about L. he first messaged me on fetlife a few days after my 2nd trip to SF with CG. in the days before our first date, i was still pining after CG whose gf at the time had moved in with him. i just spent the last hour flipping through my 2015 journal and in those days, i wrote about how lonely i was and how i wished i had someone just for me. and then came L...

our first date was magical, probably because i had absolutely no expectations. he was hot and polite and gentlemanly and intelligent and articulate and kinky and talldarkhandsome and so fun to be with. i couldn’t believe i’d even met him, let alone spent several hours with him. looking back, i think i literally fell in love with him on the first date. our second date was even better. he had 2 free hours at work and he took me to an italian restaurant then we walked down 5th avenue for him to get some new shoes for work. i remember being in awe at the whole thing..how normal i felt. walking arm in arm with this handsome guy..looking around at the other wives and girlfriends at the store and actually feeling like one of them. in my journal, i was so excited and optimistic. 

of course things ended the way they did..he got busy and didn’t have time for me anymore. he went back to north carolina to finish school. we didn’t talk. i stayed in NYC and got my ass beat at school lol. got hurt by O the rapist. pined for L the whole time. went to SF for what would be my last visit with CG. didn’t get into medical school and moved back home. L comes out of nowhere to tell me that he doesn’t want me anymore. it’s been a lot. 

i was so emotional reading the stuff in my journal not just because of L. over and over i said the same thing..i just want to be with someone i can trust who won’t hurt me. i don’t think that’s asking for much. now...nearly 2 years after meeting L, of course our story isn’t what i’d hoped it would be. he only wants something platonic (why, i still don’t know)..chances are, i won’t be moving back to NYC for school. i still think about him because what i felt with him felt so real. idk, it could have been an infatuation and i’m still praying on it. but my desire hasn’t changed. i’ve been through so much terrible shit over the years. and i just want a good relationship. i think i deserve it at this point in my life. i’m going to start praying about it a little more seriously. for a long time, i had the dumb belief that i could only pray about one thing at a time. and of course, everything has been about school. but my desire for romantic love has been growing..and it needs to be prayed about. 

so yeah that’s my evening. arguments with my fucked up family and pining over a guy who’s not thinking about me. my life is great.
