If there's one thing that stands out about Durge!Astarion, it's that he's likely the only Astarion to genuinely like talking to Naaber because he's so far from the horrors of what's going on in his head that he's bewitched by the guy.

#talking to him is probably the first true break Astarion gets from the Horrors of his. Everything pretty much #first time his brain's been genuinely quiet since before the Reveals of the Events and it's the funniest shit he's heard in ages #like he still outwardly reacts with open ''what the fuck are you doing'' expressions but he can't help but encourage to see what happens #one thing that the Horrors didn't take from him was him rolling with shit just to see what happens if he finds it funny #to him Naaber is summed up with ''he's weird and a loser and he bewitches me I want to study him''
