[HAPPY 9TH ANNIVERSARY, UNDERTALE! + TaleTwist/SwilTaett Design Reveal]

I made Concept Art and an Overworld Sprite of Fawnne in a Muffet-Inspired outfit based on an idea of the Handymen being drawn in custom outfits corresponding with whoever shares the same SOUL Trait in Undertale (with her having thicker drawn-on eyebrows meant to look like Muffet's extra eyes)!

However, I wasn't able to contunue after Fawnne because of Ripper and Crewelle/IGNEO MALICE not changing Kris' SOUL Trait during ACT 1.

These images are from the recent additions to the SwilTaett Script, with both moments being from ACT 4 because of the most recent Undertale/Deltarune NEWSLETTER, and how ACT 4 is a past version of TaleTwist's SIERRA LESSE.

Finally, I wanted to present how I believe the SwilTaett Cast would interact with the most recently revealed Beta Designs of their Deltarune counterparts, including between Lizzie's Design in the Storisets and Queen's Beta Design, as well as Helpress and Mad Mailer!

I did want the Concept Art to have a comedic tone throughout, however, I have written about my thoughts on UnderTale's 9th Anniversary and the current state of SwilTaett in the bottom-right of the image. Please take the time to read it when you can.

In regards to the Design Reveal hinted in the title, and because of the importance of the number 9 across the Anniversary Undertale/Deltarune NEWSLETTER, I'm finally choosing to show the appearance of CHARA in the Storisets across TaleTwist and SwilTaett!

The Concept Art has existed since December 10th of 2023, but because of how confusing TaleTwist's development has been and continues to be with how much has changed across its rewrites and reimagined versions, I've been waiting until now to finally present it.

Fable of the Fallen

An Underswap-inspired AU in which every swap has a reason, no matter how arbitrary.

Chara swaps with Toriel. Asriel swaps with Asgore. Sans swaps with the Ruins Dummy. Papyrus swaps with Napstablook. Undyne swaps with Mad Dummy/Mew Mew. Alphys swaps with Mettaton. Frisk swaps with the Patience Soul. The Integrity Soul swaps with the Justice Soul. The Perseverance Soul swaps with the Kindness Soul.

Ghost Story

A Storyshift-inspired AU in which all of the major ghost characters shift to the role of the Dreemurrs (Mettaton as Chara, Napstablook as Asriel, Ruins Dummy as Toriel, Mad Mew Mew as Asgore).

Blue Shift

An AU based on Taletwist revolving around the Integrity Soul as Frisk.

Greater Days

A post-neutral AU set after the King Papyrus ending and following the journey of the subsequent fallen humans, starting with Bay, a human with a great interest in the ocean and the Direction of Kindness.

Undertale: Golden Heart

A very unique take on Undertale Yellow. More will be learned about it in time, but as a slight hint: the Justice Soul is not Clover.

Ordered Chaos

A "random" role AU inspired by Differentopic (@differentopic) - Every role is taken from a game (or book series) that I have directly interacted with (i.e., played/read).

For example, the Zoologist from Terraria takes the role of Sans.

Contains spoilers for Warrior Cats, In Stars and Time, Cave Story, and OneShot.

Chaotic Order

The Deltarune equivalent of Ordered Chaos. This time, Lightner roles are taken from games that I've directly interacted with (e.g. Siffrin ISAT as Kris, Niko OneShot as Noelle), while each Dark World is a YouTube series I have watched, a franchise I have indirectly interacted with (e.g. FNaF, where the only official media I have perused is the movie and the majority of my interest has come from watching YouTube theories), or a webcomic/Tumblr blog!

The roles are a lot more unique and are loosely based on Ordered Chaos, as this isn't just the DR equivalent - this is the sequel!

YOUTUBE (EXTRA NOTE: making this take was mainly inspired by @radiant-vulpine's SWAPSPIN take as well as igorsantusa on Soundcloud STORYSHIFT's take, go follow them both!!) What is Taletwist? It's an Undertale au that twists the roles around The actual AU has been dead since 2017, but I thought the idea behind the roles was interesting and wanted to make my own take on the concept of the AU (Although I have no idea if I could consider it a take on it right now...) So, what's the premise of Taletwist, exactly? The sprites look cool, but I don't quite understand what they all are about

Well, this is what it says on the wiki page

The roles are twisted around, hence the name "Taletwist" And as far as I know, the roles are: Mad Dummy as Flowey Toriel as Napstablook Mettaton as Toriel Alphys as Sans Undyne as Papyrus Chara as Undyne Asgore as Mad Dummy Asriel as Alphys Sans as Mettaton Napstablook as Asgore Mad Dummy's Ghost as Asriel Papyrus as Chara Though in my take I did some different things with those roles, like making Flowey in Mad Mew Mew's role (I have no idea what they would have done in the official one, since Taletwist is cancelled), while also making him and Asgore two different characters entirely rather than Asgore turning into a flower or something like that

If you're wondering about a "DELTARUNE" equivalent for this take, I've actually recently thought about one It wouldn't be an anagram of "TALETWIST: A GREAT TALE", but it would instead be called "TALETWIST: THE TEARED EYE" The LEGEND would be changed, so instead of an ANGEL destroying the world through the ANGEL's HEAVEN, it'd instead have something to do with the ANGEL replacement crying until the world is covered in a sea of tears I have also thought about some of the positions for the A Great Tale characters in A Teared Eye Chara is a gardener (taking after Asgore) Asriel is like a substitute teacher at a college Alphys has a sci-fi sort of place you can visit (however she's still a huge anime nerd) Undyne, probably just exercises on her own And Sans, Toriel and Asgore are playing poker inside the Dreemurr's house (Or Sans' house, not too sure yet) Ruins Dummy would also be the main character, somewhat taking the role of Kris While Shyren takes the role of Susie (Maybe a Whimsun also takes the role of Noelle?) The role twisting would work a little differently here compared to A Great Tale also, instead of twisting around Light World characters, they're mostly outright replaced (Not to say that the original DR characters don't exist, but they'd be like NPCs here or just not appear) While in the Dark World, the roles are twisted instead It just makes it easier to work with
