I was thinking when I read this post that Inna would be one of those characters everyone woobifies and You Will Die in fandom spaces if you don’t like him while Macbeth is reduced to “poor traumatized gay boy” while meanwhile he is traumatized but in fact very responsible for his own actions and also. Hey can we not ignore that he’s aroace, asks somebody in the back. They Die ✨
For my OCs, I can tell you right now that Castor would be dumbed way down to the comedic relief, ignoring that his constant joking is a coping mechanism for severe trauma. LIKE YES I JOKE ABOUT HIM BEING A DUMBDUMB ALL THE TIME BUT I ALSO WRITE ABOUT HIS MENTAL BREAKDOWNS SO THERE’S A BALANCE—
Kyo would be like Till where people either take his hotheadedness too far and make him literally just the most inexcusably mean person ever, or woobify him to hell and make him a super sensitive bottom energy twink
Himei and Naz would probably be villainized by some people for expressing morally gray thoughts as women. Oh No. Naz is probably also dumbed down like Cas and there’s not enough focus on her as an individual without Akane because people focus too much on their relationship and not enough on them as people
Itsaso would probably be sidelined constantly. She gives those vibes
Tallis’s character would also clearly have no life outside of his relationships
Eddy is woobified and treated like a baby. Yael is loved by 50% and hated by the other 50. Would probably have terrible analyses on his mental state and whether he’s evil or completely innocent (because there is obviously no middle ground). Macbeth’s aroaceness is ignored in their dynamic (because obviously an aroace person and someone who is romantically and sexually inclined can’t be partners who have strong feelings for each other). Massive brain 👍
wait this aould be so cool
Can we start a thing where we show the canon ver of our alnst oc and then a fanon ver of how they would be mischaracterized if they were in a popular show
