“inside we go!” “bad idea riki!” you guys had ridden your bikes to the abandoned convenience store, ni-ki and taki your childhood best friends, and now that you all were either 18 or ridiculously close to 18, your partners in crime. the halloween stupidity ran rampant through the group, and as you got set up and plugged in the dancey dance game, abandoned besides the spiders behind it, you were intoxicated with the want to dance the night away, not realizing as you danced to sunrise you were closer and closer to meeting all the ghosts who had met their fate doing the same.

synopsis : the girls soccer team hasn���t been doing great since the school year started. when nicholas starts taunting you about it you make a bet with him. will the two of you figure your differences out when your soccer team has to play against his?

"IS there something up?" Ningning asks as she taps your desk. You sigh loudly, raising your head to look her in the eye.

"It's just, Nicholas."

"Again?" Ningning says, rolling her eyes. "It's always Nicholas."

"This time it's different. He's acting weird and I don't know what to think of it. Can't he just go back to hating me?" Ningning takes a seat next to your desk, and starts listening to your story.

"Sounds pretty obvious to me." She concludes, "He's in love."

"What?!" You exclaim a little too loud. You cringe at the looks you get from your classmates. "That can't be."

"Why not? Didn't the two of you make a bet, and did he ever tell you what he wanted if he won the bet?"

"No...?"

"Bingo! He's waiting for you to lose so he can ask you out on a date disguising it as a part of winning the bet." You shake your head vigirously, making Ningning laugh.

"Come on, you're pretty, you know? Someone like Nicholas isn't dumb enough to not consider you as a potential girlfriend." Ningning teases, as she nudges your shoulder.

"It's all just a random conspiracy theory, Ning. I bet he's just laying off because of my head injury."

Ningning shrugs, and puts the chair she was sitting on back, the legs of it screeching on the floor.

"Guess we'll see."

008. THE day

TO SAY YOU WERE SCARED WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT . You were absolutely freaking out, and there was nothing to stop the fact that in just a few hours you would be playing a soccer game in front of the whole school.

Liz and Rei tried to calm themselves down by having a sleepover the day before, but as you just saw on twitter, it hadn’t helped the slightest.

And now it was time to leave. You tried to take deep breaths, do whatever you could to ease the stress.

“Goodmorning my lovely teammates!” Chaewon exclaims as she enters the changing room. “Are we ready to win today?”

The groans and sighs that are supposed to be an answer to the question makes Hanni giggle.

“Is there any way we can back out now?” Rei inquires, she’s sagged onto the bench of the changing room.

“Nope! So in a few minutes we’ll get up that field and play like our lives depend on it.” Chaewon cheerily replies.

“I didn’t even touch her!” You yell at the referree, as you throw up your hands. “Ahe just laid down for no reason!”

The boys on the bleachers could feel your frustration. The minute you got the ball in the opponents box, the referree would call it a foul.

“Don’t mind, y/n! Let it go, we don’t have time for this right now!” Chaewon yells, and you nod. Your adrenaline is coursing through your entire body, you don’t know if it’s because you’re angry or if the training had helped. Either way, you were determined to win.

Your head is spinning from the hit. What was that? the ball? no, that couldn’t be it. Your hand reaches to your forehead, and when you look at your hand you see it. Blood. And not a little of it. Why doesn’t the referree blow his whistle?

Then again, something hits your head. This time you’re sure it’s the ball. Was it on purpose?

question:

i wanna get into andteam but I watched iland and idk if it’s evil editing or what, but K didn’t seem like the greatest person to me? Maybe I’m biased because my ult is Heeseung but idk. The same could be said for Ni-Ki but he was 14-15 when the show aired, I think K was old ebough(?). But seeing recent clips of him he seems extremely supportive of his members! (And my bsf also loves K so i hear a lot of good things about him!). No hate to him obviously!! Just wanted you input!

so i'm going to apologize right away if my tone does not sound as nice as it usually does while i answer this. i am honestly just very tired of the "k was mean" discourse and people not taking the time to see the entire situation as a whole. all everyone sees is "k was mean. riki cried" when it is NOT that cut and dry

every single person on iland was tired, frustrated, stressed and overworked. each of them were being pushed to their limits. have you ever been so tired and exhausted that your words don't come out that great or your patience is a little thin? keep this in mind when you think about iland k

k was the only person who expressed his frustration to the people to their faces instead of going behind their backs and talking about them like what people did with heeseung. could he have worded things better? sure! but given that in the moment he was exhausted, frustrated, etc (which are not negative emotions) he tried his best to express himself. riki did not just cry because of what k said to him. riki cried because he was ALSO feeling exhausted, frustrated etc. it's not so black and white. and no one likes to be scolded or called out by someone they admire. it's embarrassing but what k said was not wrong

we also have to consider the fact that because k is the oldest he inherently had MORE responsibility put on him than everyone else. he's immediately held to a higher unfair standard and it's not his job to parent a bunch of teenagers. he was there to fight for his dream just like everyone else and he acted like everyone else

reality tv always wants a villain. so because k had the guts to express his frustrated feelings outwardly was gold for them. there was absolutely evil editing and they purposefully didn't show just how close k was with riki or jay etc. they focused on k's relationship with taki and made it look like he favored one over the other. k and riki are friends to this day. if k truly was so horrendously mean like people try to make him out to be, both jay and riki would not speak so highly of him still or be in contact with him

idols are held to extremely high and sometimes unrealistic standards. k is human. he's allowed to not be perfect all the time. he's allowed to say things and have them be misinterpreted. he's allowed to not be everyone's cup of tea. but what makes me mad is out of all the "drama" that happened on iland this is the thing people will not let go of. if you think he was mean, okay that's fine that's your opinion. i would hate if people referred to some of my most traumatizing moments in my life and denounced me to just how i reacted when pushed to my limits. he is so much more than the person he was on iland. he is extremely loving, kind, patient, and considerate to not just his members and i really urge you to take the time to see the kind of person he is outside of iland

another thing to keep in mind is we don't have the full picture of that moment. things were edited and framed in ways to keep an audience engaged. we also did not get to see every moment on iland. we didn't get to see how they interacted when the cameras were off, we didn't get to see a LOT. we got a snippet of some discourse and then were moved along to the next part of the show. we are missing a lot of context to what happened

at the end of the day you can have your opinion of him but just know if anyone thinks k was truly mean on iland you should probably not waste your time on my blog. i greatly urge you to do your own research and come up with your own opinions before just siding with twitter discourse etc...

omg i can’t get over the thought of niki basically following you like a baby duck (like a duck imprinting LMFAOOO) and its so cute 😭😭 like maybe it started in i-land, and (name) doesn’t realize it at first because niki doesn’t make it obvious. but the moment you guys debut, you see him trailing more and more after you. wherever you are, theres a 95% chance niki is already in the vicinity or going to pop up. and the other guys can’t even get mad because!!! the two of you are so cute! even when niki becomes a giant, the sight of him practically tripping over his feet to go after (name) makes everyone melt like and u know there is always edits on how cute the two are 🙏🏻

it did start during iland!! back when his korean wasn't great and you spoke japanese! he (and taki) quickly got attached to you 😭 niki following you around during iland is def something you only pick up on if you rewatch and look for it 🤧 he was 14 and sneaky as hell. he still does it to this day and the boys tease him so bad but they also fawn and coo because it! is! cute! hes like a cat in that sense, following you from room to room but walking away when you actually give him your attention 😭😭 😭 oh the edits !! all of them are so cute! with cute audios and cute clips of niki clinging to you
