Okay correct me if I'm wrong here, but did Kumagami appear in the manga BEFORE Kanuka in the OVA? I was so confused why she replaced Kanuka in the TV series, TURNS OUT-the god damn OVA writers wrote a different universe from the get go because they didn't coordinate with the manga writer!

More Patlabor scribbles, featuring

1.  The true Patlabor experience is going from “Ota needs to be fired” to “Ota needs a lot of therapy and a hug…and also to be fired”

2.  An attempt to visually differentiate the Pat-ladies!  I leaned on (what little I’ve read of) the manga version for Shinobu and made her more of a grizzled, cranky veteran, while Kumagami’s physique is inspired by her judo wrestling and the “bear” kanji in her name.  I could definitely stand to push the body types further, but I like the direction I’m heading in.

3.  Since I mainly ship ridiculously obsessive onesided crushes, the moment I thought “Huh, (anime) Sakaki rarely does anything onscreen, so our main indication that he’s talented is just Shige talking about how talented he is…HUH…” was the moment I sealed my doom
