Paradox Live The Animation Episode 9 Review - That One Hot Springs Episode
There always has to be that one episode in an anime where everyone takes an R&R to the beach, hot springs, or wherever, right? Paradox Live The Animation does the same, but they go to the hot springs—all four groups. I expect cute things to happen; nothing bad will happen, right? Right?
Tumblr media
Since BAE beat Akan Yatsura and will face off against cozmez in an extra battle, Allen believes they should go to a training camp to amp up their mojo for the extra round. Unfortunately, the hot springs hotel they chose to stay in is very sketchy, but luckily, they’re not the only ones staying there as Akan Yatsura, TCW and cozmez are here too! AKYR came because Zen won a muscle competition with the first place prize being a voucher for this place. The twins are in the hotel because they’re employees, which sounds way too convenient for plot purposes. TCW had to stay in the hotel because their car broke down and the place was nearby. The reason why the hotel was sketchy because of the vibes. The website didn’t even update so what they saw online was much different than what’s in front of them. It’s also sketchy because of the story about the rainbow neon stag beetle. Is it really good luck? I wouldn’t fall for that story, but since this is an anime, of course there are gullible idiots who fall for it; though, whether the beetle brings good fortune is unknown, but it does exist, which was to be expected because every “legend” told in an anime always comes true. I’m a seasoned anime watcher at this point.
As I expected, this episode is very fanservicey, but in a mild way? Like not everyone is naked, and there are cute ship moments between a few characters of the same group and of different groups. I’m sure fans and shippers are pleased. Am I pleased? Yes, but I wish I could see more? I wanted to see Satsuki and Anne interact because I heard Satsuki has a crush on them but the anime has never shown this vital piece of information. Though, I did like seeing pairs that don’t interact as much in the spotlight like Hajun and Anne without Allen, Iori and Saimon, Yohei and Zen—you know what I mean. These types of moments do feel precious too.
HOWEVER, I’m pleased with all the Allen and Kanata moments. I guess I never revealed it before, but after watching Episode 2, I did ship Allen and Kanata but they didn’t have a lot of content after that episode, so I was a bit bummed out. Episode 9 gave me all that good stuff with the way Allen and Kanata were positioned in a suggestive manner after they fell and how they bumped fists. Poor Nayuta had to be the unknown third wheel for both instances. Also, it sucks that there were no Shiki and Nayuta moments; I feel robbed.
Now we get to the bad parts. According to Saimon and Iori’s conversations, Alter Trigger might be the big bad of this whole story as all four groups have a connection and maybe Buraikan too. Saimon’s bar is possibly bought out by Alter Trigger, who has a connection to Ryu. Iori’s group was investigating phantometal cases, which might have been the reason for the death of the previous head years ago. Hajun’s family might be affiliated with them. There’s a high possibility that Nayuta’s experiments were caused by them. I’m actually anticipating what’s to come with them. Speaking of groups, I know that black haired guy is Buraikan due to his picture being on the vinyl record cover. However, I thought ramen guy was that same guy? Are they not? Is one of them the other Buraikan guy? Speaking of which, what ever happened with the other guy? He’s more of a mystery than Nayuta at this point.
I’m honestly scared for Allen. Just when he was getting pumped up for the song he was going to write, his douchebag of a father had to sent a dude as a messenger that his dad wanted to see him. Oh snap. Shit is going down and I’m not gonna enjoy it at all. If Mr. Sugasano dares be a jerk, I will transmigrate into this world and ignite him on fire. WHAT DO YOU WANT, SIR?
I’m not ready for next week. Though, I do wonder if this is going to affect the performance in some way? No, right? BAE has been established as the main group, so I do expect them to win and face off against BURAIKAN. Oh wait…don’t tell me…Allen’s father has affiliation with Alter Trigger? This is getting even more suspenseful now. Speaking of which, is this episode anime original? Please let me know!

Discover the Untapped Potential of Facebook Messenger Marketing
Whatever you want to sell online, whether you’re an affiliate marketer, whether you sell t-shirts, whether you sell software, whether you sell coaching and courses, Facebook Messenger Marketing is the incredibly powerful tool you have been looking for to turn social media browsers into buyers.
Tumblr media
Do I Need a Website?
So I have been asked this question a few times over the last week or so, from people looking to start generating some revenue online, people looking to get started in affiliate marketing- can they get started, can they make money online without building a website? And the answer to that is yes, they can if they utilise the power of Facebook Messenger Marketing. And so I thought I would share with you what that might look like.
youtube
So chatbot marketing and Facebook Messenger marketing in particular have so many benefits. From automating your messaging sequences to the incredible power of responding to your audiences comments with private replies, these tools will empower you to interact with your friends and followers like never before. And, most importantly perhaps, sell more stuff! So, whether you’re a seasoned online marketer or just starting out promoting your first affiliate product, let’s jump in.
The Rise of Facebook Messenger Marketing
It was not so long ago that Facebook Messenger was just a casual chatting platform, a place to catch up with friends and family. But that casual chatting format is exactly why it lends itself to the kind of sales and marketing I’m gonna talk to you about, allowing you to build a much more personal relationship with your active users. And, even if you are continuing to use it as a place to chat with your friends, I am here to tell you that underneath Facebook Messenger has blossomed into an incredibly potent marketing tool.
So why is Messenger Marketing on the rise? Well, for starters, it offers a direct line of communication to your target audience! This unparalleled reach and (and this is what sets Facebook Messenger so far apart from other marketing channels) it’s interactivity empowers brands and entrepreneurs to connect with their customers on a personal level, delivering excellent customer service, building meaningful relationships and fostering incredible brand loyalty.
It also opens up the possibility of running click to Messenger Ads as part of our Facebook Ads strategy, taking ad respondents directly into the chat platform. This is an incredibly cost effective form of advertising on Facebook and Instagram that achieves an excellent response rate while keeping your marketing costs low.
How Can This Help My Business?
What does all of that mean to us as business owners trying to use digital marketing to build online businesses? It means Facebook messenger automations allow us to address all 3 of the ways we can build our business.
Any business whether online or in the real world only has 3 ways to grow. It can find new customers. It can sell more of what it already sold to it’s existing customers. It can sell something new to it’s existing customers. That’s it.
Facebook Messenger Marketing allows us to hit all 3 of those targets.
3 Ways to Grow Any Business
We serve number 1 with our content marketing, our social posts, whether they are organic posts or paid, that inspire our target audience to take action (i.e. leave us a comment on the post). This triggers a private reply inside Facebook Messenger leading to a sequence of messages that collects an email address and then funnels that potential customer through to a sale.
We serve number 2 by being able to upsell right there inside the messaging app. We guided them through to buy a t-shirt, our marketing strategy should then be to hit them with that 3 for 2 offer right before they checkout, right inside that sequence. Our average transaction value (the average amount we make from each customer) is now rising and our business is growing.
We serve number 3 by being able to follow up with our (now) messenger subscribers. The lifetime value of our customer increases as we make more offers over time. Maybe they want a hoodie to go with that t-shirt? Or, if they bought a messenger automation software from us to build their Messenger ChatBot, they’re going to need an email service provider too- I just happen to be an affiliate for such a service. The lifetime value of each customer is rising and so our business is growing too.
The Interactivity of Messenger Marketing
The interactivity of messenger allows us to gather more information about our potential customers as we go. We can ask questions in our sequences and save the answers, creating audience segments that give us the opportunity to tailor future messages based on the answers they give. This can inform our email marketing strategy too,
We can collect email addresses right inside the messenger chat- people can sign up to join our email list and receive our promotional messages without even leaving messenger. We can further augment our chat marketing with SMS marketing- collecting phone numbers inside the messenger platform and adding them to our SMS list. Now we have multiple ways to communicate with our prospective customers and multiple opportunities to sell to them.
Private Replies Mean More Reach
The private reply feature not only means we can engage with prospective buyers more easily and on autopilot, it also means we reach more people more easily. Without this function enabled your marketing campaigns involve sharing links and trying guide people away from the platform. Facebook actively fights against this (the algorithm will deprioritise these posts, i.e. show them to less people). They want to keep their audience on their platform as long as possible so they can show them more ads and make more money. Makes sense.
But with a Private Reply enabled we can send the link via the messaging platform. Now our CTA becomes “…leave a comment…” which Facebook recognises as engagement, the algorithm sees value in the post, it promotes it further and you reach more people, more people comment… and so it goes round. As a messenger marketing strategy, that is pretty cool, no?
All of this can be achieved through Instagram DMs too. Indeed my software tool, Sales Rails , enables you to automate these types of sequences in both these social media platforms, both Facebook Messenger and Instagram DMs.
So, That Website…?
So, that question I keep getting asked- can I generate revenue online without a website? Hopefully you have seen today how the whole thing can work inside Facebook Messenger. No need for a website. No images and links and SEO to manage. Just strong, succinct customer communication fostering strong customer relationships inside a casual chat format.
Conclusion
Facebook Messenger marketing should be in every digital marketer’s tool kit. You get more reach. That enables you to get more new customers and therefore an increase in sales. You build more brand loyalty. That enables you to achieve more upsells, raising your average transaction value. You learn more about your audience so you can send them more tailored offers in the future, increasing the lifetime value of every customer you sell to. There are only 3 ways to grow your online sales and Facebook Messenger marketing allows you to deliver all 3. And you can do it all without a website.

My Guide to Going Light!
Tumblr media
Could you carry your camera bag with your little finger?
So, here it is folks, my guide to gear. Is it the best way to do it? For me, yes, for you, maybe. Either way, have a look and see what you think.
Background
Over the years, I owned a lot of different equipment; when I started out, I was into full-frame DSLRs and all the large glass that accompanies them. I had a large number of camera bags and cases to carry the myriad of gear. I was in the "more is better" category.
When mirrorless cameras appeared, I got hold of a Sony A7 MK2 and a Nikon V1. I liked the Sony camera, but not the lenses, way too big and too expensive!
In 2016, I sold everything and switched to Fujifilm. I still love to shoot with my X-Pro2! I have a few zooms, but my go-to lenses are the weather-resistant F2 23mm & 50mm. They are compact, well-made, have stunning performance, and a great price.
When I moved to Taiwan in 2017, my focus shifted away from studio work toward documentary and street photography. This move allowed me to reduce the amount of gear needed.
For two years, I used a Peak Design 10L Everyday Sling. On paper, it should be the perfect bag, not too big, lightweight, albeit expensive. As you guys know, it is tough to find the ideal camera bag. I find that it does affect my mood when I'm out shooting if there is something that feels out of place, or not quite right. The Peak Design bag looks pretty, but after using it for a long time, I can safely say that I hate the f**king thing. Its main compartment is too big for my X-Pro2 but too small to carry a laptop easily. The front pocket is too small and gets compressed by the straps when carrying a tripod. These faults are trivial compared to my main gripe. This bag is just so damn uncomfortable to carry for any length of time. I have never had a bag that gave me so much shoulder pain! After one hour of walking, I'm already thinking about going home due to the dull ache caused by the strap cutting into me. Yes, ok, I could have modified it, but should I need to with a bag that costs this much?
What am I trying to achieve?
Tumblr media
These are the contents of my bags. More or less!
My goal is to have as much versatility as possible in a small, light package. These are my goals:
Two camera bodies with prime lenses fitted (28mm & 85mm).
The ability to shoot gimballed video.
Wireless sound recording.
POV(point of view) video.
Weatherproof without the need to mess around with a cover.
Enough battery power to shoot for the whole day.
Can carry a laptop or iPad for in the field editing and uploading. Notice the word CAN
light enough to pick up with my little finger :) Hahaha!
The Bags
Tumblr media
My messenger bag and camera insert
Timbuk2 Lightweight Messenger S
If you have never seen or owned one of these bags, get one. It is a no-brainer. Even if you don't use it for camera gear, it's a great choice to take to the coffee shop or a meeting.
Ok, so why this bag?
It is compact and lightweight
It has excellent internal storage, many pockets and even two, interior, water bottle pockets (get reliable, lockable flask).
It is waterproof.
It is super comfortable.
It is great for riding a bike and has an extra strap to stop it from swinging around and bashing into your legs.
They look very cool.
Tenba BYOB 9&10
These are camera inserts that come with dividers to keep your gear organised. Very high quality and offer adequate protection. They also have useful side pockets for stashing batteries and lens caps etc. I own both the 9 and 10(bigger), but I usually go with the 9 as it's perfect for carrying the essentials. The beauty of these bags is you can take them out if you want an empty messenger bag. I often walk around with my Ricoh GR iii, so I don't need all the other stuff. I can put it into the handlebar bag on my bike. Two seconds and I'm ready to go.
Think Tank Pee Wee PPR
It's a small wallet for holding memory cards and small batteries. Perfect for a power-hungry camera like the Ricoh GR iii.
The Cameras
Tumblr media
The three cameras that I carry, I also use this iPhone!
Two is better than one! I dislike swapping lenses in the street, it's slow, cumbersome and risks getting crap on your sensor or dropping a lens on the floor. I like to shoot with primes although sometimes I'll take along a zoom if I think I will need it.
Fujifilm X-Pro2
The X-Pro2 is my baby! Almost four years old now, and I still love it. This is the versatile camera of the two. It has the 50mm F2 typically on it, but obviously, I can swap it as the shoot requires.
Ricoh GR iii
I used to shoot at 35mm most of the time, so adapting myself to the slightly wider 28mm of the Ricoh GR iii was not too difficult. It is easy to get close to subjects with this camera, and I mean really close!
Killer features:
size - it's so small and light.
snap focus (single, fast press will jump the focus to the distance you set. I usually use 1 or 1.5 meters).
Highlight protection metering mode. I have never had another camera with this option. It will stop the highlights from being clipped. Very cool in high contrast, sunny environments.
Three user presets. Usually, I go, meh, who needs them? Not in this case! They really are extraordinary. The preset will put everything back to their chosen settings, including shutter speed, aperture, ISO and the focusing distance, if manual. Great for those who like to use zone focus.
iPhone SE (2020)
This new bang for the buck iPhone shoots great video footage (4K 60). This is my go-to video camera as the other two are mainly for sills only. Everyone carries a phone, right? May as well get one with great features!
GoPro Hero Session 5
I can mount this in the hot shoe of my camera and shoot POV as well as film my crazy surfing exploits (note to self - learn to surf!).
Ancillaries
Tumblr media
The bags and cameras are covered, let's talk about the small things now.
DJI Osmo Mobile 3
Yes, I know there is a new version out, but it's not that much better. I'm a novice when it comes to video, but this thing is a blast to use. Stick the phone in and away you go, excellent. The strange thing is that no-one seems to care about being filmed by this, but try it with a large DSLR and see what happens. I often shoot with this in my left hand whilst shooting with the Ricoh GR iii in my right hand. The gimbal is a distraction, and nobody sees the diminutive Ricoh GR iii! I can also shoot a load of cool stuff, motion time-lapses, panoramas etc…
Saramonic Blink 500 B3 (lightning version)
Sound is an incredibly important aspect of video making. I couldn't rely on just the iPhone's mic. The Saramonic Blink 500 receiver plugs into the bottom of the phone, and you can clip the transmitter to your belt. I also has a lavalier mic that you can clip to your shirt. Awe-inspiring bit of kit!
Tripods
I carry two, small tripods. The DJI version that came with the gimbal and a small Gorillapod.
Miscellaneous
Tumblr media
Bullet Journal and stationery.
Bullet Journal, pens, highlighter etc
I don't always take this as books are weighty, but I do like to scribble down my thoughts, and the bullet journal is a great way to do that!
Power Bank and cables
Shooting video will drain the battery on your phone, so it makes sense to carry one. I could also use it to charge the Ricoh GR iii battery at a push.
Peak Design
Despite slating their bag earlier, I still use a lot of their gear. The eagle eyed among you will have noticed the red tags used to clip on the various straps that Peak Design make.
I use the capture clip on my belt on my left side, that's where the X-Pro2 lives when not in the bag, the Ricoh GR iii lives in it's own case on my right hip. On my wrist I have a Peak Design Cuff. This lets me use the same strap on both cameras!
In the messenger bag I also carry a Peak Design Slide Lite, so I can attach a regular style strap to either the X-Pro2 or the Tenba BYOB 9. Incidentally, I also have the PD Field Pouch which makes for an awesome lightweight bag setup when combined with the strap.
Help me to help you!
The gear list that follows has affiliate links that help to maintain this site. There is no extra cost to you. Thanks for your support!
Any questions? leave a comment!

Radish Logo
I’ve been commenting on a few serials from Radish so I feel like I should explain what Radish is in a Big Bite, so I don’t have to keep repeating myself. So strap in, this one will take a few minutes. (Sorry but this is not an April Fool’s post.)
Also this is not a sponsored post. Nothing against sponsored content, but these are my personal opinions/observations and I am not affiliated with Radish.
Radish is a mobile app (on the iTunes and Android stores) where one can read serial fiction with the ability to spend money (more on this later).
“I enjoy writing web serials in my spare time.” – Ulquiorra Cifer, Serial Writer -Image from Bleach Wiki
Some of this is guesswork but I think at one point Radish was free and a bit more informal. This is based off the fact I’ve found stories attached the names of certain anime characters and a wide variety in quality of stories. But now they are pushing for more consistent quality stories with the Radish Originals. These are serials written by NY Times best-selling authors, writers for TV hits, etc. In fact I discovered Radish via Joyce Chng’s serial, Dragon Physician. Joyce Chng is not a huge name but she has been writing professionally for years. This shift is probably to encourage people to spend their money.
Features & Design
I can only comment on the Andorid app as I do not have access to an iPhone. Sorry if things don’t quite match up to your display.
Radish is a seemingly basic app with a lot of features if you look around. Its similar to Wattpad in that you can search for stories, add them to your personal library then read then. Radish differs in that is it is much more simplistic. Wattpad lets you create lists, has lots of options through left/right swipping etc. Radish focuses more on simplicity and its serial aspect such as a calendar that lists all of the stories. The reader part is basic too. You can select two fonts, three font sizes and three differently colored backgrounds. Not as robust as some apps but it had enough for me.
The biggest difference between Radish and other apps is that you can pay to read locked content (some that will unlock at a later date).
How much does this cost?
Radish encourages you to spend your money in a variety of ways. The app has a currency called Coins that you spend real world money on. I only have values for USD due to how the app works. The below are screenshots, but I encourage you to double check on your end as values/sales may change. The Coin Package is a one time deal. 3 coins unlocks one episode so the first tier package at $0.99 USD can unlock 2 episodes (6 Coins). This is about $0.17 per Coin and $0.50 per episode. The coins drop a bit in cost the more you buy (higher tiers).
The Usual Prices
Prices During a Sale (subject to change)
For example on a sale I purchased 117 Coins for $9.99 (the third level package). This is about $0.09 (rounding up) per Coin. So 1 episode unlocked is about $0.26/$0.27 depending on the rounding. For one story, I’m Not a Superhero I unlocked 6 episodes total so that is 18 Coins or around $1.53 for this part of the story. But I also could have waited and about every 3 days a new chapter would unlock for free. However not all stories have a date of unlock and require Coins to unlock. So keep this in mind if money is an issue for you.
But the usual price is about $0.13 per Coin for the third level package. So that’s about $0.39 per episode (3 Coins). So it would have been around $2.34 for the 6 episodes that I read if I had bought the Coins normally.
The Auto-Refilling Plan is similar, but charged once every week. This is more of a deal if you are following a lot of serials with locked content and have money to burn. Also users with this plan have greater access to Chat Stories, which are stories told in SMS/Text Messenger format. You can access the first episode for free to sample it, but then the rest of the chapters are locked unless you purchase this plan.
The biggest problem money-wise is that it is hard to get a general sense of costs beyond this. Each story is a different number of chapters. I’ve seen a story with 4 seasons (batches of chapters) where most of the content was locked and completed stories that are completely free to read. Depending what you like you could end up spending a fair amount of Coins or none at all. The best thing to do would be to keep track of how many stories you read and how much content is locked versus how much money you are willing to spend. Or just be patient/selective and you won’t spend much.
I also want to note there are sales and events to earn Coins. The sales tend to be US holiday based and are announced on their twitter account. The events usually entail reading stories around a certain theme, but the payout isn’t high (around 3 Coins/5 Coints). There are also occasional lotteries with about 500 Coin payouts but for a limited amount of users.
Your Coin amount is not visible on the main screen. You will need to click on Library and its displayed on the top. If you click the Coin amount, this will lead you to the Store so you can purchase more.
The big question is, “Is it worth it”?
It depends. I’ve read longer free stories via Smashwords, Wattpad and the Amazon Kindle ebook store. While I don’t have exact word counts, the time it took me to read each chapter wasn’t long. But I can easily say you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.
But word count isn’t everything. Are the stories good/interesting?
Again, it depends on what you like.
Most of the stories I’ve encountered are pretty sparse in description, aiming for a direct quick read. This will appeal to some and not to others.
Some of the popular tags/topics include BDSM, bad boys, billionaires, secret baby, vampires, werewolves. If you are remotely familiar with the book/ebook scene you can probably imagine the most popular/most visible content on Radish. If you are not into woman-centric romance/smut, it will be hard to find stuff you will enjoy.
Part of this is also because there is a lot of content. The New Adult tag alone has 812 stories. If you are the sort that can enjoy most romance stories, this is a boon of content. If you are a bit more selective and don’t enjoy slogging through curation and tags you will not like Radish. I fall into the weird category in that I am selective but don’t mind doing a deep dive once in awhile. While I can see myself dropping Radish after I have had my fill, I am enjoying it for now and am ok using Coins to support the writers.
Do you use Radish? What do you think? Do you enjoy it and what are you reading? Feel free to let me know in the comments!
Thanks for sticking with me on this Big Bite, hope to see you again!

When Should You Take the Sales Conversation from Online to Offline?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you’re a network marketer building a network marketing business online, you might have wondered…
When is the right time to take your prospects from online to offline? How do you ask them to take the next step? Finally…how do you ensure your prospects actually show up for a call?
After all, we don’t want to waste our time with people who won’t show up, right?
So if you’re ready to say goodbye to all the tire-kickers and “looky-loos,” read on and I’ll show you how to…
Pre-qualify everyone, before you invite them to a conversation Create a sense of urgency, so they don’t put off connecting until “tomorrow” Hit enough of their pain-points to get them into action immediately
By the time you’re finished with this post, you’ll know how to create your own sales process, unique to your opportunity.
Plus, I’m going to share with you how…
I have a 100% closing rate…once I pull prospects from online to offline!
So I have a few proven tips to share with you…and they work!
But first, a quick story…
When I first got started in this wonderful profession of network marketing, I used three-way calls.
Remember the three-way call era?
If you’re still doing three way calls, that’s cool.
Whatever way that you’re building, I don’t want to knock it—but you know what?
When I got started, I had a lot of prospects reach out to me in my first month.
I created a curiosity post on Facebook, which resulted in 45 people reaching out to me.
And I thought…
“Great! So what do I do now?”
My upline told me, “Get them on a call!”
Can you imagine the struggle I had?
I felt like a secretary, matching people’s times with my time, and my upline’s time with their time.
And after doing this for three and a half years, I was completely burnt out with three-way calls.
I felt tethered to my phone constantly, while running away from my children (bribing them with suckers) and hiding in the pantry.
It was hilarious.
But that is how we were doing calls back then.
Now my #1, go-to tool is Facebook Messenger
If you’re not using Messenger…then you probably want to start thinking about using Messenger in your sales process.
Once they start to ask about your product, opportunity, or what you have going on, go right to Messenger and say…
“Hey I’d love to share more with you.”
Ask them…
“So what really intrigued you about my post?”
Or…
“What is it exactly you want to know more about. I don’t want to assume.”
They will love you for that.
What I specifically use is “three-way Messenger.”
Sometimes I’ll do four, but mainly I just keep it to three individuals, because the last thing you want to do is bombard your prospect with a lot of new people.
You really just need ONE person there to edify.
But even though we’re using Messenger, you still want to ascend the conversation to a phone call or video chat to actually close the deal.
Why?
Because a phone call or video chat is the most effective way to close.
More on that later.
Now, we all lead busy lives, so…
How do you transition from messenger to a phone call (or a video chat)?
Well, the first things you need to think about are…
Did you build a connection with them? Did you build rapport and trust? Are you making the conversation about them (and not just the sale)? Are you giving them a reason to be invested? Have you offered them enough information to help them make an informed decision?
Because if they have a lot of follow up questions, the LAST thing you want to do is keep going back and forth through Messenger, it’s only going to delay their enrollment.
Now, a lot of people will enroll through messenger; boom—I give them a link to the website and they order.
Does it happen all the time? No.
But it does happen.
Usually, you’ll have people with some reservations.
People will always have questions
You might be enrolling network marketing leaders from another company—they’re going to have questions.
You might be talking to people that have just recently started building a network marketing business—they’re going to have questions.
Or, you might be talking to people that are new to the online affiliate marketing space and are confused about multiple income streams—guess what…they’re going to have questions.
Anytime there are multiple questions involved you’ll want to invite your prospect on a call or video chat.
Here’s a simple script you can use…
Listen we can hash all this out. I want to save you time, and I want to save time too. Let’s just jump on a quick 10-minute video chat, or a 10-minute Skype, or a quick 10-minute phone call. Let’s pick up the phone, so I can help you more effectively.
Basically, you’re moving them along the process of making a decision—that’s ALL you’re doing.
And you need to express that to them.
Again…
You’re simply there to help them make a decision
You’re looking to best serve them.
Whether it’s to…
Get going with your product, Join you in the business, Create an additional income stream
Whatever they need – you’re there to help.
So, to eliminate all the back and forth through Messenger, make sure you invite them to get on a live call, because that’s how you can best guide them to their decision.
You have to give them a reason to get on that call with you, because life is busy.
And when you’re on the call, you ask questions, you focus on being human, and you simply let them know why you’re there, which is to address their concerns and ask, “How else can I help you?”
It’s a really simple process.
I feel like people get nervous or over complicate it.
So here are a few tips to help you get started…
Remember to smile!
When they hear you, and especially when they can see you, they can FEEL your excitement, your emotions, and…that makes relationship-building 10x more effective.
When you’re on the call, you express empathy.
The phone call allows you to express your emotion and they get to hear your tone of voice.
They get to hear you’re excitement.
That’s why they taught us inside network marketing…
Smile when you’re on the phone, because it automatically lifts you up.
It’s way more effective than text and email.
Especially if you are doing a video chat, or you’re doing a Skype and they get to see you.
Like I said, “They get to feel you.”
That’s why I love video chat.
Now, the number one thing you need to remember is to make sure that you’re not completely eliminating your human for a sale.
And you want to show them that by authentically answering all of their questions.
Get the little “yeses” along the way
On the call, all you’re doing is asking questions; you’re asking how you can help them.
And as you’re guiding them to enrollment, ask them questions like…
“Have we addressed all of your concerns?”
Then get little “yeses.”
“Did this help you?”
“Yes.”
“Did I address your concerns?”
”Yes.”
“Okay great, are you ready to get started?”
“Yes.”
You’re getting them to say, “yes,” all the way through.
This gets them to talk more and more, so that you’re just asking questions and guiding their decision-making.
Keep it short!
Another thing is when you’re on the call, stop rambling.
You can even tell them…
“Listen I have 10 minutes, I know you are short on time. Let’s get going.”
That’s it.
You don’t need to know all the answers!
If you are not fully clear on something, or you just don’t know something, be straight up with your prospect.
I know what some people think…
“I don’t want to bring them on a call because I’m nervous; I don’t have all the answers.”
Guess what, you don’t need to.
You need to know how to point and guide.
If you are doing a video chat, one of the greatest things on Zoom is the ability to share your screen.
So you share your screen.
You can take them to a tool.
You could show them your back office, your website.
Basically, you can just show them stuff; point and click.
There are several times when I was asked questions and I didn’t have the answers.
And if I didn’t have my upline, or somebody with me I said…
“Okay, that’s a great question and I definitely want to get that answered for you. I don’t want to give you the wrong answer right now, so after we hang up I am going to contact somebody. I will get that answer for you and I will get it back to you as soon as possible.”
Easy peasy.
Make appropriate upline introductions
I hear this a lot…
“Well, my upline is not the best at connecting people.”
You have to find the people around you that are a match to the persona of your prospect.
This is a really important thing.
For example, my last company was in health and wellness.
A lot of it was about weight loss and fitness and anti-aging.
So when I would do a three way call, I would not match somebody that wanted to lose 30 pounds with somebody who was a fitness competitor.
That’s a mismatch.
Because not only are you building rapport, you also need your upline to build rapport with your prospect.
Focus on building your brand
Want your prospects showing up because they specifically want to talk to YOU and feel a connection with you?
You do that by building a brand.
Now, if you are sitting there thinking…
“Well, what does that mean, to build a brand?”
I get it.
Many people look at “branding” as the concept of having this beautiful website, or having these beautiful pictures.
And yeah, that’s all an aspect of branding.
But branding, to me, is just an emotional connection.
It’s this persona that you are projecting onto others about who you are, which is why you always want to be yourself when you are building your business.
It’s not about your product, your website, your company!
Your brand is all about how you make people FEEL.
It’s about creating that rapport, creating that connection.
Making your prospects feel like there’s a reason they want to know more about your company, your opportunity, and your business.
Whether you inspire them, lift them up, or make them feel happy, excited, or like they can believe in themselves, they are excited to learn something new from you, because you’ve been giving them value.
I don’t want to dive completely into branding, but if you want a bulletproof way to get your prospect on the phone—build your brand!
Finally, and most importantly…
Don’t let fear stop you from moving forward!
Don’t be scared of the sales process.
And don’t be scared of the closing process.
Remember, you’re just helping your prospect make a decision.
I hope these tips helped you know when and how to take your sales conversations offline.
And if you found this post valuable, please share it with your team.
Now, while you’re still here, let me ask you this…
Do you need help prospecting on social media?
Because if you’re just starting out in network marketing, or are just starting to put time into active prospecting on social media…
Then you might like a tool I created to help out other network marketers who need to sponsor a LOT more people.
They’re my 3-Way Facebook Messenger Recruiting Scripts, which are 100% free.
You can “copy and paste” these PROVEN scripts to quickly enroll 10-15 new team members each week.
…all without being “spammy,” without pouncing on people, and without sounding like an infomercial.
You’ll discover the exact method I used to take back my time and personally sponsor 270+ reps and grow a team of 8,300 distributors, all from the comfort of my home, in just 4 years.
In fact…
These strategies create such explosive duplication, that for every person I sponsored, my team would grow by an average of 30 people in depth each time.

Cheers to your success!

The Best 27 Websites Like Craigslist to Buy and Sell
Did you know there are so many other sites like Craigslist to buy and sell your stuff?
Of course Craigslist is the most well-known and for good reason. First, the site features hundreds of thousands of items for sale in pretty much any category you can imagine.
Second, (and probably my most favorite reason) it’s so popular because it’s free. F.R.E.E. Free to list, free to sell, free to buy. If you’ve ever had other types of sites eat up your profits via listing and selling fees, you know what I’m talking about.
However, with the ever-expanding world of e-commerce, there are now dozens of other (better) sites like Craigslist to choose from to list the stuff you want to sell, or to buy the things you want or need. Here are the top 27 of the most popular alternatives to Craigslist you might find helpful for buying or selling things or services.

How to Safely Buy and Sell These Sites
Summary
The Top 10 Sites Like Craigslist
These sites are listed in order of my favorite sites to buy and sell online that are very similar Craigslist. Right now Offer Up is my favorite, but the Facebook Marketplace is also a very quick and easy way to sell your items as well. When I am looking for services, I lean on Offer Up and when I am looking to sell something quickly, I will head on over to the Facebook Marketplace.
1. Offer Up
Offer Up is a selling site where you list your items or services by type, and you search by type, city or zip code. There’s an added filter letting you choose how far away you can search from that city or zip code.
Categories
Antiques
Appliances
Arts and crafts
Auto parts
Baby and kids
Beauty and health
Bicycles
Boats and marine
Books and magazines
Services
Okay, the list is seriously too long to post here. Offer Up has a lot of categories and a ton of stuff or services for sale from appliances and auto parts to used textbooks and antiques. You can also ask the seller a question or even make an offer. No listing fees or selling fees. Offer Up is my favorite for security as well. They take your safety seriously and will advise you to as well.
2. Facebook Marketplace
If you have a Facebook account, then you already have access to the Facebook Marketplace. Facebook does a really great job with their marketplace and makes it extremely simple to buy or sell. All communication is done via Facebook Messenger and can be done from mobile or desktop. With the amount of people shopping on Facebook, you can usually sell your stuff the fastest on this platform.

3. Facebook Groups
Selling on Facebook started inside Facebook groups long before the Facebook Marketplace. Once you request and are approved for a local Facebook group (often called “YOUR CITY Swip Swap), you can begin selling your items and finding other things to buy in your local area.
It can be a bit tedious to find the right sale group for your items on Facebook which is why I like the Marketplace better. However, I do like the fact that if there are any complaints about someone inside the group – they are usually kicked out of the group. This causes buyers and sellers to be extra nice (and fair) with each other to remain in the group.
4. Letgo
Letgo shares items for sale by using your location. The site is easy to use, and there are no listing and selling fees. The site is pretty basic but it works. It’s easiest to search by item.

5. Oodle
Probably the most comparable to Craigslist is Oodle, but it also does something Craiglist does not do – Oodle aggregates listings both locally and nationally from sites like eBay, ForRent.com, BoatTrader.com, Cars.com, and many more. Oodle uses these networks of online marketplaces to buy, sell, and trade products and services.
Categories
Merchandise
Motor-operated vehicles (cars, boats, motorcycles, RVs, etc.)
Rentals
Real estate
Jobs
Pets
Tickets
Services
Personal ads
Community-related ads (announcements, groups, etc.)
Currently Oodle has over 15 million monthly users and is available in the United States, Australia, Canada, India, UK, Ireland, and New Zealand. There are no fees for listing or selling, however there are limits to how many listings you can post at a time based on your selling categories.
6. Locanto
When you think of Locanto, think of the word “local”.
Instead of offering up ads from around the country, Locanto is best for those who are looking for something locally such as a used car, a babysitter, a job, or anything particular to the vicinity of where you live.
It’s very simple to post an ad on Locanto and the ads are meant to feel and look like ads you see in the local newspaper (what are newspapers again?). My favorite part of Locanto is your ad will remain live for 60 days which exposes your ad to a very large audience.
Bonus: You can upload pictures into your ad and you can use HTML codes to send a link to your website if you choose to do so.

7. Trovit
Trovit is a site where you can list your homes and cars for sale, or list available job positions you may need to fill. How Trovit works is it lists ads for over 50 countries including the United States, Mexico, the UK, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Mexico, and many, many more.
The site is pretty well organized. When you search for a vehicle you start with the country you want to buy in. From there it brings you to another screen where you can choose a make, model, etc. You can choose cars by area or by make and model.
Searches for real estate work similarly. You start by choosing your area, and from there you can narrow down the search based on the type of house/number of bedrooms, etc. you want.
The site has an expansive amount of listings on it. Most all of the listings seemed to be taken from/linked to other sources. FYI, you can only advertise items for sale on Trovit if you own a coordinating website.
However, if you’re advertising on Craigslist or similar sites you can be pretty sure your ad will show up on Trovit anyway.
8. Gumtree
Gumtree is just like Craigslist and is wildly popular in the UK and is also frequently used in Australia, South Africa, and recently Gumtree has began to increase in popularity within the United States
No matter where you live, Gumtree is still a great alternative to Craigslist because of the ability to buy and sell to anyone in the world.

Gumtree can also be used as an app and can be found in both the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store.
9. US Free Ads
USFreeAds have been around since 1999 and I don’t think they’ve ever done an update on the look of their site. It’s about as plain and simple as you can get which isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes keeping it as simple as possible works the best.
After doing some digging, there are two separate sites for US Free Ads –  USFreeAds and USNetAds.

10. AdLandPro
AdLandPro allows you to post up to 20 ads for free and the ads will stay on their site for 4 weeks. However, if you update your ad inside those 4 weeks, you can keep your ads up indefinitely.
Once you post your ad, it is then sent to their database which is linked to over 57,000 affiliates websites.

The Rest of the Best Sites like Craigslist
Some of these are older sites that many have forgot about or they may be brand new and just getting started. Often I will find the best deals on these sites listed below because they may not have as much competition from other buyers and sellers.
11. Geebo
What makes Geebo (pronounced G-bo) unique is the personal touch in the digital age. Every single ad is actually manually approved by a human being instead of a robot or algorithm.
Geebo is only offered in the United States and is currently in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Austin, Phoenix, Washington, DC, and Seattle. To date, Geebo has spread to over 160 communities nationwide.

12. USA Today
Not much to explain here. USA Today is a giant in the print and digital media niche and reported over 102 million unique visitors and 1.2 billion pageviews per month in 2017.
One thing is for sure – your ad will be seen by a lot of people!

13. Ads Globe
Ads Globe is a nice looking site, it’s free, and you can choose ads from a drop down list of multiple countries.
However, after looking through their site for United States based ads, very few ads were found. If you’re going to try out Ads Globe, be sure to set your location at the very top left of their site.

14. PennySaver USA
I am sure the founder of Craigslist (Craig Newmark) had a PennySaver print ad in his hand well before he ever thought of starting Craigslist.
Penny Saver has been around for more than 50 years and survived the shift from print media to digital media in the online world. If you live in California, you can still find the Penny Saver in print, but everywhere else is online as PennySaver USA.
Also, PennySaver USA is visited more than 1 million unique visitors per month.

15. City News
City News offers free classified ads to help you sell or buy all over the world. You can post in City News if you live in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and more. There’s also an option for upgraded ads, but there are charges to upgrade.
Categories
You can choose from a variety of categories to sell or shop in, including:
Antiques and collectibles
Astrology, holistic and religion
Auto and motor vehicles
Boats and water sports
Business opportunities
Real estate
People connections
And more. I even found ads for medical treatment services, such as knee surgery in foreign countries, which was….interesting.
16. 10 Day Ads
10 Day Ads has an interesting concept going for them. It’s free to list and sell stuff online, however the ads only stay on the site for – you guessed it – 10 days.
The goal, according to the site, is to keep the ads new and fresh so people aren’t seeing the same listings over and over again like can happen when people post on Craigslist.
Not only does this concept help buyers to avoid seeing old ads, it helps them minimize the chances of seeing an ad for an item that is already sold.
Categories
Antiques and collectibles
Employment
Music/records/CDs
Appliances
Everything else/miscellaneous
Personals/video profiles
Art
Fashion
Pets
Automotive
Baby items
Home and garden
And several other categories. The site is pretty well organized and easy to use. The site offered ads from all over the world, however when I checked the listings a lot of the categories had “zero” items for sale.
17. Ad Toad
Ad Toad isn’t as aesthetically pleasing as most of the other sites featured here, but it does have some stuff listed for sale and you can list and sell for free.
Categories
Some of the categories they have include:
Services
Vehicles, boats and aviation
Shopping
Rental and roommates
Personal
Hobby
Houseware
Home electronics
And others. Many of the categories had zero listings, however. I’m not sure this site is real well-known yet, but it is a free place to list your stuff for sale.
18. FreeAdsTime
FreeAdsTime looks and runs a lot like Craigslist. You start by choosing your state, and then the city you want to browse in, from the home page.
Categories
From there you can choose from several different categories such as:
Jobs
Services
Vehicles
Pets
Real estate/rentals
Community
Musician
Items
“Items” refers to things for sale and under this banner you’ll find links to items such as clothing, collectibles, computers, kids’ stuff, heavy equipment, jewelry, furniture and more.
You don’t have to create an account to post here, however, doing so will give you added benefits, such as being able to track the number of views on the items you’ve posted. It’s free to create an account too.
As I searched the site, I found there were several ads to browse for some items, and zero ads to browse for others. The site was attractive and easy to use.
19. Recycler
Recycler is another site where you place your ads directly. The site is easy to use and has categories such as cars and vehicles, pets, real estate for sale, rentals, sports and recreation, community, jobs and more.
It seemed to me that the majority of the stuff listed for sale here consisted of vehicles. Some categories, such as pets, had no listings when I was doing my research, however in the vehicles category there were thousands of ads to browse through.
You have to create an account with Recycler in order to post an ad, however it’s free to do so. This is a site I’d use to advertise a vehicle I had for sale, but it doesn’t look like it gets a whole lot of traffic for other items.
20. Pawngo
Pawngo is a site where you can sell your stuff to a pawn company. Their primary goal is to lend people money using their valuables as security, however it looks like they will buy items within certain parameters.
Items they accept for pawn include: jewelry, precious metals, camera equipment, musical instruments, Apple computers, luxury cars, and designer handbags. You can also buy these items directly from Pawngo.
21. Classified Ads
The Classified Ads website seems to be a pretty popular place to list items for sale.
Categories
Some of the categories they run ads for include:
Vehicles
Real estate
Rentals
Pets
Personals
Jobs
Items for sale
And others. You can place ads directly on the site, but I also noticed they had ads that seemed to be pulled from other sites. The site is simple, but organized and easy to use.
22. Classifieds Giant
Classifieds Giant is a well-organized site that allows you to post ads for a variety of items. Their “for sale” category includes antiques, arts and crafts, baby and kids, appliances, household items, electronic items, sporting equipment and more.
Like most other sites they also have ads for cars and trucks, real estate, jobs, services, community, personal ads, etc. You do have to create an account to post on Classifieds Giant, but it’s free to do so.
23. OLX
OLX offers items for sale that include all of the usual stuff: vehicles, real estate, electronics, used furniture, clothing, etc. They have sites for a couple of dozen countries, including Pakistan, Guatemala, India, South Africa and more.
However, when you click on “United States” it brings you to LetGo’s website. It’s a good place to search and list if you live in countries outside of the U.S.
24. Bookoo
Bookoo brings buyers and sellers together. They have site pages for all 50 U.S. states, as well as sites for Germany, Italy, Belgium, Japan, the UK and more.
As far as U.S. ads go, some states had dozens of cities listed while others, like Minnesota, Michigan and Idaho, had between zero and two cities listed.
Within many of the states and cities listed, however, there were quite a few ads to choose from if you’re shopping. This looks like a site that’s doing very well in some states, but still has room to grow in others.
25. Kijiji
It’s a crazy name, but Kijiji is dubbed Canada’s most popular free, local classifieds site. Kijiji shares ads in all of Canada’s major provinces and surrounding territories. Ads are listed by province and then narrowed down from there.
Categories
There are dozens of categories to choose from, including those listed below:
For sale
Housing
Electronics
Jobs
Pets
Home and garden
Community
Cars and vehicles
Services and resumes
26. U-Exchange
U-Exchange is a bit different than the other sites listed here in that it’s a bartering site – there is no cash or currency exchange. When you sign up with them, you list what services and/or products you have to offer, and what services or products you are willing to give in exchange.
There are a wide variety of services and products offered for trade and needed by others from people all over the U.S. and the world here.
27. Hoobly
Hoobly classifieds offer the usual stuff: vehicles, clothing, jobs, etc. You don’t need an account to browse listings, however you will need to create one (they’re free) to communicate with sellers or to list something for sale.
There weren’t a ton of listings on this site, but it’d be worth a look if you’re searching for something in particular. States, such as Michigan and Florida, had a lot more listings than many of the other states featured here.
How to Safely Buy and Sell These Sites
Whenever you’re buying – or selling – on websites like the ones mentioned here, it’s important to use safety precautions in an effort to prevent scammers or criminals from taking advantage of you.
You can start by never giving anyone your personal credit or debit card or other financial information. Deal in cash only (or a cashier’s check from your bank for large ticket items) and don’t give sellers money until you’re sure you are getting what you are paying for. There are also apps for sending money online.
Also, when meeting up with someone, bring a second person along if possible, meet in a public place and always let someone know where you’re going and when you should be back.
Done right, you can get some phenomenal deals using online websites!
Summary
As you can see there are a ton of great other sites like Craigslist. Whether you’re looking to sell your car, get a deal on a washing machine, you need to create extra cash flow flipping “stuff” or just need money now you have options.
Also, in the comments below, please let me know if you have tried any of these and what you think of them. Or, if I am missing any other sites, please drop me a comment below and I will get them added in!
Thanks so much!

Everything else/miscellaneous
Personals/video profiles

Fashion
Pets
Automotive

The headline is more to grab your attention than to brag because the rest of this post is not going to be nearly as sexy. I wanted to write this post for people who are struggling to make their first $1,000 or $5,000 - I want to give you an inside look to how I did this, not overnight, but what the ugly, drawn-out process looked like for me.There's no get-rich-quick tips here. There's no "hacks." No "shortcuts." I'm a very unlucky person who feels very lucky to be able to make this amount from my laptop at home while dealing with my endless medical issues. Background information about the business:Name/URL: It's my username. I probably don't even show up on Google - also, I don't have social media outside of Reddit so there isn't much to look at. P.S. Not a self-promo, I'm booked out and not looking for more work.Type of business: "Virtual assistance" - basically, if someone needs an extra hand to do it in their business, I probably do it. My limitations are code/development and design. I am horrendous in those areas.Business model: People pay me a flat fee of $1000/month to be their virtual assistant for a flat fee of $600/month to write 4 pieces of content for them (email or blog only). Note: I don't do hourly fees because I work quickly. I am not going to work for $15 because I did it in 1 hour when someone would do the same work in 2 hours and make $30? When I break it down (I track my hours using Toggl) it's roughly $45-$100/hour per client, monthly.Open since: Officially? August 2019. When I started virtual assistance? 2010 - which leads me to the rest of this post.Tidbit about me for context:I'm in my super late 20's.Single mom, 2 young kids - one isn't in school yet.Clinically diagnosed schizo-bipolar, BPD, and PTSD - this is important because I believe this is why it took me so long to get here.College dropout with 1.4 GPA. (Criminal Justice)Only "legitimate" job was USMC, of which I only did 1 term as a glorified dispatcher.Based in the USA. I don't live in a huge city and rent for 3 bedrooms is $900 where I live, to give you context about my choices for pricing.Starting Expenses:MacBook Air: $800 (bought it on Black Friday in 2016, returned by original buyer)Mouse: $20iPhone 6s: $650 (bought it in 2016, completely paid off)Squarespace Domain: $20/yearSquarespace Business hosting + SSL certificate: $216Logo: $29 (hired a friend to do it)Canva for Business: $12.95/monthLLC set-up + misc. legal stuff: $150 (used ZenBusiness - no affiliation)Upwork: $5? Maybe? (You have to pay to bid on jobs)How I Hit $5,000/Month + All The Mistakes Made:I didn't really know what a virtual assistant was or how long I had been doing it. I was roughly 18-19 years old, homeless (couch surfing), and needed money fast.I looked at Craigslist's "odd jobs." Found a job from a now popular porn site that paid people $35/hour with a $250 bonus, to label like 800 porn videos in 1 week. I was making about $1,000/week doing this but being young and naive, spent it all at once thinking that this money would always be there. Then they outsourced to India and every American lost their job.Mistake #1: I put all my eggs in one basket. From here, I continued to make this mistake. I made a good amount off of Fiverr, only to get my account closed because a client complained about something I don't recall doing (I rather not call her a liar). If it's on r/WorkOnline and doesn't require a degree, I've probably been there, done that, and continued to put all my eggs in one basket until I burned myself out.Mistake #2: Lack of self-care/sleep because I wanted to "grind/hustle" = Burn out = Declining mental health = Poor sleep habits = Poor eating habits = Poor hygiene habits = Health problems = etc. This phase of my life was a blur, but a very important blur because here, I was trial and error-ing different things I could do. I was blogging. I was messing around on Twitter with tools like HootSuite and MeetEdgar. I made websites on Wordpress and Wix and Blogger. I took $5/hour r/slavelabour-style jobs because it's all I was qualified to do.If I didn't know how to do it, I didn't let the client know. I Googled and spent hours on the forgotten corners of internet forums and Reddit, hoping to find the answer to a hopeless problem.I didn't sleep much or slept too much. My mental health went ignored. I literally started hallucinating and having meltdowns, which eventually led to my divorce, which will be more relevant later on.Mistake #3: I widely underestimated what people were willing to throw money at.Eventually, I learned what a "virtual assistant" was and called myself that. I also learned that a lot of people will pay you to do simple things they can't be arsed to do themselves - like upload a blog post, write an email, or do customer support. Or label porn.Think of a virtual assistant as a virtual "nanny" or "nurse" who does everything for the business/entrepreneur so the business/entrepreneur can focus on making money.(You're probably wondering where I found my clients. Upwork. Craigslist. Seriously.)By this time, I was making about $1,000/month - which is barely enough to live on. I apply for food stamps to eat, at this point.I slogged like this for a few more years, until my ex-husband had a mid-life crisis. He kicked me and the kids out.Mistake #4: Being comfortable. Not having a savings/emergency fund.My credit score sucks due to poor money decisions (don't worry, I'm subscribed to r/personalfinance and r/leanfire now to learn money handling skills) so I couldn't take out a loan to move. My Discord friends and 3 IRL friends (I don't have family, it's just me) loaned me about $500 altogether. I told all of my clients what was happening - partially so they could find a replacement or expect me to go MIA.To my surprise, ALL OF THEM, immediately asked, "How can I help?" One of my clients gave me a $500 advance on our retainer and contracted me to set up a Squarespace website for another $500. Another client put together a PDF of resources for single mothers and government assistance.I spent every penny I made as a virtual assistant, on this move. There is something life shaking about being homeless and alone (which I was when I started this journey). There's something terrifying about the idea of being homeless and alone - especially when children are involved. This is the turning point that lit a fire under my ass.I set a goal to hit $5,000/month by December 2019 - 3 virtual assistance clients at $1,000/month a pop and 4 writing clients at $600/month. I also take side projects that are non-retainer.Problem? I was very fucking alone.Mistake #5: Underestimating the power of people. Being a dick. Thinking I knew better. Shitting on coaches and guru's that I've never met. Here was my strategy, since I don't have friends, ad spend money, or time:Think of all current clients and clients from the last 6 months who have money and never had issues paying me. Pitch them the $1000/month idea. (Only one, of 10, converted, BUT THAT'S 1/3 SECURED).Make Facebook accountJoin 20 Facebook groups per day. Filter them. Add the top 10 (engagement and where my potential clients are) pinned to shortcuts.Add 500 friends/day who are potential leads.Make a website with a landing page for my business.Make people laugh. (Yeah, seriously. Entrepreneurship is so stuffy and stuck up sometimes, I needed a way to catch people's attention).Help people and don't pitch. (Because it's 2019 and everyone is pitching and when you don't pitch, people wonder who the hell you are and look at your profile, where you can conveniently leave your URL)My flat fee is $1,000/month. I will not take a dollar less. It's $500 upfront to secure me and I do not work until the next 2 weeks ($500/biweekly) is paid in full. I cannot chase non-paying clients.I don't have a "page" by the way. This is all my personal account. I did this religiously for 2 weeks and posted a lot of business-related memes. I shared stories about labeling porn. People laughed and told me they really liked my "energy." They felt safe.I went into Facebook groups and answered peoples questions and calmed them down when they had business issues. "My email marketing tool is not sending out my broadcasts" "I am not reaching over 10% open rate in my emails." All those years of Googling and slogging away paid off.Where do coaches and gurus come in? They have an audience. I learned that they are not necessarily going to make you rich but they are a pay to play model. I joined some girl-power group led by a guru ($15/month) and bought myself into her audience. I told her straight up, "Look, I'm trying to book out and this is what I do. Here's my website." She blasted my info to her audience. I ate a slice of humble pie and stopped doing the shit-on-coaches crap.My funny memes? People shared them.Every time someone offered "free coaching calls" I took them up on it. I wrote glowing reviews, which they SHARED. For the last month, people in these circles constantly saw my name and face. If these coaches and gurus with thousands of followers were vouching for me, I am trustworthy, and if I am trustworthy, my website is worth looking at.The rest was a waiting game. If people emailed me, I emailed back within 6 hours. If they inquired about me on Facebook messenger, I messaged back the same day.People booked calls with me and talked to me. I had to talk to a lot of people before someone finally said yes, but who the fuck cares. THEY SAID YES.This weekend, I booked out. I had to decline two people this morning because I just don't have time for more clients. I put them on a waitlist. But now I've secured $5,000/month minimum on retainer clients and I'm building my waitlist. Also, paid all my friends back. But, this brings me to my latest mistake:Mistake #6: No source of passive income and capping income.I've capped myself at $5,000/month :( So... what the hell do I do now?I'm going to create a source of passive income which I won't talk about here so it doesn't become a pitch. I'll attempt to scale it to $5,000/month. After that, I'm going to convert my virtual assistance clients to digital marketing clients and work on commission so my income ceiling is higher. I've never made more than $5,000/month so I don't know what I don't know and I intend to continue making mistakes along the way. Also, this subreddit hates coaches, but the majority of my clients are coaches. Best part? They have money. I plan on hiring one who offered me a very valuable free coaching call a few weeks ago.TL;DR:I spent a lot of time learning random skill sets and then learned people will hire me for the skill set. Spent years doubting myself and undercharging. Ex kicked me and the kids out. I panicked. Set up a website. Mass networked on Facebook. Did a shit-ton of free calls to get free business tips from guru's. Bought into low-entry groups for more visibility. Made people laugh. Did even more shit-tons of "discovery calls" for potential clients. Answered a lot of emails and inquiries. Asked. For. Help. And there you have it. None of this was glamorous or sexy, and I took almost a decade to get to $5,000/month but every journey starts somewhere, right?Hope this was helpful to someone out there. Have a good one.

F WORD WARNING
Wombwell Rainbow Interviews
I am honoured and privileged that the following writers local, national and international have agreed to be interviewed by me. I gave the writers two options: an emailed list of questions or a more fluid interview via messenger.
The usual ground is covered about motivation, daily routines and work ethic, but some surprises too. Some of these poets you may know, others may be new to you. I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I do.

The Interview
1. When and why did you start writing poetry?
When I was a kid and throughout highschool I always wanted to write. Mostly back then I would listen to Opeth’s album Damnation or Tiamat’s album Prey and try to come up with my own poetry but it never really happened. But eventually in 2008 I was enrolled in community college and playing in about 10 different bands. I wasn’t really happy playing music so I started thinking about writing again. One of the nice things about writing as opposed to film making or playing music is that there is no recording or filming process. It’s like pure expression, no strings, no tuning, no effects or cables. Sure, you need a laptop and there is always so much revision and study involved. And writing is such a more long term thing than music. A manuscript might take more than five years to go from draft number one to publication as opposed to an album getting written, recorded, mixed and released in a year or two. It’s not that one medium involves more or less work, they’re just different. And the process involved with writing really kind of seemed attractive to me back then. I could sit and read and then write on my computer and email my work to publications instead of constantly practicing and trying to get my riffs recorded on good audio and find a label’s mailing address and trying to get their attention and going on the road and all of that.
2. Who introduced you to poetry?
There are several things that do come to mind, though. Growing up in Galesburg, Illinois one hears a lot about Carl Sandburg. He was born here and a lot of things are named after him. I actually won a poetry contest in the 7th grade put on by his estate and his daughter gave me the prize at a ceremony held at his birthplace.
I think also in the 7th grade our class did a poetry unit where we read poets like Nikki Giovanni and Langston Hughes and Lewis Carroll and Edgar Allan Poe. Looking back on that now, it’s so weird. It was a Catholic school, so we were getting all of this militant right wing anti abortion politics, books like Harry Potter were banned. But we also read poets like Nikki Giovanni and learned about Oscar Romero.
Then once I was in public highschool, I think I started to hear people talk about poetry as something one did to express themselves. Or as a valid art form unto itself. Some people from my highschool used to get together both in person and online and workshop eachother’s poetry. They were who told me about Sylvia Plath and poets like that.
But it was really more professors at my community college that made it start to click for me. One guy was an eldergoth from the 80’s and also used to play music before he became a writer. He really helped me take poetry as something I wanted to do and turn it into something that I did. He taught, “America,” by Allen Ginsberg in class one day and I went out and got a copy of Howl. The title poem, Howl, really fucking blew me away. I think that’s the poem that really made me fall in love with poetry.
3. How aware are and were you of the dominating presence of older poets traditional and contemporary?
At first, very much so. That’s all we were taught in community college. The only non intro lit course was a two part Fall-Spring British Lit survey. I really didn’t like Beowulf or Canterbury Tales or the The Faerie Queene. I loved Shakespeare but didn’t really like Donne and Marvel and etc etc.
And after a month or two of the Enlightenment guys, I really fell for Wordsworth and Coleridge and Byron and the Shelley’s. I read their stuff for the better part of Spring 2010. Then a friend of mine that recently graduated from Western Illinois University asked me to help her run a local writing workshop. And while we were hanging out and planning it she showed me all of the texts they worked on at Western and let me borrow Richard Siken’s book, Crush. And after reading him I fell in love with poetry all over again.
Then once I transferred to the University of Iowa to finish my BA I chose a poetry writing course based on the instructor teaching Siken and Frank O’Hara. The Writers Workshop offers a series of creative writing courses for undergrads that anyone can take. And the instructors are all graduate students currently enrolled in the Workshop. We also studied Jeffrey McDaniel and the Dickman Twins and people like that. She also directed me to poets like Sharon Olds, James Wright, Franz Wright.
In other classes in the English literature department we read people like James Baldwin and Marilynne Robinson and Mary Swander and Raymond Carver and Jane Smiley.
During my last Semester there, Spring 2013, I started reading Maggie Nelson. She was around Iowa City for a bit in 2010 or 2011, guest lecturing and things like that, while she was publishing her book, Women, the New York School, and Other True Abstractions, through University of Iowa Press. So by 2013 everyone in Iowa City was reading Bluets. That book really changed my life. I read everything else Maggie Nelson wrote and then read every author she cited in her work, Simone Weil, Eileen Myles, Cookie Mueller.
Then after reading authors like Dodie Bellamy and Kathy Acker and Chris Kraus I started making friends that shared a love for similar writers. And then I more or less started getting plugged into communities of actual contemporary writers my own age doing the coolest fucking shit.
4. What is your daily writing routine?
It varies! I hate doing the same thing every day. But, I do prefer to write in the morning, first thing. I always hydrate first thing every morning. I’m obsessed with drinking water. Then I either make breakfast and a pot of tea or coffee or just start in on whatever project I’m working on. The longer each day goes on the more shit comes up. And I really need to focus when I write. So I like to get it out of the way first thing. Then it always isn’t in the back of my mind as I do everything else during the day.
In general I try to pattern my work ethic after my favorite athletes. Interviews with Kevin Durant or DeMarcus Cousins or Nyla Rose have taught me so much about what it takes and what it looks like to pursue greatness.
5. What motivates you to write?
I think it’s almost always been work that I admire. Sometimes it’s an interpersonal thing, a breakup or a great hookup or whatever. But almost always it’s because I’ve seen a great film or read a great book or watched a great professional wrestling match or athletic contest.
I really like raw, physically immediate work that takes real risks. That’s why I love pro wrestling so much. It’s such a physical, emotional form of storytelling. A great match from Mitsuharu Misawa in a lot of ways reminds me of a novel like The Orange Eats Creeps by Grace Krilanovich or Like Being Killed by Ellen Miller. Or more recently, Tessa Blanchard’s match with Sami Callihan. Tessa really connects with the audience with her tears and really honest cries of pain throughout that contest. That same feeling and emotion is present in Colt Cabana’s recent title defense against James Storm or in just about anything that Pentagón Jr. and his brother, Fénix do in the ring.
Same with the New Day, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods and Big E. I think they’re just about the most talented artists working in professional wrestling throughout this entire decade. There is so much artistic brilliance in their matches with the Uso’s or in Kofi Kingston’s main event work in 2019.
Besides wrestling, films like Night of the Living Dead by George Romero or Living Dead Girl by Jean Rollin really direct my artistic goals. Something raw, real, honest and immediate and emotionally and psychically potent. That’s what I’m always trying to chase and pursue in my own work.
6. How do the writers you read when you were young influence you today?
I think my passion for literature and video games and athletics and film have always been more or less intertwined. When I was about 5 or 6 I started watching the Universal Monster Collection on VHS and got obsessed with horror. I read all of the Goosebumps and Fear Street books from the Galesburg Public Library. I watched the Star Wars films on VHS and then read all of the Star Wars books at the public library. I watched Tales from the Cryptkeeper and Are You Afraid of the Dark and read all of the affiliated franchise novels that the library had.
I first became aware of professional wrestling after renting WWF Royal Rumble on the Sega Genesis. In 1993, 1994 and 1995 the only way to watch wrestling for me was from renting VHS tapes. So anytime I got any money I would rent as many wrestling tapes and horror films as I could afford and watch them over and over.
I didn’t have a computer or access to the Internet until 1999. So mostly every second of my free time was either spent at the library researching films and books or at rental stores reading the VHS boxes.
Crying is a really important spiritual activity for me. Victor Wooten defines crying as something we do when we aren’t able to express our emotions through language. I’ve always cried a lot, regardless of age. My favorite thing to do on my days off is to make a pot of coffee and listen to music or watch a film or listen to an audiobook and cry my fucking eyes out.
The video game Final Fantasy 7 really changed me. I played it fairly soon after it came out in 1997. I became so obsessed with the game. I cried when I played it and I cried thinking about it when I wasn’t playing it. The way it combines such lyrical music with so many incredible greens and blues in the color pallet just really connected with me. I read the strategy guide cover to cover so many times. Video game strategy guides were actually one of my favorite literary genres as a kid. I never owned too many games, but I could afford the strategy guides. So I just read them cover to cover, over and over.
So much of what I do now is born directly out of my obsessions from when I was a child. An interest in Universal Horror led to an interest in the 80’s slasher franchises, that fed into an interest in George Romero’s body of work and so on. Then once I was in college and started to learn about politics and theory and history, horror was such a perfect exploration ground. George Romero’s 1978 film Dawn of the Dead became a renewed obsession. I started thinking of 80’s slasher films as Reagan morality tales.
Coming out of the closet and living publicly as queer and trans for me was very much tied to learning about AIDS in the 1980’s. Reagan’s policies really effected my family in a lot of negative ways. Rick Perlstein wrote a really great two volume work that traces changes in right wing politics from Eisenhower through the 1976 Republican Convention. Those books were such great companions to The Letters of Mina Harker by Dodie Bellamy or I Love Dick by Chris Kraus and In One Person by John Irving. Artists like David Wojnarowicz tie so many things together. My mind has always worked in a language of synchronicity and probability and chance and myth. Things like Baseball statistics have always been incredibly meaningful to me. And the way David Wojnarowicz ties things like country music to masculine queerness really made me feel validated as a thinker for the first time in my life.
And during times when I really thought my writing was over and out, especially in late 2012 and late 2013, watching Are You Afraid of the Dark and some of John Carpenter’s films like They Live and Prince of Darkness really helped get my mind and heart together again. The same with 1931’s Frankenstein. I watched that film over and over as a child. But when I watched it during the fall of 2014 it was like seeing it for the first time. Boris Karloff’s performance is just something special. His unhinged screams during the fire at the end of the film really effected me in a profound way. You can watch that film alongside reading Chris Kraus’ novel, Summer of Hate, and learn a lot about violence in our society.
So yeah, the obsessions and concerns in my work now are very much reflected in my obsessions and concerns as a five year old.
8. Who of today’s writers do you admire the most and why?
There are so many! I think more than anyone, my favorite contemporary writers are Ariel Gore, Tiffany Scandal, Erika T. Wurth, Juliet Cook, Leza Cantoral, Christine M. Hopkins, Kristen J. Sollee, Joanna C. Valente, Nadia Gerassimenko, Juliet Escoria, Ingrid M. Calderon-Collins, Monqiue Quintana, I could go on forever.
Helen Oyeyemi is a genius. Sybil Lamb is a genius. Patrisse Khan-Cullors is a genius.
I also like Koji Suzuki’s novels. Edward Frenkel is another favorite. Karyn Crisis is writing and publishing a series on traditional Italian witchcraft that is excellent. And I do enjoy Haruki Murakami as well. Marisha Pessl is another favorite.
More than anything, I love how publishing is changing. Ebooks and audiobooks and the Internet are opening up so much to so many people. You no longer need to live in New York City or go to college to have access to a life in literature.
Technology is making literature accessible and possible for disabled persons as well. You don’t need a ton of shelving and space to store your books, you can read / listen while you cook or work or whatever. An average SD card can hold about 5 public libraries worth of books.
In general I just love where contemporary literature is right now and hopefully where it’s heading. Art seems more accessible than it’s ever been.
8.1. Why are they genius?
Helen Oyeyemi’s book, “White is For Witching”, is a novel that is as expertly written as it is affecting. I love books that aren’t fixed. Those Comp 101 tropes of, “Reliable narrator, unreliable narrator,” or, “Now class, to write well, we must first prepare an introductory paragraph with our thesis statement,”
Just turn me off.
I love it when an author jumps deep into the psychic mass of human bodies. The psychic and physical realities of humans don’t correspond at all to those 101 concepts.
And Oyeyemi’s, “White is For Witching,” to me is just about the perfect book. Everything in the narrative is always changing. Every sentence just feels so profound and impactful. It really challenges the reader to kind of move beyond the literal text and engage with the narrative more with one’s psychic senses or within one’s innermost being.
Sybil Lamb’s book, “I’ve Got a Timebomb”, is a novel that, to me, recalls Kathy Acker’s non-linear style. But Sybil’s novel specifically frames Acker’s queer, disjointed virtuosity within a transgender, W. Bush era framework.
As with Oyeyemi’s, “White is For Witching,” its rather difficult to get a sense of what’s happening, sentence to sentence. And that forces the reader to both rely on the depth of the language itself and also on their own psychic ability to sense what is happening. And as the novels continue, they each create such a powerful impact and resonance within the reader. Or at least they did with me. They changed my fucking life.
And Patrisse Khan-Cullors book, “When They Call You a Terrorist,” is one of the most profound works I’ve ever read. It’s in part memoir and part contemporary history. I think if someone was only going to read one book published in the 2010’s, “When They Call You a Terrorist,” is a book that person should choose.
I think for a lot of white people in the United States, we really ignore what’s going on around us. We don’t confront our white privilege. We don’t confront that our white privilege is sustained by institutional racism. We don’t confront that horrific violence is forced on people of color.
Throughout her book, Patrisse Khan-Cullors candidly talks about her life and the lives of those around her. And through her writing, she almost kind of gives the reader a choice. By describing the horror and violence of racism, the reader can either choose to be horrified and repent and commit to change or they can continue to block it out.
The narrative also is about the author’s journey as a queer person. She talks about the realities of being queer in highschool and being queer as an adult.
I think, “When They Call You a Terrorist,” is a book that has incredible power. If anyone doubts the ability of literature and narratives to change lives, “When They Call You a Terrorist,” can shake them from that complacency.
9. Why do you write, as opposed to doing anything else?
So, I think for me writing is the most accessible art form. You can do it alone, you don’t have to have a lot of friends or a lot of gear and money and things like that. You don’t have to go buy a guitar and learn how to tune it and replace your strings or learn about what a sine wave and a square wave are and etc etc.
You can go out and read books from your library or find ebooks and audiobooks online and dive in and start getting inspired. Also, libraries carry a ton of ebooks and audiobooks besides physical books. And if there’s something you want that they don’t have, they can almost certainly get it for you.
There’s no equivalent with guitars and drum machines and synthesizers. You kind of have to buy them or maybe at best rent them from a music store. And renting in that context costs money.
But libraries also have laptops you can rent for free and write on. You could base your entire writing career out of a public library if you couldn’t afford books, an internet connection or a computer.
You can just start reading and see what inspires you and go pursue it.
The Internet really helps one connect to other readers and writers and is such an excellent way to find and build communities.
Though, I don’t mean to act like writing is high up on the platonic list of ideal art forms. I live a fairly monastic life and I enjoy that way of living. Writing is a long term game. It takes months and more often than not years to write and draft and edit and revise and get rejected and get rejected and write and revise. It appeals to my temperaments.
And revising is as simple as reading and re-reading, deleting, re-framing, re-stating, seeking clarity and things like that. You don’t have to listen to abunch of audio on abunch of expensive equipment and twist and turn abunch of knobs and worry about re-recording a part or how something’s mixed or anything like that.
10. What would you say to someone who asked you “How do you become a writer?”
More than anything else, one becomes a writer by first reading and then writing and then going back and editing what one has written. The hardest parts about being a writer have more to do with time, money, stress management, real life shit.
When I was living in Iowa City, some of the best advice I got came from reading the memoirs of writers and artists that I admire. Especially Jeanette Winterson and David Lynch and Ann Patchett.
It’s easy to see ourselves as these nobodies and our heroes as deities. But just to share a small part of Jeanette’s story. After she was kicked out of her parents house for being gay, she used to go to the library every day and get books to read. Back then she thought it was required to read every text in alphabetical order, so she started with the first book in the A section and started working her way down the lines.
Eventually a librarian noticed her habits and told her that she can read any book she likes at anytime. That no one is required to only read books in alphabetical order.
I bring this story up because our crisis’ really hurt. When we lose a job, we feel like it’s the end of the world. When we go through a breakup we feel like it’s the end of the world.
And we feel like that because things really fucking hurt.
But one thing we don’t realize sometimes is that our heroes, the pillars of art, have gone through the same things we’ve gone through. David Lynch had to put Eraserhead on hold for more than five years because he was broke. He talks in his memoir, Catching the Big Fish, about going every day to the local Big Boy and drinking a milkshake while he thought about his ideas.
You have to imagine David Lynch not as the creator of Twin Peaks, but as a broke twenty something loser hanging out at the fast food restaurant every afternoon, starring off into space, dreaming about someday making movies.
Professional, capitalist culture teaches us that such dreams are shameful. We’re all taught to laugh and scoff or at best feel sorry for the girl heading out to LA to become an actress or the person living in their parents basement working on their first demo.
The hardest part about being a writer is learning to not give into all of that shame. A lot of people will talk a lot of shit about you. That will only ever increase in its intensity as you publish and do your thing.
Once, I sent a story to a publication and paid 3 dollars to have the editor give me personalized feedback. And this fucking guy sent me his feedback by gleefully ripping my work to shreds, sentence by sentence.
A couple of weeks later, that exact same piece helped me get accepted into a nationally recognized MFA Program with an offer including full funding.
I didn’t accept the offer because I hate college, but that’s a different story.
The point I’m trying to make is that you just have to never give up. Ever.
Read the books that interest you.
When you get an idea for a piece, write it.
And finish it.
No matter what, finish what you start. No matter how hard it is. You can always edit it later.
Then after you finish writing something, read some more books that interest you. Watch films that interest you. Pursue anything that interests you.
And read books that maybe don’t interest you. And read the books that interest the authors you really like. Read people’s bibliographies. Get the books referenced in their research and read them.
And everytime you get an idea, make a note about it. And when you have time, work on it and do the best job you can.
I think doing one’s best is great advice. Whenever you’re writing, just do the best you can. If you don’t have time to write, just make sure you write when you do have time.
Never give up and always do your best.
That’s where editing really comes in. There isn’t a writer that’s ever lived who doesn’t have to revise their work. In the moment, things seem so impossible. Our sentences always feel so bad.
But one thing you’ll notice, if you don’t give up, is that six months or so after you finish a draft, you’ll come back to it and see what you need to change.
And then six months or so after that, you’ll come back to your piece and see more things that you can improve.
Sometimes that six months only takes a few days or a few weeks. Sometimes it might take a few years. Writing can be a very mysterious process.
That’s why no matter what, you should always just do your best each time you’re sitting down to write. Do your best and let the gods sort out the rest.
If you want to go to college to study literature and writing, go for it. If you don’t want to do that, don’t.
If you like workshopping with other people, do it. If you don’t like it, your editors will let you know what you need to change and how to improve your work.
Some of my favorite writers are highschool dropouts and some of my favorite writers have multiple PhDs. The secret to writing is figuring out your own process and investing in it and devoting yourself to the work of reading and writing and editing and revising. And most importantly, the secret to writing is never giving up. Ever.
When people tell you that your work is shit, just move on. Never delete or destroy your own work. Just file it away and revise and edit it later on.
And I think it’s also important to be open to change. Both changes in your style and changes in your methods and changes in what interests and motivates you.
You might find that you start out writing poetry but want to write more fiction. Or you might start out wanting to write scathing, sexy queer non fiction but end up writing high fantasy novels.
Go with your gut.
11. Tell me about the writing projects you have on at the moment.
I’m in the process of finishing up a novel that’s tentatively called, “Like a Razor.”  It’s mostly about a young, out of work mathematician dealing with the loss of his primary partner in a polyamorous relationship. There is also a lot of professional wrestling & Satanism related esoterica and mystery involved.
I’m also working on putting together a couple poetry collections. And hopefully also a non-fiction collection dedicated more to examining spirituality and strategies for activism.
And hopefully all of these works will have a soundtrack that I’ve composed and recorded myself.
Thank you so much for this opportunity! I very much appreciate it

It'd be a complete NIGHTMARE!
You and I both know it would be! Well, the SOLUTION is to put automated information between YOU and your PROSPECT. So lets do the same voice broadcast or ringless voice drop to 1,000 prospects on a Tuesday afternoon but this time around, you use your (NEW) sms mobile number as a "buffer" between YOU and the PROSPECT. Bonus #2: New Report - How A Group Of Underground Marketers Are Leveraging The PHONE To Make $80,000 + Per Month From High Ticket Sales, All While "Goofing" Off! (Trust me, this report is worth 10 X the price of entry by itself!)
Bonus #3: Custom "Bridge Page" That Connects You To Your Prospects
No need to pay someone a couple hundred dollars to make you a bridge page. We'll give you one for free, inside of SMS Phone Leads. It's a page that you can customize with your own story based video, social media channels and even allows your prospects 1-click access to you via Facebook Messenger.
What IS a Bridge Page, You Ask?
It's simply a page that's "sandwiched" between your lead capture page and your primary programs info page.
First, you collect the opt-in, which 9 times out of 10 will be a 'cold lead', ie., someone (NOT) familiar with you or what you represent. So instead of immediately going into full-on presentation mode, which isn't good for you or your prospect, you create a buffer where the prospect can learn more about YOU in a safe space. The reason this is important nowadays is because your prospect is more interested in you, your story and why you choose to align with your primary program, even more so than his or hers interest in the biz opp itself.
Having this bridge page in place allows you to connect with your prospects and helps you position + pre-qualify + pre-sell, all at the same time.
NEW Bonus #4: Exclusive "Behind The Scenes" Peek At A Conversation I Had With A SMS Phone Leads Customer Who Sent 400 Texts For $3.80, Got 200 Clicks And Collected 10 New Opt-Ins For A Per Lead Cost Of Only .38 Cents!

A: Yes, absolutely! Every text messaging product, be it ours or anyones for that matters, runs off credits. Think of text message credits as the "FUEL", ie., like a car engine needs gasoline. With gas, your engine will run. Without gas, the engine will shut off. Same concept applies with your virtual mobile number.
What is mobile marketing?
Mobile marketing is promotional activity developed for delivery to cellular phone, smart phones and other handheld gadgets, generally as a component of a multi-channel project.
Now, don't get freaked out over any of that stuff, As that's all normal and it's (NOT) expensive at all. In fact, we've priced our text messaging credits to be very competitively priced, as low as .0095 per credit. For example, 1 text message = 1 credit. 1000 credits = $9.50.

How does mobile marketing work?
Mobile marketing includes ads that appear on mobile smart devices, tablets, or other mobile phones. Mobile marketing advertisement formats, customization, and styles can differ, as lots of social media platforms, sites, and mobile apps use their own special and customized mobile ad options.
According to the website, there are 7 good reasons why you will love this program. They include;
Instant auto text message reply- This feature allows you to create automated voice messages and text pieces that are sent instantly when prospective clients or leads dial/text your phone lines.

Five Breathtaking Facts About SMS Leads
Super Simple $20 Funnel Pays You 100% Commissions
Incredible Product. Great Training. Instant Cash-Flow.
You'll get your own virtual (SMS) mobile number
with "Instant Auto Text Reply" enabled.
Here's the basics, of what that means and how your mobile number can help you gain new leads and make more sales:
Benefit #1: Instant Auto Text Message Reply
What are phone leads?
phone leads can be a fantastic method to develop sales in addition to terrific client relationships, which in turn can cause more service down the road. Unlike text-based contact through emails, call provide your business a human voice that can link much better with prospects.
Dial or text your sms mobile number and instantly receive an automated text message reply thus furthering the conversation to a location your prospects are comfortable with, i.e., text messaging. You can use this auto reply feature to your benefit by sending a link to an opt-in page, a webinar registration or a blog post.
Benefit #2: 24 Hour Voice Mail Prospecting System
Want to prospect more people in less time? Turn your sms mobile number into a 24 hour prospecting machine by setting up mailboxes that deliver more information automatically. If a prospect wants to learn more, they can leave you a message or dial you directly.
Benefit #3: 1-Click Call Back For Voicemail Messages
You'll get alerted instantly via text message for any voice mail messages received. You can choose to listen to the voicemail from your text message mail-box as the audio is embedded for quick play back. Or you can 1 click the number the message came from and call it back.
Benefit #4: Promote whatever you want
Brick-n-mortar business, MLM, Direct Sales, small business owner, etc... any business that requires a consistent flow of new leads, can promote using our sms mobile number.
Benefit #5: Easy set up... average set up time is less than 15 minutes
You can set up a sms mobile number from any PC, laptop, tablet or smart phone. So long as you have a wi-fi connection, you're good to go. In fact, we even provide to you free Mp3 recording tools that you can use to record your marketing messages.
Benefit #6: You can use this offline or online... doesn't matter!
Tumblr media
Postcards, magazine ads, newspaper ads, email follow ups, voice broadcasting, ringless voice drops, websites, etc... are
just some of the more popular places our customers are promoting their sms mobile numbers to attract and collect new leads 24/7.
Benefit #7: Pre-qualify your prospects so they're not wasting your time!
Imagine you did a voice broadcast or ringless voice drop to 1,000 prospects on a Tuesday afternoon. The C.T.A. (Call To Action) is to call your personal cell phone for a "free" 1:1 consultation. Now, take a wild GUESS as to what will happen if you did this?
You'd get every 'Tom, Dick and Harry' blowing up your phone, asking you every possible question under the sun about who you are, what's this about, what company are you with, how much does it cost, is this a job, etc...?
It'd be a complete NIGHTMARE!
You and I both know it would be! Well, the SOLUTION is to put automated information between YOU and your PROSPECT. So lets do the same voice broadcast or ringless voice drop to 1,000 prospects on a Tuesday afternoon but this time around, you use your (NEW) sms mobile number as a "buffer" between YOU and the PROSPECT. In other words, they have to go through your SMS marketing platform BEFORE they can get a chance to talk to you.
Now you're using a SYSTEM. Now you're leveraging automation + technology to 'sift-n-sort' the prospects quickly, leaving you to connect with the most pre-qualified and ready to buy customers your marketing can deliver.
A lot of affiliate programs make you wait 30-45 days (if not longer) for your money. Not here. Our system will (INSTANTLY) send you $20 for each and every buyer collected.
Here's how this works, in 3 simple steps...
Step 1: Sign Up
Once inside SMS Phone Leads, you'll want to sign up for a (FREE) Stripe account. If you have an existing Stripe account, you can use it. Otherwise, you'll need to sign up for an account, which takes about 20 minutes to activate.
Step 2: Collect
Each sale our system tracks and completes for you, you collect 100% of the $20 payment. You can learn more information here on Youtube. This means if Bob buys from you, you get the $20, paid directly to you, even if it's 4 AM.
Step 3: Get Paid
Your money typically shows up inside of 2 business days from Stripe, automatically. There are no configurations, installs or downloads required.
Act Now And Instantly Qualify For The Following (3) Bonuses...
Bonus #1: 100 Text Message Credits
We'll give you 100 text credits so you can set up and configure your new sms enabled virtual number without spending a dime of your own money. When you're ready, you can add more credits to your account for as little as .02 cents per message! Now that's CHEAP marketing.

When You’re A Lawyer, Finance Matters
Tumblr media
Ed. note: Please welcome Jonathan Wolf to our pages here at Above the Law. He’ll be writing about issues related to the intersection of law and finance.
Elon Musk posts a tweet about taking Tesla private, and the SEC opens an investigation. Paul Manafort is found guilty on eight counts for financial crimes — five tax fraud charges, one charge of failure to report foreign accounts, and two counts of bank fraud — but he narrowly dodges conviction on 10 other equally opaque charges. You see yet another article about how Millennials prefer Bitcoin to stocks and we’re consequently all going to have to be working until we’re 87.
In today’s news cycle, these things barely register as a blip before we’re on to something else. But you have to ask yourself, especially as a participant in the legal industry, do you actually have any idea why the SEC might be interested in Elon Musk’s tweets, or what regulation he may have violated? Do you know why only one conviction for failing to report foreign accounts populates octofelon Paul Manafort’s rap sheet, but he got convicted on five times as many tax fraud charges? Do you want to save more and invest wisely, but lack direction beyond a vague recollection that you should skip avocado toast and maybe buy some tulip bulbs from our good friends the Dutch?
These are the types of questions we are going to be taking on in this column, viewed through the lens of the legal profession. I’ll tell you what I know, and research what I don’t. I’ll do the heavy lifting so that you don’t have to. Because this shit matters.
You don’t have to be particularly savvy to realize that there are winners and there are losers in the U.S. economy, and that there tend to be patterns about who ends up a winner and who ends up a loser. Yet, it doesn’t have to be this way. Policy interventions matter, and to know what to do to achieve a better, fairer, and more equal financial landscape for all Americans, we have to start with taking a hard look at our existing financial laws, potential areas for legal reform in the financial system, the headline-grabbing money matters that affect us both directly and indirectly, and yes, even our own personal savings and investment strategies. If you’re paying attention to the financial system, you won’t be left behind. Remember that scene from The Big Short where financier misfit Vinny is on the phone with the douchey-in-this-role-but-still-dreamy Ryan Gosling, and Vinny says, “Alright, listen, I got one last question for you: how are you f**king us?” Above all, this delve into the financial system will seek to answer that question for you.
As you strap yourselves in for this wild ride through tech celebrity CEO tweets and the myriad financial crimes of the Trump administration, you might be wondering who I am to guide you through this stuff. I’d encourage you to focus more on the content than the messenger, but I can tell you I’m a lawyer just like many of you, went through law school just like many of you, and work as a humble civil litigator at a firm of 26 attorneys in Minnesota. For you Travel Channel junkies, yes, I’m the same Jon Wolf who was the recent law school grad in the 2011 St. Paul episode of Man vs. Food Nation. My skill set has expanded since then, if that’s not enough of a qualification for you. I’ve been in touch with the SEC as part of my day job, but it’s not a regular occurrence (in my experience their attorneys are friendly and professional but take a long time to get back to you). The reason I’m writing this column has a lot more to do with the fact that I obsessively check my mutual funds five times a day rather than my day-to-day submissions to the esteemed courts of the great state of Minnesota. I like this stuff. Don’t write off all of us Midwesterners as hayseeds. In the column, I won’t stand on formality and I’ll do my best to avoid passing judgment on anyone for not knowing things that have probably never been adequately explained to them. And I’ll try to make it fun. Believe it or not, it’s possible to talk about financial matters in a way that people can actually understand and that isn’t boring as shit.
So welcome aboard! You have my thanks for giving this column a chance. Tune in again next week, and we’ll see just how far down the financial rabbit hole we can make it together.
Jonathan Wolf is a litigation associate at Rinke Noonan, a midsize, full service Minnesota firm. He also teaches as an adjunct writing professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, has written for a wide variety of publications, and makes it both his business and his pleasure to be financially and scientifically literate. Any views he expresses are probably pure gold, but are nonetheless solely his own and should not be attributed to any organization with which he is affiliated. He wouldn’t want to share the credit anyway. He can be reached at [email protected].

Money at 30: Everything You Need to Know About Flying Allegiant Air
When my wife and I moved to Springfield, Missouri almost exactly three years ago, one of the selling points (or at least what kept it in the running) was that there was a nearby airport that served a number of destinations. Unfortunately, while it is convenient, flying out of such a small airport can also get pricey at times.  This is especially true when you’re looking to fly last minute.
A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine needed me to head out to Orlando with just a couple of days notice. Normally I would fly Delta, passing through Atlanta on my way to Orlando International Airport (MCO). But, with ticket prices above $700, that didn’t seem very feasible for such a short trip. Luckily I remembered that Allegiant Air — a budget airline that serves a number of markets — offered direct flights to the Orlando area. Not only would I be able to fly straight to Florida on Friday and return home on Monday but my base fare came in at less than half the price of Delta.
Of course, with Allegiant being a “no-frills” airline, the experience of booking and traveling with them is a bit different from the big guys. With that in mind, here’s what you need to know before booking your Allegiant Air flight.
Booking Your Allegiant Air Flight
One of the first things to know about flying with Allegiant Air is that you won’t find them listed on popular third-party travel sites like Expedia, Priceline, or Kayak. Instead, similar to how Southwest operates, booking for Allegiant is done exclusively on their website. Once there you can explore which destinations they service, view flight schedules, and of course book travel.
Like I said, what really attracted me to Allegiant were their fares, which start at less than $100. However these base prices can be a bit deceiving as they don’t include everything your typical airline fare would. Additionally there are a few other steps in the booking process to be aware of.
Flight schedules
There have actually been times in the past where I considered flying Allegiant to Los Angeles. Sadly this never happened because of the airline’s limited flight schedule. For example my flight to Sanford (SFB — near Orlando but about an hour away from Walt Disney World) was being offered on Friday and Monday but not on either of the days in between. Moreover there was only one flight each way each day. Thankfully this schedule worked well in this instance but you may need to adjust your travel plans a bit if you really want to save with Allegiant.
Hotel and travel offers
An interesting aspect of Allegiant’s booking process is that, in between selecting your flights and entering your personal information, you’ll be invited to book hotels, rental cars, and other travel services. Presumably Allegiant has affiliate deals in place with these various vendors, entitling them to a cut of booking profits and allowing them to keep their fares low. It would also partially explain why they shy away from listing on third-party sites.
Personally I didn’t have any need to book a hotel, although I suppose it could be convenient to have all of your travel reservations in one place. Plus, from the limited research I did, it seemed the prices Allegiant listed were in line with other travel sites. I should also note that, unlike some other sites I’ve encountered, Allegiant made it really simple to decline these extra services and get to the good stuff, as it were. So, three clicks later, I was ready to enter my info.
Entering passenger info
This next step is fairly straightforward. Here you’ll enter your name, birthdate, e-mail and other information that’s usually required by air travelers. For those with special needs or who want to travel with their pets, this is also where you can make those arrangements.
Choosing your seat
After you select your flights, made it through the additional services sections, and entered your traveler info, the next step in the Allegiant booking process is to select your seat — or not. Unlike many carriers, Allegiant’s system allows you to either pre-select a seat and incur an additional fee or have a seat assigned to you at check-in without a fee. Additionally the various seats have different values assigned to them. For example a window seat at the front of the plane with extra legroom might be close to $30 while a middle seat toward that back of the plane might only be $12 or so.
Now, you may be asking why you’d pay to book a seat all the way in the back of the plane. Well, if you’re traveling with a group and looking for a place to sit together, that may be your only option on a fast-filling flight. In fact Allegiant advises that parties wishing to sit together should select their seats in advance as there are no guarantees this will happen if the computer assigns you a complimentary seat.
Luggage and priority access
Another big difference between most major carriers and Allegiant Air is that, with the latter, you will need to pay to travel with a carry-on item. That said they do allow you to travel with a “personal item” — such as a backpack, purse, or (my personal favorite) a messenger bag — as long as you stow it under your seat. In other words, if you want to be able to store your item in the overhead, you’ll need to pay up. Naturally there are also fees in place for checked luggage as well.
The bag fees that Allegiant charges can also vary on a number of factors. For one they advise that rates are far lower when you pay your luggage fees in advance, rather than wait until you’re at the airport. These fees can also depend on where you’re flying to. In my test case, a carry-on would cost $18 each way while each item of checked luggage would add $25 to the fare. Apparently each of these fees would go up to $100 if done at the airport.
Speaking of luggage, perhaps the most stressful part of flying for me is worrying about finding overhead bin space. Heck I presume that’s a large part of the reason why frequent travelers pine for elite status and the right to board the plane early. With Allegiant, such status can be purchased for just a few dollars. In my case I was able to purchase priority access boarding — which gets you on the plane after the typical preboard — for $6.49 each way.
Wait — but since Allegiant is charging for carry-ons, wouldn’t they know how many bags were coming on board and ensure there was enough space? Probably. However that’s not to say that the open bin space you seek will be located anywhere near your assigned seat. Thus, in order to avoid a scenario where I might need to swim upstream to retrieve my bag after landing, I’ll admit that I ponied up for priority.
Selecting a boarding pass option
Yet another question that will affect your final flight price is how will you be checking in? If you plan to print your boarding pass at home or use their mobile option, you will not have to pay any additional fee. However, if you’d like to have an agent print a boarding pass for you once you arrive at the airport, this will cost you an extra $5. For me the choice was easy and I had no problems using the Allegiant app and my mobile boarding pass.
Trip Flex, changing fees, and checking out
Finally, Allegiant offers a service called Trip Flex that allows you to change your flight plans without incurring change fees. For my flight this option would have been $26. Without it, changes could only be made seven days before the flight and would result in a $75 per passenger fee. Despite the fact that I was already beyond that window when booking, I declined Trip Flex and proceeded on.
As you’d expect the last step of booking your Allegiant trip is entering your credit card information. If you’re in the market for a new credit card, you can also save a few dollars by signing up for their Allegiant card. Otherwise just enter your existing credit card info, accept the terms and conditions, and clip “purchase my trip” to seal your booking. (Bonus tip: book the flight with your Uber card and earn 3% cash back.)
Flying with Allegiant
When it comes to Allegiant Air, the differences from major carriers don’t stop with the booking process. In fact some of the most noticeable differences come when you arrive at the airport and board your flight.
Boarding process
Admittedly I didn’t become too well versed in Allegiant’s boarding process considering that I sprung for the priority access. That said it seems that they utilized boarding groups like most other airlines. When flying to Sanford, passengers would just line up once their boarding group was called but, returning from Sanford, they had a few lines already set up for each group.
The seats
Allegiant’s fleet is outfitted with leather seats that, to me, appeared to be a bit thinner on padding than most airline seats I’ve experienced. Meanwhile the legroom in my standard seat seemed about normal and posed no issue. However it should be noted that I am not a large man, neither in weight or height, so unfortunately I’m not really the right person to fully assess the comfortability of Allegiant’s seats. Still, for my less than three-hour flight, I was content.
Food and beverage
If you’re one of those travelers that can’t wait to hit cruising altitude so you can get your complimentary tomato juice, I have some bad news for your regarding Allegiant. While the airline does offer a number of snack and beverage options while on board, each of these comes at a price. For example cans of Coke go for $2 a pop (pun intended). Each of these purchases can be made with a credit card as they do not accept cash. In short, if you want to munch or sip during your flight, you might want to pack some snacks and fill a water bottle before boarding.
In-flight crew
To be honest, I had nothing but positive interactions with the gate and in-flight crew while traveling with Allegiant. In fact, on my flight home, one passenger had some medical issues arise and the crew proceeded to take good care of her, handling the whole thing very professionally. I suspect some people who aren’t prepared to pay for water or aren’t happy with where they need to stick their luggage might take it out on these crew members, which is a real shame considering what pleasant people they seemed to be.
My Impressions and Thoughts on Flying Allegiant
Overall I have to say that my experience flying Allegiant was quite positive. For one, even with the additional fees and upgrades (some of which I could have avoided), my total was still $250 less than flying Delta — and was direct (well, it was a longer Uber ride from Sanford than MCO, but still). Furthermore, as I’ve been monitoring Allegiant’s flight prices, I’ve seen tickets from Springfield to Sanford going for as little as $63 each way! With flights from here to L.A. starting at $78, it might even be worth arranging an itinerary where Allegiant takes me to LAX before boarding a flight with a different carrier to Asia or wherever.
As far as traveling on a budget airline, considering that I’m not big on eating or drinking while in flight and don’t have many leg room requirements, there was really nothing for me to dislike about my flights. That said I will say there was some noticeable wear and tear along with some dinge on the plane, but nothing rising to the level of being a turn-off.
To conclude, I’m definitely interested in flying Allegiant Air again and would likely purchase the same upgrades as I did this time around — although I might forgo a carry-on if I’m taking another short trip. On the other hand it’s nice to know that some of these add-on fees can be passed over if I so choose. For that reason I’d recommend checking out Allegiant the next time you need to fly.
