Season 2 - Birthday Ball
#moversposting#rich putting those flowers behind his ears... pretty...#going into my list of screenshot redraws#mouse is soooo cute when he gave that flower to nina aaa. he acts shy after that it's so sweet#i also like that nina puts it behind her ear too#also! this a bit off topic but while trying to find words the search results wrote about wearing flowers behind ears in hawaiian culture#and according to it. wearing on the right means you are looking for love while on the left means in a relationship/unavailable .#so. nina's wearing that flower on her left ear .#which could mean nothing ahahaha i just thought that was interesting. i can't verify if that information is true or not so#take it with a grain of salt. it was just related to the screenshots

ok sorry I'm studying Ren in a lab again. random thoughts
- he has asymmetrical earrings, one stud on one ear and two in the other. curious decision. but I do adore it.
- I love how he looks like he's trying to pose in a "I'm not posing, this is natural" way in his "melancholic misfit" card and in his sr uniform card and his casual outfit r card because it just makes me think he does care a lot about how he looks and how he's perceived. I just think he's the kind of person who spends a decent amount of thought and time to put together and outfit that looks like he's NOT trying but also doesn't make him look slobby. He spends time making his hair the Right amount of "I didn't do anything to it" but he did. For sure. so I also think he smells nice and fights really hard against smelling like the diner or any of the animals in Jabberwock. he puts effort in. He just won't let it be obvious. But I Know.
- I think he's one of the taller (not tallest but not mid or shortest) ones canonically? and I'm personally a believer in him just being bigger than he wants to even acknowledge. Like he doesn't want to take up space or be the guy who someone looks at when they're like "I need a strong man to help me carry these chairs!" Bc he doesn't want to help, but everyone probably was like. 👀 You will help, right? You can carry it right? case in point, carrying Haru in the Jabberwock chapters and being like whatever I'm not that strong, it's just easy when you do it like this. Okay. But also how did you know that? Also no, no it's not that easy to just fireman carry someone AND a little octopus AND a little bunny monster. I know you're a ghoul but christ. And he complains that Haru makes him lug around heavy things around Jabberwock. I'm only stating facts here.
- okay now I've pulled out the demonology research below
(source)
(source)
I'm crazy and I researched the demon that his stigma is likely unscrambled out to be. Of course take this all with a grain of salt because although I screenshot these from book excepts available through Google scholar, well... It's demonology and hermeticism and occultism and I'm not here to debate their credibility.
Anyway. Not much that explains explicitly what Ren's stigma would be, but our tsundere lazy gamer bf being contracted to a demon who ENCOURAGES sloth? Yeah that tracks.
also (source)
HMM? She who walks in the sea (recall Astaroth is the evolution of a female goddess Astarte/Ishtar/etc) and our gamer bf hates the water? Hmm.
(source)
this just was funny to me. he's built but he looks kinda fucked up.
(source)
and again, the commonality here is that 1) Astaroth stinky and 2) has some kind of knowledge of the past, present, and future/can divine these things at will. So? Why is his stigma related to cleaning/making the mess disappear? Could it have to do something with this control over the past/present/future? Can he change when something is occurring/has occurred? I have no clue, especially when, when it comes to ghouls who have some kind of idea about the Timeline, signs point to Taiga being the one to have that knowledge. If you look up Balam in the same books, well...
There is considerable overlap. So.... I don't know what to come away from this with lmao
I hesitate to make any theories based on the evolution from a fertility goddess because it's a reach and I have little to no expectation that it will be a point in his lore in game, but the information is there for you to do with what you will.
There's not that much like juicy information I could find in my short search that wasn't pay-walled or of dubious authenticity (reddit, blog post from 2003, etc). I could probably spend the time and find more, but alas, I don't have that college access to databases anymore </3 Please let me know if you come to any theories from this though!!
#tokyo debunker#tdb#ren tdb#im running up to people in the street grabbing them and screaming im a jiro girl. a jiro girl i swear please believe me. please please#if anyone at fault here it's ren shiranami. im killing him.

Zodiac Legacy Challenge
Welcome to the Zodiac Legacy Challenge for The Sims 4. This challenge was created entirely by me, @liisims, with the help of information from the internet and inspiration from the people around me. The challenge is based on the 12 zodiac signs, with each generation representing one zodiac sign.
Rules:
- Play with a normal lifespan.
- While I don’t recommend using money cheats, it’s up to you.
- The heir can be any gender (for simplicity, a female heir is used as an example).
- Complete the aspiration, max out the career, and achieve the max level in all listed skills unless instructed otherwise.
- Utilize the specified traits; their order doesn’t matter.
- The suggested number of children is a guideline, reflecting my vision for each generation. It’s not obligatory; feel free to interpret it as you wish.
- If you share anything related to the challenge (screenshots, gameplay, etc.) on Tumblr, use the hashtag #zodiacliisims , and tag me @liisims.
I recommend reading at least one generation ahead before starting the challenge. For instance, if you’re currently on generation 1, make sure to familiarize yourself with the rules and description for both generation 1 and 2. This is particularly helpful as it often provides insights into how the generations grow up. Ofcourse, how you play is entirely up to you!
My love for challenges started by watching Clare Siobhan play the amazing not so berry challenge from @lilsimsie and @alwaysimming . When I looked more into other challenges I realized I wanted to create my own, and well here I am now! Sharing my first challenge. Before creating this challenge I made sure to look at no other zodiac inspired challenge as I wanted it to be 100% my own. Disclaimer: this is based on some things from the internet and people I know irl. Take it with a grain of salt! Enjoy!
Generation One: Aries
You’re a career driven overachiever. You love fitness, like LOVE. You can barely go a day without some physical activity. Your love life is a mess, you go from partner to partner and rush into things way too quick. People either really like you or they really don’t, it’s probably cause of your strong personality.
Traits: Self-Assured, Outgoing, Active
Aspiration: Super Parent
Career: Law (Branch of your choice)
Skills: Research and Debate, Fitness, Parenting
Children: 3 (Each child with a different partner)
Generation Two: Taurus
You’re a stubborn homebody. You prefer staying in for the night rather than going out. Growing up your mom always took very well care of you. However, you were just really stubborn and did not listen very often. You do really love your friends and family, as keeping good relationships with them is very important to you.
Traits: Loyal, Erratic, Goofball
Aspiration: Neighborhood Confidante
Career: Freelancer (Branch of your choice)

You’re the “perfect” daughter. You always listen to your parents, until…. you become a teenager. You start to rebel, and your relationships with family and friends slowly weakens. Once you become a young adult you try your best to make up for it. You discover you actually are outgoing and decide to become a ‘youtuber’.
Traits: Outgoing, High Maintenance, Perfectionist
Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy
Career: Videomaker, use ‘The more views video station’. (This isn’t an actual career on the list.)

You’re an ambitious gardener. You really love growing plants, but you also love eating them! You grew up in quite a chaotic household. Your family could be pretty overwhelming sometimes. Traits: Hot-headed, Vegetarian, Ambitious
Aspiration: Freelance Botanist
Career: Gardener (Branch of your choice)
Skills: Gardening, Logic or Flower Arranging (This depends on which branch you choose in the career.)

You’re the center of attention. Or atleast that’s what you always want to be. Dating a lot, and then secretly destroying love life’s will definitely get you attention. Just seems like a easy way to go then, right?
Traits: Romantic, Self-absorbed, Cheerful
Aspiration: Villainous Valentine
Career: Critic (Branch of your choice)
Skills: Writing, Charisma
Children: 4
Generation Six: Virgo
You’re a wellness-obsessed neat freak. Seeing your mom cause so much mayhem in others lives growing up, you just really wanted to bring them peace. You discovered you love wellness. As well as helping other people! You can get quite jealous though when co-workers try to steal your clients…
Traits: Neat, Jealous, Family oriented
Aspiration: Self-care Specialist
Career: You won’t have an in game career. You will just go to the spa and host classes, give massages, etc. This is because there isn’t an actual wellness career.
Skills: Wellness, Cooking
Children: 1
Generation Seven: Libra
You’re an indecisive music lover. You had a great relationship with your mom, she decided everything for you. So now you really struggle with making firm decisions. But there is one thing you’re sure of… you LOVE music. The right music just makes you wanna dance your feet off.
Traits: Dance machine, Noncommittal, Good
Aspiration: Musical Genius
Career: Entertainer (Musician branch)
Skills: Comedy (level 3), Piano, Guitar or Violin (level 8)
Children: 3
Generation Eight: Scorpio
You’re a passionate foodie. You love food, but it has to be of best quality. When you were younger your mom made lovely home-cooked meals. Which is where your passion for cooking began. Once a teenager you took over this job from your mom every now and then. Until you realized, this was the way to go for you!!
Traits: Snob, Overachiever, Clumsy
Aspiration: Master Chef
Career: Culinary (Chef branch)
Skills: Cooking, Gourmet cooking
Children: 2
Generation Nine: Sagittarius
You’re a true bookworm. You’ve always been very book smart. Even though your mom really wanted you to become a master chef just like her. You’ve got a blunt tongue and made clear that wasn’t the direction you wanted to go. She did pass down one thing though. Her love for food, hence why you are also a big foodie.
Traits: Bookworm, Childish, Foodie
Aspiration: Nerd Brain
Career: Education (Branch of your choice)
Skills: Research and Debate, Comedy, Logic
Children: 4
Other: Must adopt 1 child.
Generation Ten: Capricorn
You’re a self-challenging oddball. You love creating challenges for yourself. You’ve always been extremely socially awkward. So what better career choice then to become a politician. You’re very ambitious, so you try your hardest to persevere every challenge.
Traits: Socially awkward, Ambitious, Genius
Aspiration: Inner Peace
Career: Politician (Branch of your choice)
Skills: Charisma, Wellness
Children: 2
Generation Eleven: Aquarius
You’re an innovative helper. You have a very creative way of thinking, and coming up with solutions. Which is why you are so good at being a doctor! You don’t show it often, but you really love helping other people. You truly value being in the company of others.
Traits: Creative, Proper, Squeamish
Aspiration: Neighborhood Confidante
Career: Doctor
Skills: Logic, Handiness
Children: 1
Generation Twelve: Pisces
You’re a sensitive soul. You love outing your emotions in art. Growing up your mom was always very supportive of you and your dreams. She did her best to support you in every way she could. You’re a people person and very easily influenced by the people and their emotions around you.
Traits: Gloomy, Art lover, Good
Aspiration: Painter Extraordinaire
Career: Painter (Branch of your choice)

why not the most pressing topic
(be warned, armchair phycology inbound)
oh Pansear highlight of this community (past tense) they made amazing things, such as the kiss me kill me map, their comics period, and left an empty wasteland in their leave.
God what a fucking mess, they closed off there final message, leaving the rumors to run rampant only for the source to let the blame fall a step down the chain.
I dont blame Azriel, i find it hard to do that, they are just a minor, just like me. They take just as much responsibility as us, the spread it without fact checking, you know who else did that? And they had an excuse, mental health and a particular distain for our long gone friend. (Witch mind you in fact is totally justified, they where the one wronged by Pansear, its up to morals for us to forgive Pan, but Azriel is under no such obligation.) And hey, look at that, the internet beat the shit out of them, doing exactly as I expected and not thinking a single intelligent thought.
Speaking of which I need to real quick give some sympathy to those poor bastards I just insulted. excuse me if this might get long, but I find it eager to attempt an understanding for each party in this shit show:
You, a young teen, have looked up to a famous artist for making works that you personally relate to. You follow them religiously watch there every step and treat them like a king, their word is law. You have had their work lift you, help you though the days where it just doesn't feel like you can make it. You might even find someone who kept fighting on because of that work, it might have saved someone's life.
one day you wake up to find a post, something about how pansear is a pedophile, about how they support grooming, about how they are a bitch and deserve to rot in hell. Well, you might have seen that last part, I'm sure it was out there some where. Needless to say you were devastated, it was now dangerous to even support this person you loved, and had helped you though maybe even your darkest times.
It's a hit, but you survive, Pansear assures you of that. They continue to post, they seem pretty down, and you feel very down, the whole situation tugs on your mind, not all the time, but in the late hours of the night, where instead of sleeping, you think, you think about how it all could have gone better.
then tragedy strikes again, something far more conclusive, the claims previously put out now spread like open flame, lit by the gasoline of 4 screenshots.
it hurts, it hurts a fucking lot, you cry, you cry a fucking lot. Worse, Pansear isn't here to defend them self, they left, Pansear left. If it was harder to ignore, now its impossible, you cant focus, you cant even talk about it, then you would be "defending Pansear."
that would hurt, that would hurt a fucking lot. And you have not choice but to let this rage simmer for about 2 weeks, and after that time.
you find reason to let it boil over. Who could blame you, no where to put this stress, no where to put this anger, you go to whoever you can, and (for lack of a better term) beat the shit out of them.
excuse my writing, i got a habit of that. but i should clarify, i was not there, this is a prediction of how i would have reacted if i where a bit farther down the rabbit whole. I know Pansear was popular, it gives me reason to believe that this might be a common experience. Or perhaps it was different. Perhaps for some they had a server, a place to talk about there feelings without judgement, where they could prosses loss. (i know by way of my self that this might have been the first time someone truly lost someone else)
So take that story with a grain of salt, but i do find it rather important to ask you, why? Why did we have to be so cruel to each other, could we not have taken a step back and realize that name calling and death threats only made things worse.
There is a reason, even for the most extreme situations, that someone says "do not harass anyone." When did we forget that?
I should clarify, I'm not sure how the fandom as a whole responded, I'm not on twitter (GTFO of there if you are) and where I am on tumblr, it was not common mention. I've reason to believe that the story is not entirely of my mind alone, simply because with size it becomes harder and harder to not have one of each person.
i think this will be my first rant, i have only spoken on one of the things i want to talk about i have thought a lot about this, in the dead of night. i dont think ill forget this, but i will chose to remember this as something positive, what ever positivity i can get out of it.
to anyone out there reading this i think its important to let you know what i believe is the final message sent in Pansear's discord server, not the emote ones but the forest.
to anyone struggling out there, remember, Pansear believed in you. i take solace in this message, you should too.

Hiiii I have a community question I wanted to ask!!
Abed mentions all sorts of movies and tv shows through out Community, but I just wanted to know if maybe you have like a list of which ones are real and which ones he seemed to like more than others.
I can only think of the dark knight because of the dvd Annie broke, and the Star Wars movies (except he apparently hates the prequels) and cougar town!
great question! sorry for the delay on a response.
so, he mentions/references an insane number of movies and tv shows throughout the series, and I unfortunately do not have a list of every single one. although, I am (VERY slowly) working on an in-depth episode-by-episode analysis of the entire series, and listing every pop culture reference is a subsection in that. but that's not helpful right now. moving on
I don't have the picture, but there's this questionnaire abed filled out (outside of the show, it must have been uploaded to a website as promotional material for the show). he says his favorite movie is a tie between:
ghostbusters (1984, comedy/horror)
an american werewolf in london (1981, horror)
back to the future (1985, sci-fi/comedy)
blade runner (1982, sci-fi/action)
stand by me (1986, adventure/comedy)
stripes (1981, comedy/war)
star wars (1977, sci-fi/fantasy, also called "a new hope")
star wars: the empire strikes back (1980, sci-fi/fantasy)
star wars: the return of the jedi (1983, sci-fi/fantasy)
ferris bueller's day off (1986, comedy/drama)
jaws (1975, thriller/adventure)
raising arizona (1987, comedy/crime)
jurassic park (1993, adventure/sci-fi)
seven (1995, crime/mystery)
the matrix (1999, action/sci-fi)
the goonies (1985, adventure/comedy)
the breakfast club (1985, comedy/romance)
real genius (1985, comedy/sci-fi)
better off dead (1985, comedy/romance)
the fog of war (2003, documentary/war)
pulp fiction (1994, crime/thriller)
(btw if anyone knows what I’m talking about and has the screenshot please rb with it! I cannot for the life of me find it lmao)
I believe this is a list he apparently made in 2009, either in the first few weeks of school or right before the school year started. so it's possible he would answer differently as the series progressed. also, I do take some of these extra-canon things with a grain of salt, as on the same form he said his favorite place on campus was study room D or something, when obviously they definitely meant to write study room F. so, the credibility of my source for this information isn't exactly rock-solid. although, he does mention a lot of these movies on screen, and expresses love for many of them (the most notable ones probably being star wars episodes IV-VI, the breakfast club, and pulp fiction)
as you can see from the list, abed particularly loves american movies from the 80's. just a trend I thought I’d point out.
here's a few others he mentions loving, or just pretty notably references:
the dark night (2008, action/crime, as you mentioned)
rudolph the red-nosed reindeer (1964, musical/animated, is the whole basis of 2x11 abed's uncontrollable christmas)
the shawshank redemption (1994, horror/crime, is the basis for his plot with troy, annie, and shirley in 4x05 cooperative escapism in familial relations)
freaky friday (I believe it's the original one from 1976 specifically, but it's been remade a bunch. comedy/fantasy. it's the basis of abed and troy's story in 4x11 basic human anatomy)
rambo/first blood (series starting in 1982, action/thriller. abed talks about how messy the progressive series titles are in 3x14 pillows and blankets)
ocean's eleven (2001, crime/thriller, the basis for the heist scene from 3x21 the first chang dynasty)
hearts of darkness (1991, documentary/war, abed mentions it while pointedly filming dean pelton's production of his greendale commercial rather than helping with the commercial itself. similarly, hearts of darkness filmed the making of apocalypse now)
apocalypse now (1979, war/action, see the above explanation)
die hard (series starting in 1988, action/thriller, abed mentions wanting to do a die hard homage for christmas multiple times throughout season 4)
good will hunting (1997, thriller/romance, troy and abed's story in 1x24 english as a second language is filled with references to this movie. abed is doing homages on purpose, troy is not)
my dinner with andre (1981, comedy/drama, abed does a very elaborate homage at jeff's accidental expense in 2x19 critical film studies)
indiana jones (raiders of the lost ark, temple of doom, and the last cruscade only. he mentions loving the first three indiana jones movies in 1x04 social psychology)
aliens (1986, action/adventure/sci-fi, he and troy dress up as an alien and ripley in 2x06 epidemiology) (side note, I believe they're specifically referencing aliens, which is a sequel to alien. could be wrong though)
blade (1998, horror/action, they watch it over the course of 3x15 origins of vampire mythology after troy and abed assert multiple times that it is an amazing movie)
I think he generally talks about movies more than he talks about tv shows, but he does mention quite a few of them. some notable mentions are:
friends (1994, sitcom, mentions at least twice)
m*a*s*h (1972, sitcom, mentions in passing in 1x05 advanced criminal law, and references throughout 1x13 investigative journalism)
the cape (2011, action, mentions throughout 4x13 advanced introduction to finality)
who's the boss (1984, sitcom, is the premise of his whole storyline in 2x20 competitive wine tasting)
LOST (2004, sci-fi, mentions at least twice)
obviously there are a LOT more, but I just tried to list some of the most important ones, plot-wise and for understanding of his character. hopefully I’ll be able to get back to everyone with a super long list of every tv show and movie he ever mentions lmao, but that'll take a while. (there are lists online that say they list every movie and tv show abed has ever mentioned, but ngl I don't 100% trust those, so I’ll make my own lmao. but I put the link to one of them if you're curious. here's another one too)
at this point anyone who has seen community knows there are some really really big ones that I haven’t mentioned yet. pieces of media that are INTEGRAL to abed as a character. I was saving them for last lmfao. they are:
kickpuncher
inspector spacetime
cougar town
if I had to pick a holy trinity of media for abed, it would be these three things. these are EASILY the things he talks about the most, which is interesting, as both the kickpuncher movie franchise and the inspector spacetime series are completely fictional, and only exist in the community universe. (this is probably so they can show abed actually watching some of the shows/movies he talks about, without the obvious copyright issues that come with playing clips from an already existing movie/tv show on your screen. they kind of do that with blade in 3x15, but they only play vague fighting sounds, and never show their tv on our screen. anyway. not relevant.) to answer one of your questions from the ask, I believe those two are the ONLY fictional pieces of media abed talks about. as far as I know, everything else he mentions is real, including cougar town.
kickpuncher is obviously reminiscent of sci-fi/action films from the 80's, like robocop. like I said earlier, taking their place so that they could have a more substantial role in abed's on-screen life without any copywrite worries. it's a whole franchise, so there are multiple movies: kickpuncher, kickpuncher 2: codename: punchkicker, kickpuncher 3: the final kickening, kickpuncher: detroit, kickpuncher: miami (?), and kicksplasher (?). kicksplasher is apparently shown as a poster on abed's wall, and I’m assuming it's from the same franchise, although that could be wrong. the point is there's a very elaborate universe for kickpuncher, and it's a big part of abed's, and later troy's, film taste. the first time they mention it is in 1x15 romantic expressionism, when abed, troy, shirley, pierce, and chang all get together in abed's dorm room to make fun of stupid movies together. it's funny that it was introduced as a stupid movie to watch ironically, then troy and abed both end up genuinely loving it lmao. classic
inspector spacetime is obviously reminiscent of doctor who. they're both british sci-fi series that have been running for decades. doctor who uses a police box to travel the multiverse, while doctor who uses a telephone box. doctor who has malicious daleks who chant "exterminate," while inspector spacetime has blorgons who shout "eradicate." the concepts of the shows are obviously the same, with the actor for the doctor changing every season, etc etc. they're essentially the same exact show, but, like I said before, changed slightly so they can world-build without getting copywrited. there is something a little bit silly about this, though. it's definitely a continuity error and it's up to everyone whether they want to accept it as canon or not, I guess, but there's an episode where abed is actually wearing a doctor who t-shirt. (it also references bill and ted, but the doctor who part is what's relevant.) here's some pictures:
awesome shirt tbh, but it is a little bit funny that is essentially makes it true that doctor who and inspector spacetime both exist in the community universe. and, these pictures are from the cold open of 4x11 basic human anatomy, which is way after inspector spacetime is introduced to the show (3x01 biology 101). so, is inspector spacetime just a rip-off of doctor who? is abed a fan of both shows? if he is, clearly he likes inspector spacetime better. anyway. I would guess that this wasn't intentional. but that is definitely a tardis on that shirt. maybe it's just a classic season 4 continuity mistake. oh well. I guess that's just how the cookie crumbles. anyway.
cougar town time! yes, it's a real show. I didn't think it was but it is. what's not real is cougarton abbey, the short-lived british remake that britta gets abed into in 3x01 biology 101. but yeah. it has 6 seasons and is streaming on hulu, if you're interested. I’ve heard it's not good but who knows for sure. something cool about cougar town is that abed is actually in an episode. let me be clear: not danny pudi. ABED. it's similar to the story abed tells about being invited to the cougar town set and shitting his pants while having an existential crisis about the layers of reality. here is a youtube clip of the scene. I found out about it while stalking danny pudi's wikipedia page months ago, you know, a typical sunday afternoon activity, and I saw a cougar town credit on there. I didn't even know it was a real show at that point so you can imagine my surprise lmao. anyway. idk if you knew that already but it's one of my favorite community easter eggs. so funny.
okay! I hope this is enough information to suit your needs, and I am once again opening the floor to anyone who wants to add anything 💯 this was fun, thanks for the ask, and stay fresh everyone ✌️
#classic sadquickchristmassnowman blunder of writing an entire goddamn essay to answer a simple fucking question#also just to be clear george lucas went back and fucked with the original star wars trilogy#so unless you really put some work in to find the original versions of the original trilogy#you won’t be watching the versions that abed loves the most#sorry my indoctrinated me into his elitist star wars opinions#but I’m keeping it in the tags as to not clutter up the information with more of my senseless yapping#anyway#community#nbc community#community nbc#abed nadir#media analysis#community encyclopedia

Some more possible scraps of interest from possible DA:D leaks on Reddit, from another Reddit user, under a cut due to DA:D spoilers:
first, the usual set of disclaimers that should be kept in mind with all leaks: might not be real, unable to verify at present, sometimes leakers think they’re right about things but are unintentionally incorrect or got some wires crossed, games change a fair bit between development phases and final release, the opinion-based stuff is completely subjective, take with grain of salt etc.
I tried to gather comments together in bundles where it would make sense (if on the same or related topics).
-
They commented on the timepoint of development that their information is from, saying "It's up to date." and that they played much more recently than last October. Someone asked "Alright so this is like alpha or pre-alpha video right? Which means what we see is subject to drastic change." (basically asking if they played the same build as the Reddit leaker who shared screenshots/gif) and they said "Ehh, that would be based on how soon it’s released. Because I’ve playtested it recently, and if that video is old, then they’ve changed essentially nothing about it and probably don’t intend to lol." "Between when your comment was first written and now, I’ve learned enough to be convinced that it was indeed from at least a year ago, so you were right. I’ve just played a much more recent version." "Nope, completely different. But I read through it thoroughly just now, and that person is right. Based on the write-up [Insider Gaming report], it is pretty old. They’re talking about missing textures and placeholders. In my playthrough, they could’ve told me the game was done and I would’ve believed them. Definitely wasn’t from the same test." So it sounds like folks leaking played different builts/different playtests at different times.
Someone asked a bit more detail about what playtesting involves and they replied "Certain part of the game. I played specific missions, story missions, so I wouldn't know anything about the sidequest fluff." "I played in the middle because that’s how most controlled tests for games work. You almost never just hit “new game” and start from the beginning."
Reddit user: "Rook is the name of the protagonist. Like “Inquisitor” was in DA:I." Someone speculated that Rook would be a fridged prologue companion like Jenkins Masseffect (F) and they replied "As someone who has played the game, don’t try your hand at the lottery for a while lol."
Reddit user: "Grey Warden isn't the class" [of the character seen in some of the screenshots] "I’m not confirming or denying the existence of different origins, but “Grey Warden” was not the class."
Reddit user: "I've played it. You can't directly control party members. A more apt comparison (and it's extremely weird that they didn't reference this [referring to the first Insider Gaming report] considering it's another bioware franchise) is Mass Effect. It's exactly like ME's wheel where you hold RB or whatever it was, and choose what ability they use." "They can always change it, but I've played it and unfortunately, I can confirm. I personally don't care as I never switch to companions in games where you can anyway, but it's exactly like ME in that aspect."
Reddit user: "Given the timing, I'm 99% sure his source is someone I played with." "Nothing in the leak that was stated definitively is incorrect." [referring to the first Insider Gaming report]
Reddit user [re: combat]: "I've played it, and tbf, it was closer to XV than to say, DA:I" "Combat felt like Andromeda with melee weapons. Take that for what you will lol." "XV was in reference t the combat wheel. It wasn't over the top at all though, it played like a typical action game (ie not teleporting everywhere)." "I've beaten all 3 [existing DA games] and have played Dreadwolf. It's nothing like the other games. It's action combat. Grounded though, not in a fantastical way like DMC." "I don't remember a wheel in XV, but then again I havent played it in a long time. What it is exactly like though (and them not using this descriptor makes me feel like they don't play bioware games) is Mass Effect. I've played it. The wheel is exactly like the ME games."
Reddit user [re: combat, when someone was asking about hack 'n' slash]: "It's more like Inquisition, although I wouldn't describe it as either. Plays like an action game." "What they meant [in the Insider Gaming article] is that it plays like an action game. So not like any of the DA games" "I described my playtime to friends as "Andromeda but melee"." "I thought it was fun. Funner than the DAs of the past. However I never really took advantage of all the tactical options in Bioware games, so if there's someone who is looing forward to that, they'll probably have significantly less fun than I did." They also confirmed the existence of skill trees, a map, choosing the PC's class, companions who used classes and jumping & a jump button. They said that there are 4 ability slots ("I was only ever able to use 4."). There's blocking but not parrying. Stats are levelled up automatically like they are in DA:I, so no skill points to allocate manually. "I’ve played it with 3 companions and 4 skills."
They confirm the following infos from the first Insider Gaming article:
- "The game still lacks features;" The game is missing voice lines and has a lot of placeholder text. - "Dreadwolf has a lot of similarities with previous games in the franchise;" AND "You can recruit members to your team"; The article basically just describes a Dragon Age game. ***POSSIBLE SPOILER*** "It’s understood that you’ll be able to move from your hub to missions by passing through a mirrored portal." - "You cannot control your team members, but you can issue commands to cast abilities;" Key word here is currently perhaps - "Combat will be hack n' slash-like and will be like Final Fantasy XV;" The article did not say it's hack n' slash like FF15, but the combat wheel itself is more like FF15 (I never played FF15 so I don't know if it's a time-slow type ability wheel or what).
and added on this topic, "I can confirm 75% of what that person has said, and the other 25% I just never experienced. Don't know why they would lie about it." "Unless they change it in the future, you can't directly control companions." "I've played it and can confirm everything in that article except for the release date and multiplayer stuff. You cannot directly control your companions, and its full hack and slash" "Other than what I didn't experience (multiplayer/hub) it's all true. Down to the part about a 1/10th of the lines not being recorded yet." "I can confirm almost everything in that leak." "Multiplayer I didn't experience, nor did I experience the hub world that was described, although the portal thing is true." "The hub thing he described, I never played, but I did use the portals he was talking about." They also commented on the missing voice lines, "It's implemented, they're just not all there yet. During my playthrough Id say maybe a 10th of the lines were missing, and a good amount of the monster sounds." "Oh for sure, it’s definitely not a mess at this stage. On the contrary, the environments are pretty beautiful. Only things that were missing were a few audio clips."
Reddit user [re: mirrored portrals and an open world]: "I can't confirm the existence of one, I could've just never experienced it from my time with the game, but I myself never played anything that could be considered open world. Funny enough, I never thought about that until your question just now. But it would make sense from what I played."
Reddit user: "Combat's are great, cutscenes' are decent. Best ever as far as Bioware is concerned (which should be a given). What's not great are the facial animations. Granted the game isn't done yet (and might be far from done, who knows), but as of rn, it's Andromeda 2.0"
Reddit user [re: not controlling party members]: "It's true." "Unless they change it sometime before release, which I doubt, I can confirm that you cannot." "I can confirm. You can't directly control them." They also commented that companion control felt like Mass Effect.
When someone said "i hope they don't mean a real "action" combat, and it would still have those Dragon Age" they replied "That's exactly what they mean." Someone mentioned no party member control and hack n slash, FF combat and they replied "Can confirm, both are true. I wouldn't say "will be like XV", and technically that's not what he said either. What he meant was that it's more of an action combat, not that you'll be teleporting around." Someone asked if it compares to Elder Scrolls and they said "Uhhh, yeah I guess. I usually play Elder Scrolls in first person, so that comparison would be kinda weird to me, but third person elder scrolls I guess would be more accurate than any of the past DA games. ES combat has no weight to it though, and this has weight. For real, it plays like Dark Souls games if you took out the invincibility frames and all the things that make them "hard"."
Someone asked about the party size, and they replied "Yeah, 2 party members and then a third based on what mission you're playing. Weapon wheel to control 3 abilities each for the two companion's you've brought and then 4 of your own abilities." "Now I will say, Idk how far I was into the game, so it's possible that it'll eventually open up to 3 of your choosing, but I played multiple missions and the third person was whoever you were helping at the time." "It’s still 4 [party members in total, so PC+3]."
Someone asked about what's happening to Solas and they replied "I have no idea lol. He was mentioned in passing seeing as he's the big bad now, but I never saw him or anything." "in Mass Effect for instance right? WHat Sovereign was up to wasn't described in every main mission. It wasn't even described in most of them."
Reddit user: "The look of the hair was pretty damn good I will say, the physics of it though, I didn't really pay attention to. Everything about the graphics looked sufficiently next gen, except for the facial animations. They're still Andromeda level, maybe a step up." "Everyone else's hair is great. Your character's hair is...decent." "Graphics are sufficiently next gen except for facial animations. They were the one stand out." "Movements are less stiff feeling, even when people are still. Animations and movement are better as well. They were satisfying to me, but of course, that’s subjective." "visuals and performance were pretty solid from my experience. That could obviously change though."
On facial animations someone asked them "You said that facial animations were only a bit better than those in Andromeda, but how do they compare to Inquisition? Because I think in Inquisition they were somehow better or at least didn't stand out that much like in Andromeda, despite the latter being newer game. I think I'll be okay with them being just a bit better than in Inquisition" and they replied "I’m looking at clips of Inquisition now and I think you hit the nail on the head when you said “at least didn’t stand out as much” because tbh, Inquisition and Andromeda weren’t that far apart in that aspect, they were definitely made using the same process, but Inquisitions somehow don’t stand out as much. Idk whether it’s because a lot of the people talking aren’t human or what. But it looks more like that than Andromeda. But because technology has gotten better, it looks better than both. I guess the conclusion is it still has that stiffness that both of them have, where it looks a couple steps removed from a robot that gets told to move pieces of their face X way at X time, but then at the end come back to Z position. So I guess I’d say the faces look and move like an HD Inquisition. I would’ve compared it to that instead of Andromeda, but I never realized they were so similar until you pointed it out lol."
Reddit user: "Yup, a KO for you is game over." [a KO for the PC]
Reddit user: "The maps feel like they could've came from DA:I design wise."
Reddit user: "It feels the same but different. I know that's an incredibly bs non-answer but it's true. It feels like a 2023 Bioware Dragon Age. For better or for worse. Anybody expecting DA:I 2 will be disappointed." "It'll probably be worth it [the wait] in the sense that DA fans will find it passable. But at this point (keep in mind the game still isn't done) it's not something that feels like it took 10 years to make or anything. Which is probably due to them reportedly restarting development multiple times." "I'd say most things about the game definitely feel more like Andromeda then DA:I" "If they keep it pretty much the same as my playtest, average players will be happy, but people who play Dragon Age games specifically for the Dragon Age gameplay probably won’t be. It’s completely different."
Someone asked about whether it answers DA lore questions, and what the storytelling/spread of storytelling is like and they said "I was dropped in and out of missions, so idk, but I will say it has A LOT of story elements from DA:O" and then "Same answer"
On characters they said "I didn't spend a significant enough amount of time to make that call [whether they're as interesting as the chars in DA:I. they're quirky though" "I think the character designs are sick, but that's completely subjective." "I wouldn't say I had enough time with the characters to get emotionally invested." Also someone asked if the characters are 3D, realistic and complex and they replied "Stereotypes unfortunately". Someone asked how the dialogue compares to ME:A, expressing the opinion that their "biggest issue with MEA was the MCU-esque style of writing that made the dialogue sound like it was ripped from bad tumblr fanfics. I couldn't take most of the cast seriously because they sounded more like caricatures than real characters." They replied "😬 bad news my man. What you just described is exactly how I would describe it.
Reddit user [re: armors]: "Im not sure how to answer that. Nothing really stood out, if that helps. But then again, idk what parts of the game I played. Could've been closer to the beginning where you just get the plain stuff."
Someone asked them "was the camera a tight over-the-shoulder cam like Andromeda, or was it more zoomed out / character centered like DAI / other 3rd person games?" and they replied "Zoomed out, but then tight when you use the weapon wheel (which youll be using a lot)" The other user asked if it was like Mad Max, and they said "Actually that's not a bad comparison. Picture the camera a bit further out though." On tac cam, they said "I was part of the leakers playtest. As of now, there is literally no tactical camera, but like you said, who knows if they’ll add it sometime before release. Just don’t get your hopes up."
Someone asked them "Does it feel like a medieval fantasy game still? It looks so sci fi to me, like the eluvians are shitty Rick and morty style portal guns all of the sudden. Does the neon purple take away from that feeling at all?" and they replied "It didn’t feel sci-fi to me but it sounds like you’re referring to a deeper level than just baseline aesthetics, and for that I think it’d be subjective. If you’re not though, no it still felt distinctly fantasy. Some parts more medieval than others." Someone also asked about warriors breaking stuff in the world, mages restoring terrain and rogues picking locks and they replied "Let’s just say…the game doesn’t play in a way that requires those anymore."
Reddit user: "Map design was one of the best parts, and boy were they gorgeous. The greenery specifically was the only thing in the game where I was like "This is exclusively next gen, like they couldn't have done this on last gen"."
Reddit user: "I thought it was fun, but I mean fun is subjective. Things were changed about the series that some long time fans will hate and some people who never liked Dragon Age will now love, such as the lack of tactical options." "I thought the combat was fun, but fun is subjective ya know? For instance, you guys already know that all the tactical stuff is gone, and for someone looking for that, they wouldn’t find it fun. I guess the takeaway could be that it’s by no means bad. Footage and screenshots are real. That’s 100% the game."
Reddit user: "I’ve played it. Recently. And all of the things people are giving the “year old” line in reference to are still the case. So the likelihood of them being changed are very slim."
Someone asked them "Hello! Could you share (or hint in some way) if some of the characters from previous games will make an appearance? (Beside Varric and Solas, obv). Some old leaks implied Bioware considered dual protagonist at some point, so I'm wondering if it turned into something. Or, at least, any mentions about Inquisition?" and they replied "[besides Varric and Solas] Literally the only people I saw/heard about lmao, sorry. I also never experienced anything regarding dual protagonists."
Someone asked them "Did it look to be anywhere near close to done??? I mean it's kinda a dumb question because on one hand I think you may have only played a certain area... On the other though I don't know anything about why you playtested, nor do I want to but, I am interested in knowing more about the overall size, comparison of detail to say like anything new gen, and whether or not they incorporated newer tech such as haptics, adaptive triggering, graphic upgrade and is the story intriguing or pushed... You know.". They replied:
"No no, that’s not a dumb question at all. Tbh, they could’ve said it was releasing at the end of the year and I’d believe them. The only thing I could see that wasn’t finished were the voice lines, and not even that many weren’t recorded. Maybe 1/10th. Graphics were superb except for the facial animations (and given Andromeda, that might just be how they’re going to stay). Controls were solid, enemies were solid, abilities were solid, UI and menu all looked unique and finished. General gameplay was in a finished state. Had a couple glitches here and there but nothing that couldn’t easily be ironed out.
[re: about the overall size, comparison of detail to say like anything new gen] From what I played, it seems more instanced than open world like DA:I, so I can’t really compare it in size, and obviously the previous 2 games have been outclassed in terms of technology.
[re: whether or not they incorporated newer tech such as haptics, adaptive triggering] Not that I saw, but idk if that’s the type of thing they’d incorporate anywhere before near the end of development. You sound like you’d have a better idea of that than I would though.
[re: graphcis upgrade] Graphics are for sure upgraded. The flora in particular I would say wouldn’t have been able to be created before the PS5 gen. It’s that good. Environments, clothing, faces were up there as well (clothing and faces could’ve been better with your character, but everyone else’s were next gen).
[re: is the story intriguing or pushed] The thing about judging a story is that even the most interesting ones fall flat if you experience it out of order (unless that’s the author’s intention), which I did. Even with putting bits and pieces together from what the characters were saying, I really felt nothing because I was coming in mid storyline."
[source] <- read the comments in context for them to make the most sense ofc :)
Edit - Update:
New comment of interest from the user (thanku @ladymacbethsimp for letting me know!). Someone asked them "can you attribute a single emoji to every companion you saw? like an out of context spoiler kind of thing". They replied "Hmmm I can try…" and posted these three emojis/series of emojis:
The screenshots I have included here are screenshots of the same comment from 2 different devices side by side, as emojis/emoji groupings can change appearance depending on OS etc.
so.. an elven Black man, red hair woman and woman mage?

https://www.tumblr.com/terraliensvent/762628974139637760/httpsdocsgooglecomdocumentd1hedsgxllpfwh2z
You know, as much as I very much dislike Gin/Shark and think that they seriously need to get the hell off of the internet, this whole document really just feels like you’re exposing a heavy conversation that was told to you in confidence. It also has absolutely nothing to do with Terraliens other than the screenshots at the start of the document (which have no relation to the main points being made in the body of the doc).
Yes, it’s a lot to unload onto a 16-year-old, but OP reached out to Gin/Shark first to ask them if they were okay. And then continued the conversation / showed no signs of asking Gin/Shark to stop or let them know they were uncomfortable with the topics at hand. Which would give Gin/Shark the impression that it was fine to vent to you. If you truly didn’t want them dumping all of those things onto you, you should’ve told them that! Or nicely let them know that they should be telling this to a professional and not you: a 16-year-old stranger on the internet.
Also, Gin/Shark is only 19 iirc. As someone who’s in their late 20s, you don’t just automatically mature and become a grown ass adult once you turn 18. Y’all are pretty close in age, so trying to pull the “uuuuuh uh I’m a minor they shouldn’t be talking to me about this” card doesn’t quite work here. You just look like an asshole “friend” for betraying their trust and publicly airing out all the dirty laundry of their relationship with Coy that they vented to you privately. I sincerely hope Gin/Shark doesn’t find out that you posted this online because this is the last thing they need if they really are going to get better mentally.
If you’re gonna make a Google doc exposing them for something, this isn’t it. This just looks shitty on both OP and the mod of this blog’s part for not thinking that through.
post related
in MY opinion, 16 and 19 is a weird gap to be dropping all your incredibly heavy baggage on, at worst this is like a high school sophomore talking to someone who graduated 2 years ago.
also i find it weird you say "OP reached out first," especially since the ORIGINAL screenshots in the doc (and assumedly the first of these "vent" convos) is them reaching out and saying "are you ok? do you wanna talk about it?" and civ immediately jumping to "i stopped taking my meds and im coping with alcohol." thats an insane leap to make. i also find it weird that veal had to manage the emotions of civ, checking their college schedule and making sure they do their morning routine and whatnot, and the spam in dms when they were in class and away for an hour. these are weird behaviors between two people of any age.
im also gonna add this reply i grabbed from the snugzi blog (who also posted the doc):
its weird youre putting responsibility on the younger person to manage the emotions of the older person while also saying "if they didnt want to talk they should have said so," instead of saying it was incredibly irresponsible of civ to traumadump onto them, and its THEIR responsibility as the older person to check themself.
and as an additional note, from this screen you can infer that civ would primarily talk to veal to vent. you can see a prior conversation form a week before where veal is reassuring them again. im not saying this is rock solid proof, but from this you can ASSUME that civ might have just been using veal as a vent dump. again, assume, so take it with a grain of salt.
my conclusion is that its not the responsibility of the younger person who is being traumadumped on to say "you should see a professional about this instead of a 16 year old on the internet!!" that should be the responsibility of the 19 year old who is dropping incredibly sensitive info on them and spamming them every 10 minutes when they dont respond for an hour. and thats not even mentioning the power dynamic possibility.
when a friendship causes one of the members to reach out to a completely anonymous blog saying "I don't know how to get out of this relationship now just realizing what the extent of their actions is, I don't know what to do and it's scaring the fuck out of me," maybe that's not really a good friendship

do you mayhaps have anything regarding the biology of yugopotamians in ur lore notes, or anything else related?
I do, and I hold my Yugopotamian biology post fondly since it was one of my first big lore posts.
I do consider these posts outdated due to terminology I used back in the day (not to mention, I've changed things in my final lore), so take them with a grain of salt.
I plan to write new Yugopotamian lore posts with up-to-date lore and language when I'm closer to posting Mark and Vicky's arc in the 130 Prompts. Here are the existing ones:
Yugopotamian Biology
Yugopotamian Technology
Yugopotamian Name Culture
Related:
The Green Train story arc will explore Yugopotamia as well, once we reach that point in the timeline.
A post dedicated to screenshots of Mark being ridiculous - Interesting to see how his culture shows in his character
OG script of "Spaced Out" - Yugopotamia has 3 moons
OG script of "Scary Godparents" - Yugopotamians have 4 hearts
Yugopotamian calendar shown in this post - I think it's really funny that the king's birthday is a holiday (But specifically, it's not even his actual birthday- it's just observed).
The OG script of "Foul Balled" where Mark visited future Vicky in the nursing home - I just think it's neat he was still in squid form, since we know from "New Squid In Town" that Mark seems to assume he'll be welcomed in alien form and Timmy has to prompt him to go into hiding.
The bloopers reel for "School's Out - The Musical" suggests Mark knows H.P., since he calls him by name. I have some questions.
Here are two posts (Post 1, Post 2) that aren't technically about Yugopotamian culture, but capture my vision of Mark's relationship with Vicky really well.
Here's a post I made contrasting Mark and Vicky's relationship to Jane Eyre, which I was reading at the time and losing my mind over how toxic Jane's relationship with Rochester was despite my teacher being confused about why I thought they were toxic. It's not entirely about culture, but it's cool to look back on years later to see where my thoughts were and how I read Mark's character. I still hold by much of this.
My very first FOP post was about Mark and his relationship with Earth, and that's cool enough to toss on here, I think! Just an analysis of how he was interacting with the world and human culture.
Boudacian Biology & Society - Not about Yugopotamia, but Mandie's close, right?
Please enjoy them, but again - These posts are 7 or 8 years old, and some contain outdated lore and terms I no longer use today.
I look forward to delving more into Fairy World's relationship with Yugopotamia. Here are more things related to that:
- The Fae Wars - The early part discusses aliens engaged in war. Supposedly, the Snobulacs (from Season 9) kidnapped the ancestors of modern Fairies and Anti-Fairies and forced them into war. - Yugopotamians nearly wiped the Fae ancestors out multiple times, but they were defended by the Snobulacs. To this day, the Snobulacs demand tribute from Fairy World every year (on December 31st), which my 'fics reference on rare occasion (Ex: H.P. wanted to be part of the ships delivering tribute when he was young). - As time went on, Yugopotamians began a cautious friendship with Fairy World. They have trade relations under the Quadrant Pact and they're on okay terms... Tensions spiked a little with Cosmo and Wanda kidnapping Mark in Season 1 ("Spaced Out"), and Mark blowing up Fairy World in Season 5 ("The Five Days of F.L.A.R.G.") - Yugopotamians are one of the threats to Anti-Fairies. Anti-Fairies are sometimes captured by various aliens, who take their tongues because they're valuable in many societies (due to a belief that they improve fertility and luckiness in love). - The Fairy World port city Serentip - often referenced in my 'fics; its name translates to "Edge of the stars" - welcomes many alien trade vessels. There are a lot of strange goods in that area and you might run into aliens. Anti-Fairies give it a wide berth. - Here's a "Wishology" meme I made that still cracks me up
Thanks for asking!

The Watcher DLC - Personal Dissection
[SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED BASE GAME/DLC] Oh goodness me, Videocult has decided to drop a nuke on my already rotted brain due to this game and now I shall dissect this yummy meal bit by bit like the picky eater I am (in a good way this time though). And yall are coming with me because I said so. Really, this is just a great place for me to get my thoughts in order... cough. A lot of this is speculation! If I can find anything confirmed, I will try and write about it when I can.
Steam DLC Description
Let's start with the obvious- this basically confirms new creatures, regions, etc. This place seems to be in a completely different area than both the base game and Downpour slugcats, with new creatures to boot. I will go over the revealed regions/screenshots in more detail further down.
The descriptions states "the world beneath your feet cracks and crumbles", and while this could be linked to the Void Sea, the thumbnail art and font for the DLC's steam page and trailer depicts the Rot, and I am doubtful such an obvious detail would be thrown in there without it being present. Rot is only present where iterators are, and the only iterator we know of (in detail) to have the Rot is Five Pebbles, who got it by trying to rewrite himself. SRS gave him the pearl, but whoever wrote it is unknown, and I am highly doubtful it is 5P or SRS where this slugcat takes place in. It could be a pre-existing iterator like NSH/SOS (doubtful, but i suppose NSH would explain how Hunter got the rot if that is canon), a new one that also read the information that 5P and SRS did, or maybe even the one that originally wrote it that failed the experiment themself. This is a lot of speculation though and we will only really know for sure when more information is revealed. Take all of this with a grain of salt! I am just rambling possibilities.
New Regions
New regions are seen via screenshots on the DLC's Steam page. I will be attaching the screenshots here as well as what I speculate on what they may be/entail.
Starting with these two regions here, as it seems to match the most with the thumbnail art. At first I thought it was the foggy region below, but upon closer inspection this wall-like region incorporates more blue colors, fog/clouds are present, and would make the most sense for the rot to be present if this is indeed an iterator's wall.
Credits to shrinkshooter on Reddit for the enhanced image to the right.
This region looks reminiscent of 5P Memory Crypts, only in daylight. Whether this region serves a similar purpose to ancients is unknown. I considered the possibility of it being in a similar placement like 5P, but I am unsure if that would make sense due to the fact that 5P's shaded citadel is underneath his superstructure- hence why it is so dark in that region- when it clearly isn't here. (It could be completely separate from and not relating anything to Shaded Citadel entirely though!)
Mysterious looking underground region filled with green water. It's water guys. It better be water. Please no more acid, I'm begging.
This area immediately made me think of Spearmaster's start of their campaign, or it could be something reminiscent to Moon's Submerged Superstructure. Drainage System/Undergrowth also comes to mind.
Two desert-like regions are depicted here! While some speculation on the region on the right is it being a snow biome- I personally believe that this may be in face a dust/sand storm. Dust storms were planned during Metropolis' development in Downpour, but were scrapped in favor for the day/night cycle instead. Additionally, the snow particles present in Saint's campaign look drastically different compared to what is shown here. Additionally, there is Developer Commentary that talks about these dust storms for Metropolis. The dust storm effect looks different compared to what is shown, but it could have been possibly reworked to suit the region's look. Who knows though! Could just indeed be snow- but the entire area for this campaign looks to be generally warmer.
This region looks reminiscent to Sky Islands from 5P. Something to note is the lack of nearby iterator cities. This could mean two things: this campaign takes place far into the future, with surrounding iterators having already collapsed. Or...
It could be located on an desert island, right next to an ocean. Where all the water could have gone from this area will honestly be up to speculation until more information presents itself- however the seemingly coral-like structure to this region seems to point to this. It would also explain the lack of visible iterator cities in the background of the previous mentioned Sky Islands reminiscent region.
Additionally in one of the thumbnails for the DLC, water is present below the slugcat. (Then again, rain/water is present for all of em besides Saint eh?)
Additional Notes
An echo-like effect is seen around the slugcat in the previously mentioned thumbnail, as well as in the ripples in the water around it

The Curious Case of The Dead Wheeler Granny
Also known as: I need to make a cohesive post that actually has context so i can add it to the ✨ master post ✨. So basically if you already know, you know. idk.
So... recently have been thinking A Lot about weird "production errors" (tm) and creel home fuckery + wheeler parallels. Its no secret that there are Many references to the creel home in the wheeler home for whatever reason, from the piano to the wedding dress to even the clock chimes (?) close to the the door way of the wheeler home.
However one of the most fascinating Choices was when the main urn that sat on the wheeler mantle place since s1 suddenly changed to a completely different urn during the convergence of the four gates at the climax of s4. What was the reason for this? It's also no secret that ST is riddled with what we can call "intentional" errors in objects, peoples positions, etc etc. But why a seemingly random object that has been sitting in the background of the home for 4 seasons w/o any special attention? And why at the important climax of the season?
Season 1
Season 4- before the climax
Season 4- after the climax
(and this isnt even to mention the fact that the wheeler dining room is covered in rose vases that mimic the OG urn)
If you reference this back to the mantle place in the Creel home... there is something quite interesting:
A few little trinkets, weirdly placed and evenly spread out. There is a little bird (dove?) statue like how the wheelers have two geese statues sitting on their mantle place. Next to that though? A strange looking golden vase. Mind you, this is happened when Virginia is having her "holding up the mirror" moment. As in this mirror is right there reflecting Virginia and this little urn-looking vase trinket and the rose-y wallpaper behind her (which is interesting given that the OG urn has pink roses on it with a framed picture of pink roses next to it).
Put the Virginia relation in your back pocket for now. Lets go up to the stuff in the Creel attic, which are heavily referenced in the wheeler home, in particular the wedding dress:
Where has have we seen a piece of a brides clothing in s4? In Suzie's home, where her sister Tabitha is wearing a wedding veil, and you guess it, a pink floral (roses? Honestly the color scheme is very similar to the creel wallpaper mentioned above) dress:
In which Tabitha pretends to die. She's not really dying. The joke here is that Tabitha's father had thought she was dying though ("it looked genuine"). And oh... is that the edge of a grandfather clock I see right outside the doorway framed right there this scene?
If I was extra weird about it I could also point out that the letter blocks on Tabitha's bracelet kind of spell out (M?)AMA. But its super blurry and I cant get a good shot of it so take this with a grain of salt:
A little sprinkle of Petergate here but Tabitha is a woman who was raised from the dead by Saint Peter:
Which I mean... If we're going to talk about lying about moms dying? The "Nanas got cancer" gag in s3 in which... Hopper lies about Mikes Nana being sick but then goes onto say:
There's nothing wrong with Nana
Mike then proceeds to repeatedly call him a liar. So... nothing's wrong with Nana? Would that explain the weird trend of people specifically lying over the phone about having a sick family member also in s3/s4?
(credit: screenshots from this @/heroesbyler post - unrelated to this theory, I just think its neat)
And if we're talking about lies:
(oh holly girl... wearing that pink + white outfit and that rose shirt lmao)
And of course: Papa lies.
(don't even get me started on how the grandfather clock most likely represents Brenner ("maybe hes a clock maker?" and s4 literally starting with Brenner setting a timer))
But this begs the question... If, by all accounts, nothing is wrong with Nana, so much so it would be like she was raised from the dead, then who's ashes do the Wheeler's have on their mantle place thinking that its their granny?
Could it be, thinking back to the weird trinket on front of the mirror in the Creel home, Virginia's ashes instead? Quick question, where exactly are Virginia and Alice buried? Did Victor get a say in his wife's funeral arrangements?
And if Nana Wheeler's death was a lie designed to conceal a truth and Papa lies... ah who am i kidding it was martin brenner. it was fucking brenner who else would do some weird shit like this. it was him.
Anyways things like this really make me question why exactly the Wheelers are one of two main families in the show. As far as I know they didn't do much in TFS, so hell, why not Patty? Bob? The Sin Claires?
Regardless, I would really like them to be kind and rewind back to whatever is going on here if you know what I mean

Would you ever consider doing a colouring tutorial?
Heyooooooo
I've done a coloring post before (a few months prior), but somehow, my coloring/painting process has changed a lot since then lol. I'll give a breakdown of my process (and go into specifics on coloring) here, but please do take it with a grain (or a spoonful) of salt... I'm still very much learning, and though you can use my process as a guide, experiment on your own to find what works for you! This post got a little long I'm ngl so. open at ur own risk. it's really just me rambling and being a bit too pretentious for my own good
using my recent post as an example, my process is basically just:
first i get a clean sketch (after many hours of pain finding detailed references lol), not gonna go into that since you asked abt coloring
then i immediately go to block out shapes over the sketch. For big paintings, I don't do lineart (because i find that it eliminates a lot of depth that can be achieved with shapes and shading) — for smaller sketches and pieces, i'll do lineart tho.
I started darker to lighter in this painting because I knew I wanted harsh light. For me, it's a lot easier to project "additions" onto a surface — ie, if there's a harsh light, that's the addition vs. a shadow in neutral lighting as the addition. dunno if that makes sense, but breaking tones down like that helps me understand how i want to chronologically color smth and choose my bases:
for example, since I knew I was gonna have harsh light here, I felt comfortable with just getting the tones for my shadows down immediately. There won't be many midtones due to how extreme I saw it to be, so there was no point in finding a neutral base tone.
how i choose colors varies from painting to painting, but for this one, I decided to lean purple-blue because skk are just one of many red and blue gays (same reason why most of my other skk works lean red-blue-purple), and also because I knew I wanted my light to be on the warmer side — thus, the shadows and unlit areas will be cooler.
i also wanted it to recede (to emphasize the perspective and for depth), so for the base colors, i made them cooler + darker as they went back. This wasn't as clear in the finished product, but i think it did a good job at reminding me the vibe i wanted as i rendered
By how much I've written for this step, I guess you can assume that it's the step I put the most consideration into — and you'd be right. I think base colors really determine the vibe, and it sets you up for the rest of the painting. Sometimes I have to color adjust my bases over and over (with hue adjustments, color balance, curves) until I'm satisfied. I think that satisfaction is obtained w/ more ease as I've painted more and more. Alongside the sketch, this step takes me quite a while. Sometimes it's fun to mess with really wild color combos, but that's another topic.
Then I block out the lighting, which is probably the most drastic step but also somehow the quickest for me. Once you understand how light affects color (warmth, tone, etc) and you gain confidence with it, blocking out values in relation to base tones isn't too hard. That ofc takes practice and a lot of fundamental understanding of Shapes & Colors but there's a lot of stuff online abt the theory specifically from professionals, so I'm not gonna lecture y'all as a fanartist for glorified literary author rpf
then i just start rendering, layer by layer. above is a screenshot i took mid-rendering; at this point, dazai's clothes were basically done but I later worked on the face + hair more and textured the tie.
I try to do the stuff I want people to focus on first, because at least for me, that's when I have the most energy to make smth detailed — the more detailed an area is, the more naturally drawn you eye is to it (this is because the brain likes areas of high contrast, and details are entirely founded on the placement of contrast).
My art has never been too extremely detailed — I enjoy flatter + bigger shapes, styled texturing and silly patterns, but I find that "detail" still translates into "effort". When I look at paintings, it's very clear where someone put most of their effort — and when I can't tell, then I know I have a very confident + experienced artist who can effectively distribute their workflow (goalz). So yeah, I render in my very silly poly style but still keep that in mind.
eventually, I finish rendering. This part is kinda a blur tbh, and it always varies from artist to artist. I'd say the things I keep in mind are:
shape + form (making sure my rendering doesn't mess up gesture or vibes, and that it keeps things loose)
composition (making sure i don't overdo areas where i don't want people to focus on)
and tone (ensuring that the depth and believability of the scene stays intact so that my non-realistic style can work)
I added the bullet because i wanted a reason for the goofy expressions, just a bit more pizazz so that skk's drama was also believable lol. also visual storytelling or whtv (but that's not something i usually prioritize, it mostly comes with the concept and sketch).
I also added the bullet for some compositional spice. the dark shadow on dazai's arms was there to also emphasize the warped perspective, but it also left a weirdly empty vibe that I didn't enjoy lol. So yeah, bullet! and ofc my favorite, weird flowy line pattern thing that doesn't adhere to the laws of physics
I think a lot of my traditional painting experience leaks into my digital painting practice. I don't like lineart too much, and since I mainly work with acrylic, I rely on opaque color blocks, layering, and "carving out" shapes. probably explains my affinity for solid flat brushes in Procreate,,,,, but yeah. It's a little all over the place, but at its core, it's a lot of technical stuff mixed with habits after finding what works for me.
Dunno if this helps at all, or if it was interesting lolol. Thank you for reading until the end if you're still here! I appreciate it. I'm still learning but I've definitely learned a lot since I started this blog so it's exciting to track my progress. I'm sure I'll see this in a few years and laugh lolol.
#pleuart#pleucas#casasks#sorry it got a little long#i did Not proofread this so there will prolly be a bunch of typos. just shout at me i'll fix it

MY THOUGHTS REGARDING THE NEW DOC
Alrighty, just came back to tumblr after reading the new docs and am gonna detail me thoughts a little here. Might be a bit long so I apologize in advance.
In regard to just the new doc made by Alex, it does confirm a lot of my suspicions regarding Ven, DB, and Alex themself that I haven’t really mentioned anywhere aside from the DMs of a few close friends, the main ones being:
* Alex’s general reasoning over the course of this situation
* How generally uncommunicative (most, if not) everyone related to this situation was
As for actual substance, I wish that Alex had provided more screenshots or at the very least gotten the same screenshots presented in Ven’s argument to, at the very least, supplement his own (ex: how uncommunicative DB was being despite allegedly being uncomfortable with the speed at which the relationship was proceeding).
At this point, it’s just testimony against Ven’s and DB’s testimony AND evidence. While I understand where Alex is coming from that does little to defend against evidence in bulk.
What primarily frustrates me is the lack of mention of anyone else aside from DB, Ven, and, very briefly, the 16 as well as the 14 year old. My assumption is just that Alex wanted to contest the claims made in the original doc, but then wouldn’t have been better if he’d just waited and covered all of his bases?
Hopefully, Alex will get around to addressing those — otherwise I’m just stuck with the bad taste in my mouth.
At the moment, I don’t know my exact stance on the situation, however, what I do know is that l all sides should take a break from the internet after this is over as this clearly has negatively impacted all parties’ health.
I don’t 100% trust Alex, but I feel that Ven’s word should be taken with a grain of salt as they’ve previously professed their desire to releasing evidence in order to bring down Alex’s credibility as a public figure.
As for the other victims (e.g: mitcha, donut, etc.) I’m choosing to continue to follow them and sympathize with their struggles.
For closing stuff,
(You can skip if you don’t want to hear me talk about: kinks and sexual intimacy. I’m not gonna go in graphic detail but I just wanted to discuss for a moment)
I honestly just feel like some of the stuff regarding kinks and shit should’ve just stayed in the drafts as I don’t believe there is any solid evidence that Alex was “forcing” their kinks onto others outside of leaps in logic already applied to other arguments (ex: Alex was manipulating DB from the start based on later convos depicting a relationship where both parties are/appear to be reciprocating).
Sex is a valid means of expressing affection, I know people in my life who require that level of intimacy to truly express their feelings — this is in no way implying that sex is the only way to be in a relationship, just that people need different things. It just feels kinda scummy that demonstrations of sexual attraction between two adults was portrayed so negatively despite both parties matching each other (ex: “I’ll make the next one extra special for you” text).
That’s not all the stuff that I have gripes with from Ven’s original doc, but I don’t feel like being here all day so I’m gonna end it here.
Thank you for reading.

Stuff DaFuq?!Boom! has done, a masterpost
As a Skibidi Toilet fan and artist, I do NOT condone any of what he has done. Blugray is a bad person and I do not support him in any way, shape or form. While I may still make fan-content, it does not mean I support him and his shitty actions. Liking content does NOT equal liking creator.
As a notice, this is all I have found so far, and I haven't really bothered with finding anymore new things. I have a life, I don't even really want to make this post, but I'm making it for awareness sake. If you have anymore information about Blugray, feel free to reblog with it. Thanks.
I do usually refer to DaFuq?!Boom as Blugray, as that is one of his aliases and is also quicker to type.
TW: THE N WORD IS USED IN THE FIRST TWO TWEETS, AND MENTIONS OF NAZIS IN THE NEXT TWO.
Tweet 1: 2021 screenshots of Blugray using the n word, claiming he has the "n word pass" which does not exist and does not condone him using the n word.
Tweet 2: Literally a whole VIDEO of Blugray saying the n word, along with dropping a hard r in the same video.
Tweet 3/Tweet 4: Same video, just in 2 different parts. Blugray's take on the Ukrainian/Russian war. I do not and will not engage in this sort of discussion due to personal anxiety, but it's kind of just Blugray being ignorant and believing in the propaganda fed to him.
This is a screenshot that doesn't belong to me or the entity that sent it, but there's also a George Floyd joke he made which is pretty fucking insensitive.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Though it is not as serious (it still is serious, just not as much) as Blugray's racist behaviour, he has also been copyright striking basically ANYTHING he can find Skibidi Toilet related (I believe theorists and reaction channels are excluded???)
I do not know much about copyright myself, so take this with a tiny grain of salt. I don't use twitter, I simply just get sent these for awareness, and I'm putting them into a post to help others know too.
Many are bummed Blugray is copy-striking content, although he doesn't technically own majority of the assets of Skibidi Toilet, just the storyline alone (and the toilet models I think), along with the fact the Skibidi is a mashup of two songs, that both happen to be copyrighted (I think?)
On the other hand, others defend Blugray's copy-striking since there ARE idiots out there stealing Blugray's content, along with even falsely copy-striking one of HIS actual videos, which Youtube did a wonderful job (sarcasm) handling. Blugray may just be copy-striking everything just to not deal with anymore theft and false copyright strikes.
I cannot say much about this in particular, because as mentioned, I don't know much about copyright. Once again, take with a grain of salt.
Tweet 5: TL;DR: Blugray copy-striked Gametoons for a Skibidi animation they did. Gametoons reached out offering to Delete all their Skibidi videos, but Blugray offered to do some licensing instead, and promising to NOT copy-strike anymore of their videos. He then turned back on his word and copy-striked two more of their videos, which has lead to a chance of channel deletion, meaning Gametoons will be gone forever.
Along with copyright striking Gametoons, he also copyright striked a really popular Roblox Skibidi fangame apparently? I do not have evidence of this, I simply saw news that the game was striked twice, and if you look on Roblox now, every single Skibidi fangame has been renamed to not have "Skibi" in its title.
This is all I have by far, I will try to update the post best I can if anything new arises, but just a reminder, I have a life and I do NOT really want to dedicate all my time just for this post. Thank you.
——————————————————————
Update 1: Gametoons has been resolved. However, all other copystrikes still happened and tbh I’ve lost track of what’s happened at this point so uh yeah take that as you will.
#skibidi toilet#edit: i found out the difference between the r slur and the hard r which was why i got confused (i thought they were the same thing)#edit 2: gametoons update

Ok think I’ve finally got my thoughts together on the bright situation and im just gonna say it.
Its not gonna work.
It basically is just slapping on a new name on dr bright and calling it a day. Like. No matter what u do its the same character, it does nothing. Djkaktus said it himself that he was “always writing elias shaw.” That “any similarities are just a coincidence.”
So its funny seeing some of the ppl thats on board with this claim that “u cant separate the art from the artist” and yet that’s exactly what they're trying to achieve. Except, u know, the community had already done that a long time ago, ripping bright out of the hands of admin bright. So really, no change is actually being made.
Anyway with that out of the way I do want to address some concerns about djkaktus.
I’ve been looking around and have seen people mentioning that the dude:
1. Was quiet about the admin bright thing when it was happening along with actually being one of the people trying to cover it up
2. Had been banning people simply cuz they didn’t like his works
3. he’s an alleged predator
Now I havent personally found much relating to this other than people's words on it on tumblr. Tho someone on insta has told me that djkaktus was extremely quiet during the bright situation. Which yea it took an entire year after admin bright was banned to only now bring up this elias shaw bs.
Now if anyone has sources on any of this, links, screenshots, anything, it’d be a great help if ya can send it to me via replying to this post or dm-ing me. It would better help spread this awareness around.
Also regarding articles that had brights name replaced w/ SA jokes that haven’t been edited out which is something else that also has been mentioned to me, would appreciate it to get more scps/tales listed regarding that. Only got 4498 so far which has a really bad um…”butt stabbing” joke...I mostly did skim read it so I’ll have a proper read at some point.
Tldr:
- Elias Shaw is pointless and does nothing.
- People who are saying u can't separate art from artists are tryna separate bright from author.
- Djkaktus was quiet during the admin bright situation and potentially was tryna cover it up, has been banning ppl for not liking his stuff, is an alleged predator and hasnt edited out sa jokes in articles where he changed bright’s name.
Correct me if I’m wrong on anything or anything like that.
Edit: reminder to take the djkaktus stuff as a grain of salt (especially the predator allegations) as it did come from pixelated harmony who did in fact doxxed someone
Source:
Still I stand by that he was quiet about admin bright though and of course I still don’t believe the elias shaw thing is gonna work
edit edit edit: things are messy. u can look in the comments for more info I don't rlly know what to say beyond this point.
#scp#scp foundation#rant#dr bright#elias shaw#djkaktus#probably the last post I make regarding this#I’ll post art and stuff soon#tired lol

So I was browsing on Twitter and saw this on my timeline (Link):
The way my jaw dropped when I saw this! Now obviously, this is a leak and may not be true, this is just alleged speculation (so take this with a grain of salt), but if this is confirmed, then here's to hoping a remake of the series (and get Takahiro Kagami to direct the project because he's ✨🌟THE YUGIOH ARTIST/KEY ANIMATOR✨🌟 - best art style too fr fr!)
There's just so many possibilities and avenues the anime project could take, some say it's Yu-Gi-Oh R, others say Yugioh Season 0 remake, I'm not sure what it will be if it's confirmed, all I will say I'm glad we could be getting more content related to the OG series (I miss the gang/OG cast and Yami Yugi/Atem so much, can you tell? 😩😫😭😭😭😭)
There's a few possibilities and theories/ideas to what I think the project could be:
Anime series (either an OVA or a limited series???) post DSOD movie, a look into Yugi, Kaiba and the rest of the character's lives after the events of the movie. (Could be in correlation to that Solid Vision Experiment VR game that was teased months ago by Konami and that one art Kazuki Takahashi did of Yugi + Kaiba in space playing Yugi's game.)
Yugioh Anthology Series??
Mentioned before, Yugioh DM Remake.
Again mentioned before, Yugioh Season 0 Remake
Mentioned again before, Yugioh R Adaptation
Okay, now this one, hear me out! - Anime project surrounding Yami Yugi/Atem life in egypt as a Pharoah (before and after he was sealed in the puzzle), how he deals with being a young prince/king as he bears the responsibilities of one and bearing the weight of saving the world/his home. Including numerous lore about Atem's court(?); Ishizu, Seto, Mahad, Mana etc, ancient egyptian dark games, egyptian culture, the millennium items, the rivalry/relationship between Atem and Seto (their families), Seto and Kisara's relationship, more backstory on Thief King Bakura and Zorc etc. and probably a whole lot more (correct me if I'm wrong - haven't read the yugioh manga in a hot minute - but I remember seeing somewhere that Kazuki Takahashi had to cut a lot or some of the stuff out to allocate more leeway to the story. I'd imagine there's probably a lot of unused and uncut material he wrote/drew that wasn't gonna be used in the main story...)
These are just a few of my theories to what the project could be. Again, like I said before, if it does get confirmed you best believe I will be there!
Also in relation to yugioh news, Yugioh GX is getting a remaster (happy for the GX fans/girlies! Also unrelated note: but does anyone have like a download link to all the HD remaster episodes of Yugioh DM? Did they release a blu-ray edition of it, if not, they should ☹️) and there's gonna be anime episodes of that one video Konami released for the qaurter century anniversary/konami animation studio, the one showcasing animated shorts of the yugioh card monsters, so that's cool!
EDIT: so uh didn’t see the date of this tweet when I screenshot it whoops, (god I’m such a dumbass) so the tweet might be indeed in relation to the yugioh card monsters anime shorts/PV Konami produced months back, so my bad 😅. Please disregard it….Still it’s something interesting to think about in the near future if they do go back to the OG series with Yugi and the gang!

Answering that one ask about the Rhys screens
Here’s Zaga’s document: https://www.tumblr.com/csmingy/769684581582602240/hey-my-name-is-zaga-i-was-the-old-isopup-owner
TLDR Rhys had a friend server where they would actively talk shit about Zaga, joke about banning them, and someone there claimed Zaga’s schizophrenia “wasn’t that bad”. Keep in mind Rhys is seeing these people talk like this and doing nothing. They’re in here making ripoffs, talking about overthrowing Zaga, etc.
All while Zaga has no clue what’s going on and no one has really explained what Zaga did that upset them.
Rhys and Purple make a server dedicated to a public callout on Zaga for “poor ownership,” basically Zaga not communicating well. The server gets deleted after Zaga promises to work on the lore keeper.
Rhys and Purple push Zaga to pass ownership to them, so Zaga gives ownership to Purple. Purple then asks Zaga if it’s okay to transfer ownership to Rhys instead. They don’t even wait for Zaga to respond before giving the species to Rhys, which is something Zaga DID NOT WANT.
Zaga gets invited to the friend server after the messages about them are deleted. An old staff member goes to Zaga and explains all the heinous shit Zaga so called “friends” said about them. Zaga cuts contact basically.
Essentially Rhys is really two faced and pressured Zaga into handing over the species, all while claiming that the two of them were close friends when they weren’t. Rhys belittled and embarrassed Zaga behind their back and then tried to cover it up. They claim Zaga is so awful at communication whilst not even really trying to explain to Zaga what was going on. They then of course go into the public isopups chat and instead of talking about the actual issues presented they ramble about their slur usage.
I have seen the screenshots of Rhys using slurs and it’s not a “nothing burger” because the slurs Rhys is using, while they can reclaim, are being used to belittle and insult someone else, and talk about how said person is mixed and basically going to town on how this person wants their white family to love them, calling them a c*on, etc etc. basically talking shit about someone for having the audacity to be born mixed.
Take it with a grain of salt. I have the screens but I haven’t been given permission to share them, so until that’s actually released you’re under no obligation to believe me. I’ll see if I’m able to send them at some point to actually offer evidence. Until then basically Rhys just is not a good friend or person. They enable Gin’s piss poor behavior too and defended Gin for venting to a 16 year old about abuse, drugs, and sh. Like these people are just flat out awful. They don’t care about how they hurt people and will project and deflect until the day they die.
