wedding was set in the venue the aisle be with you mv was shot in. he swears it's a coincidence, but midori thinks otherwise (it really was a coincidence, he already chose that venue even before ring.a.bell formed. their parents think it's hilarious though)

everyone knows him as the "serious brother" between him and midori, but god knows he can be a little shit if he wanted to

exhibit A: before midori hit his growth spurt, he was a little bit of a shorty, nii-san who was taller used to put midori's favorite plushies on the tall shelves whenever midori annoyed him

exhibit B: used to (and still) takes pictures of midori whenever he catches him making a stupid face. he then sends the pictures to his wife, she thinks it's cute though

has definitely lived out the childhood best friends to lovers romcom/slice of life. absolutely winning with his relationship

he handles the more business like side of the shop like the taxes, the budget and other legal documents and issues. midori handles deliveries and stocking up the shop while their parents run the shop itself. they're working on trying to get midori to go get his driver's license (sometimes too busy with idol work and school and sometimes too tired/lazy to go)

despite working and co-owning a greengrocer, he absolutely hates asparagus. he's not going near those things, nor would he even consider eating them. midori used to put random asparagus sticks in his room for shits and giggles

High and Low: At World’s End - Chapter 6

< That night at the luxurious hotel in the southern part of Australia. >

Hajime: It seems “High and Low” is something like a low-budget travel show.

Midori: I’ve never watched a show like that so I don't know what it would be like…

Actually, I’ve never had any interest in watching TV when I was a kid so I don’t really watch any shows…

Hajime: I thought it was strange before but why did you become an idol, Takamine-kun?

Midori: That’s what I wanna know.

I’ve never wanted to become a celebrity… If anything, it’s the thing I never thought I’d actually be…

Hajime: Fufu. Sometimes, I also can’t really believe that I’m an idol as well~

When I’m watching TV with my little brother and sister at home and see myself on the screen, it feels like I’m watching someone else. Like, who is that person? –kind of feeling.

Midori: So you watch the shows you’re on often, huh…

Even if I get pre-release videos or photos from the shows or magazines that I was featured in, I’d just shove them in my closet without a second glance…

Hajime: Takamine-kun, do you hate yourself?

Midori: Do I look like “someone who loves themselves”…?

Hajime: You’re very cool so I think you should have more confidence in yourself.

Well, putting that aside…

I was really worried about Tomoya-kun since he was supposed to arrive this morning and I’ve kept sending him messages on the device they gave us.

But he won’t reply to me.

Midori: Everyone on the school trip had their phones confiscated, after all… Which means Mashiro-kun is on his way here, right…?

Hajime: I thought so too at first, but it’s way past his arrival time so it’s strange that he’s still not here…

But the reception on the device isn’t really good. I had no issues reporting to my family that I had arrived in one piece.

But for some reason, whenever I try to call an ES idol, the call gets cut off.

Midori: Maybe ES is experiencing some sort of radio interference… I don’t really know but maybe it’s really bad…

Hajime: Yes. That’s why I was in a pickle but Ibanyan and Eichi Nii-chan knew that I was worried and were really kind to me.

Midori: Shino-kun, you’re surprisingly good friends with some amazing people, huh… They’re basically the top people at StarPro and CosPro…

Hajime: Yes. I’m always indebted to them, though. Both of them sent out subordinates to Australia at around the same time.

And had them deliver the proposal for “High and Low”.

Midori: And what’s that…?

Hajime: Ah, I’m sorry. I’m not really good at speaking so I’ve messed up the order of things.

Midori: I don’t really mind since I’m the same… Actually, it would be even weirder if there are people who can speak in a logically consistent manner like they’re writing a thesis or something.

Hajime: Fufu. Let’s see. The lost Tomoya-kun and the others are…

Currently cast in “High and Low”, the TV show Anzu-san came up with.

Midori: That low-budget travel show you mentioned…?

Hajime: Yes. It seems they’re given a small budget and they’ll have to travel from the north of Australia to the south.

They’ll probably be renting a car the entire time. Although it’ll take some time and it might be difficult for them, it doesn’t seem like they’ll run into any trouble…

In order words, it’ll be an unexciting TV show where most of the footage will probably not be used in the end.

Midori: Why are Mashiro-kun and the others subjected to something like that? It basically sounds like they're being punished…

Hajime: I’m not sure… It’s Anzu-san’s project so she must have her reasons.

There aren’t any details in the proposal so I can’t really say.

Midori: I’m surprised a proposal like that even made it through… They should just join the school trip normally. Why are they cast in that weird TV show…?

Hajime: I don’t know why, either.

Umm. We got taken on a tour to see the sights and now we’re staying at a luxurious hotel. We’re having a rather extravagant experience in comparison, right?

We’re considered the “High” group whereas Tomoya-kun and the others are in the “Low” group because they’ll be having a difficult experience. Together, we’ll be comparing and showing off our experiences.

By doing that, we’ll be able to entertain all the viewers. Something like that was written in the proposal.

A lavish trip versus a trip for the poor, that’s “High and Low”.

Midori: I see… It’s similar to those weird slogans like, “To appease both genders!” or “So both kids and adults can have fun!”.

It’s a greedy proposal that wants to have everything…

Proposals like those usually just fall through but I wonder if it’ll be okay… They had a lot of special TV shows like that before. The ones that were interesting in the beginning but slowly got boring as time went on.

I think projects like these should just focus on one thing. Not that I know anything, though.

Hajime: Hmm~ Anzu-san’s in charge of it so I think it’ll be fine.

Midori: Well, she’s an excellent “producer” who has turned the impossible into the possible time after time, after all…

ES probably gave her the green light because they knew it would be fine.

But that means Mashiro-kun and the others will be going on a trip for the poor so they can’t meet up with us, right…?

Hajime: Who knows? It seems their goal is to make it to the Southern Australian town we’re currently in.

I think the faster they move, the faster they’ll be able to meet up with us, though.

Midori: Yeah but Australia’s huge… Is it gonna be okay? I bet the school trip’s gonna end before they even get here.

Hajime: There’s a big possibility of that happening… Oh no, I was really looking forward to having fun with everyone on the school trip.

I think there’s a deeper reason behind it all. I might feel a bit bitter towards Anzu-san.
