100 Days of Productivity [80/100]
🌿15/11/23🌿
Started a Creative Writing course today, started with the plot module. Today was also the first properly sunny day in weeks. I also had to record an interview for a job application which makes me incredibly nervous, btw I still look for jobs inside my major due to ✨money issues✨ and also because it's easier to get hired that way but still apply for jobs in the publishing industry and test my luck in there
🎧 song of the day: Midnight Joke - Takako Mamiya

city pop album covers that live rent-free in my head pt. 1 (because there's just so many)
in order -
Lady Bounce by Miki Matsubara (my queen 👑)
Ocean Side by Mamoko Kikuchi
Love Trip by Takako Mamiya
Mignonne by Taeko Onuki
Communication by Junko Yagami
there's something so alluring about the ranging artistic value of older album covers like they were just having so much fun with it back then and hot damn they were slaying
I'm always left to wonder when I see interesting album covers what the conversation before the shoot/process was and what the artist thinks of the cover, especially if it blows up and is super popular. I've seen so many show-stopping covers and I just wonder what thoughts were in their heads at the time

when you get this ask you have to answer with 5 of ur fav songs and then send this ask to 10 of ur favourite followers :) (no pressure <3)
Hi friend! Thank you for sending this to me!
I really have a ton of favorite songs but if I had to choose just ten that I really listen to a lot right now, they'd have to be:
Hello It's Me by Todd Rundgren
Don't Stop Me Now by Queen
Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush
Rocket Man by Elton John
Midnight Joke by Takako Mamiya
I would send this ask to 10 more followers but I don't know how to. Do you?

So according to YouTube music, I have listened to
24% pop music
14% Turkish Rock
9% j-pop
5% Rock and
4% Lebanese pop???
This only adds to 63% and I never listened to any Lebanese music what. The closest I could think of is Ofra Haza but she's not from Lebanon she's a first generation Israeli immigrant from Yemen.
Also why is Turkish Rock its own category, and not put with. I only listened to one Turkish rock artist and it's Şebnem Ferah. SHE'S LIKE TURKISH EVANESCENCE
Also apparently YouTube doesn't know what 37% of the music I listen to qualifies as that's great!
I would probably resort this as a rough estimation to what I've listened to.
~35% Stadium Rock (Journey, Phil Colins, Queen, Meatloaf)
~20% Handlebag House (Blackbox, Sophie Ellis Baxter, C+C Music Factory, Ofra Haza [specifically Galbi])
~15% Hard Rock (Evanescence, Şebnem Ferah, Jack Off Jill, System of a Down)
~15% City Pop (Meiko Nakahara, Mai Yamane, ANRI, Takako Mamiya)
~10% R&B (Osmosis Jones Soundtrack)
~5% 80's pop/misc
The majority of the songs I listen to are either from the '80s, 90s, or the 2000s.
