Redención | Taigress - Resumen|Prólogo (on Wattpad)
AU. Tai Lung/Tigresa.

A Volta ao Mundo em 66 Dias - Parte 1/Einmal um die Welt in 66 Tagen – Teil 1/ Around the World in 66 Days - Part 1

Actually, there's something I want to tell yall:
I'm working on a short story about TailungxTigress,(I started writing at the beginning of last month)but I didn't post here because I am writing in Chinese...Nowadays I have been working on the last chapter. And I was wondering if you guys want to have it?...I'm not sure, maybe I could translate it into English and post here or somewhere.
However, I am not confident that the translation can be accurate, perhaps it will be some kinda of differences from the meaning I originally wrote in Chinese, so I am hesitant...for a while.
Let me know if you have any suggestions or if you'd like to read it...
The following is a brief setting and summary of the story:

poker cards and soju shots | j.jh
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
featuring: taeyong, haechan, jungwoo, yuta
summary — you take a little vacation with 127 by the beach, cameras off. the chaos ensuing includes a lot of your screaming, some gambling, more drinking (and crying), and an unfortunate sunburn
warnings — some strong language, drinking, gambling.
part i. part iii.
JAEHYUN IS… A MANIPULATIVE GENUIS.
After he downed maybe a couple of bottles of soju, he left, claiming to be going to get some more. He brought Johnny, Haechan and Mark with him, but only Haechan and Johnny have come back, and it’s been almost an hour.
Doyoung has left too, probably because his social battery died and he needs to recharge. So now it’s left with five of you: Taeyong, whose cup is still three-quarters full but still lookes a bit sweaty and flushed; Yuta, whose arm is draped over Johnny as he leans languidly back; Haechan, whose face looks particularly squishy today; Jungwoo, whose lap you’re sitting on; Johnny and you.
“Right! Who’d like to play a game?”
Kun isn’t the only one who can do magic tricks, because somehow Haechan managed to pry the pack of cards from your hands without you noticing, and waves it in the air.
Four hands go up. Yuta doesn’t bother to raise his, and continues to sip his soju like he’s watching a show.
“Majority wins,” Haechan declares happily as he begins to shuffle the cards. With a dramatic flair, he gives them out, and announces the start of the game of taiti - one you’re extremely familiar with, having learnt it from Hendery.
The game is halfway through and Mark looks like he’s accepted defeat. Taeyong is down to three cards, and Yuta hides his smirk behind the singular card he has left. The air is uncomfortably warm, almost warmer than the beach was in the morning.
“I’m really good, I swear.” Haechan says defensively as all eyes turn towards him.
You nod sarcastically. “Sure.”
“We’re not doubting your abilities, Haechan.” As soon as the words leave his mouth, Taeyong realises they’re not true. “I mean, we’re not staring at you because of that. We’re staring at you because it’s your damn turn!”
Haechan selects a card and puts it down and raises his hands in surrender.
Forty-five minutes later, all your doubts are proven true. You’ve played three games and Haechan’s lost all of them. He shuffles resignedly and deals the cards, particularly aggressive when he deals Taeyong and Yuta the cards, since the two of them have taken turns winning the past three rounds.
“We’re out of soju,” Yuta announces. He gets up and leaves. Scared that he’ll pull a Johnny, you get up and follow him to the cupboards. The cupboards have been hidden well, true to maintaining a good idol image, and you can’t help but gasp at the rows of bottles.
Yuta selects one and reads aloud the label, but you’re not pretentious enough to know what that means. But you think that the older a wine is, the finer it is, so you nod appraisingly and pretend like you know what you’re saying as you compliment the wine.
Yuta laughs heartily, and hands you the bottle. You take it carelessly, spinning it and tossing its weight between your palms, as if you’re juggling it in the air. For a horrifying moment, it slips from your hand, clattering to the ground.
You swear Yuta’s hand grazed it when he lunged for the bottle, but he still wasn’t fast enough, and you stare helplessly at the shards of glass and all the spilt wine seeping into the carpet, the reddish hue of the carpet turning something close to bloodred.
You fall to your knees, about to pick the glass shards up, when suddenly an iron grip closes around your wrist. Your other hand goes up to free your wrist, but Yuta’s grip on you tightens, and it feels like he’s completely cut off the blood circulation to your hand.
“Get up, princess,” he says through gritted teeth. “I won’t have you cutting yourself. You’re lucky enough if your knees aren’t already grazed from kneeling on broken glass.”
He pulls you up to your feet and dusts off your knees with the bottom of his shirt. “Go and get a box of tissue and a broom,” he instructs.
Still reeling from the mess you’ve made, you nod dumbly and follow.
When you hand him the box of tissue, he all but snatches a few pieces, and gingerly uses the folded tissue to pick up the broken glass. He drops it into the dustpan, and the grating sound as the sharp edge of the glass rubs against the dustpan causes you to wince.
Yuta’s silent, attentively plucking glass shards from the carpet, and dabbing at it as the wine soaks the tissue as well. You go to lend him a hand, but he stops you, barring you with his arm.
“There’s still small pieces of glass on the floor,” he says. “I learned that cleaning up glass has to be thorough, the hard way.”
You raise your hands in surrender and leave him to it, watching as he dries the carpet as best as he can and then sweeps it with a broom several times over to make sure no one gets hurt. You smile, just a little, because you never knew there was such a tender side to the often playful Yuta.
When he’s done, the two of you bring two bottles (one of them is new) back to the room, where the rest of them are waiting impatiently for you to continue the game.
Jungwoo sidles closer to you and you notice that his cup smells like coke, and you wonder where he got that from. You realise that Taeyong’s actually finished his glass, but now that you know that Jungwoo’s really just drinking coke, you wonder if Taeyong’s pretending as well.
You’ve now won two out of the six rounds you’ve played, and you’re pretty proud of it, although Jungwoo keeps making threats to dethrone you. He’s probably not going to be able to do it, though, because he doesn’t know how to play his cards well.
“Dealer, my hand is shit. Do you not know how to shuffle?” Yuta abruptly revealing that his hand is bad is such a Yuta thing to do, to be very honest. You know damn well he’s lying, because he’s a good player and good players don’t tell you anything, but Haechan doesn’t have that kind of thought process when he’s engrossed in the game.
Haechan looks at him exasperatedly and throws his hands up, slamming his cards on the table. “You’re not supposed to say! Now we’ve got to reshuffle.”
Yuta smirks, and Jungwoo, who’s got a clearer head, waves at Haechan until he gathers his cards up again huffily. “He’s lying, you idiot. He’s probably got a really good hand, too. Just continue.”
Haechan huffs and puffs like the wolf in the “Three Little Pigs”, and sits down unhappily. You lean over and ruffle his hair comfortingly. “Ah, our maknae,” you say fondly.
Haechan might pretend he doesn’t like that, but the way he subconsciously nuzzles into your touch, closes his eyes and sighs makes you think that he enjoys it almost a little too much.
The rest of the night is a testimony to the competitiveness of the NCT 127 members. It’s crazy how games haven’t ended their friendship yet, because the shouting is almost unbearable for you. They're loud, angry, and irritable, and you're ready to comfort anyone who becomes a sore loser, but none of them back down.
You thought Jungwoo would cave at one point in time when Johnny started joking, “You're too fucking good for this, man! What the hell? It’s almost like you're cheating.”
If that were you, you would not have taken that insult easily. You would definitely have shouted back with some not-very-respectful words and completely disregarded the age gap between you and Johnny, but Jungwoo was better than that.
Instead of trying to argue (even though he looked like he was about to), he pointed back at Johnny—for a moment you were prepared to clamp your hand over his mouth before he said something he would regret—but all he did was wince, give Johnny a pointed look, and dropped his hand to his side.
He placed his hand around you and kept rubbing your arm (even though you literally just won the game? You weren’t quite sure why), but after a while you realised that that was how he was holding in his rage, and you noticed the angry tears in his eyes.
Taeyong’s voice broke you out from your stupor snd brought your attention back to the game. “Yah, Y/n, it’s your turn. Hurry up, yeah?”
Yuta’s leaning back, and he has a relaxed stance, but the way he looks at you and raises his eyebrows tells you he’s getting impatient. You fumble through your cards and pick one at random, before Yuta leans in near and beckons you closer.
More out of habit than your better judgement, you lean forward and he whispers something into your ear.
You only fully process it when you're sitting upright again that he just called you a punk. Wow.
You’re close to flipping him off, but Taeyong grabs your hand before you can. You're a bit shocked when he lets go immediately, though.
“Do you not want to hold my hand?” You ask, mock-hurt.
“It’s my turn!” He calls back, not even looking at you. Oh.
Now you're the bad guy, so you apologise to him, but he waves it off. “It’s fine.”
“It is your turn now though, y/n,” Johnny interjects. “Would appreciate it if you paid more attention, so everyone feels less incapable when you win without trying.” Oh.
That wakes you up a little and you laugh, reaching for a glass of alcohol as soon as you’ve set your cards down.
You win that set, of course, with Taeyong finishing right afterwards. When Jungwoo finishes his cards right after Taeyong, he throws his hands up in defeat.
“Face it, Jungwoo-ya. You can’t beat me.” You raise your glass at him as a challenge, raising your eyebrow, and he lifts his in a toast.
“I know,” he shrugs. “It just feels good to try.” He meets Haechan’s eye and a slow grin spreads over his face. Alarm bells are ringing inside your head. If any NCT boy smiles like that, you know they’re up to no good.
Haechan smirks, like he knows you’ve caught on. Everyone’s on the same wavelength, the air taut with suspense as you wait for the bombshell that’s about to drop.
Taeyong seems to get it first. His mouth opens to form a little ‘o’, but no sound comes out. He shakes his head, almost fatherly, but then shrugs, as if to say, “Go ahead; I can’t stop you.”
Johnny gets it next. And then it’s just you and Yuta staring at each other until he gets it and abruptly stands up, slamming his hands on the table. “Haechan-”
Haechan raises his hands defensively. “Jungwoo thought of it first.”
As if in answer, Jungwoo unbottons the top two buttons of his shirt and glances around. “Is anyone feeling a little hot in here? I think we should spice up this game and add a stripping-”
The door slams open just as you drop the cards you’ve been sifting through. Mark stands in the doorway, and he’s probably been eavesdropping, because he seems to know exactly what he’s barged in onto.
“Lee Donghyuck, we’re going to have a talk after this.” Haechan nods tamely and has the grace to blush, at least. Mark catches your eye, and asks, “Can I steal Y/n for a sec? Jaehyun kind of needs help.”
