last song I listened to: I MISS YOU megamix by adamusic, it's a fun mashup of pop songs

currently watching: I'm finally watching Gundam Witch From Mercury! I did watch the prologue and first episode when it started airing, and enjoyed them, but I fell behind since I didn't really have time to watch TV regularly at the time. Now that its dubbed, its a bit easier for me to watch and regularly pay attention to. The animation and character designs are very pretty, and I like what's been set up for story threads so far (I'm only five episodes in at the time of writing)

currently reading: I'm rereading The Summer List by Amy Mason Doan, which I picked up on a whim a few years ago. Plot wise, it's about two women in their 30s reuniting after a lot of stuff happened at the end of high school that caused them to drift apart despite being best friends. Thematically its about characters feeling like the odd one out, bonds of friendship, and the complicated relationships between mothers and daughters. The prose is strong and efficient, its characters feel like normal people who aren't painted in broad strokes, the drama is grounded in how sometimes sad things just happen and we don't know how to deal with it the best way. It's a good contemporary story, especially for something I picked up in a pharmacy's bargain bin.

current obsession: Case Study of Vanitas is still bouncing around in my head at all times, even if outwardly it doesn't seem like that at all. And now that we live in a time where companies will just remove their own content from streaming services and digital storefronts, I'm desperate to get physical copies or backups of every show and movie I've ever liked. It's expensive, but at least my copies will always be mine and won't arbitrarily disappear.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 12, but 5 of those are compilations, so 😅

2. What's your total AO3 word count? 347,709 🫠

3. What fandoms do you write for? All Zelda all the time 😎 (oops I forgot I wrote a Metroid thing once)

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? An Inconvenience Zelink, Promptly Antumbra Branded Calamitous

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I do! First of all because I really appreciate it when people leave me comments and I feel like the least I can do is say thank you. But also because part of the fun of posting online is interacting with others about the characters and stories. 🥰

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Well I've been told I wrecked people's lives with "Don't Say Goodbye" so I guess that one 😁

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Everything in Zelink, Promptly has a fluffy ending so most people would say that one. But I think the relief in the way Calamitous ends is my favorite flavor of happy.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Very rarely. I do live in perpetual fear of it though 😎👉👉

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? No.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? Not crossovers, as in the characters from different media interact. But I am working on (YES I AM DAYDREAMING COUNTS AS WORKING) an Avatar: the Last Airbender BotW AU

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I don't believe so. That would be so lame, man.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Oh snap, I was about to say NO all definitively but I guess Adoring Fans actually exists! 😂

14. What's your all-time favorite ship? Zelink!

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? All of them? 🤣 Everything feels insurmountable until just the right amount of inspiration hits.

16. What are your writing strengths? Woof, I don't know. I like my dialogue. And I dabble in a lot of world building. But I don't really have an area where I feel like I ✨shine✨

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I'm really wordy. And my plots have the structural integrity of a Jenga tower after 27 turns. And it takes me four years to finish anything. I could go on. 😅

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? Like a made up language? I did this in An Inconvenience because overcoming the language barrier is a major plot point. Constructing the grammar/syntax/vocabulary was very time consuming though and I probably wouldn't do it again unless the story demanded it.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Zelda 🥰

20. Favorite fic you've ever written? Probably Branded, not because it's super great or anything but because I stayed true to the story I wanted to tell in spite of the self-doubt monster. 😎✨

Daylight �� Zelink, promptly All he could think was, Oh no.  

Control — Zelink, promptly Being Captain of the Queen's Guard was both a responsibility and a privilege—one usually bestowed upon a seasoned knight with the respect of his men and an impressive record to recommend him.  

Selfless The guard at the Hyrule Castle gates reminded him of someone—an unimpressive soldier who had given him a face once.  

Fallen — Omnes Vulnerant His name was Rion.  

Betrayal — Omnes Vulnerant The first time Link met her, she’d been crying in the woods.  

Trust Fall — Omnes Vulnerant Zelda jolted upright in the dark, eyes wide and heart racing and a chill sweeping down her back where his heat had been.  

Insults — Omnes Vulnerant They dragged him down the glistening hallway by his hair, ropes fastened tight around his arms, his wrists, his neck, in case he got any ideas.  

Gagged — Omnes Vulnerant Link came to with fabric in his mouth.  

Bound — Omnes Vulnerant She said she wouldn’t leave without the weapon she came for, so I trailed her until she finally found it sunk in that cursed pedestal.  

An Inconvenience There’s half a skull with protruding horns on his head, and bones and teeth and leathers and swathes of fur and warpaint over the rest of him, but it isn’t his savage-looking armor that’s causing the thrill hammering in her ribcage.
