if you've thought about her in a modern au/context: what would her job be? would she go to college? would she have tattoos/piercings? if she had an aesthetic what would it be? would she drink coffee?

Setsuna’s favorite foods — girl has a MASSIVE sweet tooth. Like huge. While she’s described as having a ✨hint✨ of abs, she doesn’t have any definition beyond her oblique line. Why?? Because she likes to eat and she likes sugar (and Mitsuri does NOT help this).

Traditional favorites include somen (chilled dip noodles), imagawayaki, and yatsuhashi. When she was Sanemi’s tsuguko, he did bring her onto ohagi, though she finds it a little messy. After Sanemi is fired as her teacher, she still buys ohagi on the DL and acts like she has no idea why smh.

Setsuna’s father was a well-known merchant who dealt heavily in Western goods, which was incredibly advantageous during the Taisho era. As a result, Setsuna also had access to western style sweets as a child and developed a taste for them! Her favorite are western style cakes and especially a lemon taffy her dad used to sneak her behind her mother’s back.

She and Mitsuri bond heavily over their love of food and often pig out together. Mitsuri treats Setsuna more as a live-in best friend than a tsuguko, and sometimes gets in trouble as a result 😭 even after Setsuna becomes a hashira, they frequently stay at one another’s estate’s!

Favorite weather — warmer, but not summer. She loves spring. Hates the snow/winter, but that has more to do with the events of the prologue for Wind and Moon than anything.

Animals — LOVES dogs, hates cats. This is where she and Mitsuri butt heads lmao. Mitsuri once caught her hissing back at a cat.

And some bonus factoids no one asked for:

She despises the fact she’s a demon slayer. She wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and take over the family business. She is deeply unhappy to be in the role she’s in, and wishes she could leave/quit.

As her masters, both Sanemi and Mitsuri spoil her, in their own way. Sanemi because he lets her have a little free time every now and then and Mitsuri just pampers her.

The one year time skip in which she serves as Mitsuri’s tsuguko and ascends to hashira is the most healing for her. When Sanemi finally sees her again (after she becomes a Hashira) she is noticeably more at ease and smiles. He doesn’t know why that makes him feel embarrassed (yes he does lmao)

Hated her sword and honestly was overjoyed when it got blown to smithereens in the event that led to her being fired as Sanemi’s tsuguko. Doesn’t even care that it shattered her sword arm in the process, she was just so happy to be rid of it. Loves her naginata.

Speaking of Setsuna’s naginata — some say, if you look close enough at the hilt, you’ll see not just a small moon charm (she’s a lunar breath user so obviously) but also a charm that looks oddly similar to the Wind Hashira’s sword hilt….wonder what that’s about….

I just can't stop making Sun and Moon show aus, and in this is one takes place in a city where everyone is made of candy.

Freddy: Gummybear.

Monty: Gummygator.

Roxanne: Cotton candy.

Chica: White chocolate.

Eclipse: Chili mango candy.

Sun: Sun cookie.

Moon: Moon pie.

Ruin: Salt water taffy.

Puppet: Licorice.

Lunar: Blue raspberry candy.

Earth: Cupcake.

Jack: Pumpkin pie.

Baby: Ice cream.

Bonnie: Milk chocolate.

(Hunter, Scythe, and Lilac are the only main characters who aren't made of candy. Lilac is a red panda with a major sweet tooth, and many citizens fear being eaten by her. Hunter and Scythe are the main bodyguards of Sugar City who are constantly having to deal with Lilac. The twins are carnivorous and can be found hunting and fishing in the forest when they're not on guarding duty).

This will be another slice of life universe and won't have much angst or lore (I'll probably save that for the Beastars au).

Who are the characters?

Our main character is Acid, a living vat of bubbling, green acid! And Taffy is his boyfriend. Acid is a timid boy, who would rather hide out with his friends than go places. While Taffy is an evil genius, and quite the elegant scientist.

Just a bunch of #samswarau Images! Haven't done this AU in a while!

1) Aza was helping the rebels on a dangerous mission but ended up bumping into Lord Eclipse. After fighting for a while, she needed to retreat to try and escape with the others but still needs to get Eclipse of her tail. And he won't let her escape that easily.

2) Aza is spending some time alone... with her Father and Stepmother who fell to Lord Eclipse when they tried to help Aza and her friends escape his mind control... She misses them deeply

3) Aza and Taffi Maybe on opposite sides but their time lost in the cave system under the kingdom caused them to become closer, especially when they started saving each other. Feat @taffitoast

4) Aza when she first arrives at the Lunar ball, she bumps into Ivy, Eclipse's enforcer. Aza is obviously annoyed by her and is quick to affirm her place as a rebel against Eclipse's rule when Ivy offers her a drink and reminds Ivy that the ball is a truce, not a solution. Funny having the most loyal to Eclipse and the most loyal to the rebels near each other (btw, i haven't drawn Ivy at all i think so its my first go. I also couldn't find the Lunar ball reference for her so i used the comic to help me :) )

5) Future War Stuff! Aza and Vee continue to be good friends in the future. After Vee wakes up from their coma, Aza does the best she can to make them feel better. And even shares some secret and surprising news with them (Not going to reveal just yet XD)

Chapter 120

“By the way, I gave your boyfriend a gift that just keeps giving. You can thank me later.” And with a wink, he walks out.

Chapter 120 summary: Remy comes in. And right when I’m beginning to wonder if this is going to be three more pages of wasted time, he produces something for Grace. The runes that Finn had given her right before she’d graduated. The ones that not even Grace remembered until she saw Rowena and Macy looking through their own set of runes. 

Remy then has a vision, but refuses to tell them what it was about. He says that the future is constantly shifting. Simply because he saw something doesn’t mean that it’s going to come to pass. 

Chapter 121

I glance over at Hudson, standing on the sidewalk, and grin. Remy’s “gift that just keeps giving” turned out to be a ring that allows Hudson to feed from his mate and yet still walk in the sunlight, and I have to admit, knowing we are only racing against a lunar eclipse’s clock and not the sun’s feels great.

Much like Flint’s prosthetic leg, this is oddly convenient to the point where I wonder why the author even bothered writing the negative thing in. 

“It’ll only be a few minutes,” she tells them, and I think I see a flash of empathy in her eyes. But it disappears as quickly as it comes, and so does she, her boots clicking on the cement as she races down an impossibly long staircase.

Chapter 121 summary: We mercifully skip any more useless time-wasting in the witch court, and our heroes go back to the taffy shop in Florida. Two pages are spent with them hemming and hawing about going in before they actually open the door.

Inside, Tess seems surprised that they actually came back. She tells them that they have to sign waivers, but when Grace steps forward, Tess is like “I’m kidding! You’re probably going to die. Fuck paperwork.” She leads them into the actual arena, but tells them that it’ll take a few minutes to get the trial set up for them. 

Chapter 122

“All of us are here because we feel like we have to be. But none of us are here because we feel like we’re forced to be. We’re here because it’s the right thing to do. We’re here for you. But most of all, we’re here because none of us want the people we love to live in this world if Cyrus is a fucking god. So let’s go find that Tess chick and tell her to get this show on the road. We’ve got a fight to win.”

Chapter 122 summary: As they wait, Grace tells them that this is her fight. That she’s the one who chose to give Cyrus the god stone. It’s her army that she needs to save. The others are like “Stop. We’re all choosing to be here, okay?”

Chapter 123

I squeeze his hand one last time, then let go. The buzzer sounds. And I run like hell.

Chapter 123 summary: Tess comes back, and leads them into the arena, which is full of randos. There’s also betting, although who is going to bet on the team winning when literally nobody else has ever won? 

Tess tells them that there is one rule, which is to not die. She tells them that when the buzzer sounds, they have 30 seconds to run about 100 yards to a door. Anybody who doesn’t get through that door will be left out of the trial (although they’d probably be free to leave, and would survive). Anybody who does make it through will be locked in until they either die or get the tears.
