summary: fluff, drabble, playing animal crossing with taeyong after a hard week <3 wc: 400 a/n: Happy Taeyong Day!! 💚 (every time I play animal crossing I think of him so I had to write a little drabble about playing with him!!)

A cool breeze blows in through the open living room window as you both devote the afternoon to playing animal crossing. Taeyong all but begged you to get the game for a month before you finally gave in, and you absolutely adore it. Now every time you see your boyfriend you always bring your switch with you just in case.

You both lay on the couch, your legs intertwined, as you visit Taeyong's island. "See, I turned the extra room in my house into a living room." He says, peeking up from his switch to see your reaction to his house arrangement and smiling to himself when he sees you like it. "Oh, you have to see what I did with my extra room too, Tank gave me a punching bag!" You say, making a mental note to show it to him later.

You two spend a while exploring his island. It's more developed than yours since he's been playing for longer so you make sure to visit everything. Once you've finally seen everything on his island, you decide to show him yours. As the game slowly loads, you can feel Taeyong's eyes on you. "I'm so proud of you, y/n." He says, setting his switch down on his lap and looking over at you with his big boba eyes.

"You're proud of me?" You melt because you know he's not referring to the game you're playing. You've had a hard week and, although you try not to vent to him too much because he already has enough on his plate, it all came out earlier. You just had to tell somebody and Taeyong is such an amazing listener.

"Very." He says, scooting closer to you and kissing you on your temple. You can tell that he wants to say more. He wants to list all of the reasons why he loves you and how he thinks you're so so brave, but he's never been the best with that sort of affection so when you snuggle closer to him, he knows that he doesn't have to say a single thing more.

"I'm proud of you too." You say looking up at him. He gets visibly shy and gives you his nervous laugh and you also know that you don't have to say anything more. So, you both turn your attention back to playing the game, but with your hearts so much fuller now.
