An Abstragedy Playlist I Made 🔺🏳️‍⚧️🎀🎭

Just a 26 song playlist made solely for Gangle and Zooble :). A bit of angst, romance, wlnb fluff, and reflection all in one! This is what happens when you hyperfixate on a sad ribbon lady and a triangle with gender dysphoria and think it would be a good idea to pair them up together.

When making this playlist, I wanted to focus on what made this ship so important to me. I wanted to reflect on these two polar opposites, their struggles, and what they have in common. When it comes to Abstragedy, I picture two hopeless romantics who both crave love. However, both of them believe they aren't good enough for each other. Gangle is someone who feels like she isn't worthy enough emotionally, while Zooble feels like they aren't enough physically. This is something that eventually grows their bond with one another.

When a virus manages to sneak into Caine's "Amazing Digital Expansion” his powers end up getting stolen! With everyone split up and lost, it’s up to Caine and Pomni to journey around the digital world to get back his powers, stop the virus and save their world!

It sucks that ribbun has so much hate 😭 It's like the only ship i like in Digital Circus, despite usually being a multishipper in fandoms i'm in.

That aside, dont u think the song "Your Stupid Face" by Kaden MacKay is perfect for Jax and Gangle?

The whole song is so fitting for their ship dynamic (in my opinion)- with Jax denying his feelings, the separation arc in the middle of the song, and the happy ending!! Everytime I listen to it, Ribbun comes to mind and I love it soo much!!

I like all the TADC ships but I think it's apparent I do have a favorite. It is very interesting to me that it gets so much hate out of any Jax pairing. Its not as if she's the only person Jax antagonizes nor the only person Jax is shipped with AND antagonizes. Randos who don't really ship, or who dislike Jax I can understand but, I am genuinely curious as to what's the reasoning for even funbuns or bundolls who give the pairing similar dynamics, give it hate too. (Not about shippers who prefer these ones, but shippers who prefer those ones but also actively throw hate.)

This isn't me giving hate at people who ship those, it's just me being genuinely curious as to why someone who's deemed ribbuns as unacceptable is comfortable with another Jax ship with a similar dynamic. Honestly even if you're someone who doesn't hate on it but ships funnybunny or bunnydoll (maybe even zoobejax) but is uncomfortable with ribbun I'd love to hear the thoughts as to why! Any reason is okay to dislike a ship, I won't judge! I have a couple of theories as to why but would love to get more perspectives on this.

What is this AU?

Based on the Purge franchise, this AU takes place in the real world and has every character presenting as human. The TADC cast make up The Circus - an almost vigilante group that uses that one night every year to right some wrongs. The story follows Pomni as she follows the threads that connect this group together, uncovering connections and betrayals.

Are there any ships in this AU?

Like my other AUs, there will be ships. Showtime is confirmed, but any others are still being decided.

What inspired this AU?

A Halloween mask from Spirit Halloween. I'm not kidding. You can thank Ragatha for being the starting point for this.
