What's TAM event? What is the event all about?
oh! it's a Tourette's Awareness Month ask even. not much else to it. just an event where i ask for asks about Tourette's. and asks for my sanses with Tourette's. basically turn my blog into a Tourette's and Tourette's sanses ask blog for a bit during TAM. which started yesterday and i forgot to make a post about it. ovo; the event won't start for about another week at least! i want to get the refs for the rest of the Tourette's sanses done before then, and i have to do stuff irl to get ready to move kinda soon. so i need more time. and the event won't be as active as last year. but i will try my best to make it happen regardless.

Bait & Switch, pt. 4
<< Part 1 // Part 2 // Part 3 // Part 4 // Part 5 >>
Based on "I wasn't in that tunnel."
Call of Duty, soapghost // CW: angst, hurt AND COMFORT, MWIII spoilers
---
The man with Johnny's face has spent the past six hours fighting for his life in a locked down medical ward at the temporary base of operations for Ghost's solo op.
The complications began during the helo ride when the medics attempted to treat his injuries. The gas hissing through the helmet apparently contains a powerful cocktail of drugs, and the withdrawal kicked in the instant they cut off his vest and removed the helmet. He was almost dead before before they found the compressed vial of liquid in the vest, figured out what was happening, and reintroduced just enough of the drugs via IV to keep him stable. The doctors are currently trying to find something to counter the severe withdrawal symptoms.
Ghost knows all of this because he refuses to leave the man's room.
He needs sleep, but he can't bare to close his eyes. His world has sped right past fantastical into the outright surreal. He's terrified of getting too attached and having to deal with the devastating loss all over again.
And yet there's no doubt the man in the other bed looks just like Johnny. The curve of his nose, the jut of his scarred chin... Ghost can't seem to rip his gaze away. He would think he's crazy if not for Laswell, who was waiting for them at the air field and immediately took charge. She's the reason they dragged a hospital bed into the room for Ghost instead of arresting and detaining him when he refused to leave. She's the reason the man with Johnny's face isn't hand-cuffed to the bed.
She pats Ghost's arm and sighs, though her gaze remains on the man in the bed. "You know... the chance that it's actually him—"
"Is almost nil," Ghost rasps. "I know. How much longer for the DNA test results?"
"Another few hours. But we don't know if that proves anything."
"What do you mean?"
Laswell shrugs. "We can compare his DNA with what we have on file for John MacTavish, but we cremated any other comparable evidence."
Ghost stills. "You mean from the... the other Johnny?"
"We'd need a blood sample. And even then... we have no idea what Makarov's done. If he's playing with genetic manipulation, even a DNA test might not be conclusive."
Ghost stares at the man who has tried to kill him hundreds of times. And who might also be the love of his life.
He wants to believe so badly, he's willing to do anything. He finally turns to meet Laswell's gaze.
"This is some sci-fi bollocks, but... Johnny's journal was in his tac vest when he was shot. It's covered in his dried blood. Or... the blood of whoever that was in the tunnel with us."
She covers her surprise well, but he catches the flicker of shock all the same. "If you can part with it, I'll see what the techs can do. It might be too late to get anything usable, though."
Ghost turns away to memorize what he can see of the new scars on the man's arms and what's visible of his face around the oxygen mask. Whatever can be said for him — enemy or not — he's not had an easy time under Makarov's thumb.
The heartbeat line flickers in time with the steady beep. Ghosts hands are shaking. He crosses his arms to hide the evidence.
"I"ll call Price."
---
In the end, the lab techs, supported by Laswell, come back with both the initial DNA results and a drug to help with the withdrawal around the same time. Ghost is on his own drip now, the nurses tsking his dehydration and lack of sleep, and he watches through drooping lids as the nurses slowly introduce the new medication to the man with Johnny's face. A subtle uptick in the man's heart rate is the only result, and based on what Ghost saw when they sedated the man in the helo, he doesn't think it means what the nurses think it means.
As they watch, Laswell's phone buzzes. She reads the message, shakes her head, and blows out a long breath before looking Ghost dead in the eye.
"The DNA for this man is a perfect match with our records for John MacTavish."
Ghost's heart rate kicks up several notches to match with the elevated beeping across the room. He can only stare at her before turning his gaze to—
"Johnny?" he whispers.
Laswell doesn't say anything, but her hand comes to rest on his shoulder. It feels like the only thing keeping him tethered to the ground. Nothing seems real anymore.
There's still a chance it's not him. Still a chance it's a trick, but...
"This is so fucking twisted," Ghost growls.
"I know," she murmurs. "But we'll get him."
Makarov.
Ghost's mind reels as the news truly settles. All this time, all these years, has his Johnny been right there in front of him? Trying to kill him and the others because of Makarov's sick game? Was Makarov laughing every time he sent Johnny to fight them?
It feels too cruel to be real. And yet when has his life ever been anything but cruel? Johnny was the one bright spot until that, too, was taken away.
But maybe... maybe this is his chance.
The nurses file out of the room, satisfied with the man's... with Johnny's progress. Ghost rolls himself out of his bed, biting back a curse at the strain to his stitches.
"Ghost!" Laswell knows better than to try to hold him back, but she does step in his way. "We don't know—"
"I need this," is Ghost's only answer.
His cracking voice conveys far more than the words themselves. He needs this moment. Needs to say what he never got to say to his Johnny, whether that turns out to be the man who died in a tunnel under the English Channel or the man lying in a hospital bed beside him.
Laswell stares him down, but he returns her gaze with equal determination. Finally, her shoulders slump.
"Just... try to keep in mind we don't know if this is real."
He gives her a curt nod. She sighs... and then helps him shuffle across the room, IV drip in tow, and gingerly settle on the edge of Johnny's bed. Much like Ghost, they've stripped Johnny down to nothing but a hospital gown, exposing a myriad of scars covering his arms and hands.
He's beautiful.
And alive.
For the first time since he thought Johnny died, Ghost's eyes burn with something other than impotent rage.
"I'm sorry, Johnny."
As if waiting to hear Ghost's voice, blue eyes flick wide open. A hiss from the other side of the room tells him Laswell has seen it, too, but the man he wants to believe is Johnny doesn't move to attack or even speak. He just stares. Ghost blows out a breath and pulls off his mask.
"I'm so sorry," he says again. "I shoulda done a better job protecting you. I... I failed you."
Johnny blinks and then narrows his eyes. "I'm the one who failed. I let Makarov take me. Let him turn me into a monster."
His voice rasps through the room, guttural and angry. But Ghost understands. If this is truly his Johnny, the anger could only be directed at himself.
"Don't be stupid. It's not your fault. This is all Makarov."
"Ghost," Laswell warns.
"It's true, isn't it?" he asks over his shoulder. "Even if this man isn't really Johnny, he wouldn't be here without Makarov pulling the strings."
Johnny's gaze doesn't waver, but there's a horrific kind of self-loathing swimming in his eyes. Ghost reaches out, hesitating for just a moment before brushing his shaking fingers over the back of Johnny's hand.
"I..." Ghost swallows around the lump in his throat. The words that finally escape are no more than a whisper. "I want to believe it's you. Promise me... promise me you're really you."
The twist of agony in Johnny's expression cuts through Ghost like a knife. "I don't know, Ghost. I think I am, but... There's so much I don't remember. The man in the tunnels... he thought he was me by the end, too, I think."
Ghost tries to pull himself back together. Tries to keep himself aloof.
But it's no use. Now that the idea has taken root, he can't dig far or fast enough to uproot it.
"S'alright," he says in a soft voice. "Laswell's on it. We'll get it sorted."
Johnny stares at him and then slowly looks over at where Laswell is standing off to the side. She glances at Ghost, her face a study in stoicism. She shakes her head, and finally her expression melts into a wry smile.
"We're glad to have you back, Soap."
Soap blinks. The agony in his expression transforms into surprise before slowly morphing into the heartbreaking dawning of hope.
The moment stretches.
And then Johnny surges upward and shoves himself into Ghost's chest. Ghost thinks he should probably fear the sudden movement, but other than a faint uptick in his heart rate, his body barely reacts. Hearing Laswell's admission about the DNA flipped some kind of switch in his brain, and whether he likes it or not, this man is now Johnny in his eyes.
If that belief turns out to be misplaced, if this man is a... a clone or a trick meant to destroy him, so be it.
"Please," Johnny whispers. "Please, Ghost."
Ghost knows what it's like to come back from torture. He could barely stand anyone touching him after it was all said and done. He was like that for years.
But this is the man who always sought out touch in some way or another. Who probably hasn't experienced physical kindness in literal years. Ghost gives in to his weakest impulses, gently wraps his arms around the broad shoulders he remembers so well, and lets himself sink into the moment. Johnny's arms are trapped between them, his head buried in Ghost's chest and body shaking with increasingly violent tremors, though Ghost feels no tears seeping through his thin hospital gown.
Probably too much in shock to cry.
So Ghost just holds him, his embrace strong but gentle. He holds him through the first round of nurses, who check Johnny's vitals and exclaim over how well he's doing for a man who almost died a few hours ago. He holds him when those same nurses chastise Ghost for getting out of his own bed. He holds him until his eyes droop and his head bobs, exhaustion and the promise of sleep too potent to deny.
He even holds him through the arduous process of lying down in Johnny's bed, careful not rip stitches or get limbs or bodies in the way of either of their various tubes and wires.
If it were up to Ghost he'd never let go of Johnny again.
But Makarov is still out there, and if anything, the revelation of what that monster did to his Johnny makes him all the more eager to put a bullet in the man's brain.
For now, though, he'll stay by Johnny's side... in spite of Laswell's concerned glances.

Rewatched CATWS on my unexpected day off. I guess I've watched it enough that I am noticing things more in the background XD
I'm noticing more details about CEvans' acting this time around. Steve seems to have this sense of...brittleness, and maybe a little anger, during the first half of the film. The smiles seem just a little forced and his interactions a little distant, until he figures out Hydra was there the whole time and suddenly he's got direction.
The circumstances around Fury's "death" caught my eye. After Fury was shot, Sharon busts in the door and introduces herself as Agent 13 sent to "protect" Steve on Fury's orders. This is...an interesting assertion, given that Steve is shown to be incredibly capable, not just physically but also intellectually, to protect himself, and Sharon isn't shown to give Steve the emotional safety that he was craving in the beginning of the movie, nor was she ever demonstrated to be physically competent enough to protect Steve (unlike, say, Nat). It would seem - and that does seem to be Steve's belief too based on his response - that she was sent to watch him, not to protect him. I still think there’s enough in canon to make Sharon either good or bad right from the start.
Anyway, then this exchange happens:
Sharon (on radio): Foxtrot is down, I need EMTs. Person on other end: Do we have a 20 on the shooter? Steve: Tell him I'm in pursuit.
How did the other person know there was a shooter? Was it someone who was listening in to the bugged apartment, or did Sharon have time to tell them before going into Steve's apartment, or did they know because they were part of the team that sent the sniper?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like I've mentioned this before (I can't remember half the things I write so anyway, here it is again) but I feel like Steve's response here suggests that he's already starting to clue in on who the Soldier might be. When he's chasing the shadow across the roof, his expression was furious, urgent and determined -- but that all changed when the Soldier caught the shield (picture 1) and made meaningful eye contact tossed it back (picture 2). Steve just looks...surprised and uncertain and, shall we say, a little vulnerable?
Also I didn’t notice this before, but the Strike team were there to watch Fury’s operation as well, so no wonder Fury had to go the whole way including fooling Nat and Steve.
Right before the infamous elevator fight starts, Rumlow gets in the elevator and they have this exchange:
Rumlow: Evidence team found some fibres on the roof they want us to see, you want me to get the tac team ready? Steve: No, let's wait and see what it is first.
Obviously during this time Steve is also very distracted by what Fury has told him and what Pierce has tried to entice him with, so it could just be Steve trying to shelve that thought for later -- but he was also very interested in what Nat could tell him about the Winter Soldier (she used that information to stop him being angry at her), so I wonder if it's a little bit of a cover tactic as well, i.e. he didn't trust the Strike team and didn't want them to get close to this mystery assassin's identity.
I remember there was a meta about how well CATWS established competency, and I just love watching that all over again. Not just for Steve and Nat obviously, but even for the Strike team — they are shown to be incredibly capable and in sync during the Lumerian Star sequence, which is why the stakes of the movie felt so real.
Steve donning the last uniform Bucky saw before he fell off the train is an underrated romantic trope 😂

Names in The Hunger Games series obviously hold a lot of symbolic meaning. Whether it be a particularly on the nose name for characters like Peeta or the complete absence of one for characters like Mrs Everdeen, Suzanne Collins puts a lot of thought and care into names. One that I haven’t seen people talk about so far is Livia Cardew.
Livia Cardew is a rude, cruel classmate that Snow despises. When we are introduced to her character, Snow thinks that she, "had always been prone to gloating," (tbosas). She is assigned Facet, a strong boy from District 1 with a good chance of winning the games, and Snow hates that she acts, "As if the plum assignment was solely a reflection on her, and not on her mother running the largest bank in the Capitol," (tbosas).
The character Livia Cardew is named after Livia Drusilla, wife of the first Roman Emperor Augustus and mother of the Emperor Tiberius. Livia Drusilla came from a powerful Patrician family in Rome, with her father inheriting a substantial fortune around the time of her birth. She was married prior to her marriage with Augustus, giving birth to two sons before her divorce and subsequent remarriage to Augustus. Although he believed these sons to be proof of her high fertility, Livia was only able to give Augustus one stillborn child during their marriage. Livia Cardew reflects the early life of her namesake Livia Drusilla, in that she comes from an influential banking family that helps her get ahead in society. The advantage she has being assigned the District 1 boy only widens the gap, making her a frontrunner to win the scholarship. However, just as Livia Drusilla loses her child with Augustus, Livia Cardew's tribute dies before the games even begin, removing her from the competition entirely. Moreover, Livia attempts to "steal" Clemensia's tribute while she is ill, "demanding new tributes be brought from the districts, or at least that she be given Reaper, the boy assigned to Clemensia, who everyone thought had been hospitalized with the flu," (tbosas). Similarly, Livia Drusilla campaigned with her husband to make her son Tiberius his heir after she failed to give him a son, though she was only successful after the death of his nephew Marcellus and disgrace of his daughter Julia.
Further connecting Livia Cardew to her historical namesake, it is implied that Snow marries her after the events of tbosas. In the epilogue, Snow thinks, "If he ever married, he’d choose someone incapable of swaying his heart. Someone he hated, even, so they could never manipulate him the way Lucy Gray had. Never make him feel jealous. Or weak. Livia Cardew would be perfect. He imagined the two of them, the president and his first lady, presiding over the Hunger Games a few years from now," (tbosas). Just as Livia Drusilla became Empress of Rome, Livia Cardew would become the First Lady of Panem. Livia Drusilla was seen as the ideal matron in the early Roman Empire, as a steadfast and supportive wife who oversaw domestic affairs like the home and children. In the same way, Livia Cardew is Snow's ideal wife, a girl with an advantageous family name and no emotional ties to get in Snow's way.
Finally, Livia Drusilla was often villainized by Roman authors the same way Snow villainizes Livia Cardew. Annals by the author Tacitus portrays Livia as a murderous, evil woman in cahoots with her son Tiberius to steal the Empire after Augustus' death. Over and over he reveals his own prejudice against women in ancient Rome, inserting his personal opinions into a work he claims is unbiased truth.  He often uses negative language to describe Livia Drusilla, saying that, “There was also [Tiberius’] mother with her female unruliness,” (Tac. Ann., chap. 1).  Tacitus’ choice to specify that Livia’s shortcoming relates to her gender highlights his lack of respect for women, and his expectation that all Roman women fit a specific mold. In the same way, Snow constantly thinks the worst about Livia Cardew, thinking things like, "Unlike Livia, Clemensia received news of her good fortune with tact," (tbosas). Livia Drusilla was often associated with poison (a "woman's weapon"). There were many rumors about her killing enemies of herself or Augustus using the very method Snow adopted as his own by the events of the original trilogy.
tl:dr Livia Cardew is based on Livia Drusilla, wife of the first Roman Emperor and holds a lot of similarities to the historical figure

I just randomly thought about modern au where the Sully family moves into a new house and Spider is a ghost there. Tuk sees him first and everyone thinks he is her imaginary friend and then the other kids see him too. :(
Okay but I fucking lOVE friendly haunting shit. It's literally my favorite thing. The Sully's move into a new house and all of a sudden, the dishes are put away during the night. Someone is putting Jake's slippers on the vent to warm them up for him in the morning. Neytiri's favorite mug for tea is always waiting for her, and Kiri's plants never need to be watered. Jake and the boys are fREAKED THE FUCK OUT, and Tuk is determined to figure out what's going on, but Kiri is entirely unbothered and Neytiri is very religious and believes in spirits and an afterlife. She just says a little spirit was forgotten here and needs a little TLC. Tuk isn't sure what TLC means exactly for a ghost, so she starts leaving out cookies and glasses of water like the ghost is a skittish animal. The ghost responds with flowers from the garden, and little pennies from deep in the couch cushions. They don't fully get into things until Tuk brings home the whiteboard she swiped from school they did math equations on. Then they start having full conversations, introducing themselves and playing tik tac toe. By the end of the day Jake and the other kids come back from school to find Neytiri and Tuk and a disembodied paint brush painting one wall in each room with chalk board paint so they can "talk to Spider even if the power goes out and he can't type on someone's phone." Jake takes a full hour before he's convinced that the typed messages being read aloud by Neytiri's phone weren't planted there by Lo'ak and Kiri as an elaborate prank.

HCs about Thranduil’s elk!
Tumblr media
He was discovered as a baby by the Elvenqueen on one of her strolls through the woods. His mother had been killed by human hunters and the young calf was already suffering from the effects of starvation and frost bite.
He was brought back to the palace and allowed to reside in the stables alongside the king’s horses while he was being nursed back to health. The calf quickly grew in both size and muscle mass until he was taller and broader than the horses after just one year. At which point Thranduil had to build a separate outdoor enclosure for him.
The queen visited him everyday with the goal of getting him acclimated to receiving contact from the eldar as he was quite skittish when he first arrived. This included hand feeding, baths, allowing her to lift up his hooves, and being introduced to the weight of a saddle. In fact, he got used to her picking him up and carrying him around when he was a babe. So used to it that he developed a habit of crawling into her lap as soon as she sits on the floor as he grew too large for her to lift.
Thranduil himself had to carry out his training because he was the only one with a will strong enough to rival that of the wild elk. At heart, the creature possessed a fierce and violent spirit that was akin to Thranduil’s own. They quickly developed a soul connection forged on the basis of battle lust and the need to roam freely without restraint.
Through this connection, Thranduil can instruct the elk without the use of riding gear, though he does tac him up during battle for better balance during a fight. That and the sake of comfort.
Thranduil gave his mount the name Braigion which means son of the wild.
In battle, Braigion is infamous for plowing down enemy forces and skewering them with his antlers. He also has acted as a battering ram more than once and can knock down wooden doors in one go. He is incredibly fast and can navigate snow as well as rocky terrain far easier than a horse.
In the Winter, he trades in his brown for a silky pure white pelt.
Despite his aggressive temperament on the job, he is fiercely loyal to the royal family and has become a beloved pet if you will.
After his training, Braigion was given free range of the forest and often accompanied the queen in her travels throughout the realm. To both keep her safe and indulge in the snacks he knew she had for him. 😂 He was also a very good sport when baby Legolas would swing on his antlers.
He loves berries and has gotten scolded more than once for picking off the Autumn berries from the branches of Thranduil’s crown.

Since I’ve never introduced my Hellsing OC I figured I’d ramble about him for a moment. I’ll also add a sort of reference sheet and other silly pieces I made for him but please ignore my doodoo art 🫶 (Sorry if it’s a bit of a tough read, mobile Tumblr is weird and I’m just rambling) I’ll also happily answer any questions about him :’3
His name is William Dianthus (Walter gave him that last name based off flowers he tended to growing on the Hellsing property, Sweet William) and he currently lives on the Hellsing property in a room in the basement that was converted into a “guest bedroom” for him. He stands at around 5’9” unless he’s wearing boots with heels and he always has his nails painted and shaped into stilettos. He IS allowed on some missions as a form of back up, and his weapon is a McMillan TAC-50 which is covered in stickers and even has some hanging charms (he used Walter’s wires to tie them there lol)
William was a failed experiment conducted by Millennium, so while he’s not a full artificial vampire, he does have some qualities they share. He was picked up by Millennium as a young child and kept in captivity while they were conducting experiments on him, and dare I say he was one of the first they experimented on due to the fact that Walter had rescued him when he and Alucard raided that location in The Dawn. He originally had regular teeth but due to the stress he felt, he pretty much filed them down in a way to cope, he pulled one out during a very bad experimentation (hence the gold tooth) and he had continued to file them down even after being rescued and brought to Hellsing.
When he first arrived, Sir Arthur was rather weary of him so he instructed Walter to lock him in with Alucard, and during this time he formed a sort of father son bond with Alucard due to being able to communicate telepathically with Alucard’s unawakened form. Walter would of course frequently visit, and even preform Yo-Yo tricks to help ease William’s fears and anxieties (yes that’s a Walter headcanon of mine) or just sit and talk about their lives. Walter stayed in the same cell with Alucard for approximately 8 months, and after he was released he got into the habit of following Walter everywhere, almost like a puppy of sorts. The two eventually formed an attraction for eachother which lead to a relationship they got into in their 20s, and to this day are still in.
When Integra took over Hellsing, William made a vow to protect her with his life, and he sees her as a sort of sibling. The same goes for Seras once she joins Hellsing. William frequently brings in strange pets as the years go on, and Integra never grew fond of this, for one exception, a small black shorthair stray William named Pumpkin due to her being a “halloweeny cat.” He had to sort of bribe Walter into allowing Pumpkin inside, stating that the cat was just like him when he was younger (and poor Walter begrudgingly allowed William to bring Pumpkin inside 😭) but Pumpkin, Walter and Integra are all sort of bonded now, so yes Pumpkin is an “official” Hellsing member! William even stitched up her own little hat and uniform lol
I’ll likely add more when I can but the autism is taking over and I’m struggling to form coherent thoughts lmao

Phantom Liberty: High Anticipation in the World of Cyberpunk 2077
Release Date: September 26, 2023.
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Despite its troubled launch in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has gradually improved, and now, CD Projekt RED is preparing to release its largest expansion in the game's history - Phantom Liberty.
Tumblr media
What Is Phantom Liberty About?
The narrative expansion will place players in the city of Pessy, which is a blend of impoverished districts and free-trade zones. Corporations steer clear of this area, making it dangerous yet appealing to treasure hunters and those seeking to disappear.
Players will once again step into the shoes of the mercenary V and their faithful companion, the digital copy of Johnny Silverhand. Phantom Liberty's events will unfold before the main game's conclusion, and gamers will be tasked with saving the President of the New United States of America, Rosalind Myers, after her shuttle crashes in Pessy City.
Changes in Gameplay
Combat While Driving: Now, battles in cars and motorcycles become a core mechanic and are accessible at any time. This includes the ability to use melee weapons during vehicle combat.
Changes in the Police System: The police system is now more realistic. Police response will depend on the nature of the violation and the area in which it occurs. Police no longer appear instantly, and at higher wanted levels, SWAT teams known as "Max-Tac" may join the pursuit.
Changes in the Skill System: Clothing will no longer affect V's statistics. Instead, effectiveness will depend on the implants installed, which promise to provide new abilities and enhancements. V's maximum level will increase from 50 to 60.
Biotech Skill Tree: An additional skill tree in the form of a biotech chip will be added to the game. Abilities from this tree can be unlocked by finding information terminals owned by the "Militech" corporation in Pessy City.
Additional Story Development
New Ending: The expansion will introduce a new ending that depends on the player's decisions during the narrative missions of Phantom Liberty. This will allow users to experience a new epilogue for the main game.
New Soundtrack: Composers Petr Adamchik and Jacek Paczkowski have created a new soundtrack that will include more classic cyberpunk motifs and spy thriller elements.
Three New Radio Stations: Three new stations with diverse music will be introduced, including heavy tracks and melodies in the style of club and electronic music.
How to Prepare for the Release of Phantom Liberty
Replay Cyberpunk 2077: Return to the world of Night City and refresh your memories before the release of the expansion. It's important to note that Phantom Liberty will be available for both new and existing characters.
Create a New Character: You can create a new character and make different decisions to unlock alternative endings and experience a new storyline.
Use the Ability Calculator: Use the official ability calculator to plan your character build in advance.
Tumblr media
Phantom Liberty promises to be the largest and most exciting expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, introducing numerous new gameplay possibilities and variations, while enriching the game's narrative and music. Get ready to return to Night City and embark on new adventures in the cyberpunk world!

okay so i was thinking about johnny boy (again) and while you might think at first he would show everyone photos of you during missions, he doesn't. he talks about you constantly, sure, but he doesn't show anyone pictures of you because he doesn't want anyone seeing you. you're his to think about in those lonely nights or during steaming showers. he's just possessive like that.
at one point his fellow soldiers probably think you don't even exist and he's just making you up because he won't show any pictures. but then one day when they leave base you're there, waiting for him so prettily, covering him in kisses and coos, wrapping your arms around him much to the astonishment of everyone.
Awww this is so cute!! I love this. He's super open about everything else but you, his one and only. He keeps a picture of you in his pocket or stashed in his tac vest. Everyone jokes that it's just a picture of some model in a bikini or something.
Everyone hears you yell "Johnny!" when they get back to base and are like "holy shit she's real". He introduces you to everyone and they shake your hand in shock. They make jokes with him later like "I can see why you kept her a secret".

I finally decided to revive my Tumblr after having last posted on it in like 2018. I’m currently working on an isekai novel series called Memes of the Prophets, which is a blend of comedy, anime nonsense, RPG tropes, and some Big Ideas.
In the kingdom of Eitania, one of the major religions has a custom where they periodically summon a “Prophet” from Earth who is supposed to introduce new ideas. Some were inconsequential, some caused problems, some left at the first opportunity, and a couple died almost immediately. The 67th Prophet helped spark a major war, so the powers that be were reticent to conduct the summoning ritual again, but they finally decided to summon the 68th Prophet. They happened to conduct the ritual during a strange magical disruption, and got two potential Prophets. One was a YouTube-addicted guy named Dylan who took the form of a handsome elf, and the other was a quiet guy named Eric who took the form of a catgirl (because the divine servant who handled his rebirth wrongly assumed his OC “Lionessa” was what he wanted to be). The church elders are a bit weird and sexist, so they pick Dylan and kick Erica out, leaving her to find her own way.
The first friend she makes is Alyssa, a haggard half-elf summoner who was hoping the consulting job with the church would help her money troubles. The second is Langella, a holy scribe. She comes from an order that studies and chronicles the deeds of Prophets, and despite being relentlessly apologetic, took the initiative to record Erica’s life and shared knowledge. The threesome ends up doing adventuring to make ends meet, and they end up having to add more party members to round out the group. Galatea is a tall, beefy warrior lady who’s shy and loves cute things, but can be downright scary when protecting those she cares about. Her massive sword is made out of an alloy containing nullmetal, which negates magic. The fifth member (who I haven’t commissioned art of just yet) is Amadeus Bloodfire a.k.a. The Supersonic Fox. He’s part of the Clan of the Shadow Blade, a group of sword-obsessed weirdos started by a previous Prophet, and he wields a powerful demonic blade, providing the group with lightning-fast offensive power.
As Erica gets used to her new life, she makes some attempts at teaching Earth ideas to the locals. The fact that there have been 67 previous Prophets means the locals already have things like germ theory and movable type, and people can be a little volatile, so introducing them to tic-tac-toe and modern art causes some unforeseen problems. On the other hand she teaches a cook how to make pasta, and it’s a huge hit.
I’m currently getting near the end of the first draft of the first volume, though the way it’s going the series is going to have at least six books.

Jackson's routines inevitably reached the coach's attention. The gruff older man decided that it didn't make sense to limit their work out to strictly cardio.
So one day, after the team got shrunk, they were introduced to their now gigantic coach. Stomping into the lockerroom in a freshly drenched shirt and shorts, the mustachioed man beamed down at his tic tac sized team.
"Alright, boys! Today you'll be focusing on strength and mobility in 'undesirable weather conditions!' In other words..." the man unbuttoned the fly of his shorts, and lifted the bottom of his shirt. Towering over the awestruck and terrified tiny athletes, the coach brought his damp, fur coated physique into full display! "You boys will be surviving through my body hair as I work out! Now start climbing! You have 5 minutes before I start walking, and you'd better pray you find a secure handhold by then! Anyone who falls off during my routine gets put in the penalty box!"
With that the shorts hit the floor, sending a sweeping stormfront of misting sweat and pheromones over the shaking shrunken men. To emphasize the threat made, their colossal coach reached down to his densely fur lined asscheek, pulling back the mass of muscle to reveal a wet rainforest of fur. The depth of which was beyond anything the tinies could see through. Unlike with their prior exercises, the coach never said when he intended to grow them back...

Exploring the Timeless Charm of Tic-Tac-Toe: A Classic Game for All Ages
Tic-tac-toe, also known as noughts and crosses, remains one of the most beloved and universally recognized games worldwide. Its appeal lies in its simplicity, yet beneath its basic rules, tic-tac-toe offers a world of strategic depth and fun. Let's delve into what makes tic-tac-toe a timeless favorite and why it continues to entertain generations.
The Basics of Tic-Tac-Toe
Tic-tac-toe is played on a 3x3 grid, where two players, usually represented by X and O, take turns marking empty squares. The objective is straightforward: be the first to create a line of three of your marks—either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Despite its simplicity, the game challenges players to think strategically with each move, aiming to outmaneuver their opponent while preventing them from achieving a winning line.
Why Tic-Tac-Toe Endures
Accessible to Everyone: From young children to adults, tic-tac-toe requires no special skills or equipment, making it a game that anyone can play and enjoy.
Quick and Engaging: A typical game of tic-tac-toe is quick, often lasting only a few minutes. This makes it perfect for passing the time during travel, waiting rooms, or casual gatherings.
Educational Value: Beyond its entertainment value, tic-tac-toe serves as an educational tool. It helps children develop logical thinking, pattern recognition, and strategic planning skills—all while having fun.
Strategies for Success
Center Square Advantage: Starting in the center square is often considered the best opening move. It maximizes the number of potential winning lines while giving flexibility in future moves.
Blocking and Forking: Advanced players strategically block their opponent's potential winning moves while setting up their own multiple winning opportunities, known as forking.
Defensive Play: Recognizing and preventing your opponent from completing their lines is key to extending the game and increasing your chances of winning.
Variants and Modern Adaptations
3D Tic-Tac-Toe: Introduces a three-dimensional twist to the game, challenging players to think beyond the traditional 2D grid.
Online and Mobile Versions: Digital adaptations of tic-tac-toe allow players to enjoy the game on smartphones, tablets, and computers, often incorporating multiplayer options for added excitement.
Conclusion
Tic-tac-toe's enduring popularity lies in its blend of simplicity, strategy, and universal appeal. Whether you're reliving childhood memories or introducing the game to a new generation, tic-tac-toe continues to spark joy and friendly competition. Next time you're looking for a game that combines ease of play with strategic depth, revisit the timeless charm of tic-tac-toe—it's a classic for a reason.
Challenge yourself or a friend to a game today and discover anew why tic-tac-toe remains an enduring symbol of playful intellect and timeless fun.

Day One Hundred Nineteen
I realize that I haven't written much this week about the fact that it's Spring Fling, so there have been dress-up themes everyday (today was color wars), fun after school events, and- of course- today there was a pep rally.
That meant shorter classes (35 minutes for the half block classes, 70 for the full block ones), and I spent the first two of mine (two sections of Global Studies) in an IEP meeting while Mrs. R covered for me. Students were just continuing to read their books, though, so it was easy for her. And the meeting was a really good one- super productive, super helpful- which was awesome. After that, I read with my other two sections of Global Studies, then tackled a few different subjects in APGOV. First, we watched and discussed SOTU highlights, then bounced back to the regularly scheduled lesson on the judicial branch. We talked Article III, Fed. 78, and Marbury v. Madison. I also introduced the project they'll be doing next week on some of the major cases that are required knowledge for the AP exam.
And that was that!
Students went to their advisories, and then were dismissed to the gym for the pep rally. Since they sit by class, and each class had a color to wear, it looked really cool. The Principal gave a hype speech, the band and drumline performed a few numbers, and there were a few hilarious games. There was a tic-tac-toe relay, the traditional and intense musical chairs (I played, of course, and finished a respectable fifth- after withstanding an attempt by a junior boy to pick my chair up out from under me and dump me, so I'm a legend now, heh), and a knockerball tournament.
Now, everything during a spirit week- dressing up, attending events, winning pep rally games- can earn points for one's class. It's expected that the seniors win, but- upset of the century- the freshmen actually won it this time! It was pretty fun to be sitting in their section when that was announced.
The week ends with a dance tomorrow night, which I said I'd chaperon. Stay tuned!
