Thinking fondly of Jayce and Viktor in their cottage with their matching leg braces and the mountains of pillows they amass so that they don’t fuck up their bodies too much while sleeping.

Mornings are slow for them. Viktor has to convince Jayce to make himself a cane because he keeps not using his brace when he gets up to pee or nearly pissing himself trying to put it on before he gets up to go. Jayce starts using it around the house to get up and make coffee before he gets dressed cause he brace bites into his skin if he doesn’t put on pants first. Jayce comes home one day to find that Viktor has started etching patterns into the body of his cane. When Jayce asks why Viktor gives him a dismissive “so we can tell them apart” as if they are not 6 inches different in length and two different colors of metal.

When Viktor finally finishes his design, Jayce asks him again, this time while they’re lying in bed together with the lights off, both facing away from each other. Viktor quietly admits that when he got his first cane he didn’t always use it cause he didn’t like the way that other kids stared at it. “With a design on it, if anyone looks, they’re just looking at the pattern cause they’re interested.”

Jayce starts using his cane when they walk through town, and even though he’s had the brace for as long as these people have known him, he still sees people looking at the cane, but he just smiles at viktor because they must be ogling the beautiful etching that Viktor has done. A little girl runs up to them in the market once and starts asking about the cane and where he got it cause it’s so pretty. Jayce is more than happy to tell her all about how Viktor carved the swirling pattern into it with the stars and the occasional rune. She listens raptly and when he finishes she tells him that if she had a cane she would want butterflies on it cause she likes butterflies.

Fave Jayvik headcanon:

Both Jayce and Viktor are trans. But they both are stealth and don't know the other one is.

Viktor who fought hard to transition and pass, who had very little to work with in Zaun, but did his best and mainly passed through socially transitioning well enough that nobody questioned him. Getting on T when he had money and before that it was so on and off, from sketchy people, he wonders if it had done anything.

Jayce who also socially transitioned mainly, but did it a lot later on, bc his mom already had so much on her plate. So he transitioned with all the bells and whistles when they were in Piltover. He loves working out and was so glad when he started T and saw his workouts were working twice as well, and working out helped him pass so well nobody would think twice. When he'd giggle or act super soft to women nobody questioned him. And it felt like such a relief. And his mother being so supportive and his rock, genuinely happy her son is so happy and thriving.

Viktor and Jayce meet.

Both envy the other, not knowing the other is trans.

Jayce sees Viktor who stands so confident regardless of his height or stature. That he talks slow and with a deep voice, that his presence commands a room. That he has that calm masculine vibe that Jayce always so excited and happy go lucky could never master.

(I still feel Vik is autistic and Jayce is Adhd it brings me joy)

And Jayce envies it, Viktor doesn't have to work out, he doesn't have to tone down his excitement and laugh when it pitches too high.

Viktor on the other hand envies Jayce. He's massive, so tall, so buff. Has muscles for days, handsome, has a five o'clock shadow most days than not, has a higher voice and still sounds masculine and smiles and giggles. Nobody questions it. He has a girl best friend, he moves around and flits places. He thrives in public settings so effortlessly clearly not thinking about how people perceive him (a lie but Vik doesn't know yet).

Both so envious, then... they both find out.

I have received many messages wishing me a Happy Trans Visibility Day. Thank you for your support of both @jaycehousetalis and me. I have yet, however, to wish all of you the same.

Being transgender is a beautiful, complex existence and it is yours to forge. Take permission from yourself, for yourself, to become who you are. You will not receive it from the world around you. Progress can be painful, but it is full of discovery. I hope wherever you are within your process, if you are indeed transgender as well, you are finding moments of joy in your own self-creation. Every human deserves this.

I just know that with T4T JayVik, Jayce would come out during the early days of their partnership and be so happy about how chill Viktor just took it. He didn't have that much anxiety with Viktor (Why is that? He knew Viktor for WAY less time than Caitlyn, yet he felt more comfortable coming out to him), but Viktor acted almost too calmly, one might say.

Viktor on the other hand, wouldn't come out straight out of the gate. Nope, he would simply share a story or his own experiences when Jayce eventually talks about his trans journey
