Yeah, we had a discussion. I’m pretty sure every Ukrainian family had at least one of those. But you gotta understand, it all comes to not what you’re leaving behind, but whom you’re leaving behind. Because no matter what you do your social circle will be torn either way. Every person has a right to make their own decision, and you just have to respect it.

I didn’t want to leave. My truth is I’d rather die here than leave, because my home is here, this is where I belong. And I kinda stick with this statement to this day.

My father didn’t want to leave too, and he also wasn’t allowed because he was 58 when full scale war started. He wanted to join territorial defense troops. Mom didn’t want to leave the country and nothing in this world would’ve make her leave him so… Also she couldn’t leave her mother and brother.

My sister was completely devastated cause her fiancé was in France, but she didn’t want to leave the country and she couldn’t leave us.

That all was so freaking insane when i remember it…

I also remember how our parents tried to persuade us (me and sis) to leave when the situation rapidly got worse. Jfc I even remember we agreed… and packed, and said our goodbyes… and then just… couldn’t do it…

My sister has left Ukraine in April. She was suffering from continuous panic attacks and nightmares, especially after numerous report of war crimes (r*ape and t*orture) russian soldiers commit on occupied territories. So we collectively decided she should just go and be with her loved one. That wasn’t an easy decision. Idk if you can imagine it, but seeing your sister crossing the border and knowing there’s a good chance you’ll never see her again it’s not something you deal with easily.

So uhh, yeah, now we’re like this. She visits once or twice a year, and we visit her. This year our dad turned 60 so he’s allowed to cross the border now, and he and mom went to see her in France ☺️.

Some of my friends who left and lived abroad for some time are now back. Some don’t. Some leave now.

I’m staying home. I can’t imagine starting a whole new LIFE elsewhere. Just… i cannot.

Hello, hope you lovely ladies are well! Putting this question to you and your followers: I try to watch at least one new-to-me horror movie for Halloween every year, and I'd love some suggestions!

I have watched a fair bit but I'm sure there's still some good stuff I haven't seen. I'm open to everything except t*orture p*rn/anything super-gory and violent. But ghost stories, creature features, vampires, werewolves, non-supernatural horror, it's all good! Thank you!!

Ooooh I love this topic and I don’t think we’ve talked spooky movies this fall yet! I haven’t had a chance to watch an horror yet this fall, but I’m hoping to catch Alien Romulus soon and the new movie Hold Your Breath on Hulu. The premise sounded really interesting! Have you seen No One Will Save You on Hulu? I watched it last year and thought it was pretty good. The one drawback was the really bad CGI, but I remember thinking if they would have nailed the look of the alien down better it would have been scary AF in a lot of parts. I did watch The Watchers recently after reading the book, and didn’t enjoy the movie much at all in comparison to the book🦎

I have not gone through the horrific reality of conversion therapy! I created this name as a kinda-joke against my upbringing in the conservative south and the church. I’ve debated changing my name as I don’t want to trivialize or joke about people’s very real experiences with conversion therapy, and I am leaning more to changing it now than ever. HOWEVER, since my username was changed, I have received so many stories about conversion t[orture] and while it breaks my heart, it has put this very real experience in a closer proximity to me than ever before. I love receiving messages like this as I also get to put these experiences in close proximity to other’s who may also feel distant to them. There is a massive silence that hovers over topics like these and it’s great I get to listen to and amplify those voices.

I absolutely hated what happened to Calliope so that will always reflect in my writing. Vamp!Reader would not be as obliging to Calliope's wishes as Scarlet Witch!Reader was, she would absolutely make sure Richard Madoc would know true h ell. Dream would fight her about it in respect to Calliope but like does she give a damn? Naw lmao I'm sure Dream can charm her into compromising tho. As for their deal— honestly when I first started down this road i just thought Dream would be providing her with sustance directly from him and in exchange she doesn't feed on mortals but as I was writing it took a bit of a turn towards...well dreamd addymorpheus lmfao there's a quote from dragon age inquisition that sums up their relationship for me and it says "she submits, but you serve" so basically I'd like to think Dream serves her but being her d om. He looks after her, spoils her, keep her in check and just worships her and in exchange she submits to him. Dream sees this as him 'submitting' to her mercy because it is what she wants and needs and he provides that.
