Breaking Control
I wanted to challenge myself to do 30 days of stories. Random number generator picked a character and I found some prompts online.
Prompt- Breaking Control
Character- My Oc T'lussek/Leonard McCoy
Word Count- 624
TW- Punching a table in aggression, talking to a inner spirit.
This is my first time in a long time I've written in the kelvin timeline.
Spock!â
Sarek said firmly as he watched his son choke out someone. Looking at his daughter he knew he had to stop Spock. Tâlussek trembled as she looked at her father. What Kirk said was wrongâŚanger inducing. She couldnât have them both have a fit of rage. Muttering a meditation she kept her eyes on her brother.
âI am no longer fit for duty. I hereby relinquish my command, based on the fact that I have been emotionally compromised. Please note the time and date in the ship's log.â
Spock walked out of the bridge.
âSpockâŚâ
Tâlussek all but whispered as she slowly followed Spock. Taking a deep breath, she waited for the next lift. Stopping on the nearest floor she found the nearest room and looked the door behind her. Once seeing no one was here she took a deep breath and screamed.
You never loved her.
If Kirk could say that about Spock what did that mean for her? She may have just started to quite her emotions but there was no way they didnât care. It isnât that they didnât love herâŚit was the fact that they couldnât allow that to affect them. Punching down on the conference table she let all the sadness travel through her hand. AgainâŚand againâŚher hand throbbed against the bent table.
âSheâs goneâŚâ
Tâlussek screamed her voice squeaking at the end. Just as she had begun to dive into her home world and culture it was taken by him. NeroâŚthat bastard had taken everything from her. Looking down at her green bruised hand she plopped down onto the floor. Crossing her legs, she began to mutter a Vulcan meditation. It was time to get back to functioning.
âAre you in here Tâlussek?â
The familiar tone of Leonard McCoy filled the room as she opened her eyes.
âComputer! Unlock the door.â
With that the door swooshed open revealing the concerned doctor. Concerned deepened his features as he walked in and saw her on the floor.
"Do you think I could gain diplomatic immunity for striking the now captain?â
âIf I didnât know any better, I would say that was sarcastic.â
Leonard chuckled as he pulled up a chair next to her. Not sure what to do he sat there in silence.
âWeâve lost everything. And now Spock lost his commandâŚwhat the hell was Jim thinking? Why would he goat on Spock like thatâŚâ
Tâlussekâs mind began to wander. Speeding through her thoughts one after the other she let out a unhinged grunt. Wrapping her hands around her ears she tried to quiet things.
It is going to be okay kan.
Târhea said in her mind as she tried to calm down.
âYou want some help with that?â
Leonard asked as he sat down beside her on the ground.
âOh my goshâŚyouâre still here.â
Tâlussek gasped as she straightened herself up. She couldnât believe she was having this issue let alone in front of someone.
âI could give you something for the anxiety. Plus, we should wrap up that hand.â
Leonard said as he pointed to her green bruised hand. They really are green blooded. He thought as he looked down at it again.
âThatâŚthat would be nice,â
Tâlussek nodded as she wiped the blood on her dress. Splatters of blood spilled out from her knuckle as she looked at the doctor.
âI think I need to get out of this funkâŚSpock will need me to save him from father.â
Tâlussek rose to her feet. Holding out her non bloodied hand towards Leonard she smiled. She couldnât believe that he sat down on the floor with her.
âThank you Leonard for helping me.â
âI didnât know I did anything.â
âJust sitting here with me helped immensely.â
Tâlussek said as she helped to pull him from the ground. Once they adjusted themselves they left towards sickbay.

How dare you lie to me...
My brother is broken...lost...out of his normally logical mind. He has had that logic stripped from him and yet you deny me access to him. I can feel his mind deteriorating and yet you continue to lie to me...Why is it that you would speak only to Michael with the truth? He is my brother too...I care about him as much as she does.
I AM HIS SISTER TOO! WHY AM I TO BE LIED TO?!?!? Â
You have never once lied to any of us. Michael was right...it is easy to see a lie when one has only ever told the truth. I am...hurt...angry...sad that you would keep the one man I have the ability to help away from me. Was I not human enough? I know now that was where the jealousy of dear Michael stemmed from. She was brought in to help Spock and I was hurt. Hurt that I wasnât enough for my brother. I shall not stand by and have you prevent me from doing the one task I have been created for...and that is helping my brother. This was unacceptable. I couldâve helped. I could have traveled through the looking glass to save our Alice...and yet you kept his need hidden from me.
âAnd hast thou slain the Jabberwock? â
This family and their secrets have only hidden the Vorpal blade. You all have made your choice...and I do not fit in it. Fine. Know that Michael and Spock are my siblings and I shall do whatever I can to protect them. But I shall not take these secrets from you...

I..."
T'lussek looked at his open palm. She wanted him to see her...all of her. And that was intense for most people.
"Do what you feel is right"
Those words played out in her mind. This was the benefit to the other katra. It always was there to help her no matter what problem arose.
"I would very much life to share this 26.72 hours of meditation with you. Though I feel it's only logical to warn you. My emotions though under guidance have a tendency to be...intense. and i wish not to offend you"
T'lussek knelt down in front of him. Looking up at him she began to remove his shoes. It was customary for the healers to bless the feet of those who would enter the temple. She wasn't expecting company so she didnt have her blessing oils out. Once his shoes were off she slowly removed her own. Taking a deep breath she rested her palm in his
@theearthlyvulcan
If T'lussek couldâve died from blushing she wouldâve. Her entire body was a deep green as she listened to him. Meditation was a intimate act. Sharing oneâs mind wasnât something did lightly.
âIt would beâŚâ
She took a deep breath. She did something she wasnât sure was acceptable. She reached for Sarvekâs wrist and wrapped her fingers gently around it.
âIt would be most fascinating to see your perspective on meditations. â
She said as she continued to walk with her hand still on his covered wrist.Â
The sleeves of his robe blocked her skin from touching his, thankfully preventing any telepathic connection through their contact. They barely knew each other and yet he felt like she understood him more than any other Vulcan he had met since leaving Tikopah. He did not pull away from her touch.Â
They had arrived outside the shipâs chapel, the doors opening automatically upon detecting their presence. The lights were dimmed, as he had instructed, and rows of candles were lit on the dais at his request to the chaplain. A soft cloth of a deep shade of purple was laid out on the floor, five flat red cushions embroidered with Vulcan script in a gold thread were stacked on one corner of the floor covering. Two golden goblets, presumingly filled with a traditional wine, sat atop the podium which acted as an altar.
He turned his wrist to offer Tâlussek his open palm. They were not children to be scolded by their elders for inappropriate behaviour. Perhaps her human upbringing had instilled in her a different attitude towards touch than that of their ancestors.Â
â I look forward to the occasion. For now, shall we proceed? Once we enter the chapel it is customary to remain in silent meditation for one rotation of Vulcan â 26.72 Earth hours. â The beginning and end of their Kal Rekk would be marked by the drinking of the wine. When the ritual was undertaken with another person, usually a bondmate or close familial relation, the mats would be placed opposite each other and the participants would sit with their knees and hands touching, sharing memories, thoughts and feelings through the physical bond in order to strengthen their mental connection. It was also possible to do so without the mental connection, instead using the physical presence of those nearby as an anchor to the physical realm.

It is a great honor to meet you sir," T'lussek smiled as she gave a traditional Vulcan salute. "My name is T'lussek

Mind Meld
Genre: angsty fluff
Warning: Minor mentions of self harm
Word count: 3485
Pairing:Leonard McCoy X Tâlussek
Summary: T'lussek decides that a mind meld with Leonard will help him find himself after removing Spock's katra from him
Mother? Have you seen Leaonard?â
Tâlussek walks into the kitchen to see her mother sitting at the dining table. She had been looking for him all day with no avail. Â It had been three days since they had removed Spockâs katra from Leonard. She hadnât seen him since the ritual and had become concerned that something was wrong.
âLast I saw him dear was in the gardens this morning. Iâm not sure if heâs still there or not.â
Amanda said as she took a sip from her cup of tea. She could sense the worry in her daughter and wasnât sure how to help. Right now, she was reminiscent of her father in her calm worry, and she hated not being able to help.
âThank you, Mother. I will go out and see if heâs there.â
Tâlussekâs tone slightly rushed as she made her way outside towards the gardens. She had wanted nothing more than to help. Seeing the others leave him alone and keep their focus on Spock bothered her. He needed just as much help if not more than Spock. Walking towards the gardens made her smile faintly. When she was younger the gardens were her safe space. Her mother had created the perfect environment for such beautiful fauna. No one had thought she would be able to keep it up, but almost out of spite she made the most beautiful garden on the planet. Objectively she knew that wasnât true, but this garden always held a special spot in her heart. Â
âThis is one of the perfect places to meditate.â
Tâlussek said as she walked up behind a seated Leaonard. Resting her hand on his shoulder she looked out into the vastness of her family estate. She had come to enjoy the beauty of the land below her in the last few years and was happy she could share it even briefly. Â
Leonard shook his head as he felt his love behind him. His mind had been scattered as he had tried to piece together what was his again. It had felt like a piece of him had been torn out with the ritual. Grabbing her hand, he led her towards the front of his seated position. Maybe with her help he could find peace of mind.
âBlue is quite flattering on you Len.â
Tâlussek said as she knelt in front of him. Resting her hands on his lap she smiled gently, teasing the fabric of his blue robes. She never thought sheâd see him in Vulcan robes. Though it was out of necessity she was proud to see him in such garments. Â
âYou like it? Your mother helped pick it out.â
Leonard said with a faint chuckle. Looking into his loverâs eyes brought a brief moment of peace. The racing thoughts paused as he could feel her love through their connection.
âI do. I think we should get some for you to wear on shore leave.â
Tâlussek said with a soft chuckle. She tried so hard to flood their mental link with a warm loving feeling. She could only imagine what having someone being taken from you would feel like. Â She only knew what it was like to have someone added to her body. Târhea. She thought of her experience of joining with Târhea. It wouldnât quite be the same as having Spock removed, but the idea of having to find yourself after joining would be similar.
âIâŚI have an idea to help with the loss of self Len.â
Tâlussek said softly as she looked into her loverâs eyes. She had no idea how he would respond to diving into her mind, but she had to try.
Leonard looked down at Tâlussek as if to ask what she had in mind. Now that she was present, he could feel her attempts to help. Their bond was white noise as he was left alone with his thoughts. Seeing her knelt in front of him he was flooded with her love and concern.
âI was thinkingâŚthat we have experienced the opposite with mind melds. You have had a katra removed from you and I had one added. I think maybe seeing me find a new self with my ancestor might be able to help with you finding yourself now that Spock is gone.â
Leonard looked at Tâlussek confused. Why would she so nonchalantly suggest that? Especially after what had just occurred to him. Was there something he didnât know about Vulcans?
âIt... It is normal for Vulcans to meld with their partner. And in doing so I may be able to help show you how to gain experience from your ritual with my brother.â
Tâlussekâs voice was shaky as she spoke. She had always had apprehension in melding with Leonard. Melding had been the most intimate thing she had been taught. If she melded with him, he would be exposed to all of her; even the hidden.
âYou would be sharing everything with me, wouldnât you?â
Leonard asked with a concerned tone. He could feel her apprehensiveness in her tone. Was this what she honestly wanted to do?
âYou would get to see most of the important moments in my life. I canât pick what you see. It would all be in our meldâŚâ Â
âSo how are we gonna separate things once we begin the meld?â
Leonard interjected.
âWe wouldnât need to. I can create a barrier of sorts that will only allow my memories to be experienced. And since you have no psychic abilities, there is little risk of your memories breaking through the barrier.â
A soft sigh left Tâlussekâs lips.
Again, a sigh.
She had done quite a bit of that in her lifetime.
Taking a deep breath, she takes a hold of his calloused hands. These hands that had saved many of their crew were now going to try and save her. BlueâŚit was a calming color as she looked into his eyes, placing his fingers against her psy-points. A weak smile streaked across her face as she reached her fingers against his psy-points. Chanting in her native tongue induced their minds into a trance as they sat.
âHer name is Tâlussek. She shall be named so after one of the first female High healers.â
Sarekâs demanding voice pierced through the calm scape of Tâlussekâs mind. Standing with his daughter in his arms he glared. This will be the beginning of the problems. Tâlussekâs voice said as she walked beside her father.
âThat is one of the first memories I can recall. My motherâs beaming smile. My fatherâs coldness. I will spend all my life deciphering that cold gaze of his.â Tâlussek couldnât help but feel a twinge of pain. This was a journey of pure vulnerability. These were her raw emotional responses to these parts of her life. As it stood there would be no way for her to control what Leonard would see. He would get it all.
âTerran! Your father is a disgrace to Vulcan!â
A young Tâlussek was on the ground crying as Spock had begun to beat up the teasing boys around them. She couldnât believe that her brother would risk getting in trouble for her. They had been very close from the beginning⌠As her mind swirled, a new scene coalesced around them.
âI think it best if she would be raised on earth. She is distracting her brother from his disciplines.â
Amanda turned to her husband with a shocked expression. Â
âSarek! She is your daughter! How could you wish to send her away like that?â
âYou Terranâs have sent your children away for schooling for many centuries. It would be only proper for her to be in a place where her humanity can beâŚnurtured.â
âHe really said that?â
Leonard knew that things with Sarek were difficult. He had heard both Spock and Tâlussek speak of the duality of his nature with them. This, to simply send oneâs daughter off world for the betterment of their sibling... That was quite a⌠human response. Â
Tâlussek felt a wave of remembered frustration fill her consciousness. What this eight-year-old was feeling now was something she would struggle with her entire life.
âYouâd just send me away because of Spock? Not even for my own benefit⌠but because Iâm affecting your perfect Vulcan son?!?â
âTâlussekâŚdear you werenâtâŚâ
âIf you are not going to follow the traditions of the people of this planet then yes. I think that it best for you to go to Earth where your emotions can be taken care of. You remaining here will only prevent your brother fromâŚâ
The sight of the child storming off and Amanda following her faded away. Tâlussekâs eyes watered at the sight of that. I had that discussion with them at eight. They waited for my birthday the following month then sent me to my grandmother on Earth. Melancholy filled the mindscape as they continued through the path of her memories.
âTâlussek please donâtâŚâ
The annoyed tone of Grandmother Grayson filled the small kitchen. The memories now were of her time on Earth. This current meal was one that stirred conflict inside of her as they sat at the table. Tâlussek had just been sent home from school for violence on campus grounds and was now reaping the consequences.
âDo what? Express any sort of humanity? I canât do Vulcan thingsâŚand apparently, I am a failure at being human tooâŚâ
âIt doesnât matter what you do, you are being emotional and destructive. Youâll bring shame to this family if you keep following this destructive path.â
Grandmother rose from the table and began to leave.
âYou need to pickâŚare you human? Or are you one of them? You canât hide behind this much longer.â
Swirling away from the angry old family member the memories shifted to her academy dorm.
Tâlussek was on the floor of her room at Starfleet Academy. Her hands were covered in her heated green blood as a file lay on her lap. Her mind in an emotional frenzy as she tried to take away the parts of herself others seemed to have hated.
âDid you try to file your ears off!?â
Leonard all but gasped as he knelt beside the memory. She nodded down at the distressed doctor with tears streaking down her face. Her fingers reached up and felt the scar tissue that ran down her left ear.
âLu!â
Tâlussek had been stopped by her Orion roommate Vazih before she could begin to attempt the other ear. WeeksâŚit had taken her two weeks to be cleared by the med bay to go back to classes, not that she had let any of her classes slip. Between finishing her work and regular visits to a counselor she had finally graduated. With another swirl she was now standing before her father. It was the day of her graduation from Starfleet Academy.
This was the moment I had been given my first assignment. Through all the self-harm and nonsense that had happened I had done enough work to graduate. But I couldnât have a moment. Of course, HE wanted something. With a swirl of reds and tans they both were now in front of Tâlussek and Sarek.
âTâlussekâŚâ
âNow you want meâŚNow that I finally have a leg to stand on in the worldâŚNo lettersâŚno attempts at contact whatsoeverâŚbut now⌠NOW you have need for me when itâs convenient.â
âYou know as well as I do Tâlussek you are from the house of Surak, and it is your duty now as a young woman to come and take up your role as a healer. To do otherwise would be squandering a great gift.â
âWhat makes you think that you can come here and demand this of me? Or that I would even take up a mantle of a Vulcan culture that hasnât been mine since I was eight?â She took a deep breath. The house of Surak was filled with a deep hypocrisy, and she knew all too well that wasnât going to change. The angerâŚthe hurtâŚthe sadnessâŚit was all swirling in her mind as she pulled these memories for Leonard to see.
âThis mantle is yours whether you embrace it or notâŚâ
âHow are you going to keep your house of Surak pure? Was I raised with the traditional disciplines?â She said coldly glaring at her father; she wished she could scream it at him. Without the traditional disciplines how could she be expected to heal anyoneâŚespecially those with mental problems? Only the most skilled healers even dared to attempt any healing of the mind.
âI have spoken to the elders. We have found an ancient ritual that would bind you to the soul of one of our ancestors. This in theory, would serve to give you proper access to the control of your emotions.â
Ancient texts. The words of those before the reformation of Surak. Most Vulcans didnât give any merit to those ancient stories, especially from that time. Â But Sarek had wanted a healer in his house so badly, heâd scoured all the resources he had to find a way to get one.
âWhat does that entail for me?â
âOnce the ritual is complete, you should be able to learn the skills of the healers at an accelerated rate.â
Closing her eyes Tâlussek tried to feel Târhea. A wave of warmth encompassed them both. Târhea was a healer from four generations prior. When she merged with me, I was told there was moments of intense pain. In our mind she took that pain away from me. That is why there are no real memories of our mergence here.
A tall slender Vulcan appeared from behind Tâlussek. Resting her hand on her descendant Târhea looked at Leonard and nodded her head. Now you can tell who inspires the more Vulcan moments of my life. Tâlussek said with a smile as she reached up and squeezed her ancestorâs hand. This woman had helped to calm the consuming emotions. They had spent many hours teaching each other the different parts of their own mental and spiritual journeys.
âIt is an honor to meet you Târhea.â
âThe honor is all mine. It is nice to finally meet the human she is so fond of. .â
Tâlussek turned at the sudden sound of a voice familiar to both of them.
âAmbassador Sarek and his wife are my parentsâŚâ
Tâlussek stood in silence for a few moments. Her patience had run out as she coughed to get her brotherâs attention. She was not going to be forgotten, even if she was the black sheep.
âAnd this is my sister Tâlussek.â
Tâlussekâs mind fluttered as she was taken back to the memories of their first meeting. The Babel conference was the first time that she had worked with her father in a more official capacity. It was the first time that she had seen her brother since he took his position on the Enterprise. And the first time she had met Leonard.
âNice to meet you, Doctor McCoy. It is nice to finally meet one of the men that gives my brother so much trouble.â
That comment right there was when I knew that I could very much enjoy your company.
Leonard walked behind himself and looked at Tâlussek. He remembered getting her to chuckle a few times that evening. Her emotional flexibility was refreshing, especially having had just spent all that time with the other, much stuffier delegates.
Tâlussek chuckled as she saw Leonard joke about I-Chaya.
I wished to retire, and you swept me off my feet with Jimâs help. Showed me to my room while telling me how different I was from my brother.
Leonard smiled as he watched himself offer his arm to Tâlussek.
Jim really did set that in motion, didnât he? Remind me to thank him when we go back to our separate bodies.
A wave of sadness washed over the mindscape as they ended their journey to her quarters.
This is where I called your brother a green blooded hobgoblin isnât it?
Leonard looked as he could see the tension in Tâlussek build. He truly didnât mean anything by that comment. Yet he learned quickly that his words held more value to her.
âYou realize that green blood also runs through my veins? Would you judge me as harshly as you do Spock?â
If it wasnât for the Babel conference and Târheaâs ability to step in⌠I had finally begun to feel like a Vulcan... You had no idea what that name had done to meâŚhow could you? It hit me like a ton of bricks, and I didnât wish to believe someone who had treated me so kindly could be so cruel.
Leonard understood with a clarity he hadnât had before the meld. Now her reactions made sense. She had struggled with her identity and hearing such things about her brother felt cruel to them both. Her emotions had seeped out when her identity was involved. Without saying anything Leonard wrapped Tâlussek into a tight embrace.
I am sorry for the cruelty of my words Tâlussek. That was not my intention ever to be soâŚ
Tâlussek squeezed tightly against Leonard. After a few moments of embrace the mindscape began to swirl; concentration had been lost as they returned to their reality. After a few moments of settling, he cupped Tâlussekâs cheek with his hand.
âThank you for this Tâlussek. I really think thatâll help me find myself again.â
Running his finger across her cheek he stood in silence. He could still feel herâŚfeel that moment of emotion. Once he felt himself calm and become himself again, he pulled her into a tight embrace.
Ahem!
The silence was broken by a cough at the entrance to the gardens. Pulling apart they turned to see both Spock and Kirk standing there.
âSorry to ruin the moment lover boy,â
Jim said as his pushed his way a bit forward towards Leonard.
âYou are quite good at that Jim.â
Tâlussek said before brushing her hand against her lovers. He had been the best emotional block this universe had ever seen. That is what happens when you are as close as those three are. She thought as she shook her head. Looking at her stoic brother she wondered if he had remembered memories, he had shared with her. She chuckled as she walked past Jim and stood in front of her brother.
âIf I remember correctly, I also helped create some moments with you.â
Jim nudged against her shoulder as she walked past him. Ignoring the nudge Tâlussek took a deep breath and looked up at her brother.
âThank you, Spock, for keeping him safe.â
Tâlussek had no idea how much of her brotherâs memories had returned, she was just happy they would both be okay. Whether he knew it or not Spock had helped them both grow as beings with this adventure he put them all through.
âTâlussek,â
Spock said softly as if he tried to recall who she was. After a few moments of silence, he nodded his head.
âIt is only logical that we had helped each other.â
Spock said with a nodded as he held up his hand to his sister.
Without saying a word Tâlussek pressed her hand against his and smiled.
âI take it that it is time for you all to leave back to Starfleet?â
She asked as she saw the others behind the door.
âYes. It is time for us to leave. Shall you be coming with us?â
Spock asked looking down at his sister.
âNot this time. Iâve got some work to do with Father,â
She said with a soft sigh.
â I wish youâd all stay for one last meal.â
Spock looked over at Jim as if to ask. A few moments had past as Jim had thought about staying for one more day.
âI donât see why not. Itâs not like weâve been given an actual timetable.â
Jim said with a smile as he saw the excitement in Tâlussekâs eyes.
âThank you, Jim.â
She said as she walked over and hugged him. He could see the importance of spending time with spending time with oneâs family, even if they were chosen.
âWell does anyone want to go into town with me to start on dinner?â
âI will,â
Leonard said as he walked towards his love. âI will. Unless you want this to be a date adventureâ
Nyota said with a soft chuckle.
âNot at all. This adventure Iâll be needed help with.â
Tâlussek smiled as she saw her mother back in the kitchen. This was what she had always wanted. A home filled with people she loved and cared about. She was lucky to have been given this even after all this time.
âOkay all who wish to come itâs time to go!â
Tâlussek said with a playful tone as she made her way back in the house.

The Search For Spock
I need to speak with Captain Pike,âÂ
Tâlussek could feel her heart wrenching. Keeping her ear to the ground she had heard the rumors that her brother Spock had killed three people. Even though she hadnât lived with her brother she was still very close to them. They both shared a bond that seemed to transcend space as evident by the illogical feeling of doom in her gut. She was willing to ignore all logic to make sure her brother came back home.
âHe isnât aboard the Enterprise maâam.â
A stone cold voice filled the air as a young Vulcan pecked away at a console.Â
And hereâs the plus side to being a ambassador in training.Â
Tâlussek thought as she took a deep breath. Having been taken in the half Vulcan was being training to take her place as a healer for the house of Surak. She felt like she couldnât begin to heal the minds of her people unless she could heal those closest to her first.
âThen it is only logical that you find out where he is and get me to him!âÂ
Tâlussek said as she almost glared at the woman. Without hesitation she continued her search for the captain.
âIt seems Star Fleet has directed him to the Discovery. Shall I...â
âYou MUST find me transport to the Discovery. Pike was the last person to speak with my brother before....this. You must discrete Tâsarla. And you must be fast...â Â
Tâlussekâs eyes widened as she saw this new science vessel now in front of her. Thank the stars she was able to help. She thought to herself as her pilot began to hail Discovery.
âThere isnât time for this.âÂ
She said with a groan as she readied herself on the transporter pad.
âBeam me over right now!âÂ
The pilot did as they were told as Tâlussek closed her eyes and was transported to Discovery.Â

From Rage Comes Understanding
What would have happened if Tâlussek had helped Michael find Spock? Well she has a gift for her agitated sister from a lost love. This is what happens before Michael takes Spock to section thirty-one in Discovery and shall be ongoing.Â
Genre:Â AngstÂ
Warning: Mentions of aggression, emotional Vulcan
Word count: 1199
Pairing: Pike X Tâlussek
  Tâlussek!â Â
Michael said as she ran after her sister. Having witnessed her emotional explosion, she was deeply worried about her. Holding onto the small PADD she kept a short distance between them as she could see the emotions welling in her eyes.Â
âEven after all this time Micahel you refuse to use anything but my formal name.â Â
Tâlussek said as she let out a deep sigh. Not that there was much she could be called but she always felt the tense formalities should be laxed with family.Â
âWhat could you possible want from me Michael? Come to shun the family freak?âÂ
Tâlussek could feel her own body tense. She knew logically that Micahel didnât deserve this. Hell no one deserved her unbridled rage. Taking a deep breath, she rested her hand on Michaelâs arm.Â
âIâm sorry sister for such aggression. I... Iâm not exactly sure whatâs going on.âÂ
âWell itâs time to find out whatâs going on. What are your emotions telling you?â Â
âMy emotions are.... insane right now Michael...I donât...âÂ
âBreath Tâlussek. I am here to help. Iâve always been here to help.â Â
Michael took hold of her sisterâs hands and looked into her light blue eyes. They were filled with a deep turmoil. Even though they didnât know each other very well it seemed that Michael was always meant to be the balance of the children of Sarek. She had always been very helpful to see things from a logical perspective. Â
âMy emotions are telling me that I shouldâve been there to help Spock with the Tokâmar. I should have been there growing up with you...having adventures.... being a sister.... They are telling me that it is embarrassing that I am taking out my anger for my parents out on you. They are angry for my parents shuffling me off to Earth...they are sad I feel replaced by you....âÂ
Tâlussek had begun to do something she hadnât done in some time; cry. Reaching her fingers up she brushed them against the tears looking almost puzzled at Michael. Letting out a soft chuckle Michael reached up and wiped her sister's eyes. Â
âYou were never replaced. Do you know how many times I had to help Spock pick something out to send to you? He never stopped thinking of you ever.âÂ
Michael said reassuringly as her grip on her sister tightened. Having grown up in more human conditions Tâlussek always loved the tight reassuring touches of those she cared about. Michael was no different. There was something to be said about the family chosen or not. Tâlussek thought as she pulled away just long enough to hug her sister.Â
âThank you, Michael. Thank you for all that you have and are still doing for this family. I donât know what the house of Sarek wouldâve done without you.âÂ
Tâlussek chuckled softly as she took a deep breath. Trying to bring her mind to a more logical place she looked down at a PADD in the hands of her sister. Focusing on it she began to count the markings on the PADD. After a few moments of counting she took a deep breath and turned towards her sister.Â
âIâm sorry for the emotional outburst...but what is that PADD in your hand for Michael?âÂ
Michael shook her head looking down at the PADD. Handing it to Tâlussek she sighed.Â
âCaptain Pike gave this to me before I left for Vulcan. He had hoped that I would be able to get it to you.â Â
âWhat is it?â Â
âIâm not sure. He just said I needed to get it to you.â Â
Looking down at it she noticed that there needed to be DNA verification. Spreading her hand out on the PADD she hoped that this wasnât something awful. As it scanned her it chimed in acceptance as a bit of data had begun to scroll across the screen. Her eyes widened as she had all of the information pertaining to the red signals. Kaminar, the sphere, Spockâs notes, they were all here on this PADD.Â
âHello Tâlussek.âÂ
Christopherâs voice filled the air as his disheveled face appeared on the screen. Tâlussekâs heart skipped a beat as she heard the need in his tone. He was at a loss for words which was quite rare for him with how involved he was with the crew. Â
âYou once told me that you wanted to help me be the best man that I could. And that journey has always began with honesty. You have always been my Logos and now since I am lost in my journey, I need your help...your logical eyes always have been able to see what I can not.â Â
Logos...Ethos...PathosÂ
Logic...Ethics...EmotionÂ
Those were that words that danced around their conversations.Â
Once she was his Pathos...then when he saw her since her meld, he had changed that now to his Logos. Â
âYou have been trying to find the pieces to this Red Angel puzzle far before Enterprise got involved. That has given you a difference in perspective that none but you can have. I need that perspective Tâlussek. I keep trying to find the logic in this puzzle but with my new crew and with section thirty-one I am lost. Du nam-tor tânash-veh khaf-spol. I have given Discoveryâs coordinates along with all the information she has to Michael in hopes that it reaches you. I hope to see you Tâlussek. I hope the pull as I do.â Â
The message flashed as the PADD shut off.  Tâlussek could feel a few tears trickle down her cheeks as she quickly wiped them off. Hoping Michael didnât see that she shook her head.Â
âAu puvutau du ish-veh khaf-spol ko-kai"Â
âNone of that Michael. Thatâs neither here nor there.â Â
Michael nodded as she heard the muttering of the rest of her family. They were bringing Spock back to the house. Looking back at her sister she wanted nothing more than to help the raging emotions in her.Â
âWhat exactly happened between the two of you?âÂ
âI couldnât be a starship captainâs wife. I had what most would consider more important things to do. Father had made me take up the Vulcan mantle. Fusion with Târela took priority so that I may take the roll of ambassador and healer of the house of Surak...it was only logical that was to be my priority.âÂ
âThat in itself was illogical. You are also an accomplished anthropologist and cartographer. You couldâve been a valuable member of his crew...â Â
âThere is always a sense of honor to oneâs house Michael. His house was his ship...âÂ
Tâlussek took a deep breath. Michael had already seen her emotions fly off the handle. She didnât need to see any tears. Her head shaking in disbelief she looked down at his lingering picture. Was it really just the family honor that stopped her? Or was there fear? Fear that he couldnât see past her lineage? That was neither here nor there. Right now, he needed her help. The least she could do is keep her family safe...both chosen and blood. Â
âWe need to get Spock to Section Thirty-One. You arenât going alone Michael. I shall make it a point to help you see him and you to safety.â Â

T'lussek had undergone a ancient ritual to place one of her ancestor's katras into her body. Sarek felt it was neccessary for his daughter to learn the traits of a healer. When she brought up her lack of "Vulcan disciplines"he said a transfer of a katra would help her to gain the disciplines needed to heal the mind, body, and soul of her people. This katra though not hers it influences T'lussek heavily. Especially during the high Vulcan holidays where she goes into a far deeper expression of Vulcan need in meditations and things.

Back to Vulcan
Tâlussek,â
Sarekâs tone filled the air of Tâlussekâs chambers. Her eyes opened as she came back from her meditation. It was something she had to do far more often now that she had decided to become another Vulcan ambassador.
âYes father?â]
âOur transport is here.â
âTransport to where? I was unaware of a need to travel.â Â
âAll Vulcans have been called back to New Vulcan for a cultural meeting. The few elders that are left feel we need to decide the fate of our planet.â
Tâlussek felt a twinge of pain in her heart. She was there when Vulcan was destroyed. It didnât hit her until they counted up the remaining Vulcans aboard the Enterprise. Taking a deep breath, she rose to her feet.
âThen I guess I must pack and we shall leave.â
Sarek nodded as Tâlussek began to pack. After a few moments she appeared in the front room. Sarek nodded. Walking out with his daughter they boarded a minor transport vessel. Â
âDid you happen to know what ship we shall be on?â
âWe shall be traveling on the Camelot.â
Tâlussek nodded as she began another small meditation. Â
âUss Camelot. This is the Uss Tâleer.â
