DIY Basics
-Goth DIY Tutorials Number 1 (Part 1)- Hi there, I decided to start a little DIY series! I’m not the most professional at anything lol but I’ve been doing DIY and crafts my entire life and been part of the goth subculture for 10+ years. I’ve seen a lot of baby bats and people inexperienced in crafts online saying they don’t know how to DIY thrift store clothing to be goth so I’m here to help! I believe DIY is super important to the goth subculture and should be easy and accessible, and if I can stop anyone from buying big fast fashion brands I’ve done my job.
For the first post of this series I thought I’d link some sources for people new to DIY or looking for some easy projects to do yourself (projects will be in part 2)🖤This will help you find a starting point if the idea of DIY is overwhelming.
None of these links are mine! I will be posting my own tutorials as part of this series though:)
Some of the most basic starting points for goth DIY are using fishnet tights as a top (just cut a hole in the crotch and cut off the feet), putting safety pins in everything, adding holes to clothes, and adding pins and patches. I like to make my own patches, either by free handing or stenciling, which I linked a tutorial for in this post.
Helpful tools to have:
(I don’t agree with buying from aliexpress but their other sources are great!)

T-Shirt Design Methods:
This is just s few ways to weave t-shirts, there are a ton of different ways to do it and YouTube has some great tutorials, especially on Angela Benedict's channel

Glitter, Stickers, and Crayons- How To Regression Journal for Beginners - Age Regression Series
Originally posted to www.onlyfunthings.org on June 11, 2018
iao Lovelies! Today’s post is all about regression journaling- what it is, what it’s good for, how to start one, and some journal prompts. Now, if you don’t know what Age Regression is, please read our post HERE first. Now, let’s get into it!
What Is it?/What Is It Good For?
A regression journal is a journal that you write in / color/draw in when regressed! You can also make pages for yourself while you’re not regressed to do when you regress! I use my regression journal to help me regress when I can’t do it naturally. Sometimes you just need a lil push.
How to Start One:
Step 1- Acquire a Journal/notebook! It doesn’t matter what kind of notebook you get, because….
Step 2- Decorate! Cover the notebook with stickers or glitter or washi tape or drawings of whatever you like!
Step 3- Make some pages for yourself to fill out while regressed. You can print out like grade school worksheets or coloring pages and glue them in. Or wordsearches/crosswords! Or you can do what I did and write in a bunch of drawing/writing prompts!
Step 4- Use it! Have lots of fun using your imagination to make the journal amazing! You can glue or tape in cute things you find, put in lots of stickers, glitter, washi tape, whatever you like!
Journal Prompts:
- Make an “About Me” page! Fill it out with your name, regression ages (if you know them), nicknames, likes and dislikes! Maybe even include or draw a picture of yourself!
- Make a page with lots of big circles. On the top of the page write “Yummy Food! Draw your favorite foods in the circles!”
- Make a page where you can draw cute clothes!
- Make a page FULL of everything you can think of that you like! For example, your fave: color, tv character, dessert, book, food, animal, outfit, activity, pie, cake, stuffed animal, etc etc!
- Draw the outline of a dress on a page (or a T-shirt!) Leave it for your regressed self to design it!
- Make a “What’s in My Bag?” Page! Draw a big bag and let your regressed self draw what’s inside!
I hope you all like this idea! I love using this to help me regress and relax!
Remember to Stay Awesome and Love Yourself!

plants and bird and rocks and things
I just published a new pattern on Ravelry!
It's a cute cropped t-shirt with everything I love:
RAGLAN SLEEVES!! of course.
nice, rounded neckline because I don't like my neck to feel stuck
short sleeves b/c I'm always hot
just a little positive ease at the bust
lil' pop of color to make things interesting
cropped because layering is fun
When I was still working on it, the Ravelry project page title was "a crop top with no name" and it kept reminding me of America's A Horse With no Name so I turned to the song lyrics to find a name. I went with "plants and birds and rocks and things" and one thing about me is when I find a name that makes me chuckle a bit, I usually keep it. I loved how long it was so it stuck.
How it's knit: cast-on the neck stitches, knit flat to shape the neck, knit in the round until sleeves/body split, finish the body, finish the neckline, finish the sleeves, surface crochet for the vertical lines. So it's all one piece, top down, no sewing, no colorwork. My patterns always have you finish the body before the sleeves but in reality, after I have split the body and sleeves, I knit the body until I finish my ball of yarn, then I do neckline-sleeves-body. That's because I like to maximize the use of my yarn and I am pickier with sleeve length than body length, so often I will knit the sleeves to fit what I have in mind and then whatever's left goes in the body.
I only need three 100g skeins of fingering weight for a 4XL cropped t-shirt so that's why I love crop tops. I can still use nice hand-dyed yarn but it's less expensive. This design needs 2 to 4 skeins only, and is graded to fit from a XS to a 6XL. I follow the Craft Yarn Council charts for sizing, but I add a little more ease to the sleeves.
I don't write my patterns with beginners in mind specifically, but if you're an adventurous knitter, even if you've never knit a sweater, I think this one should be easy enough and you should be able to find resources easily. Plus, it's a short sleeve crop top, so it doesn't take as long as a full length sweater - it might be more encouraging if you've never undertaken a big project like that.
I really hope someone out there uses all different colors for the vertical lines!
The yarn was generously provided by Julie Asselin, who is a wonderful person and a treasure of the knitting community. I am using her Fino base, which is a lovely mix of merino, cashmere and silk. I love this base for a layering piece, because the cashmere and silk give it delicious drape. The color here is Brume. I absolutely needed a pastel/lavender sweater, and Brume delivered.
My contrasting color is Are U Crazy? from my dear friend Bleu Poussière. Can you believe this pastel neon yellow was obtained with NATURAL DYES? She only uses nature for her colors - flowers, roots, mushrooms. My favorite color of hers is anything dyed with logwood.

Hi Taffybuns! Thank you for being you and artist that has passion to make. My brother told me that he bought two shirts out of it and he loved it, i was surprised you were the artist drew design! (the pokemon ones!)
Though I am curious and i hope you'll able to respond, do you have advice to make my art for merchandise in the future? I don't mind if you want to simplified explaination, a tumblr posts, or dropping a youtube link video; since you're busy with conventions.
I'm picky when it comes youtube art videos that are always give me the vibes of elitism, clickbait videos or others. You're the first artist I wanted to ask, so i hope it's fine if you can reply or not.
Sending my best regards to you. Take care and love your art as always. (I hope i can buy your pokemon hawaiin shirt!)
hello! thanks so much for the sweet message!!
apologies for the confusion, though! the pokemon shirts arent mine! i share a joint storefront with my friend and tablemate, you can view all his designs here! we have our store bio set to say we are two artists, but it's hard to see on the shopee site format, haha. i'll pass this message along to him, and i hope you can buy his shirts in the future too, they're very well made! i'm glad your brother enjoys them!
(if anyone is reading this, he also has them listed internationally on Etsy! my items aren't here though, sorry!!)
i assume you're PH based aswell if your brother got our shirts, so i'm gonna link some resources and basic advice under the cut-
i'd be glad to help where i can, though my basic advice is to just start.. i began selling merch with dann (friend who made the pokemon shirts) when we were just classmates in college, and we started at small anime events selling small prints with our table falling apart hahajkfghjk.. but even back then everyone was so friendly, so it was very encouraging !! the art community is very sweet and there is a lot of support for you !!
first, you'll want to find your market! this will determine what conventions you want to apply to and what kind of merch you want to make. do you want to make fanart, or original art? are you doing mostly stickers, tote bags, or anime merch? or do you just want to sell online?
second, what is your budget for merch production? starting out is expensive, personally my funds always circulate between profit and spending on restocks again. this will determine what kind of merch you can make, and then you expand later! i started out with only stickers and art prints, then keychains, and then bags and t-shirts later on!
if you're into original art, some events i recommend for beginners are Patrons of the Arts, Buzzart, Komiket. they have regular events throughout the year. if you're into stickers, there's Stickercon and Sticky Expo!
if you're into fan art, you can try ozinefest (sales are slower but table cost is cheaper), or if you have enough money, split for cosplay ph events
of course these aren't the only events, though they're the ones i regularly attend! if you have a more specialized market, there are dedicated cons like philifur, the grand lason, pokecon, etc. for all of these events you'll either have to keep your eyes peeled for table openings on their pages (rare), or email them to be added to their mailing list so you'll be told when they're open
if you don't have any suppliers yet, you can apply to join Artist Alley Group Order on facebook ! people regularly post about suppliers for all kinds of merchandise that you can look up. if you want any recommendations you can message me off-anon!
as for the merchandise itself, this varies person to person. my market is more obscure fanart that other people don't sell, and cutesy original art! i sell big illustrations as prints, though other people report on having a hard time selling prints. it depends on the content and art style. you'll have to experiment and see, or look around other shops to see what sells! visiting art markets yourself is also a huge help, to see the market, make friends in the artph community, and support artists!
i'd recommend starting out with stickers and prints- they're the cheapest to produce, and people often buy stickers because of their low price at cons. when you get more familiar with the market you can try going onto more expensive things to reproduce!
again if you want details, let me know! this is very vague and general advice, if u have any specific questions i'll do my best if i'm not busy! don't be afraid to surf thru some videos too, a lot are very helpful n not too elitist!
gl and take care aswell anon!

let's do alternate, roots, and favorite for twenari for the oc design asks!
Alternate: What would your OC's alternate universe look be? If they're a fantasy character, what's their modern look? If they're sci-fi, what's their fantasy look? What AU would you want to see your OC in, and how would they dress themself? Bonus: Prompt an AU!
Twenari is quite fantasy, so we'll go with her modern look. Modern Twenari is wearing a cute, salmon pink coverall dress over a white T-shirt. She's got a gauzy bandana she wears over her hair and headphones she wears over that. Her socks have lacy tops, and she's wearing them with the biggest, clunkiest punk boots you've ever seen. The silver spikes on the boots are matched with some silver jewelry that's very goth - lots of skulls and chains. Her ears are covered in piercings and she has a septum ring as well, but Izjik hasn't let her get more than that. She wears a lot of those star pimple patches along with mascara and lip gloss. I feel like wherever Twenari is in space and time, she's found her way to a school, so let's say she's got a backpack and lanyard too.
Roots: Is your OC's look inspired by any specific style of clothing or fashion trend? What are the roots and/or inspiration for their look?
I wouldn't say her style has been influenced by many real-world trends. She often wears a shin-length skirt, so her silhouette is very 50s. In-universe, she dresses very Teaban, down to the kerchief head covering, though she tends towards a more modernized version of the style. This makes sense, as she's culturally Teaban, even if her ancestry is Shuari.
Favorite: Does your OC have a favorite article of clothing or accessory? What is it? What's the meaning behind it? Do they wear it all the time or do they wear it sparingly to keep it safe?
Oh, definitely her bandana. When she was younger in book 1, she was stuck in that awkward beginner loc phase, so she was kind of insecure about her hair. By books 2 and 3, things have calmed down, but she still likes to wear something over her locs just for style. Also, when you fight as many crazy creatures as she does, you want something to keep your hair out of your eyes.
Thanks for the asks! Twenari is a teenager, and thus very style-concious, so it's always fun to talk about her :)

8 Best Logo Design tips/techniques
Logo design plays a vital role for any brand or company to make or break its business of a company can make or break its business vision. A well-designed logo can establish a new brand and also help a running organization to build rapport with the customers. Other than an imperfectly created logo fails to communicate a brand nature and ultimately harms business.
Avoid using multiple colors use a maximum of 3 Colors
A Logo should always neat and clean as it’s not only a piece of design it is also a brand communicator for the entire media. Using more color can distract your user’s interest also it’s very hard to create its chemistry with other media like printing and web display. Using less color will make your logo more prominent.
Use simple and avoid sharp edges / cursive fonts’ type
Uses of your logo can be in any size from bigger in hoarding to smaller in Ads, especially for the newspaper ads. Sharp edges font type can decrease the visibility of your brand also we shouldn’t use more than 2 font’s type.
Compatible with Black & White Background
Always create a reverse type of your logo (white on black & black on white). It’s better if the colors and font type we use should be in contrast on white & black background. If your logo suffices the given purpose it’s a well created Logo Design.
Stick to two-dimensional design
Your logo can either be two or three dimensional. But it’s recommended creating 2D Logo for beginner always. First, it’s easy to conceptualize if compared with 3D design. Also, it helps us to understand the process of logo designing.
Create a vector logo
The logo should always be in vector format as we discussed earlier that the uses of your logo can be anywhere right from giant size hoarding to a one columns newspaper ad. The best part of vector design is that most of the beginners wouldn’t aware as it doesn’t have a size limitation, means its pixels would not affect if we increase or decrease its size at any level. It will not affect its pixels. Other than bitmap format has a limited size. We will have in length discussion on Vector and raster Graphics in our future topics.
Avoid using shadow, bevel, gradient, or emboss techniques
There are N numbers of techniques which can make our design more beautiful and attractive but it’s hard or sometimes impossible to reproduce it on a various medias like screen printing, foil stamp printing & embroidery as it is unable to support gradient& shadow. Even the premium signages like ACP board doesn’t support it. The only process which supports all kinds of colors and effects is Digital printing but it has its own limitation.
Avoid using photos
As we already discussed the bitmap/ raster images for its limited resolution and photos supports the same format, so we should do avoid using photos in Logo Design. Also, it doesn’t reproduce well in many media like hoarding, many parts of sublimation/heat transfer printing, embroidery for T-shirts, etc.
Best Software for Logo Designing
There are many free tools online and offline to create Logo of your choice. You can take help of them to create some basic designs. But it all has some restricted features which won’t allow you to do experimental design. We Designs recommend Corel Draw (any version) and Adobe Illustrator (any version) as the best vector Logo Designing tool which is capable enough to suffice your entire designing requirement.

Luke Sullivan.
"Beast mode, Baby!"
Character designer Kaname Fujioka mentioned that alongside Kimberly and Jamie, Luke is to serve as one of the big 3 to the new generation of street fighter fans. So, who is this guy? Is he supposed to be the new Ryu? Or something else?
He was revealed in Street Fighter 5 as the final DLC character. Back then i was expecting Makoto. I was quite disapointed, alongside other people who were expecting other things. But the development team had a lot of faith in him. Like a lot. Going as far to call him the future of street fighter?
in 5, Luke comes off as a cocky and arrogant young dude. Fresh off the army with a little bit of encouragement from Guile, he has a strong will to back it up. He's not too respectful to his opponents and doesn't seem to be taking this fighting thing seriously. he does seem to enjoy it though.
Also a cool detail about him in 5 is that some of his moves have this paint splash effect, alluding now to street fighter 6' whole aesthetic. They really meant this "future of street fighter" shit. How cool!
Time passes, and he's revealed to be included in Street Fighter 6. More humble and mature, he takes the role of the guide of the story mode of the game. Due to past experiences he seems more laid back. He seems like a really cool older brother now! This maturity is also shown to the rest of the cast. He's really endearing now.
He's also rocking a brand new design that a lot of people agree is much better to look at. It works with his MMA background very well. The t-shirt with the design meant to replace the tattoo he had in 5 coupled with the open hoodie makes for a fun look! And let's not leave out his forearms, one of his most recognizable traits.
His gameplay is pretty fun. I've found myself playing him more. He's a simple character to get down, being very easy for beginners to pick up. But at the same time, there's some depth to him. Here's him preforming one of the greatest comebacks in the past few years on the biggest stage of fighting games. I saw this live. Jaw on the floor. I wanna get good at him so bad now. His upbeat playful attitude makes for a character meant for the type of person looking to steamroll their opponents with a big dumb smile on their face. Chances are that the smile on his face will be wider.
Luke has shaped up to be one of The Dudes of all time. He's a walking definition of a gamble. Capcom took a huge one with him and when it look like it wasn't going well at the start, he's now well beloved through the efforts of the voice actor, who loves him just as much.
I think that through his journey, Luke is going to grow and evolve with the rest of the cast. I think one day, he's gonna be a respected and accomplished old master. But right now? He's gonna do him.
Let's go back to the voice actor. Aleks Le. This guy's efforts over the past few years have turned the perception of this character around entirely. Even going as far to implement it in his voice work between games.
He's been making memes and has been working with talented people online to make all sorts of content to really show the world who luke really is. This guy has a real passion for his character that i'm starting to see more and more VAs freely express and i love it all. What he's done for Luke and what Luke has done for him will be studied somewhere.

so i said i might explain my voices designs and i decided now that i'm calmed down a bit that i'm gonna do that now
i know a lot of you won't be interested so i'm putting it under a cut
for hero, i designed him after the "beginner hero in a JRPG" staple. i've seen a lot of people designing him after a more experienced hero, but if you've seen his personality he does not act like anyone with experience. he's very naive. so i designed him more after a beginner. also fun fact: under that shirt he's actually decently ripped, but you can't tell unless he takes it off.
for contrarian, i decided to design him with the idea of "asymmetry" in mind. and there's no cheated angles whenever i draw him, his bangs are always drawn with the longer one on that side of his face no matter which way he's facing. the very first thing i came up with was him having heterochromia though, that was a given.
for cheated, i decided to design him with a "rough" feeling, more towards him than anything. in my hc he has notoriously bad luck, hence the tiny scars on his arms. also, his t-shirt is blocked in the image, but it says "fuck off" and he actually has several t-shirts all with different rude slogans on them.
with smitten, the design element was pretty obvious. he's the dashing prince charming to the damsel's dainty princess. he also has more detailed eyes than the others to add to the "anime" feel of that route. i was debating giving him pink elements to contrast the blue of his outfit (and because he is the fruitiest straight guy ever) but nothing i thought of looked right so i scrapped that idea.
with paranoid it's hard to really explain what i was going for, but a smart outfit that was clearly put on in a rush just made sense for him. i absolutely knew he had to be both really tall and really skinny though.
with skeptic the vibe i was going for was "noir detective" but without the hat. he's also the only voice to wear glasses because of the symbolism that comes from giving a character glasses: a tool that literally helps you see clearly.
for hunted, he absolutely had to be the smallest of the voices. i gave him huge eyes both to contrast this and because it suited his reactive personality, but now that i look at it i realise they look kind of childish on him (maybe the other voices tease him for it or something lmao). for the outfit i was going for a mix of practicality and just whatever looked right for him. plus he's barefoot because in my hc he dislikes shoes.
now come on, stubborn HAD to be big and buff. it's kind of a rule in this fandom lmao. for his clothes i went simple. the sort of clothes you'd wear at the gym. i debated giving him scars but decided against it because cheated already had that going for him. maybe he has one huge scar across his chest that's only seen if he takes his shirt off.
broken's design is honestly the one i like the least because i can never get it right. i wanted him to look like a depressed basement dweller who doesn't even bother to look after himself, but it's surprisingly hard to draw. i even wanted to give him a proper beard but i don't know how to draw them, so i just gave him a five-o-clock shadow. i am proud of what i did with his eyes though.
for opportunist i made him fashionable and quirky-looking, inspired by the hosts at host clubs in japan (which are infamous for exploiting regulars, which suits him to a tee). i also gave him a mainly purple colour scheme because purple is often seen as a powerful but devious colour. also fun fact: he very rarely stops smiling in my hc, and when he does stop smiling you know shit's gotten real.
and for cold, i went a bit literal with his name and gave him a big coat and boots for all occasions. originally his hair was going to be white but i didn't like how it looked so i made it light brown instead. his eyes were the first thing i thought of when designing him. i like designing more robotic characters with the highlights in the middle of their eyes, and that was perfect for him.

Inspired by this post right here , have a post I'd like to call
Ranking how easy each linked universe link would be to cosplay!
1-5, 1 being hard, 5 being easy
Read more if you dare ~
First up to bat is Sky!
So there's a lot of ways to approach his outfit. I think his shirt, pants and boots could easily be thrifted. Earrings too probably. Hack up a green shirt and put it back together with some slits and there you go. His white undershirt seems pretty simple too, minus the blue, but I'll come back to that.
The red wrap+belt might be a tad more difficult, I could argue for making the red wrap out of a base or from scratch. The cape though, make that from scratch. Thrift some white bedsheets and make a simple cape. You've got a lot of options for his blue designs. Vinyl appliques, topstitch some blue fabric, paint, even embroidery if you're crazy (like me lol)
I don't think his wig would be... Terribly difficult? He's just got chin length hair and bangs. I just feel like it would be hard to get volume into it and keep it from looking flat and lifeless.
The chainmail is where I stop bc. I know nothing about chainmail in cosplays. How make it? I met a guy once who made his own chainmail by individually twisting metal wire around itself for each loop, and I think that is utterly insane. I embroider and I don't even have the patience for that. But I wouldn't know an easier way to do that so ¯\(°_o)/¯
Overall Sky gets a 4/5 his base outfit is pretty darn simple with some minimal sewing knowledge required if you want it 100 percent accurate. His cape would be fairly easy to paint, so maybe not a beginner cosplay, but not too hard!
Now Four (sword not included)
So Four's tunic is where a lot of the difficulty comes in (clearly lol). I could see fusing four shirts together, but I would be concerned about the way they would fit together being different patterns, different fabrics, ect ect. I would probably not bother and just make his tunic from scratch. If you want 1000 percent accuracy, you could make his tunic lace up in the front, which would look awesome but is out of my skill set lol. His hood I feel like would need a couple mock ups to get the right shape. His whole tunic actually. It's kinda dress like. The drape is important if ya feel me.
Other things I would make would be his weird belt, his kinestones, and his Ezlo bobble (don't want it to be too heavy or else it would drag down the hood, so no metal = harder to thrift) For his earring I would probably dye a plastic feather.
Now his tunic would require quite a bit of embroidery, which sounds very fun to me, but a nightmare to many others I'm sure.
His wig would be pretty simple, but again I feel like it would be hard to make look good, especially with the headband. I'm not really a wig person so I wouldn't know though.
As for easy things, his tights, boots, and undershirt would be pretty simple to thrift or cobble together 👌
Overall Four gets a 2/5. Definitely not the easiest out there. There are ways you could make it easier on yourself, but there's quite a few skills you need to even start.
It's time for Time! (Kaepora Gaebora not included)
Oh Time buddy where do I even start...
Let's start with the easy stuff. His underclothes are super simple. Just black turtleneck and black pants. Thrift em, easy.
We've discussed how much I don't know about chainmail, so I'm choosing to ignore that. The boots I think depend on how much you care for accuracy. Brown boots are easy to come by. This particular style? Not so much. I've only ever modified shoes via paint so I wouldn't know all that much here.
With time's wig, I think the biggest thing would be getting his bangs right. I think using that combing backwards technique would work well, but I haven't used it so idk
Ok ok let's address the elephant in the room. I have no idea how to make armor. I know there's a lot of different methods, I've never used any of them, I don't know. Armor isn't necessarily gonna be harder than embroidery, but my complete lack of knowledge might tank time's score a bit.
For time I'm gonna give a 1/5. You gotta know quite a bit of cosplay stuff for this guy. I've done about four cosplays now, and I look at him and shudder in fear. Do Time if you're good with armor and chainmail.
Let's go downfall boys, starting with Legend (seasons rod not included)
I think legend's might be one of the most fun (for me lol) I could easily see both his tunics starting as thrifted bases which you hack up to fit the design a bit more. If you wanna be lazy, just find a blue beanie for his hat lol. If not, it's just a standard link hat but blue.
For his shoes, basically find some brown books and add some feathers. For his weird belt maybe buy a Hufflepuff scarf 😆. His bracket and rings could be super fun to thrift and modify if you're into that.
Now, admittedly, you would have to embroider stuff for legend, which hikes up the difficulty a lot lol. But whoopsie ¯\_()_/¯
I think his wig would be super fun. I don't know much about dying wigs, but this could be a fun project to learn about it bc it's such a small, low stakes section of his hair.
Overall, Legend gets a 3/5. The required embroidery makes things difficult, and modifying some bases to fit could be a bit hard, but overall seems like a super fun cosplay to put together.
The hero of Hyrule!
Ok so I feel like a lot of this outfit could be thrifted and modified. Just buy the pants, find a brown shirt and add yellow accents, maybe tear the sleeves off a green shirt, dip the neckline, and open the bottom up. Not too bad. I could see the boots being easy too. The gloves is where I'm not sure on. I've never actually made gloves bc I'm not good at sewing tiny, form fitting things. So I'm kinda ¯\(°_o)/¯
I think his potions could be fun to make. Of course, he doesn't have them in the comic, but hey it could add some depth to the costume. Just buy some glass bottles and line the insides with different paint colors. Could be a fun afternoon.
I'm not really sure where to start with his wig. Fluffy wigs are hard to make fluffy as far as I'm aware. Synthetic hair tends to lay quite flat. But I've seen ppl curl them, I know it's possible, but I don't really know how. So this is gonna be a "do your own research" thing.
Overall, debating between 4 or 5/5 for Hyrule. I think his getup is as hard as you make it really. If you go all out in accuracy, probably a 4. If not, a chill 5. Probably the simplest you'll get from the lu boys.
Child timeline with Twilight!
Not the chainmail 😭 we've established I simply do not know. I am actively ignoring it. Anyways, his under clothes are just white/cream pants and shirt, easy, thrift store. His tunic could be pretty simple, just take a green Tshirt, cut some slits, and transfer a dark green sleeve from another shirt and boom you got twilight tunic. The wrap wouldn't be to hard, basically the same as sky's so I'm just gonna move on.
I think if you don't wanna go to hard, his boots are easy, just get brown boots, thrift stores my beloved. But, on the other hand, twi's a cowboy, his boots gotta be intricate! I don't know much about shoes so I couldn't say how but y'know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Twilights hair is basically the same as Time's in the bang's swoop being important. I think you could do it with a tutorial on wig styling 👍
So his wolf pelt... I'm not quite sure what to think. I know they make fabric that mimics fur, but the idea of letting that furry monstrosity near my sewing machine is giving me chills. I would have to clean it out after ever seam. I dunno man I'm afraid of that fur 😆
Let's give twilight a... 3/5? I'm really not sure what to do with his chainmail and wolf hoodie, but the rest of him doesn't seem too terrible. Basic sewing knowledge needed
The best timeline adult timeline with Wind!
Ok I lied when I said Hyrule was as simple as we were gonna get. Wind is challenging for that spot. Let's break this down. He's got a greenish undershirt, orange capris, and black booties. Thrift em.
Like four, most his difficulty comes in the tunic. But unlike four, you've got a lot of options. For legend and four, I only mentioned embroidery for their tunics because I don't know if other methods would look good in such small details. but with sky and wind, you can basically do whatever you want! Alter a blue shirt (or maybe dress with the length of his tunic) to fit the neckline and slit. Then, for the details, you could do embroidery (you're crazy, but sure), white fabric topstitched on (mostly worry about the curves), vinyl (again, you're crazy, but sure), even paint (underrated option in my opinion)!
His wig seems pretty easy, again just getting it to be fluffy is the issue. And that's one I can't help you with lol.
You could basically stop there, but if you want some finer details, the spoils bag would be a fun felt project, his swirl belt buckle seems like a job for polymer clay and paint, and I think a bead + gold wires and some kind of pink see through sheet could make a very cute joy pendant.
Another case of "as easy as you make it" let's give wind a more solid 4/5 since it's maybe slightly harder than Hyrule.
Nebulous timeline placement with Warriors!
Hhhhhhhhh I'm crying what. Chainmail, armor, and custom shoes???? Just kill me now.
Ok ok so we all know how I feel about chainmail and armor, I'm gonna leave those alone. He's got the same under clothes situation as twilight just white shirt and pants. His tunic I could see as a modified dress or very large shirt. Make the v neck the deepest v in the world lol.
He has... So many belts. I've not been mentioning belts unless they're weird bc, again, thrift store. But I. I think you're gonna buy out the whole store's worth of belts my goodness. But yes, you can modify belts to fit the areas he's wearing them.
His amazing scarf cape kind of scares me. It's too beautiful, it relys so much on the drape, and I am but a poor soul on the internet. Buuuut I could see maybe a deep blue knit fabric, or even just blue bedsheets at, again, the thrift store. I dunno what the orange is, if it's embroidery or what. I'd find a reference of it, but it's midnight and I've already spent way too long on this lol
The shoes... Like ok they're cool conceptually with them being a reference to historical army shoes. But you're not gonna find those out and about. Luckily, I think if you took some brown boots and did some cut outs in the back, you could get a similar affect.
Finally, his wig also kind of scares me bc his hair is so nice, but this one seems simple with some bangs styling required 👍
Overall warriors is getting a 1/5. I don't think he'd be as hard to make as time, but definitely harder than four with the shoulder armor, customized tunic, cape, and customized shoes.
Last but certainly not least, the Wild child!
So wild is basically a cartoonized version of his botw self, and there's plenty of botw link tutorials out there if you want some more advice. But! He doesn't seem too bad. He's got the white underclothes deal, easy to thrift. his tunic could just be blue with your choice of white applique like wind. You could be extra and do the dualing colors. Can't remember if wild keeps that design element in the comic itself, but it's neat! Basically Frankenstein two shirts together. The only concern would be how the different fabrics interact and how the differences in pattern and sizing interact. But with only 2 pieces it shouldn't be too bad.
His boots are as simple as you make them. If you want the orange flap, I could see it made out of some wiggly foam and painted. His arm wraps are basically any grey fabric in strips so I'll leave that to your disgression.
His cape doesn't seem all that hard, your choice of applique on the back, make it out of a simple cape pattern, basic sewing knowledge maybe required.
Honestly my mind concern is his wig since long wigs are always such a pain. But styling wise, looks pretty simple.
Overall, wild gets maybe a 3/5? About on par with legend, maybe a bit harder. Or maybe not necessarily harder than legend, but more effort.
Bonus Malon bc I love her
Another case of as hard as you make it. I don't think it would be too hard to find a pink skirt and white shirt. If you want it too be accurate, you'd have to do some finagling, but it wouldn't be too bad. Her waist wrap is similar to sky, and whatever that brown drape from her belt is doesn't seem to hard. Her yellow cape thing could honestly just be like a square of yellow fabric, it's all in how it's tied.
Shes another, simple shoes, unless you consider this is a cowgirl, they gotta be good wink wonk. but not actually, make it as hard as you want lol.
Honestly, her wig is what scares me most. She's got the time bangs and the long hair.
Let's give malon a 4 or 5/5 like Hyrule. As easy as you make it! Quite a range you can get while still having it look good.
#i didn't mention any facial markings bc makeup is not my strong suit at all#and you could probably do them with face paint#anyways im going to sleep ksdnksndj#linked universe#linkeduniverse#loz#legend of zelda#malon#oot#ocarina of time#link#time#sky#four#legend#hyrule#warriors#twilight#wind#wild#cosplay#long post#cosplay plans

So op you're not the only angry by this person (obviously, just look at the notes) but I still have things I want to add in my own reblog of this.
As an artist my art is now reduced to "consuming content" due to using bases, references, and taking inspiration from ANYTHING. I can't look up references from pinterest, that's media, I can't look up any tips on youtube thats just "content".
I write, same thing, using any common trope or writing prompts is automatically consuming content before even starting.
Learning to play my guitar? Oh no that's media consumption cause I don't have any of my own songs made/still learning and again youtube is "just content" so tutorials on it "don't count".
My dolls? Media, every one.
Singing? Same as guitar, media consumption.
Archery? Well I'd need to learn how to- oop MEDIA. CONTENT.
Making clay- NOOO NOT THINGS FROM MEDIAA.
Making a puppet or fursuit? Those are based off of content made by others so no, all content and media yet again.
Basically if we take "observable media" to the most basic forms possible most hobbies "don't count" or won't if you're a beginner. Using any kind of reference or tutorial immediately bars you from doing anything outside of "media consumption". Is the poll supposed to be taken this literally? I don't know, it's too vague believe it or not. Because as I said unless you've made your own songs from SCRATCH singing and instrument playing will automatically count as media consumption. Making art and writing whether it's fandom or not will be counted as content consumption. As I said playing with dolls or collecting them is media consumption or content consumption if it's someone's 3d printed dolls (cause those are promoted on tiktok as content). Making clay anything based on anything is automatically media consumption, even as inspiration. A lot of hobbies are barred to a certain extent, even painting (Bob Ross vids are content) and gardening (looking up tutorials or inspi for yor set up).
I get this poll was yet another "touch grass" kinda thing trying to get people "off their devices" but guess what? It's still fucking stupid. If you're going outside for a walk and see a vehicle of anytype, you just took in content (vehicles have ads made about them we see everywhere on media, remember), or if you see a store, or someone (including yourself) wearing a graphic t-shirt that's media consumption.
Are we supposed to be walking around with blindfolds not listening to anything except maybe bird calls and other animals? I get the whole "log off for a while and take in real life" but again saying it's media consumption comes with certain materials as counting many wouldn't immediately think of.
Am I allowed to have a cup of coffee with a mug that has a cartoon design on it pr is that media consumption? Am I allowed to sit on my patio chairs I got from Facebook or whatever? Am I allowed to color in a coloring book? (No that's media incarnate actually.) Am I allowed to enjoy my bonfire? Does using newspaper in it diminish the whole "no media" aspect?
All this to say fuck off with saying media consumption is a "problem" or moral failing. All this says is you (the poll) have no sense of care to the entire scope of your question. Does it suck media is this ever present? Yes it does, but seemingly putting the blame on the average person is disgusting. People enjoy popular things on media, people enjoy media, and that's fine. Humans have existed for centuries due to our companionship and shared inspirations. We show each other our "content" to share and inspire each other, there is nothing wrong with that.
is the interaction with art and the culture of expression considered consuming content. is reading poetry or going to an art museum considered consuming content. is listening to music considered consuming content. if watching sports is consuming content does going to a game constitute content consumption? is the implication of this poll that an accusatory finger is being pointed at you, the media consumer, suggesting that you need to interact with something other than art? how did watching a film devolve into “consuming” “content” rather than an honest interaction between a storyteller and a fellow human being? is reading a book the same type of hobby as watching tiktok? what is the purpose of dividing the ways we interact with the world into categories like this?
#tw swearing#sorry to get so heated I just generally hated this and some of the comments#media consumption isn't evil#content creation and sharing isn't evil

DTF Transfer Sheets: Everything You Need to Know for High-Quality Printing in the UK
In the world of custom printing, DTF transfer sheets are becoming increasingly popular for their versatility, ease of use, and outstanding results. Whether you're a small business owner looking to create custom clothing, a creative designer bringing your ideas to life, or simply someone who loves personalised gifts, DTF transfer sheets offer an affordable and effective solution. If you’re based in the UK and curious about DTF transfer sheets, this guide will provide you with everything you need to know.
What are DTF Transfer Sheets?
DTF transfer sheets are pre-printed designs or patterns on special PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) films, ready to be heat-transferred onto fabrics. Unlike traditional printing methods, these sheets make it simple to transfer high-quality, vibrant designs to a wide range of fabrics with minimal effort.
The process typically involves the following steps:
Design Creation: Your artwork or design is digitally created using software.
Film Printing: The design is printed onto a DTF-compatible PET film using a specialised printer with DTF inks.
Powder Application: An adhesive powder is applied to the printed film to enable a strong bond with the fabric.
Curing: The powder is cured using a heat source to ensure it adheres to the ink.
Heat Press Application: The cured transfer sheet is placed on the fabric, and heat and pressure are applied using a heat press machine.
Peeling the Film: After cooling, the PET film is peeled off, leaving a vibrant, durable design.
DTF transfer sheets are widely used for creating custom clothing, branded merchandise, and personalised accessories, making them perfect for businesses and individuals alike.
Benefits of DTF Transfer Sheets
If you’re exploring different printing techniques, DTF transfer sheets offer a range of benefits that make them stand out:
1. Ease of Use
DTF transfer sheets are incredibly user-friendly, even for beginners. Once the design is printed and prepared, all you need is a heat press machine to transfer it onto the fabric. This eliminates the need for complex setups or screen-printing knowledge.
2. Compatibility with Various Fabrics
One of the biggest advantages of DTF transfer sheets is their versatility. They work seamlessly with a wide range of materials, including:
Cotton
Polyester
Blends
Canvas
Leather
Silk
Denim
This makes DTF an ideal solution for diverse applications, from t-shirts and hoodies to tote bags, hats, and jackets.
3. Vibrant, High-Quality Prints
DTF transfer sheets deliver sharp, vibrant designs with exceptional colour accuracy and detail. The quality of the print ensures that your designs stand out, whether they are intricate patterns or bold logos.
4. Durability
DTF prints are known for their durability. The adhesive powder ensures a strong bond between the ink and fabric, resulting in designs that resist cracking, peeling, and fading. They can endure multiple washes without losing their vibrancy.
5. Cost-Effective for Small and Large Orders
Whether you need a single custom design or a large batch, DTF transfer sheets are a cost-effective option. This makes them ideal for small businesses, print-on-demand services, or anyone needing short runs of custom-printed items.
6. Faster Turnaround
DTF printing requires minimal setup, and the transfer process is quick. This enables businesses to produce orders rapidly, offering faster delivery times to customers.
How to Use DTF Transfer Sheets Effectively
Using DTF transfer sheets is a straightforward process, but following the right steps ensures optimal results:
Prepare the Design: Ensure your artwork is high resolution and ready for printing. Use design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or Photoshop for best results.
Print the Design: Use a DTF-compatible printer and specialised DTF inks to print your design onto the PET film.
Apply the Adhesive Powder: While the ink is still wet, apply the adhesive powder evenly over the printed design. Shake off any excess powder.
Cure the Powder: Heat the transfer sheet using a curing oven, heat gun, or heat press machine to activate the adhesive powder.
Heat Press the Transfer: Position the transfer sheet on the fabric, cover it with a heat-resistant sheet, and press using a heat press machine at around 160-180°C for 15-20 seconds.
Cool and Peel: Allow the sheet to cool before peeling it off. This step ensures the adhesive sets properly and the design adheres firmly.
