   ⌦ A HAND RESTED upon his own chest. Eyes were wide with shock, slowly processing the moment he entered this world -- he died -- and came back. It was an odd sensation, but welcoming. The brief moments he rested in the afterlife, all he remembered was a familiar voice before awakening.                 "Shadow?" 

        Collecting himself, the black hedgehog examined the world around him. This . . . absolutely looked like a video game. It didn't have that same energy as one, however. It felt off, yet he couldn't place a finger on it. The ultima kept his distance from this Joshua person. A stranger who had been bothering Pomni and wanting her out because it wasn't safe (which, understandably so); though he had an itch of something. He knew something about Pomni that the hedgehog did not. Wanting to return her to her own home, to a place not even the jester remembered. Shadow had to play dumb to get the information he desired. Even though he recently had Pomni enter his life, some part of him did not want her to go. 

           "You believe in miracles? You're shit out of luck if that's the case," He responded, now resting his arms across his chest. What a gruff exterior the hedgehog had; especially with someone being so short. He had one idea; it's how he got here. The rings. Though, he had to play this carefully. Who knew if this guy was going to use their idea to break into the multiverse. Someone . . . somewhere within it, a white hedgehog would have a fit. 

          "Do you even know how she ended up here?"

Schemes of the old Main Characters!

At the height of Disgaea 7's popularity, one particular Overlord wasn't too thrilled. Once again, he had been snubbed from the starring role! He was the 1st Main Character, how dare they ignore him!

So, as always, it was time to fall back on his most infamous scheme...take the Main Character role by force But this time, Laharl would need some help. Which is why Laharl was in the depths of Evil Academy...

"Tch...normally I wouldn't give you the time of day, Mao, but the time has come for drastic measures! I need your 'help' getting rid of the cast of Disgaea 7! Or at least that fool Fuji so I can take the Main Character spot! In return I'll...uh...I dunno, I guess you can experiment on Fuji for whatever you want. Give him drill arms or whatever." Not that Laharl cared what happened to him, anyhow. And of course Laharl wasn't gonna offer the spotlight to Mao either, he didn't wanna share!

Even as the words had spilled from his lips, he was surprised at just how much he'd meant them - after all, they'd only been roommates for a little while, it was quite a big leap to say something like you'd always be there for someone and that they would always have you. Hell, Yosuke could very easily rebut that Ryuji couldn't make any promises or scoff at it - even though he sensed Yosuke was far too kind to actually do so. Likewise, he could have very well just been saying it without meaning it - a lot of people said things without really meaning them - promising to be your side or promising to stay in touch, only to drift apart when the going got tough - it was one thing to let someone vent to you every so often and it was entirely another thing to promise you'd always be there for someone as for better or for worse, the other person could end up taking that promise very seriously and end up incredibly hurt had he not entirely meant what he was saying.

Though, thing was...he had meant what he was saying, crazily enough. Soppy and corny words didn't come naturally to him and had it been the other way around, he might have been skeptical at such a promise, sincere and heartfelt as it may have seemed. People in his experience...didn't tend to stick around for the long haul, but with Yosuke, he...felt - or rather, he hoped, that he was different. "You get me too, man - I know I can always talk to you," He acknowledges this with a nod. "I know you've got my back as well and would listen to me if I was in trouble," This much he knew for a fact, even if he couldn't say it.

"Heh, well now that you've gone and given me permission to," He gives a playful toothy grin at this, trying not to flush at how close Yosuke was, feeling his hand on his shoulder. "Maybe I'm such a chill roommate 'cause I got paired up with a pretty damn great roomie, myself," He couldn't exactly go giving himself all of the credit here - though Yosuke's kind words did bring an ever increasing flush to his cheeks. "Maybe with another roommate I would've been an absolute bastard..." He says it half jokingly but given his own volatile and emotional nature, it very well could have been true. "I'd say I'm the lucky one - from the first time I stepped into that dorm room, I really felt at home and welcomed with you - if I'm chill and awesome, it's 'cause of you, man..."

Really, the more he spoke the more he realized that he wasn't just saying these things for the sake of saying them - he'd never been a guy to just blindly pay lip service but he'd also tried to avoid being overly complimentary and flowery, lest it come off as insincere or fake - two things he personally hated - but...the more he said, the more it all just seemed to spill out from him, naturally. He did mean all of this, he was grateful for Yosuke, he was lucky to have him, Yosuke was...someone important to him, someone that he was beginning to realize...gave him little smiles and butterflies in his stomach, even if he didn't entirely understand why just yet. He just knew that he...wanted to be around Yosuke, as much as he could, as long as...Yosuke would let him be by his side.

"U-Uh, yeah right, some grub...!" Jerking his head up and down quickly, his eyes widen as he realizes just how late it probably is. "Uh, well Big Bang Burger is open all night, yeah...? Unless you want to go somewhere else...!"

Kayden and Shiro are also people who are everything to me. We all became friends so quickly and I don't regret it for a minute. We talk to each other every day and it means so much to me to have friends like that. Because sometimes on days when I don't want to bother anyone and reach out, you two are always there to pick me up and know when something's wrong. I appreciate and love our friendship. I couldn't imagine my life now without you two. I would do anything for you guys, no questions asked. There's no TMI between us and I love being comfortable with y'all to be funny deranged individuals together. ❤️

“I’m home!” The blonde called out while opening the door to the Hanamura house. With the weather slowly becoming hotter and hotter, him and other first-years wondered why they haven’t switched to the Summer uniforms yet. He still wore the black Yasogami jacket that he decorated with his iconic rose. The brown book bag he carried was a hand-me-down from Yosuke.

His head turned towards the living room and found someone he hasn’t seen in months. The college-bound brunette was only visible to him in video calls and photographs now. Merely seeing him in the flesh for one second empowered the blonde with a jolt of energy that made him drop his book bag and rush towards his brother as soon as he could.

“YOSUKE! You’re back!” He was running so fast that it looked like an oncoming tackle. It was the Teddie Rush & Hug technique! Yosuke was held in place by loving arms he couldn’t fight off.

“I thought you were coming back tomorrow morning!”

if i had to choose, who would i roleplay? Honestly, I probably should have wolf link on the list for an animal crossing verse; I just always misplace any icons that work; i think i misplaced the manga icons of him, and most other wolf icons're kinda exclusively silly. I'm probably also like, capable of playing Ganondorf, always thought he was hella hot, villain muses just often don't stick when things are so hot+cold.

"M-Me hiding secrets...?!" He blinks, jabbing a finger at his chest in confusion - clearly this guy was way too sharp for his own good. For once, he hoped that his bumbling obliviousness could work to his own favour. "C-C'mon, as if I could keep a secret for too long...! I practically blurt out everything that's on my mind - if I had a secret, you'd know it already...!" He couldn't even say this was an exaggeration - as with any other secret, he probably would have slipped up already.
