20/100 - I’m slacking so much on my consistency for 100 days but life is MANIC right now so don’t judge me! SFX

Ive done a lot of interesting SFX pieces, and was fortunate enough to land paying jobs at places such as scaresville. So I really enjoyed jasmins work and watching someone else complete it at a higher skill set was really interesting. She used a lot of new materials id never come across but I found it really intriguing watching her mix the skin imitater with latex on the back of her hand.

The video was good to watch as matching peoples skin tones for makeup can be difficult, but is key to creating realistic looks. I use Vaseline and flour to create a synwax, then add a foundation to the mixture in match with the models tone of skin. But this can be awkward or expensive if you can't source cheap makeup.

In the video they mix platsil gel with thinthix thickener and mixed to create a thick paste, which is then added to build up the makeup directly onto the skin. They use pigment powders and silicon to match the colours to create a realistic fleshy tone.
