Somewhat belated entry for day 14 of @symbruary - Favorite fanworks! 

If I tried to do a pic for all of the amazing, wonderful fics I’ve read, I would never get anything else done ever :’D So I tried to narrow it down to the ones that have stuck with me for months and months after first reading them. Been meaning to draw fanart for these for ages, so this was a great opportunity!

Slow-burn SymbiOT3 fic that I absolutely adore. I love how it takes Eddie and Flash a while to even see each other face to face! There’s so much drama and fun dialogue, and Andi is an absolute gem. The plot itself is super interesting, and I can’t wait to see how it interweaves with Flash and Eddie getting to know each other better.

Yet another SymbiOT3, this is the first in the Peachy series! The series as a whole is wonderful, and the character development for all three is beautiful. Especially Flash coming to terms with gender identity stuff! The series always gives me such a warm cozy feeling reading it.

To be completely 100% honest, I did not care at all about Carnage as a character before reading this fic. Now I fucking love him and his rat-bastard self. AND RED, OH MY GOD RED. This fic has one of my favorite characterizations of Sleeper, and is an absolutely hysterical ride. Even with the funny setup, tho, it still does a great job of hammering home the sadder scenes with amazing skill.

SymbiOT3, but this time with Movie!Eddie! The characterizations in this fic are fantastic, and I especially love how much it delves into Flash’s head (the angst is delicious). The pacing is phenomenal, and the progression of Eddie and Flash’s relationship feels incredibly natural in a way that makes me feel for them and their beloved goo alien when anything goes wrong.

All of these are fics that I love to go back to for inspiration, or just a fun time! I highly recommend checking out all of these wonderful authors and their other works as well! 

Obviously there are also fantastic artists in our fandom ( @d-erm, @owlapinart, and @freedomconvicted to name a few!) I’d list them all but others have wonderfully done that already, so I suggest perusing the rec lists I’ve reblogged because we have so many incredible people providing quality Venom content <3

it's like. almost 2 am for me right now! SO i'll ramble on here because I spent all day resting off a migraine and then weathering through my evening class, and i always feel kinda bad for not explaining why im not posting art??? <- habit I gotta break. This is my blog and ill reblog as much as I want. I have a sort system for a reason.

I think as somone who struggles with sleep, making my blorbos get some rest is is like. when I enjoy making art the most, especially fanart and ship art. I mean, I do it to my ocs but not as often (nor do it post it).

I was doodling to keep my mind off the pain and I got an idea for the venom war symbiote squad + symbiot3 of a "gangs all here and NOT fighting" sleepover art but we'll see if I can execute it the way i see it in my head. to be clear I'm really enjoying venom war so far but like. what if!! what if they got to be domestic goo instead of violent identity crisis goo!!!

Picture it: Flash's apartment (likely), scene is his couch, Viewer POV is the TV. Eddie, asleep on on end with Flash leaned up against him, Venom stretched across their shoulders. Andi's on the other end, curled up and Sleeper is on her lap/on the sofa between her and flash, cat form. On the floor in front of them, are Normie, Dylan and Bren, in sleeping bags with pillows and blankets and i'd probably back each kid's sleeping bag the color of their symbiotes. I'd maybe figure out how to have eastereggs of the others in there somewhere. Would Peter be there? They were probably all watching a movie but all fell asleep long before it was over. Idk ideas are welcome in my notes lol.

I need to start something new because im at a slight impasse with my morning routine comic bc I can't get the body angles quite right and its bothering me.

It's been a hot minute, but if you need an excuse to ramble about fics then I would love to hear about Dust to Dust! Which characters were most fun to write, are there any particular scenes that you look forward to writing, what are your plans for the boys?

Also, what would you most like to see fanart of for DtD or other symbiote stuff?

Hi friend! I'm still thinking about that wonderful symbiot3 piece you drew for me that I look at a normal amount (every week at least). And I definitely relish the opportunity to talk about DTD... which let's see if I can push out another chapter before I hit a full 12 months since the last update, lol.

Honestly my favorite characters to write have been Dr. Steven and of course Andi Benton. Andi is a given, but Dr. Steven was my favourite person to come out of the Costa run. He's just so wonderful. I love his unashamed earnestness, while still being very pragmatic in many ways. I really love him, and I love any excuse to write him into a scene. I'm excited to write him checking in with Flash, Eddie, and the Symbiote intermittently throughout the rest of the story.

Aside from the obvious things that I've set in motion as of last May's update, I have a bunch of little like... B and C plots I want to try and string together. There's a bunch of supporting cast characters from both Venom and Spider-Man comics that I'm excited to bring on board, and a couple that have cameoed in early chapters that I'll bring back. Obviously the last chapter introduced Harry Osborn Lyman to the cast again, which is mostly self-indulgent, but I also want to weave (get it? weave..? i'll stop) Peter into the story a little more as well. Like it or not he IS a huge part of Venom's story - every Venom - and in particular I want to develop how he will have to... hmm... shall we say... come to terms with Flash and Eddie.... you know...... ;)

Like. He will figure it out. Perhaps unfortunately, for Mr. Peter "I am upset when we are not about me" Parker. But he'll also get over it, because the alternative is losing Flash forever.

As far as fanart? HMMMM I mean I guess really any scene where Eddie and Flash kind of get up in each others' faces, it's a very funny mental image for me. Couple of tough guys. It's about the homoeroticism. Or actually just anything with Andi. No more Eddie/Flash this story is now all about Miss Andrea Benton. They don't matter it's all about Mania babyyyyyyy!!!!

Okay it is very late so I will call this good but thank you!!!!!! for indulging me and letting me go off about all this. My readers are the best~ <3 <3 <3 <3
