Lance Altea - Male - Omega - Mother - Paladin, Prince, Heart of Voltron. Database Info on Lance: Lance is the youngest child and only son to King Alfor of Planet Altea and the only sibling to Allura of Altea, Lance was kidnapped as a child by a Galra commander named Yjok and was taken to a not known planet called Earth, there for 10,000 years Lance went through much torture and abuse after he was taken from his family as a 5 year old child. His supposed brother named Luis had raped him when he was 14 years old making him produce two children, they are 5 months apart, one boy and one girl that Luis then lied to his wife that they were from a surrogate while Lance was just a toy to him. Being an Omega gave him the ability to create children with his own body however, Luis had taken advantage of his heat twice and later had given birth too his first two children.

Lance, because of how he was raised from 5 years old, is short for his age at a standing 5'4, while other males are higher in height varying from 5'7 to near 6'3. Because of not being allowed to eat his growth became stunted and he did not grow much even with the small amounts of food he would eat just to prevent his cheek bones to show through his skin. His is also extremely skittish, doesn't like loud noises and flinches when someone comes into contact with him, this is the effects of PTSD he obtained as a child that followed him into his teens. Gradually his bad habits went under once he was surrounded by caring people but ultimately fell back into bad habits when he was once again kidnapped by Prince Lotor of the Galra Empire and raped once more and fell back into his old habits.

Lance considers 3 females his sisters, his biological sister Allura, his mother figure sister Veronica McClain and his last sister being Rachel McClain. He has four children, his first two being because of Luis and his last being because of Lotor, his youngest daughter was from his mate who is an Alpha, despite his bad past with Alphas, he doesn't consider Keith in that list of his bad past. He has one child that is by consent while his other three weren't by consent, but he still loves all his kids equally.

His mate is Keith, and he somehow resurrected his dead sister, Veronica from being fatally stabbed and then reunited with her in space due to both of their surprises. Lance achieved his dream of being among the stars but in reality, he just returned back to the feeling he had before he was kidnapped by Yjok.

Lance has a few scars that are the results of burns, his back was burned a bit from the explosion he prevented Coran from getting hurt but was injured in the process. His right arm at the top of his bicep, was burned by a blow torch and the same to his left thigh. He also has a few breakages, but he makes sure he doesn't overwork himself to the point he causes another breaking in his bones. He also hates being babied, Veronica used to do when he was little, and she came home from one of her many jobs and ended up finding him injured everytime.

His kids rank from oldest to youngest: Sylvio is his oldest son, Nadia and Mela are the middle children and Cole is his youngest son, however there was a time difference between Cole and Mela. At 7 months old, Mela was the oldest of Cole but because of the three year time difference, Cole who is the youngest became the second middle child and Mela the youngest.

Lance is the heart of Voltron and managed to unlock something no paladin had ever even hoped to achieve, he can feel all of the lions and the lions can feel him. They have a connection like no other, it's different from pilot to lion, it's more soul focused. If he could so much as think about it, he can see through a lions eyes and call to the lions if he much as wished.

Because he was kidnapped, Allura was forced to accept the title of next ruler of Altea but she didn't want that, she was fine with being just a princess while supporting her brother to the best of her abilities however once he recovered his memories after going to Oriande, Allura and their advisor worked a full Quintant (Day) to change everything back to the way it was before Yjok had gotten his hands on him.

Lance considers team Voltron, a certain amount of rebels (Including Matt and Veronica) and a certain amount of Blades his family.

Nadia knows that she should feel relaxed about this because everything is going smoothly, but she can’t.

Just like they discussed, they pretended to be eating breakfast when suddenly Sofía “got a terrible stomachache”. And then she was being accompanied to the infirmary by her dad and them both. And then they “suddenly” had the brilliant idea that what would make Sofía feel better is to have one of the Lion plushies that uncle Lance made for them and they offered to go pick it up. And then Adam told them that he would call for someone to go with them, to what they answered with a “don’t worry, we know this place” and left, to now be on their way to the Hangars.

The problem with this plan, according to Nadia, was that it had too many “and then” for it not to be up to pure luck. So far everyone had reacted and everything had gone just how they planned, but what if it suddenly didn’t? They should’ve prepared more…

As the oldest, she should’ve asked more questions. But Sofía was growing desperate and a desperate Sofía was a reckless one.

To be entirely honest, their whole plan had been 50% improvisation, with Sofía telling them “I’m gonna be sick and you’ll have your chance” more or less ten seconds before grabbing her stomach and starting to cry.

“We’re here”

Nadia looked at her brother and then at the Hangar’s entrance. On a normal day, it looked big, but now it was huge.

She nodded.

“Let’s go, then”.

They made their way to the Black Lion, completely ignoring the others, something unusual since they always greeted all of them, Red and Blue in particular.

The Bayards weren’t hard to find.

In fact, everything at the Hangar was easy to find and even easier to steal. Probably because they thought that no one would want to steal something from Voltron, the Universe being at stake and all, right?

Wrong.

Nadia went to grab the bayard.

“Wait!” Sylvio yelled and startled her.

“Sylvio” Don’t do that!”

“Sorry, but is just… they teleport!” What?

“What?”

“The Bayards! They teleport! We’ve seen Uncle Lance do that, remember?”

Oh, right…

“And you just thought of that now?!”

“Hey, it didn’t occur to you either!”

She groaned.

“Don’t fight me! We don’t have time for this!”.

He huffed and Nadia looked at the Black Lion.

Sylvio was right. The Bayards teleported when summoned. And if Keith summoned the Bayard and it responded, all of this would’ve been for nothing.

But they were here now, and honestly, who knew if they would ever have another chance like this.

Probably not.

She looked at her brother.

“We’ll take it”

“What?!”

“We’ll take it, Sylvio. We’re already here, and we won’t have another chance, so we’ll take it and deal with it”. Nadia stated, firm.

Sylvio gulped but nodded at the same time she took the Bayard.

“They’re taking too long” Adam said, sounding worried. “Maybe I should look for them-”

“Ugh” Sofía grabbed her stomach “Daddy, my stomach still hurts”. Under absolutely no circumstances should he –or anyone, for that matter– try to locate Nadia and Sylvio.

The distraction worked, as not even a second later Adam was by her side, his worry being redirected.

“Oh, sweetheart, you’re not feeling even a little bit better?” He asked, while running his hands through her hair.

“Not really...”

The door opened.

“We’re here!” Announced Sylvio.

“Yeah, sorry we took so long, but Sylvio couldn’t find his plushie because his room is a mess!”

“It’s not!”

“It’s too!”

“But did you get it?” Sofía asked. And she realized just a second too late that she sounded way more serious than she should, to be talking about a fabric Lion “...the plushie?” she added, just to be sure.

Nadia smiled and gave her both the Red and Blue plushies that they picked up on their way back.

“Don’t worry, we got it”.

Okay, now I’m curious: imagine Lance and Pidge going on their first date! How would their parents react? And how would chip react?

Oooh, that's an interesting one to think of. I'm going to assume you're thinking of VLD Lance and Pidge with Chip as her twin. If I'm wrong in assumption, I deeply apologize.

Well, let's see. Lance's parents, and even his siblings, would be excited. A smart lass like Pidge? Someone who makes Lance smile? Someone he has as both a dear friend and a love interest? She has to be wonderful. They would share their excitement with him and even call up relatives to gush about Lance's date and how they hope the two continue dating and stay together. Lance is most likely embarrassed by all of the gushing, but he also appreciates their support. His mother probably makes every excuse for Lance to invite Pidge over for meals, snacks, just to hang out, even asks if she's good with kids and have her join him in babysitting Nadia and Sylvio.

Pidge's parents would probably be supportive, too. Colleen would prod Pidge for details on the date. She would also fuss about Pidge's hair, what she wears, all the fun stuff hours ahead of the date when Pidge would insist that they're just going to a movie and a family diner, she doesn't need to be fancy or anything. In the end, Colleen wins and makes Pidge go in a dress with her hair done up. While supportive, Sam is also worried. This is his baby girl after all. And she's going on a date?! She's growing up so fast! He would want photos of the two before they leave, almost as if it were prom night or something. When Lance brings her home, he'd be waiting by the window or with security cameras to see if they kiss and hope they keep it innocent. It is, after all, their first date. Chip would especially be excited for Pidge, though he'd keep calm, too. He'd happily wait for Pidge to come home and stay up all night with her to talk about the date. Of course, he'd also wait with his phone all night just in case Pidge sends a distress call and needs to get out of the date ASAP.

Bonus, Veronica and Matt. They would spend their time teasing their siblings about dating. However, during the date, they may either be sneaking around to watch them, make sure things are going well. They're happy that their youngest siblings decided to take their relationship to the next level and start dating. However, they're also protective, ready to defend their sibling if the other breaks their heart for any reason. It would take a number of dates and sneaking in to observe before they finally stop. If Pidge doesn't notice them first and yell at Matt for spying.

I'll be honest, thinking of how dating would go and parental reactions isn't my best thing. I don't date and the best my mama did when my sister dated was either promise to curse the boyfriend or insult them, the jerks anyway, and dote on the one who was really nice and wonderful. So, I did my best thinking how others would be.

Pureza y rivalidad entre hermanos (Sibling Purity and Rivalry)

Pro #1: They’re always there to aid you/ It was 9:08 in the morning, and everyone had woken up. Abuela was making eggs for breakfast (here comes the weirder thing), Marco was screaming into a bowl for no reason, Luis, Lisa, and Rachel were dying laughing, Veronica was facepalming, and Nadia wasn’t even in the house. She was doing check-ups on her stuffed animals while Sylvio was riding his bicycle in circles. However 5 minutes in, Sylvio suddenly got a little ambitious and decided to try and run over a fist sized rock. He ran over the rock, but the tire caught on the edge and he was sent flying. He thanked his father silently for making sure he had his helmet on while he was flying. But his gratefulness was short lived after he plunged to the ground on his knees. He was met with a stinging pain in his right knee. He let out a choked sob and Nadia’s head swiveled over. “HERMANO!” She cried out, before grabbing her medical kit and running over to Sylvio. Sylvio was crying now, however everyone was too busy laughing at Marco’s stupidity and the doors and windows were closed. Hey, it was Autumn! Nadia had ran all the way over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Nadia? A-Ayuda por favor...” Sylvio whimpered. “Shh shh shh... voy a rociar algo en tu rodilla, podría picar... ‘kay?” Nadia said. “‘Kay, i g-guess...”. Nadia took a white bottle out of her kit and aimed it at the wound, she sprayed on the contents and Sylvio cried out in pain as the wound screamed at the liquid that was stinging like a million bees. Nadia quickly and carefully slapped on a band-aid (it was a Spongebob one). Sylvio calmed down and Maria opened the door, “Children! El desayuno esta listo!”. “Vamonos!” Sylvio said, cheering up a bit. Both siblings ran inside. “Uh, what happened?” Veronica said. “Its called sibling love!” Said Marco, before he threw the bowl across the room, thank goodness it was plastic.

Con #1: They can be annoying/ Sylvio was in the car with his 3 year old sister and his Tió Marco was at the wheel. They were heading home from the beach and Marco had volunteered to take them home while their Abuela and Abuelo drove home. Their parents were out at a soccer game and Nadia had thrown a temper tantrum because she wanted to go too. Sylvio could tell Nadia was still excited after their fun day, because she was still talking very quickly and giggling like she was telling her stuffed cat a secret. Sylvio was getting a little annoyed but he managed to keep his cool, until Tió Marco hit a pothole, Nadia jolted and her stuffed cat fell to the floor. She gasped and was silent for 5 minutes, Marco got worried so he looked behind himself and saw Nadia with shocked eyes, when he turned back around to the wheel, he was interrupted by Nadia’s high pitched screaming. “Okay! Okay! We’re making a stop at the gas station!” Marco quipped, panicked. Sylvio had to act fast, “That won’t be needed! She dropped her doll!” He said. “Okay, never mind...” Marco huffed. Nadia was crying now, Sylvio was pushed over the edge, he covered his ears and hissed like a cat. When they pulled in the driveway, Nadia got unbuckled and dove down into where her toy fell, she picked it up and held it to her chest, crowing in joy. Sylvio didn’t know how he didn’t scream at her on the way back, so he just kept his mouth shut and decided to not mention this to his parents. Marco slumped down on the couch and stayed silent, when Rachel came prancing in, she asked what happened, “You do not wanna know...” He said.

Pro #2: They comfort you/ Outside was a disaster, the wind was howling, palm trees were falling, and rain was pounding on the roof. The category 4 hurricane dubbed Gabriel was worse than the Serrano family thought. Gabriel had started flying over Cuba during dinner. Nadia was under her covers, cowering in fear, Sylvio was distracted by the radio, they were doing fine until the power went out, Nadia had squealed and started crying and Sylvio winced as he heard her fearful sobbing. “Hermana... its okay, nothing will hurt us...” Sylvio heard his Tia Veronica say to Tia Rachel. Sylvio had struggled over to Nadia and had wrapped her in a embrace, and started to sing Nadia’s favorite song from Coco, ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Jcz_iUWz-A8&index=2&list=PLZV-7IEB3WXZ6UJqevCWo5Jr2A_B7xKzV ) he felt her start to calm down and fall asleep when the song ended. “Goodnight... Hermana...” Sylvio said, he fell asleep with her. A few days later, the storm had moved from Cuba to Florida, and everyone had a big shock when they saw the one palm tree hanging from their roof, they had to work together to get it down, Nadia was in the house with Sylvio and the two were watching Avengers. Siblings are the best :) .

Con #2: They blame you for stuff/ Today was a feisty day at the bargain store, people were fighting over the newest Playstation X, little kids were throwing tantrums and crying, and somehow, Sylvio and Nadia’s parents had managed to not freak out and retreat when a mob of grown men had rushed to the newest football merchandise. However, when Sylvio had spotted a toolbox, he freaked and ran towards it, “Mamá! Papá! Look!” He crowed. “Hm, will we have enough money though?” Lisa said. “I don’t know, lemme check...” Luis said, and he took out his wallet and started counting money. Sylvio was freaking out over the toolbox, then Nadia came over. Soon Sylvio’s rival, Mateo, had came over and grabbed the toolbox out of his hands, “Hey! Give that back estupido!” Nadia screamed. She tackled Mateo to the ground, digging her fists into the 5-year-olds face, kicking him and screaming. “Get away from my son you little devils!” Screamed Mateo’s mother. “Which one of you hurt my son?!” She yelled. Nadia was scared, so she said, “Sylvio did it!”. “I knew you were bad news from the start, come with me!” The woman screamed. She grabbed Nadia and Sylvio by the forearms, and even as Nadia twisted and screamed, Mateo’s mother still kept a crushing grip. 10 minutes later, Lisa and Isabela (Mateo’s mom) were in a huge argument, and Luis proceeded to pick his children up and take them to the car. “I’ll pick up your mother later” He said. When the two had gotten home, Luis had driven back to the store in silence. “You blamed me!” Sylvio screamed, “I..i...” Nadia winced. “JUST GO AWAY!!!” Sylvio screeched. Nadia burst into tears and ran away into their shared bedroom. Sylvio hung his head in guilt, “Lo siento...”.

Pro #3: (Takes place in an AU where the Garrison doesn’t exist) They protect you/ It was chaos, ever since the aliens had descended upon their home, the Serrano’s were on the run. Maria went with Lisa, Roberto, Luis, and Marco to try and seek some shelter, while everyone else was split between trying to go to a place with a roof, or helping others, Nadia and Sylvio were not sure what to do, they were trapped in the middle of a ditch, Sylvio screamed when a pipe flew towards his head, Nadia knew he would forget her if he got hit, so she jumped in front of him and got slammed in the head with the pipe, she stumbled around, let out a long and quiet whine (Hint: I AM GROOT) and then fell unconscious. “NADIA!!!”. Sylvio had run towards her, looking for any injuries, thankfully she had her medical kit in one hand. He found a shallow gash on her forehead, and Sylvio had to do what he had to do. He took hold of the medical kit and placed a bandage on the wound. She whimpered at the pressure and Sylvio stroked a hand through her hair to calm her down. He picked her up with the power he had and set off, Nadia Véronica Sofié Serrano was stubborn, she would make it. Sylvio kept reciting it in his mind, along with the quiet spine-chilling cry Nadia gave when she passed out. Sylvio took shelter in a little cabin, cradling Nadia against his chest and praying they’d be safe. Soon enough, Tia Rachel had arrived and gasped at the sight in front of her. She got a soft blanket from her bag and wrapped it around Nadia’s limp body, then she scooped Sylvio and Nadia in her arms and ran through the chaos. “Sylvio Christopher Lance Serrano, you are a brave little miracle...” Said Great Abuela Eléna, when they arrived to a shelter. When Nadia woke up eventually, Rachel had let her know who saved her.

Con #3: They get jealous/ (sooo I decided to use Marco and Rachel in this one XD) Ever since Albert had come to the house, Rachel had been spending almost all of her time with him. Albert had taught her how to play the piano and they went and raided the fridge for ice cream, giggling when Luis asked where all the ice cream went. Marco was getting a bit jealous, since no girl had decided to start crushing on him, he began doing things that would make Rachel jealous, he started hanging out with his 2 year old niece and 4 year old nephew more, he began to take Rachel’s place gossiping with the ladies (which was embarrassing to say the least), he even began giving Nadia makeovers. One day, Marco’s best friend, Diego came over to find him painting Nadia’s nails. After Marco was done, Diego pulled him aside. “Dude, WTF are you doing?” Diego said, obviously unimpressed. “Well Diego, there is such thing as jealousy!” Marco exclaimed. “Oh, Rachel and her new daddy...” Diego said. “DIEGO!” Marco exclaimed. “Lo siento, but she acts like it!” Diego shrugged. Albert came over and started talking, “Rachel says I need to bond with you Marco...” Albert said, obviously tired. Diego ‘pffted’ and ran off. Sylvio came over and latched onto Marco’s leg, even after Albert and Marco had gotten deep into a game of basketball he still clung on.

Pro #4: They shield your eyes in a graphic situation/ (Warning: This one is a little graphic) Ok, so Nadia wasn’t expecting this, people started screaming in the park, when Veronica looked over, she saw some guy getting tackled to the ground and soon, there was a knife, every persons nightmare, and blood gushing out of a undetermined wound. “I must help him!” Nadia crowed, thinking it was another “boo-boo”, until all of the sudden, more people fell to the ground, Sylvio knew what was going to happen when he saw the knife cut through someones throat as he played enough video games to know, he took hold of Nadia and pressed her face to his chest while squeezing his eyes shut. As predicted, the person’s head fell off, blood flying everywhere, covering all 3 Serrano’s in blood. “Hermano? What’s happening?” Nadia asked. “RUN!!!” Sylvio screamed. Veronica took Nadia in her arms and grabbed Sylvio’s hand. Everyone ran as fast as they could to Veronica’s car. Veronica hit the gas pedal immediately and the car sped off. When everyone got home, Veronica fell over and Lisa was there to help her up. “Oh my gosh! Are you alright? Why are you splashed with blood?”. “I-it was so fast, I had to save them, don’t worry, the kids are fine...” Veronica said, disheveled in her own fearful way. Nadia looked down at her pink dress and saw the red splashes, and Lisa freaked out. Scooping Nadia and Sylvio in her arms, she wailed, “OH MY PRECIOUS ANGELES! DONT WORRY! WE’LL GET YOU CLEANED UP!”. At that moment, Luis just so happened to walk into the room and he freaked out and went, “Should I call 911?!”. “No-no, that won’t be necessary, they got splashed with the devil’s water at the park...” Said Lisa. (yep, this was written before I knew they were married and not Aunt and Nephew). Sylvio just scratched his head.

Con #4: They SCREE tho!/ (continuation of the previous chapter) After that scene was over, Rachel had taken to getting new clothes out for the wittnesses of the mass murder. Luis had to drive off for work, so Marco was in charge of washing Sylvio and Lisa was in charge of washing Nadia. Sylvio had let his sister get washed first, sure that she would not be happy if her dress was ruined. He heard Nadia screeching a second later. “My baby! It’s alright it’s just blood!” He heard his mother say. He saw every other female in the family, with the exception of Veronica, immediately get radar-ed over by their granddaughter/niece’s screams. By now Nadia was having a full on meltdown. Sylvio couldn’t handle her sonic boom wails, so he just scrambled to the screen porch while holding his ears. After the now quieter screams ceased, Sylvio knew it was okay to walk back in. Nadia was sleeping in her small bed, still wrapped in a towel. “C’mon buddy! Let getcha washed up” He heard Tio Marco say. Nadia woke up an hour later and got dressed again, she went outside on the screen porch, perched next to Rachel, Sylvio was inside reading a book for his homework in Kindergarten, however, whenever Veronica offered to take them to the park again, he just said no.

Pro #5: They’ll always love you/ Sylvio had a rough day, first he had been woken up at 6:00am by the seagulls screeching outside his window. Second, he accidentally fell down the stairs and sprained his ankle. Third, when he was dropped off at school, his rival Mateo tripped him, causing him to faceplant and get a bloody nose. After visiting the nurse, he arrived at class late. He got a red card because he accidentally told Mateo to “shut it” out loud. He had to stay in for recess. When Marco picked him up, Mateo had said mean things about him, causing Marco to speed off with his nephew before he said anything else. When he got home, his parents weren’t home, so there went any chance to vent his feelings out. There was only one person to vent to, so he went to the shared bedroom. He sat on his bed for a while because the girl he wanted to talk to was sleeping on her midday nap. When she woke up 30 minutes later, Sylvio was already crying because of the chance she wouldn’t be happy. But Nadia heard the little boy and jumped over to his bed. “Hermano? Are you okay?” She said. “I-it’s just I had a bad day, *sniff*, thats all...” Sylvio said. Nadia had got a plan, when her parents got home, she asked if they could make Sylvio’s favorite meal, which they said yes to. At 5:23 pm, Abuela had called everyone down for dinner. Sylvio knew that just meant he was gonna get grounded, so he slowly made his way downstairs. Only to find the door closed, and, “Llama por favor!” written on the “menu” for the day. Sylvio knocked the door with a balled up fist. In the dining room, everyone had taken their places, Nadia thankfully made the finishing touches on making the table look perfecto! “Aw zoinks! Whos going to open the door?!” Marco whisper-shouted. “I will Shaggy..!” Rachel replied. She walked over and unlocked the door and turned the knob, letting Sylvio in. He trudged in with a guilty look on his face, which turned to surprise after seeing the long kitchen table with plates of his favorite food. “Are you guys okay?” Sylvio curiously asked, “Dad? Mom? Did you get hit in the head while coming home from work?”. Luis and Lisa just giggled like little girls. Nadia ran over and wrapped her arms around her brother’s middle. “Les dije que hiciewan tu comida favowita pawa ti” She said. “¿Qué? Por qué?” Sylvio answered. “Becawse you had a bwad day, I wanted to make you feel bettew...” Nadia said. “Aww, no tenías que...” Sylvio cooed. “In fact, we actually called the teacher and said that kid who called you a rockhead was the one who deserved a red card!” Marco said, pleased with himself. “Excuse me? You did WHAT???” Luis said. “Oh... annnddd, I just so happened to be watching a basketball game with my best friend... MAMÁ HELP ME!” Marco said after Luis started to chase him around the house. Abuela sighed and called out, “THAT’S ENOUGH BOYS!”. “You know I love you Hermano, wight?” Nadia said. “I love you too...” Sylvio said, hugging Nadia a little tighter. “What are we waiting for, let’s eat!” Rachel said. “Lisa? I think we should go get those idiotas before we eat their food...” Veronica said. Luis was still chasing Marco down the block, to which eventually the girls eventually chewed them out for running away from the son and nephew’s special dinner.

Con #5: Sometimes they are away/ After finding out that the entire family couldn’t fit in one airplane with all the people trying to get to Missouri, the Serrano’s thought the best course of action was to take two separate planes. They all took the same car, everyone was panicking and after Roberto told everyone to calm down, the only two who made a sound were Rachel and Nadia, whom were stifling sobbing because of all the alien ships blocking the already blocked sun. They got to the airport before they heard a huge explosion from Varadero, and everyone screamed, except for Marco who was strangely calm, and Maria waved her hand in front of his face, “Marco? Marco? Honey?” Maria tried to get his attention. “Wait, I know what this is, he’s in shock.” Rachel said. “Uh, guys, we might want to hurry up?” Lisa said, her voice quivering with fear. They all ran into the airport, where Rachel and Luis helped Marco in. After getting to security, two security guards, a male and a female, sat Marco down to try and snap him out of it. While Roberto got into a fight with the national guard, who obviously came from the Army. “I’m sorry sir, but your family need to go into the same plane, anyone who can’t fit in stay back.” The man, in his early 40’s, said in a creepy monotone voice. Out of nowhere, Lisa stepped in front of Roberto and shouted, “Oh really?! Then I’d bet you would be willing to let me and my husband die while our baby boy and girl watch in fear?! I knew you didn’t!” Lisa exclaimed when the soldier frantically shook his head. “S-sorry mam’, but you still have to board the same plane-“. “Let them through, I know them...” A female said. “O-of course Lieutenant Serrano!” The guard said nervously. Out of the blue, Veronica walked towards her family and nodded to the soldier, who had started to walk away. “Come on guys, lets go through security”, Veronica said. Marco had gotten up from the bench after Nadia had enough of waiting and pinched her Uncles arm, hard. “YOW!” Marco yelled. He walked over to his brother and said, “Geez, your daughter may be only two years old, but she could rip my arm off if she wanted!”. “Yeah, she gets it from her dad” said Luis. After they went through security, another loud boom was heard, this time it caused a shock wave. “Come on guys! We need to move!” Roberto yelled. Everyone had ran over to the waiting area, everyone, especially the people trying to get to the planes, froze when Veronica, an official, came into their view. Letting all the Serrano’s go past with ease. After they got through the crowd, they all split and ran to their planes, “Wait, HERMANO!” Nadia screamed. “No honey, he is going to be fine...” Said Rachel. They boarded the plane, and once it lifted off, the other plane went to the other direction, carrying the boys. When they reached the stratosphere, suddenly a huge explosion lit the ground below, causing a turbulence, but all Nadia and Sylvio could focus on was all the debris flying around. The plane had to go higher due to a- particle beam? Destroying the earth down below. Oxygen mask deployed in the boys plane, Luis had to help Sylvio, who was curled up next to Marco, get his mask on. The girls plane had a bunch of turbulences, and at one point, the explosions outside became almost deafening, but thankfully, Lisa had gotten Nadia’s headphones on, knowing young children have sensitive hearing. Both children were crying, for not knowing what would happen to their family. 4 hours seemed like 4 days to the Serrano’s, when eventually, the Captain announced the plane was descending at the Garrison. When the Captain said it was clear for passengers to deboard the two planes, a lot of people started to trample each other rushing out, but then Veronica’s almost noble demeanor made everyone sit back down, with the exception of a little old lady who gladly let them pass by. The boys weren’t as lucky when it came to getting off the plane, Roberto had to guide everyone through, while Marco pushed anyone who even dared get too close. Thankfully, they all got off the plane safely.

Lance’s brother Luis is married to Lisa. They have two kids: Sylvio & Nadia. 

Rachel is likely only a year or two older than Lance. Close enough that she and Lance would have both had to sit at the kid’s table during their dinner! Some people speculate that they’re twins, but Lance was pretty firmly cemented as the baby, so I give a little bit of time between them.

I have a gen fic for each Paladin, but then the Plance fics outnumber those, so Lance and Pidge would be my go to.

So for character POV, each Paladin has one, then within Plance, Pidge has 12 and Lance has 7. Interesting, I thought it was more even. Hunk had a POV in a Plance fic too briefly!

Specifics:

Best/worst title?

Best title: Urgh I liked a lot of them. Too Soon and Not Soon Enough probably. I like how it summarizes the story without telling you how, but by the end you know.

Worst title: Seasons of Magic aka I tried to come up with a clever title when I realized I wasn’t done with it. It’s so bland to me. I’m also basically trying to rebrand from mage/familiar AU. I don’t think it’s working 😅 (not that I care I’m trying to make it easier to reference but I’m too late)

Best/worst last line?

Best: “I love you too, Pidge,” he [Lance] says, nestling her head to his chest and not bothering to correct her. “You’re the best nemesis a hero could ask for.” - I love that line so much, from Crystal Clear. Enemies to lovers is such a good trope.

Worst: Pidge groans. At this rate her double life is definitely doomed to unravel. - for how much I love Frostbite, I really hate how lame it ends. Like I totally could have said that better or continued the scene a bit but I am LAZY.

General questions:

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?

I wrote waaaaaaay more than expected. I figured I’d write something every few months. Now I can write a 2k fic in a setting if I’m on game.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted last year?

I was just doing gen fic last year, never would I have expected to be so taken by Plance that it became my main muse.

What’s your favorite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.

Honestly? Probably Pilot. It was one of my earliest VLD fic ideas to do a Gundam Wing crossover and to actually finish a one shot early in the year (when I was still dipping my feet into fandom again) just made me so so happy. I still smile thinking about the continuation possibilities. One of my favorite parts of Shiro’s character is that he is the ace pilot. Because of Keith’s role that sometimes gets overshadowed. I was so pleased to get to highlight that.

Okay, NOW your most popular story.

On Ao3, that would be Exsanguination. No surprise there, it was my first posted Plance fic and I continued it.

On Tumblr it’s First Encounters, the first of the Altean Plance AU based on the art and headcanons. I was just struck with a clear opening image one afternoon and wrote it all right then and there. I had no idea it would be so well received.

Story most underappreciated by the universe?

Space Birthday. It may have been a bit of a mess since it was my very first VLD fic, but it has everything I love. Hunk bonding with an ‘enemy’ over cooking, Team Punk, Plance in distress, Hunk saves the day thanks to mechanics. Also heartfelt stuff with Keith. And he’s the only Paladin besides Lance to get an actual birthday themed fic from me.

Story that could have been better?

I really hate to say Wrong Diamond, but I totally could have done much better with it. It feels skimpy. Probably why I am still writing in the AU.

Sexiest story?

Ha. That would be a tie between Crystal Clear and Exsanguination. The first I actually tried and the second completely by accident. I’m not sure it worked though.

Saddest story?

All my sad fics have a bit of crack to them. Pilot is pretty melancholy. Crystal Clear has a good Plance argument that gets heated. Road Trip in general though might take the cake. It’s full of angst amid some humor due to the premise.

Most fun?

Shot Through the Heart in terms of tone.

Confused, Keith turned back around. "What?"

Hunk rubbed the back of his neck. "So uh, you know we're friends right? Like, I meant what I said we're like brothers. We're tight. I mean, we share a mind inside of a giant robot."

Keith blinked, clearly surprised. "Yeah, I kinda got that from the hug you gave me back then. It was nice," he said with a smile. "And we work well together."

"Yeah so - wait what? No, I'm supposed to be giving you the pep talk here."

"It's fine, Hunk. I'm doing important work and so are you. I already had this talk with Allura."

"Oh. Well, what I'm trying to say is that we're friends. I care a lot about you and your feelings. So if I say something that's weird or you don't like, you gotta tell me. I'm a terrible and nosy person and I'm sorry."

Keith stood silent, processing the words, and then smiling. "I've accepted the side of me that's Galra," he said simply. "It's still a little weird, but I've always had this feeling that something didn't add up." He smiled a bit. "I don't mind a question or two, but I'm still learning myself."

"Deal, no Galra questions for a while then. Just as long as you come visit more often, okay? We all miss you.

"...hug it out?"

Keith snorted and obliged into Hunk's waiting arms. "Always."

Hardest story to write?

I struggled with the ending to Exsanguination. It took forever to come to me.

Easiest/most fun story to write?

I wrote The Secrets of Beasts in one setting and I still can’t believe how easily it came out. I blame the Plance discord folks for putting everyone on a baby craze.

Did any stories shift your perceptions of the characters?

Not particularly? I write based on my existing understanding of the characters and nothing really surprised to that note.

Most overdue story?

Welcome to the Neighborhood. I wanted to write that Allura gen fic all year (as I wanted one for all the Paladins) and I hoped s8 would give me the motivation. It was not worth the cost.

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?

Collaborations! And participating in a zine! And signing up for events (exchanges and bangs)! I learned that it’s not that scary. People are chill and so easy to get along with. Also the task isn’t as daunting as I think of it’s an idea I love.

What are your fic writing goals for next year?

This is hard because I’m already doing above and beyond what I ever expected to be doing writing wise. I suppose it will be to finish my gen fic since I’ve been writing a lot of plance lately.
