guys i had so much fun drawing ball ashe it was probably the quickest ive done one of these lol. my sweet adorable boy got all dolled up for the balllll look how excited he is!!!

ashe is SO EXCITED for this ball!!!! like i said in the sylvain post, faerghus generally doesn’t have a lot of formal events and that becomes especially true the farther you get from fhirdiad. having been a commoner for most of his life and growing up in castle gaspard means that ashe has never really done anything like this before, but he’s super giddy nonetheless :3 sylvain gave him a lil dance lesson and some tips for winning the ladies (he used none of them), and annette helped him go through his clothes and pick what to wear :3

i think in general ashe wears a lot of christophe’s hand me downs. he wants lonato to focus his efforts on caring for his little siblings after all, he can teal with some baggy clothes! especially since he knows how to sew, he’s perfectly content to inherit his adoptive brother’s stuff, even if it’s a little impersonal.

UNTILLLLL he comes to the academy and meets his bestie dedue!!!!! those two hit it off SO WELL and they bond so much over their interests that i can so see dedue teaching ashe how to do embroidery so he can make his clothes feel more like his and be a little prettier! dedue showed him how to make butterflies (he used to embroider them on his sister’s clothes 💔) and ashe proceeded to make a pretty lil butterfly vest and show it off at the ball lol. he was super nervous and kept asking if his outfit was nice enough, if he should do something with his hair, but i think everyone just told him how lovely he looked and he found the confidence to relax and have fun

while sylvain and felix both had a crush on you, sylvain was the one eagerly suggesting a polyamorous relationship!

honestly, he would've never imagined himself open to sharing a lover with someone else. but if that someone else is felix, sylvain doesn't seem to mind…

in fact, he's actually eager to share you! he knows how bad felix is at showing his true feelings, so sylvain feels obligated to help him out!

sylvain over eagerly plays the wingman for felix, always nudging him towards you and giving felix tips on how to be more romantic

though the two boys show their affection in different ways. sylvain is very verbally and physically affectionate, while felix shows his love through acts of service!

felix is very protective of you and he'll often get into fights with men either talking badly about you or hitting on you! the same goes for when people talk badly about sylvain…

some people look down on the three of you due to the unconventional relationship you have. but felix always defends it, while sylvain teaches the two of you to not let gossip get through to you

the three of you are inseparable and as the years pass, the boys begin to share traits with one another that weren't originally there

felix grows a bit more physically and verbally affectionate – though only in private – while sylvain gets more protective of you in battle!

Some fe3h headcanons

Sylvain is some form of aroace/demiromantic.

He’s a flirt but in multiple supports it’s heavily implied that it’s an act. With Byleth he flat out says he ‘hates’ the women he flirts with.

Two of the stories we hear of him as a kid, the incidents with the scarecrow and Ingrid’s granny, both sound like someone trying to explore the limits of something they don’t understand. He probably saw the adults around him flirting and did it without understanding at first, but then it got him attention that wasn’t based on his crest so he kept it up. And later on her reputation was protecting him from a potential arranged marriage.

He has the fewest paired endings of any student. Two of those are his oldest and closest friends, and with Ingrid his feelings towards her clearly change in their A supports, as if romantic feelings for her only came about after a long and close relationship (demiromantic)

The other two are the people with the most in common with him. Both Mercedes and Dorothea have similar stories of objectification, And also they both have something to gain from the marriage. Sylvain and Mercedes both get people off their backs about arranged marriages and Dorothea gets someone to support her into old age.

And importantly both of these women are canonically bisexual, so it’s very possible that he could be acting as their “Beard” (a term for when two queer people get married to hide their relationships with other people of the same sex)

The main takeaway I got from his S support with Byleth was him swearing to never flirt again, which seems to be something that happens in all these endings. Possibly because he comes to understand and respect this part of him and that he doesn’t need that shield anymore.

I wish I had more to say about him and Felix because it’s my favorite but it’s also probably the closest thing to a debunk to this. Theirs is a pretty standard love story, two close childhood friends who drift apart because of circumstances and after overcoming their respective issues they come back together even stronger. They’re in love from day one and probably constantly fuck nasty. But that doesn’t necessarily exclude this theory.

Anyway Bernadetta is the least likely to join a polycule because she seems to value exclusivity and a form of endearment (best seen in her support with Caspar.)

💝 A headcanon about their love language

for sylvain!

Sylvain’s love language? Oooh okay. To me, he’s a real acts of service guy—words of affirmation are what he’s gotten all his life, his quality time w/ women has been shallow and unfulfilling, and same can be said for gifts. So to me it really seems like he’d be a big acts of service guy, followed by physical touch, like, after everything he’s been through it’d be *those* that /really/ express his love for others, and those that’d /really/ let him know that he’s loved.
