my question is..how do you think sylas would have responded to pea? he seemed a good brother to emilia and from what you're saying of lucy he'd be a positive influence for them too so i just can't help but think dad and former mentor throwing out a sweet little girl on the streets to fend for herself wouldn't fly well

after his mother dies (sorry, she's sick, she will die eventually) i imagine sylas would work toward being no contact with his father and do his best to get emilia away from him. though he would probably have a hard time of that since she's daddy's little girl and lord dubois would poison her against him.

i'm not sure that he would immediately take over raising peony since she'd be very attached to su-yeong and tobi as surrogates, but he'd be closely involved.

Raisen by a family of commoners of Baldur's gate, Elaine showed interest in music from a young age. Her family scraped what they could to send her to Ollahm, a school for bards in Waterdeep, accompanied by her twin sister who had to study how to control her outburst of wild magic. She graduated as a musician and, while usually lost in her own artistic mind, she returned her family the favor by singing and playing her harp in taverns.

One night while performing she was spotted by Damien, a member of a secret organization called the Order of the Secavi. The Order was a prestigious group of people who held power in the shadows of Baldur's Gate-- rich merchants that fell into disgrace, last sons and daughters of the novelty, and ambitious no ones. The agreement between them consisted on controlling the banks, finances, commerce, trade and politics without being noticed. Leaving important politicians and notable characters out of the picture, they focused on small changes they could achieve by controlling less important people of influence.

The name of the order came from it's seven members, each of them providing service of one of the seven capital vices. Depending on their targets tastes, they offered their services and turned the tides to their favour.

Alphonso, a merchant, staged fights in a secluded, hidden and somehow popular ring. If the target wanted to let out their anger and wrath, Alphonso would provide the service of Sylas, an elf that was forced to take the beating. If gluttony was the sin, Marcus, a not-so-famous chef would provide delicious meals. Yvanna, the owner of an inn where the order meets, would hide targets and care to every whim until nothing but sloth followed.

Damien wasn't a merchant neither owned a place of his own, but his cunning and ambition led him to provide willing bodies for the lust. His most precious jewel was a girl he saw playing at a tavern. Through the use of drugs, spells and training, Elaine became Lorelei, the girl with the voice of a siren and beautiful as a doll. One he delievered to however wanted to have her, or dwelve into their most twisted desires. Her twin sister Eirwen, abducted during the same night, resisted the training but it was for that same reason that she was sold to a merchant.

Lorelei forgot her past and oftenly forgot her present, only serving as she was told to. The tadpole was Lorelei's escape, but the damage to her brain was already done.

Lorelei is cheerful, erratic, unpredictable and chaotic. Since the brainwashing she's not able to understand social cues and non direct words like sarcasm. She follows orders automatically, even those spoke as a joke or as common sayings. She owns no moral compass.

I don't know if this is something you've thought about but I'm curious - Would Peony's familiar have been a cat of some sort? I noticed a while back that Morgan likely inherited the bird familiar from Lord Dubois, and I wondered if Peony's would be a cat to reflect Fidelia? I know it's not exact because *gestures to Sylas' sister's wolverine* but I've been wondering.

at one point i decided it would be an agrippina moth, since your familiar being like your parent's is nurture, not nature. so she isn't required to have one that's like theirs
