Sage's Ex, Final

There's no warning this time, as this is the good ending of this story, a hoe gets murdered though so there's that, plus Sage and Rosalina are at a shopping date here!

It took some days to track the ex with the help from Vox and Eva, both wanting to join as they had a soft spot for Sage. It was rare for any sinner to be openly genuine and Sage was good for Velvette, she was less prone to tear into the models than what she used to before Sage came into the picture. Not to mention that Eva found a friendship in someone who is so open on music choice, with even suggesting some bands that Eva wasn't aware of. Hazel went to work explaining to Sydney, Iris and begrudgingly Xana to the situation when they got to the address of a run down apartment complex.

Xana asked repeatedly, "So when we kill is hoe for beating our Sage man, we are free to take her shit right?"

Hazel was so done with Xana "I said I don't fucking care what you do afterward but if you find a denim jacket that has a lot of patches on it, it belongs to Sage, period."

Sydney and Iris were eager to serve some justice for their friend, they liked when they hung out during the overlord meetings as Sage will bring tons of snacks for them to enjoy and saw them as equals.

Velvette, snapping her fingers to get everyone's attention "Ok ladies we know what we came here to do right?"

In unison the guards except Xana responded "yes ma'am "

"Good, let's make this washed out crusty hag pay for laying a finger on our girl."

MEANWHILE, AT VOXTEC TOWERS

Rosalina didn't know what to expect when she was tasked to "keep Vel's pup happy until they were done with some business " honestly if there was any demon that Velvette wanted to make disappear she should have turned to her first, but she figured this would be fine.

Vox and Eva were arguing about Sage's prosthetic, with Vox wanting to add all kinds of bells and whistles that would in his words "make life tens times more easily than before," with Eva cutting in by stating "You dense flat microwave Sage here shouldn't have to connect to the wifi in order to jack off,"

Sage, being the subject at hand, was sitting on the elongated table, kicking their feet almost like a kid at a dentist office.

Rosalina kept thinking to herself, how did that one managed to charm both Velvette and Hazel? Even getting a soul bind deal from the former as well.

Sage, feeling the gaze from across the lab, turned and waved at Rosalina, forgetting that the arm was being worked on and received both profanities from Vox and deep laughter from Eva

Oh that's why, Sage is a fucking dork,

Rosalina realized, hiding her face from showing the deep blush of her cheeks

BACK AT THE BASTARDS HOUSE.

Hazel was instructed to knock the door even though she was hoping to break it down all together

After a few minutes a figure answered the door, seeing the demon up close was a shock for everyone to see; to start, the demon's frame was similar to Hazel's, albeit a more sickly appearance, most likely due to the notable needle marks that were visible on one of her arms.

Her beak looked chipped and cracked, perfect to be smashed in. To add, the demon had large plate-like growths jetting from both sides of her head.

"Uh, can I fucking help you?" The bastard finally answered

Hazel shoved the beast to the side, with everyone following suit to step into the apartment

"Why yes you can, " Velvette answered sweetly, "we are here to grab some of the stuff belonging to someone dear to us"

The ex, being corned by both Sydney and

Hazel, knew better than start a fight as they are definitely outmatched,

"If it's about that bunny bitch I used to bang, you are free to take her shit ba-" being cut off by receiving a kidney punch from Hazel

"Don't you ever call her that again" Hazel growled at the shaking perpetrator

"Oh I wasn't asking dear, we are getting her stuff regardless of what you say, we just wanted to see how cooperative you would be."

After 10 minutes of scavenging the entire complex, the jacket was finally located, Xana being more focused on grabbing miscellaneous trinkets. Iris passed the coat toward Velvette to inspect the treasure.

The jacket looked beautiful, the handstiches were neat and still held strong despite the history it had. The patches that were sewn into the coat were from a collection of some indie bands, with the most striking one depicting a two-headed serpent, their tongues intertwining.

"Yup, this is the one" Velvette announced, snapping her fingers to let the others know to wrap everything up, if anything this is the most important thing that mattered.

"Hey you can't just barge into my crib and ransacked it like a pack of flea-ridden whor-" the ex shouted before receiving another punch from both Hazel and Sydney

"Actually we can bitch," Velvette's voice sharpen, "You hurt my love and you think I'm going to let you go knowing that you are still roaming around like the cockroach you are?"

Velvette was at the doorstep, holding the coat as if it were made of jewels and gold,

"Ladies, make her last hours of here absolute hell" she commanded with a furious cackle

IN PENTAGRAM CITY

Sage was not expected to be this pampered, especially not from the lust myth dragon herself,  but she was still learning to accept whatever compliment or gift that was given to her.

"Rosalina, ma'am, "

Rosalina corrected Sage,

"Please dear, call me Rosa, we are close enough to drop the formalities"

That part was somewhat true to Sage, they both had the experience of sharing the same affection toward Hazel and Velvette, but Sage was still nervous around Rosalina, not intimidated but was rather the desire to be connected with her.

"Ok Rosa, this is the six clothing shop that we have been in, you don't need to get me any of this," pointing at another dress shirt that Rosa grabbed off the shelf.

"Well then you shouldn't look this cute in any of them then," Rosa argued, smiling at seeing the face of the short guard growing a deep red, Sage was still getting used to being called cute.

"Well I guess you have to get used to it then," Sage retorted, not expecting to receive a peck on the lips from the tall woman herself.

"I guess I will then~" satisfied at the guard attempting to hide their face as it became a more deeper color, she could swear Sage was going to turn purple.

Returning to the tower, Sage saw everyone surrounding something that she couldn't make out,

Sage dropped everything that she was carrying and rushed over to the group, why were they covered in blood? What are Sydney and Iris doing here? And Xana too? Didn't Hazel and Xana hated each other?

Hazel patted Sage's arm, revealing a box wrapped around with shiny red ribbon.

"Bluebell, we think this belongs to you."

Sage, seeing the group's anticipated looks, carefully removed the ribbon and opened the box, containing the intact denim jacket, which was stainless compared to her peers.

Silence deafened the room,

did Sage like the gift?

Was this a good idea?

Hazel was startled when Sage quickly jumped into her, arms and legs wrapping around Hazel like she was a tree that happened to be made if fur.

Questions were spilled from her mouth in-between sobs, mainly in the form of "How?", "Did you went through all this trouble to get it?" And "Did you guys had any trouble with that bitch?"

Hazel, now supporting Sage with her arms answered with reciprocated energy, "It was nothing Bluebell, we figured that you would want something you busted you ass to make and that piece of trash will never bother you again."

"More like pieces!" Xana snorted, holding two cardboard boxes. One contained some more of Sage's items such as metal trinkets and old shirts from different indie bands and the second one holding other junk like silverware, boots and a dingy microwave. Which Sage proceeded to smash it into a million pieces, finally putting that end of that chapter to rest even through pleas from Xana. Hazel informed the imp to "let her have this"

After obliterating the microwave to debris, Sage turned to her friends and partners, toothy grin from ear to ear

"Who wants steak tonight?"

spinning (for you) is quite angsty and is about the slow demise of a relationship between Steve/Eddie.

I Know That I Love You, But I’m Still Learning (To Love Myself) is dark throughout and tells the story of the night Ronan ended up in the hospital. TW: suicide attempt

B’s New Vamp is definitely the fic where I’ve gotten the most comments saying the ending killed them, though I think the ending is quite happy (if not for Faith, the POV character).

7. What is the fic you wrote that has the happiest ending?

This question has made me realize I don’t really write happy fics. Maybe In Another Life or You Me Her?

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not usually. One person told me a fic of mine was “the stupidest most far fetched thing ever” even though I tagged for the plot point they didn’t like. They did say I have great writing though, so I’m choosing to take it as a compliment.

9. Do you write smut?

Not that I’ve ever posted. I would write it if it was important for the characters/scene/plot to show the scene in detail.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I’ve written one! It’s an AFTG and Raven Cycle crossover where Ronan and Nicky meet. You can read it here.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, one of my AFTG fics, Promises, had been translated to Russian. I have no clue where to find it, but the translator was nice enough to report back the comments on the Russian version.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No. But I had to co-write an essay for class one time and nearly killed my co-writer/friend, so I don’t see that in my future.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

That’s a very hard question to answer. But some of my long-time favorites are Andrew Minyard/Neil Josten, Sydney Sage/Adrian Ivashkov, Buffy Summers/Spike, and Magnus Bane/Alec Lightwood. A niche one that had a chokehold on me is Karma/Amy from Faking It.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have three incomplete WIPs posted, so hopefully one of those. I’ve also been working on a Malec time travel fic for about 8 years at this point because I’m stuck on one particular scene, so it would be nice to get past that one of these days.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think my short fics are my best work. Usually they cook in my head for a few days, then come out all at once at four in the morning with tight writing and cohesive themes.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Long fics are definitely a weakness of mine. Also dialogue and fight scenes.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in the fic?

I am guilty of doing this, but find it annoying when it’s long blocks of dialogue with no context clues to decipher what’s happening.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

The first fics I published were Buffy fanfics on Dark Solace Elysian Fields. I’m almost certain I scribbled fanfic in my high school notebooks, but I don’t remember what fandoms they were for.

20. Favorite fics you’ve published?

It’s like picking my favorite child. But I do love some of my children better than others.

I’m most proud of my ability to imitate a character’s voice in B’s New Vamp (which also features possible the worst fic summary I’ve ever written).

A Yes Isn’t Always a Yes is the fic I’m probably most proud of overall, especially because of the sensitive subject matter and the lovely comments that some people who related to it left.

mariella lannister (fc: sydney sweeney) she has always been a dutiful girl she took her septa's words to heart and would read the texts of the seven far more than other girls her age. she knows every word by heart and dreams of one day becoming a septa. she has even attempted to take vows of modesty with the clothing she wears and donated most things she is gifted to the poor. where some girls dream of being the queen or a mother she dreams of being a septa.

the only thing standing in her way? her beauty. she is quite the sight even with her hair hidden away and her clothing modest you can tell she's a gorgeous girl. no one sees her gentle heart or her giving nature all they see is a beautiful face and body. naturally she is refused her dreams because she cannot be a pawn to house lannister if she revokes everything to join the church.

Honestly I think a lot of us who became fans of Adrian in VA was due to the fact of what age we read VA. Me personally I was 17/18 when I read VA and was already so over the moody, never wants to open up emotionally distant Male leads in books by that point. That when Adrian came in, it was a breath of fresh air. He made jokes, never pretended to be something he wasn't, was honest about what Spirit was doing to him, and called out people when he had to. He was the most crystal clear character I had read to that point. And Richelle did a great job of transitioning him to the Bloodlines series, and even though Bloodlines is considered YA. It felt like the book was more college age than anything else. I really love VA, but Rose really had these rose color glasses on for Dimitri. She didn't want to see anything and held him up to such a high standard. That I truly preferred the moments in the series where her mind wasn't so Dimitri focused. Blood Promise is my Favorite book in VA and even though it was about Rose going to find Dimitri. It was such a nice break getting away from the constant Dimitri/Lissa cycle she was on.

Hello there!! I absolutely agree. I think the reason why so many people hate or dislike Adrian is because they all saw him from Rose's point of view and let's be honest, she never painted him in a good light nor ever truly gave him a chance. Not even as a friend. Even as a friend she treated him so poorly like he was just a nuisance and it annoyed me so much. Even after Tatiana was murdered and he fell into drinking to cope, she labeled him a coward and she was dating him, that was what made me dislike Rose so much. She saw him as lesser and weak when he was in a very vulnerable position and yet, he still helped her and no one ever gives him credit for helping her even when his heart was broken when he had every right to not help. She used him, plain and simple. There's no arguing with that.

Adrian is dare I say, the most in depth character Richelle created in that series. He is interesting and he is so much more than what we see and I'm so glad that Bloodlines gave him chapters from his own perspective. He got the redemption he deserved in those books. I can go on and on about how wonderful of a character he is. I love Adrian with all of my heart.

Aria Sapphire and her sons are all hybrid Fairies and Mermaids.

The mermaid trait is automatic because when marrying into the family James became a merman and so obviously they are all mermaids. (Same goes with Jay Lambert and Sydney Sage now Lambert, though she was initially a mermaid and didn't become one, so that's why twins Graham and Melody are mermaids. I have to check if Melody's babies are mermaids too.)

But yeah, they are fairies. Fairies from the Fairies vs. Witches mod by SpinningPlumbob by the way! Not that being a mermaid or a fairy really comes in my gameplay storytelling right now since I don't really have an initial lore. But it might someday! Depends.

I might make canon soon that Aria really struggled with the Moonspell weakness, she got it shortly after giving birth to Alexander. This weakness makes it mandatory for her to be home early in the evening or living near the sea. Also Dahlia (Aria's mother) would turn into a mermaid EVERYTIME there would be water, she got this weakness in late adult stage.

James tried to help her and started researching mermaid mythology and also became a sea witch in the process but he never really made deals with anyone, he just has the ability to do so. Did he truly never...? (James might have a skeleton in the closet.)

(PS: would love to see a blog compiling all SQOTDs with the one from the day pinned! Though I actually missed one and didn't feel like doing it late because this is more of a daily thing, if there was also a weekly question/challenge that feels a bit more challenging but we can give time to answer properly, I would love it! "Human Acts" by Han Kang just because the writing was so emotional and painful and it reminded me of human emotion and how it can span decades

📖Do you prefer physical books or e-books? Why? 

I prefer physical books but ebooks are just more convenient overall to both access anytime and .. acquire

📑How do you organize your bookshelves? By genre, author, color, or in a completely unique way? 

I stand the books upright and the tallest ones are on the furthest left side and the shortest on the furthest right

Multiple - I usually have 1 or 2 for or related to my degree, 1 for self-development, 1 nonfiction for a hobby I'm interested in, and 1 fiction for fun. If I'm on break, maybe a manga or webtoon as well.

🧾What fictional world would you love to visit and explore if given the chance? 

The world in which "Shadow of the Fox" by Julie Kagawa was written in. The story itself is okay, but the world she built is absolutely stunning for the mind's eye.

📔Which book character do you relate to the most, and why? 

Sydney Sage from the VA/Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead - I've felt a huge connection to this character since I was a teen and I see myself in her so much to this day (Also, the VA/Bloodlines series is due for a re-read soon, I think)

📙What’s your favorite genre to read, and do you have any recommendations within that genre? 

Fantasy, fantasy, and more fantasy. Honestly, anything and everything you can get your hands on when it comes to fantasy. I think reading it is like appreciating art because of all the imagination and planning it took to make all these huge, beautiful worlds. No specific recommendations, I just think everyone needs to find a fantasy book that sounds interesting to them and dig in.

Paperbacks are preferred, but I usually end up reading ebooks.

📘Do you have any reading goals for this year? How are you progressing so far?

Not really. Having reading goals took away the enjoyment I had for reading, so I just read whenever I want to (or need to, when it comes to school) and that has been working out tremendously.

📖What is your favorite book-to-movie adaptation, and why? 

I'm not trying to sound like a pick me or 'look at me I'm so quirky and different' but I don't like movie adaptations, ever. Haha.

📚Do you have a go-to reading spot or do you read everywhere?

I love reading in bed, before sleep. I like to keep reading until my eyes physically cannot stay open anymore and I fall asleep with my reading app/book still open. It's my nightly wind-down activity.

📕Who is your all-time favorite author, and what makes their writing so special to you? 

I like Holly Black, but I feel like it's mainly nostalgia. She's a great writer, I just feel like I've grown out of most of her books since they're targeted towards a younger audience, but when I was a teen I'd just read her books back to back to back and couldn't get enough of them.

🧾What is the most memorable book ending you’ve ever read? Did it leave you satisfied or wanting more? 

Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. It left me... confused. I was confused but understood it perfectly at the exact same time. No other book has ever given me that feeling.

📙What book did you initially not enjoy but ended up loving? What changed your perspective? 

Walden Two by B.F Skinner. I had to read it for one of my psychology classes and when I started it I was honestly so confused and I found the characters to outdated and dry, but by the end, I understood that it was actually a very thought-provoking book, especially for 1948. Even though it's an older book, I feel like it could still hold its own in modern times and can still apply. It really makes you think and I do actually recommend it. You just have to get through the first really stuffy parts and roll your eyes through some mansplaining.

📗If you could have a conversation with any author, living or deceased, who would it be and what would you ask them? 

Hermann Hesse. I would ask him what drugs he was on while he wrote his books and then immediately un-alive him again. As a treat.

📘Are there any book series that you’ve been meaning to start but haven’t gotten around to yet? Which ones are they? 

Everyone raves about Brandon Sanderson's fantasy books but I hesitate because I've seen some of the most insufferable cis men recommending him and it makes me uhhh not want to.

Not really?

"Emergency Contact" by Mary H.K Choi has a stunning cover, but unfortunately I really disliked the actual story.

🔖Which classic book or author do you think everyone should read at least once in their lifetime, and why?

You know I'm going to say Jane Austin, right? You have to read her books or you don't fully grasp the entire concept of pining and yearning. I don't make the rules.
