I couldn't tell you what join-me @sycstud and I started chatting in back in 2013 or so, but I can tell you it became the constant. Our decade long friendship has grown, and so have we.

We've traded horses, we've written stories. Our stables are so deeply intertwined, our characters and horses make appearances in the background of each other's posts.

I am not sure if you told me back in 2012 when I joined the sims horse community, I would make some of my closest and greatest friends, I would've believed you. However, this season of thankfulness, that's what I am choosing to recognize.

Thanks for a decade of friendship, and here's to another decade, and then another, and another, and another.

So, Agatha. Agatha Florence Foskett. First created on the page sometime in 2013; first created in-game in February 2015; still the star of this story. I have not been writing her story chronologically and altering her to reflect the changes that occur within it, so there’s not much spin I can put on this, nor is there much to say. To me, the most notable differences are that she looks a bit less baby-faced now compared to her debut, and I got a better computer (and a better handle on PS) (maybe?). I’ve played with her make-up; changed her contacts; I still have to edit the shadow of her jaw; I still can’t get her lips right. I think I make minor tweaks in CAS every time I photograph her (something I suspect is one part my perfectionism, two parts how drastically the shape of a hair mesh can change a sim’s face??) but on the whole, she never deviates much from whichever version I deem better on the day. Walking In A Winter Wonderland

"Keep up, CeCe! Haze isn't waiting around today." Patrick shouted over the wind, with a sly smile. His statement is met from an eyeroll from his girlfriend, Cecily. She always hated being called CeCe. Or at least, she acted like it. Truthfully, she got butterflies when it was Patrick saying it.

Cecily gave Bertie a little squeeze with her calves; the Morgan x draft cross didn't have quite the leggy build of Patrick's giant warmblood mare. "Alternatively, you could try to keep your mare from running away with you." As if on cue, Haze let out a loud snort and tossed her head. The mare's favorite speed was a gallop, so she was protesting the idea of a calm, winter hack. The duo kept up their playful bickering throughout their ride.

The holiday season lends itself to reflection on those important to you. Cecily and Patrick fatefully met at a Pony Club camp as kids. Their relationship weathered the years, until they realized there was no one else they'd rather spend their lives with. A smile from Cecily reminded Patrick of that future that would be starting soon. Today may not be the day, the snow was heavier than Patrick was hoping for, but Patrick knew the ring in his pocket wouldn't stay a secret for long. For now, he would enjoy how a snow day with your best friend, is a wonderland.

Before Maeve was a Grand Prix show jumper, she got her start with cobs. As a teenager, she owned Eunique Foxrock Round, or "Foxy", a sweet buckskin mare. Foxy and Maeve were staples on the local circuits, dabbling in all sorts of disciplines together.

Maeve and her dear friend Mallory West (@sycstud) were taking a walk down memory lane and uncovered this photo from Maeve's younger days with the much beloved Foxy.

"Are you watching it? Is it her round yet?" The girls huddled around the glowing screen of an iPhone in the Kismet tack room. "Now entering the ring for the 1.60 meter class, Zero Gravity, number 293, ridden by Geneva Sandoval. This pair is representing Kismet, and the USA." The announcer could be heard faintly over the phone, the voice distorted from traveling both through a loud speaker and through the internet.

"I can't believe you're wearing my show coat!" Savannah hissed at her half-sister, Ginny. "Well, it looks better on me anyways." Ginny shot back, with an eye roll, as Savannah donned Ginny's navy coat. The two sisters spent a good portion of their time arguing over borrowed clothing, but they shared a passion for the equestrian lifestyle. And when it really mattered, they had each other's backs. Like when Savannah was on course with Dumbo, the notoriously slow thoroughbred. As she turned off the rail to approach the bush jump, Savannah heard Ginny clucking at Dumbo from the sidelines before he could get too lazy and slow.
