Stray thoughts from an unhinged mind caused by a song called Robin
Since my teens, I have always been a Karlie Kloss fan. No amount of vitriol from the Swifty’s has ever strayed or strained my conviction that Karlie is on many levels, and aside from being absolutely gorgeous, a better human being than Taylor Swift.
By that I mean she seems to project a warmth and a level of kindness and humanity out into the world that is so pure and honest, when compared to Taylors, sometimes vengeful and darker persona ~as well as her being Queen Mother to one of the worlds most vindictive and exhausting cults who would gladly fillet anyone at “Mother’s “ request. Taylor (the brand) has made a career and a fortune from feeding her tales of romantic misfortune and presumed ex lovers to her hungry mob with merchandise to match.
Karlie on the other hand has a nurturing and supportive side to her and don’t let her beautiful and seductive exterior fool you for below that sultry surface she gives off a warm and fuzzy golden vibe- like a puppy. She’s sophisticated, highly intelligent, NYC chic and street smart , often silly and maturing like fine wine while somehow becoming more beautiful as she ages. She also appears to be one Hell of a good mother to those babies.
All that being said about their personalities is exactly why I believe Karlie’s sunshine is the perfect match for Taylor and her moody, broken, impulsive ,often over indulgent, midnight rain personality. Not only are they equal in status - they have a Yin Yang balance to them - Only that sunshine can dry up the rain in Taylor .
I’ll continue.
While listening to songs off of the TTPD I was stopped dead in my tracks when I came to the song, Robin. I listened three times and found a tear rolling down my right cheek. I was choked up and the tiny hairs on my arms stood up . To say I was moved would be an understatement. There was something so raw, so pure and so loving in those lyrics. I had to sit with my thoughts for a while but I feel the need to share them now among those who i consider “my people”.
The Kaylors.
Sidebar confession: Yes, I’m a Kaylor.
I firmly believe Taylor Swift, and Karlie Kloss had a long running romantic relationship. They were more than friends. They were lovers too. The level of denial it takes to doubt that is astonishing. It wasn’t just Kissgate that sealed the deal. It’s the way those two looked at each other and communicated in a secret language all their own. They were deeply in love.
I believe it all started prior to the public meet up at the VS Fashion Show and even long before the “your kitchen or mine cookie “tweet.
I believe Taylor and Karlie first met when Taylor was showing up at fashion shows that Karlie was walking in as far back as 2009. Where they had a relationship then? Probably not because they were both involved with others but the sparks were flying. Thats when the foundation was laid. The attraction was there. The seeds planted. Destiny and the Universe did the rest.
Think Love Story lyrics
“We were both young when I first saw you” which I believe Taylor wrote about Karlie and which also happens to be Karlies favorite song. I believe they had an ongoing relationship that continued on until late 2017-early 2018 and then I believe something happened and they broke up, as many long-term relationships often do. My guts tell me it was cheating and it was on Taylor’s part and the regret from that will haunt Taylor for her entire life because it caused the trajectory of their path to change.
Karlie married in 2018 yet many speculate they were still together and the unofficial story is the real trouble actually came in mid 2019.
Taylor was furious over the masters, fingers were pointing everywhere, cheating rumors flew. This entire story certainly has all the drama of a Netflix series that could easily do 8 seasons
There’s so much more to this Masters incident than the public is aware of. Also the fact that Josh’s families company ~ the Carlisle Group provided the funding to Scooter is an often overlooked storyline.
Was Taylor angry at Karlie for that but how could Karlie control that if she was even in that loop of that drama. Or~ was there more -because in any good mystery - there’s always several layers more .
What did Scooter have to leverage getting that kind of money from them to buy the masters? Being Karlie’s manager at the time perhaps he has something on her or Taylor or both of them and used it as that leverage . It’s a whole other rabbit hole that I don’t have time to visit right now but regardless Taylor is still angry about to this very day which tells me it goes way deeper and my gut feeling is that Taylor’s dad was the one involved with knowing things and not Karlie Kloss who got fed to the sharks over the situation.
So I’m going on record here saying I never believed Karlie had anything to do with Masters Heist. I believe that story was used as an explanation to explain their separation. I know there’s a whole other level of messy lore involving this and a love blackout and Trumps election and Karlie’s association with the Kushner’s but I’m going to skip over that season and move on -except to say that it was absolutely shameful the level of hate Karlie was forced to endure because of that and still her sun shinned while she was being made the villain online and much of it still continues to this day. At any point during that scandal Karlie could have spoken out but she didn’t. She quietly took one for the team.
I’m not going to pretend that I know what happened during that murky period or what is happening now - because honestly -I do not…but there have been a strange set clues and way too many “koincidences to simply chalk up to being coincidences.
It’s just a gut feeling but I also don’t believe their connection went fully went away or ever will for that matter. They are and will forever be tied together even in the times they are apart but I kinda think they reunited ( again) in early to mid 2020.
I’ve read all the theories. I’ve heard all the rumors ,I’ve been to the rabbit hole, I’ve climbed out, I’ve fallen back in, and most days now you’ll find me sitting on the edge dangling my feet still and kinda wondering. I live my life ~ they live theirs.
So am I a LSK?
No, not really, but some days …ok, maybe. You see for as much as I try to say no…there’s just this tiny string I can’t help but see so I keep my feet planted on the ground but my mind open.
By open I mean open to the possibility that Taylor and Karlie are in one of those kind of “relationships” where as hard as they try ~they just can’t seem to quit each other and they go through periods of on and off times. “pauses” is what I like to call the brakes or bumps along the way. You know that couple that’s over but they’re never really over ?
Where are they now? I have no idea.
Taylor has another year of touring and promoting and probably Travis. My money says Taylor Swift will be the halftime show at next years Super Bowl.
Karlie, along with her modeling contacts ( Carolina Herrera, Estée Lauder, Donna Karen etc ) is venturing into the business world. Along with running Kode with Klossy, she’s CEO of her newly formed media company. She bought I-D magazine and also Life magazine, which Josh also invested in , this year. She’s got a lot on her plate
Yes, Karlie is married but is she really married in the traditional sense of what we all consider marriage to be? On the surface, yes… but once again- the layers and the lore here is incredible.
What a character she’d be on that Netflix show I imagine in my head . Just give her an Emmy already.
Does she love Josh? I’m absolutely sure she does- but the real question is…is she IN love with Josh? You know- romantic love -which, I as an observer ~don’t believe she is or ever has been. You can just kinda tell and no matter how many pictures she posts the connection just isn’t there and whenever I see her with her beautiful babies (even if he’s in the photo) she gives off that “ single mother vibe “
That level of chemistry, no matter how the pictures are posed~ or the hand in hand walks are staged -the passion ~ the look in their eyes - it just isn’t there and honestly it never was.
They have always given off that bff energy and frankly ~ Karlie’s friendship with her “big brother “ Derek actually feels more real, relaxed and genuine. Then there are the gay rumors ( past and present) surrounding their entire little multiverse ~but we won’t go into them right now either. We’d be here all night.
And yes, Taylor has had her share of public relationships but have they been real? Have they had their moments? probably. Did some become more than PR for a brief period of time. Possibly She’s been linked to everyone she even walks by or talks to but somehow it all pales and fades in time. I’m sure there have been flings along the way but flings don’t fly and usually run their course in that 9 1/2 week period that flings seem to take.
If I’m being honest, as I observe from the treetops all of Taylor’s relationships and Karlies relationship with Josh, they never reach the level of the real connection and happiness that I saw between Taylor and Karlie. That’s something you just can’t fake or reproduce with another .
Whatever is going on with Travis is so cringey and sadly embarrassing.I tend to think it’s PR but if it’s real then he truly is her obnoxious karma and karma isn’t usually a good thing. But hey the moneys good. Maybe they’ll even get lavender married so she can stay in her closet and continue to throw red meat to the $wifties.
The future is yet unwritten.
All that being said, I’ll get back to my original point of this ramble and that’s a song called Robin.
So yes, I’ve heard the rumors, I’ve read the theories, I’ve seen photographs of visual evidence. Karlie Kloss was in Los Angeles during the pandemic, the same place where Taylor was in fort part of 2020. When she returned to NYC if you count the months - she was pregnant even if she didn’t look it. I also believe Karlie was there in the shadows during the Long Pond Studio recordings in Upstate NY. Jack kind of gave it away when he referenced “Joe the dog” as being who he thought Taylor was talking about when she said “ Joe and I wrote a song”
I’ve also heard the rumor that there was a ceremony between them that they tried to pass off as a ceremony between Taylor and Joe which Tree later denied that there was ever a ceremony of “any type”.
Ok buckle up because here it comes
I’ve seen the “turkey baster”( IVF ) post that Karlie made. Like who uses a turkey baster in May? What an odd thing to do unless you were signaling an IVF pregnancy situation. Regardless ~ she was extremely happy that day.
Tumblr media
I’ve seen the cinnamon buns post ( think the expression “buns in the oven ) that Taylor made a few days later back in May 2020. She was “proud” of her cinnamon buns.
Happy & proud …hum
Is that a crazy set of coincidences? Hand on whatever holy book you set before me ~ I’d have to say “yes”
Tumblr media
And it’s Absolutely crazy considering the fact that Levi was born a little over nine months later.
Add in the fact of how emotional Taylor got accepting her Grammy for Folklore when Arron thanked his “ wife and kids “during the acceptance speech.
For a few moments there you could feel the raw emotion in her as she nearly burst into tears andJack tried to console her. Blonde was gutted. It cut deep.
Tumblr media
Sidebar:
Yes Aaron has a son named Robin but he’s 9 years old and other than the name cleverly used for gentle cover of the truth in case damage control is ever needed~ there is no connection to that child or a secret, no showmanship to cover it up or anything that would make Taylor react as she did. Other than his name there is no connection to the words in the song
But the fact that Levi’s birth was announced during the Grammys absolutely does connect.
So I’ll just put a pin in that and move on.
Listening to that ballad yesterday rocked my entire world . It was so soft, gentle and living. So heart wrenching that I just let my emotions flow through me as my mind wandered back gathering and processing all the previous rumors and lore I had heard along the way. It left me rattled as it tumbled through memories. Could it all have been true?
So now I’m just gonna say it out loud running the risk of being attacked and also sounding like a supermarket tabloid…here goes “could Levi be Karlie’s and Taylor’s child?”
I know it sounds crazy…secret love child but …
I’m not trying to out anyone and I want to respect the fact that a child is involved here. Honestly I had second and third thoughts about posting this but if I’m being real ~ it’s also a collective of things that have been shared openly about Taylor and Karlie here for years. Somehow the song was like a puzzle piece that snapped into place.
…those loving words ,the emotion in Taylor‘s voice as she sings about her strong heartfelt attachment to a young toddler, as she encourages him in being wild and free in his wonder years, playing with abandon and roaring at the dinosaurs~
There was real love in those words

She also advocates for him keeping his innocence for as long as possible and then speaks of a secret that a inner circle of people have chosen to keep from him” in sweetness” to protect him and the “showmanship” to cover up that secret that he has no idea of.
And as she watches his unabashed play in his toddler purity she prophesies there will come a time in the future when the world he faces will have harsh words for him and she reminds him that he will bounce back like he now does on his trampoline.

Girl help they're criticizing Alastor's official voice actor for making slightly fan servicy joke posts now, I can't ... 🙄
And I screenshot OP tags because it's giving that one Swiftie going Qanon levels of unhinged in the tags of that one joke post about Taylor Swift and Ron Desantis... You've probably seen it. You know the one.
Well OPs tags are giving off the same energy as that. So OP, if you're reading this... Stop that. And do not block evade me I'm done.

I completely agree with you on this. It's absolutely vile that people will talk about feminism and rights until it comes to a woman they don't like. Because of course it's okay to be misogynistic to a woman you hate. That woman is truly awful, but I'm sure that she has worse qualities than her age and relationship status.
I admit that I can be overly critical and judgmental towards women myself. But, anonymously spewing toxic views into someone's inbox and expecting to be taken seriously is entirely different.
I don’t call out anyone who praised the valid points of the anon, because they were there!
But we must maintain a certain level of respect when speaking as Harry's fans to outsiders. I don't want to end up lumped in with Swifties, who are already seen as the most unhinged and evil fans by the general public. And I’ve got the feeling that’s why DM published the anon. Yet this fandom acts like this was a huge win against her or something.

I seriously worry about Joe’s safety - yes, fans have hated/harassed exes before, but it’s never been at this level (and for NO REASON other than fanfic they’ve made up). he’s so lowkey and doesn’t seem to have/like having a lot of security but these people are unhinged enough that it freaks me out. it doesn’t take a lot for that type of behavior to turn dangerous.
it would genuinely not surprise me if a swiftie tried to hurt him the second they saw him irl. they’re becoming so fucking unhinged.

I don’t know if you want to continue this at all, but I find swiftie internet culture soooo interesting (my stance is that I like her music, but don’t consider myself a swiftie because I’m fairly indifferent to her as a person if that makes sense? I know quite a bit because her impact on culture is interesting)? Like the theories and the secret symbols they pick up (like six stairs, five holes in the fence = countdown), which most of the time aren’t actually there, but every once in a while, the like 1% of theories are actually proved (like the blue outfit rotations recently to signal 1989 tv, or the elevator goes to floor 3 in the bejeweled mv, signalling speak now tv).
oh i would be soooo happy to continue this discussion bc i'm in the same position as you, enjoying her music but not really caring about her/being part of the fandom but God is it interesting to watch the swiftie culture. the theories and secret symbols swifties are always picking up on is definitely one of the most interesting things, because taylor Has set the expectation that she hides symbolism and hints for whats to come in music videos, outfits she wears, etc, swifties now looking for clues in Everything, even where there absolutely is nothing. they often seem to Find things just because they want the symbolism to be there and it's just. so interesting bc, from an outside perspective, the symbols she leaves are often Glaringly obvious, she isn't as much of a mastermind as they act she is like. it is just so so interesting to see how she opened the door for some speculation and hint finding, and it's snowballed into swifties being like. unhinged levels of speculative. a very huge testament to the influence she has over her audience and how insane the power one celebrity can have over the people that like them.

If people want a reason as to why Chris and Alba are trying to keep their wedding and all plans regarding it on the downlow, look no further than Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley's wedding weekend currently happening now. Taylor Swift is a guest, people found out where the rehearsal dinner was/that she was there and broadcast it all over social media, hundreds of people showed up shutting down the streets to the point the police had to show up for crowd and chaos control. I'm not saying that Chris and Alba's wedding would elicit near this kind of response because Swifties are next level insane, but I guarantee that at least some people (both fans with boundary issues and locals of wherever it's happening) would crash their wedding events like that, just on a smaller scale.
There is not a doubt in my mind that Chris fans wouldn’t attempt something similar, even if on a smaller scale. People threatened to crash his sister’s wedding, they’ve stood outside of his property and bragged about it on social media, and they flat up contact businesses they think he could be working with. It’s completely unhinged. Again, it’s no shock to me that they’d stay hush hush just to protect themselves 🦎

I feel like this is the sanest swiftie place on the internet. Your blog rocks. I love it here
maybe on Swiftie matters yes lol but we’re all pretty insane and unhinged like as people. You know what I think it is? And I’m basing this on me and tbh 95% of the personal stories we listen to/deal with/host/try to guide each other through on - we’re fucking BATSHIT CRAZY but we pull our shit together when we talk about Taylor because it’s GENUINELY not that deep. Like all of us have actual real issues lmao of varying degrees of severity and levels of fucking insanity and mess and this is a little escape that allows us not to think about all the crap we should be dealing with and just have fun.
I think the bulk of Swifties either use it the other way round? Like their real lives are boring and normal and this allows them to act out their crazy lol (can’t relate lmao if I’m gonna go act out my crazy I’m gonna go… do some real world crazy shit lmao) OR they’ve got no other life except Taylor (sad if true and like idk I would encourage them to go touch grass and like at minimum maybe go to Taylor meetups in their area? Get some real world drama going yk fuck a fellow swiftie, fuck one over, do SOMETHING).
so I think that’s what it is.
My actual life is fucking bonkers enough that I don’t need to worry about Taylor shit lol and I can just use it… to escape and have fun 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
but thank u.

Apparently she talks about Joe in it. It's probably about the interview I'm guessing, but I'm hoping there's no sources bullshit
I listened to it and it’s nothing new about Joe. Paraphrasing all of this but they both praised him for his interview and then pointed out a few lines from the interview that Joe obviously wanted to get across about the timeline (she still says she hears that they were on a break but not broken up when Eras started), that he repeated the line twice about the gap between what’s known and what’s said, and his line about how right now he doesn’t want to open up about his personal life and wondering if in the future he will since he said “right now.”
They then went on to talk about Taylor cheating on him with Matty and how it’s the most relatable thing about her, and how the Swifties are unhinged. She read an email she got from one of them that was bonkers and said that Swifties need to realize that what Taylor is saying isn’t gospel, and then made a comment that this is the level of maturity and intelligence people have to deal with across the internet when Taylor’s name gets brought up and she called them emotionally and mentally stunted individuals. 😲
lol she has beef with swifties now

Some thoughts on Taylor Swift and the Eras Tour movie
Tumblr media
I’ve been thinking a lot about Taylor Swift recently, but then again who hasn’t? Even if you’re not a fan, or a full blown Swiftie (and yes, it’s possible to be the former but not the latter) assuming you are an American over the age of seven with a pulse, you have almost definitely been exposed to Taylor Swift and the Eras Tour in some capacity over the past six months. As I finish typing this sentence my wife walks into the room, AirPods in, listening to a CEO-hosted town hall meeting and laughs “this guy’s talking about Taylor Swift right now.”
Swift is a cultural force unlike any we’ve experienced in a long time, perhaps ever. Her omnipresence calls to mind what Sarah Silverman’s publicist character says about Andy Samberg's Conner4Real in the great Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. “We'd like to get to the point where Conner is everywhere, like oxygen or gravity or clinical depression.”
From burgeoning high-profile NFL romances to re-recording album announcements to wildly speculative and at times unhinged New York Times stories, Taylor Swift has had varying degrees of dominance in the news cycle this past summer. She’s been essentially a household name since, let’s say 2008, the year she released her sophomore album Fearless. This is all to say I’ve been thinking about Taylor Swift generally because it’s nearly impossible not to, and specifically because I saw the Eras Tour movie yesterday. Like many of her albums, or the 10-minute long version of "All Too Well," it is overlong and uneven and yet still an absolute triumph.
The viewing experience was an ideal one for me. I saw it at the Logan Theater at 3:30 on Sunday with my friend Alex and twelve other people in attendance. When buying tickets, the theater employee said “Yeah, I don’t know why these are more expensive than everything else.” Aside from the fact that Swift simply can charge double the average movie ticket price ($10.53) and still sell out theaters nationwide, I noticed a more obvious reason right there on the ticket stub. Pre-tax, $19.89. There are few things Swift loves more than a coy reference to her mythologized catalogue or an easter egg for fans to tirelessly decode…one is presumably money.
Tumblr media
Which is working out well for her! The movie has grossed around $96 million domestically in its opening weekend and $130 million globally. When watching the movie, or even just listening to her music, it’s sometimes hard to separate the artist (her fame, her millions, her personal life, etc) from the art. As her star has risen, the perception of Swift has become something closer to deity than human being singing about the trials of teenage and young adult life. It’s why a lyric like “I thought I saw you at the bus stop, I didn't though” from “the 1” sounds a bit absurd coming from Taylor Swift, unless of course you interpret this as “I was in the backseat of my fully tinted SUV and thought I saw YOU at a bus stop.” Then again, that would imply Taylor Swift knows anyone who rides the bus, which is itself somewhat implausible.
Ultimately, the reason the Eras movie works—and why the tour itself has been the most successful of all time, if we’re going by dollars and cents—is because the music overshadows these distractions. Not completely, but enough. Taylor Swift is a once in a generation songwriter and a phenomenally talented performer. She also, to paraphrase a tone deaf quote from one of her more recent enemies, works her ass off. She is deserving of her level of adoration (within reason, of course) and of every dollar she has earned.
Questions of what she’s like as a person, the degree to which her image and every move are carefully constructed with a team, how she behaves in her relationships—in theory, none of these things should really matter. They do, however, because 1. we’re naturally curious to know more about the personal lives of the artists we love and 2. a large portion of Swift’s catalogue is at least somewhat autobiographical. But they ought not to! Look, the old presidential candidate question of “could I have a beer with her” might be fun to ponder, but ultimately the answer is essentially worthless when applied to pop stars like Taylor Swift. I really hope Swift is a kind, considerate, authentic person. There is plenty of evidence supporting that she is. She does nice things for her fans (it’s also all in the service of self-promotion, but they’re still nice), seems to be well-liked within her circle of also very famous friends, and she gave $100,000 bonuses to each of her fifty or so Eras tour truck drivers.
The flip side of that coin, is that there is a very good chance that Swift is also at times unpleasant, elitist, extremely difficult to work with, and somewhat annoying/cringe. In other words, she is human. She has been chasing and achieving success and fame in the music industry since she was seventeen years old and, to state the obvious, has never had a normal adult life. She has been very publicly wronged by fellow artists and managers and hounded mercilessly by the press. Her relationships, both platonic and romantic, have been under a microscope for the duration of her career. And while some might say she has invited such scrutiny by writing songs that reference said relationships, she’s still entitled to privacy and respect, and is often granted neither.
The long and the short if it is, it makes complete sense that Taylor Swift is potentially not a walk in the park, because she’s the most famous person in the world and has been through some shit. Watch Miss Americana and draw conclusions for yourself, to the extent that you believe that’s possible.
I entered the Eras movie with all of this baggage that comes with Swift, and it fresh in my mind from having recently read the aforementioned NYT piece. And again I was reminded that, for the most part, it’s not important. The movie took me back to when I saw Swift live in 2018 on the Reputation Tour and reminded me that, while all the external noise surrounding Swift the public figure can be overwhelming, the experience of Swift the musician, Swift the performer is basically unmatched in music today…and even a bit magical.
The visuals, performances, production, choreography—all of it is dazzling and terrific. Much has been made of Swift’s dancing and her vocal range, considered by many to be inferior to female pop contemporaries like Beyonce, Rihanna, and Dua Lipa. Those are fair and accurate criticisms but anyone who claims Taylor Swift is a bad dancer or has significant vocal limitations is fundamentally full of shit. She’s a good dancer! She can’t do what Beyonce does, but she’s really solid! And she’s got some pipes too. Again, she does not have Beyonce or Adele pipes, but in her defense I submit hair raising moments like in “Ready for It” or “Shake It Off” where she really lets the vocals soar and does so beautifully. What’s wonderful about the way Swift dances, the way she sings is that it’s authentically Taylor Swift. Which makes it a whole range of things—fun, joyful, exuberant, spooky, sexy, and above all precise.
It’s a concert film, so they’re not going to include any fuck-ups, but I’d be shocked if there’s been a single major false step or missed note on the Eras Tour, or probably on any of her 2-3 previous tours. Taylor Swift is an undeniable pro. There is nothing loose and shaggy about these performances, which will surprise no one familiar with Taylor Swift and her work. Even the spoken word interludes feel rehearsed at times, which I’ve found a bit irritating in the past, but I’ve come around to. Swift shares a bond with her fans and she wants to talk about it, which in turn perpetuates this bond. No, she cannot possibly be surprised she sold out SoFi stadium, but I genuinely believe her when she gushes about how overwhelmed and honored she is to perform for 65,000 people. When she shares with the audience that The Eras Tour is the most incredible and meaningful thing she’s ever been a part of, it gave me chills. Even the most hardened cynic cannot deny that Taylor Swift has brought a tremendous amount of joy to the world, made her fans feel empowered and strong, set a great example for young women (and men!), and touched countless people emotionally.
Alas, The Eras movie is not perfect. While the Evermore-section includes some cool druid-esque cloaks and backup dancers carrying glowing orbs, it is too long. More deserving eras (can we please just call them albums, since that’s what they are?) in turn get minimal attention, namely Speak Now and the self-titled debut, which receive one song each. And back to my point about Swift doing cringe-worthy stuff, moments like her putting her hands in a heart shape upon finishing a song or leaning her mic to a backup dancer who proclaims “LIKE EVER!!” during “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” are tough to watch. Swift exudes some serious theater-kid energy during songs like “Tolerate It” which features her crawling across a long dining table towards a backup dancer/scorned lover stand-in, throwing glasses and flowers on the floor. I’m not sure it works.
These complaints are minimal compared to the unevenness of the song selection. Taylor Swift has, without a doubt, the best musical back catalogue of any current pop star. She arguably does not have a single bad album, as even her worst, Reputation, has quite a few good to great songs. The highs are high and the lows are often very low. “Look What You Made Me Do” for example should be retired permanently. I know songs like “22” and “Bad Blood” are fan favorites, but they simply are not particularly good, and they should be swapped out for some of the many many great songs she’s written. Maybe erased from history entirely! Just kidding, please don’t kill me, fellow Swifties.
The only moment during my screening that the audience sang along loudly with was the “my ex-man” chant/rap part of “Shake It Off.” There were a few small children behind me who shouted every word. If it was a full theater with singing/screaming/dancing in the aisles throughout the 2 hour 48 minute runtime, it would have been a very different and probably altogether lousy experience. That being said, I get it. We must not forget a vast number of Swifties/Taylor Swift fans are children, and they want to hear her gooey, kid-friendly hits. At the same time though, this is not a through and through kid-friendly show. Swift drops two f-bombs. There’s some suggestive dancing. That’s about it.
But, I think this is enough to warrant a full reworking of the Eras movie setlist, yanking some of those tunes that appeal to 7 to 13-year-olds, and including some of the deeper cuts that are, let’s face it, much more sophisticated and interesting songs. So here we go! Below is a side-by-side of the Eras movie setlist and the ideal setlist I would pick—which I have no doubt will still satisfy a good 75-90% of the fanbase. I am confident Taylor’s team will read this post, relay it to her, and she will promptly implement this new, objectively perfect setlist into future Eras Tour stops! Perhaps a new Eras movie in the works as well? Thank you, and you are welcome!

If you think about the amount of fans gained since the last album and the change in behavior in the fanbase, this makes a lot of sense.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously Taylor has been rapidly gaining fans since rep/Lover time, but the Eras Tour created a new level of parasocial. The extremism of tiktok swifties was replaced with a culture of wanting to be seen as cool and in the in crowd. It was no longer about who could get Taylor's attention or get the most views for their theories, it was more about how many shows you could go to and how you could prove you were a swiftie with status. This listening to leaks (although originating from twitter), shows off a lot of degradation of fandom and how we want to prove "I listened to the album already" and "I have thoughts I need to share" as opposed to the crazy conspiracies and horse girl shenanigans we are used to. Swifties are still unhinged, but recent fans can easily see a leak and check it off their task list instead of having to wait for the entirety of release week. The manners of fandom have gone out the window because we have grown so fast that half the fandom doesn't know how to act.
it does feel like the leaks / listening to leaks is a lot more pervasive this time?

I’m a Black Swiftie and casual 1975 fan and I’m just laughing at this point. People aren’t clocking that a lot of criticism of Taylor is coming from those who don’t like her anyway and unfortunately Swifties have helped to spread their tweets by thinking these are genuine good faith critiques. The amount of Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Gaga accounts I’ve seen hop on this and yet they don’t extend the same level of scrutiny to their faves. Rihanna just recently platformed Johnny Depp at her Savage Fenty show. Her partner is ASAP Rocky whose made disparaging comments about dark skinned Black women and BLM - never saw any pressure for her to dump him by the way. Nicki knowingly married a convicted rapist and sex offender and protected her brother against statutory rape allegations. Gaga worked with R Kelly when there were already industry wide suspicions of him being a pedophile. Yet their fans are the loudest and at the forefront of cancelling Taylor for dating supposedly the worst human being on Earth. This has blown up because Twitter stans like virtue signalling as a way to play tit for tat with their so called rival stans. They are misusing serious terms and words in the most insensitive and frivolous of ways. There are REAL Nazis in the world. REAL Islamaphobes, REAL and dangerous racists. Matty isn’t one of them. He’s a dirtbag leftist who’s got a lesson on how his own privilege blinds him despite positioning himself as anti-racist, pro-women and pro-LGBTQ his whole career. There are honest and reasonable ways of critiquing him without veering into the complete unhinged behaviour I’ve seen in the last 2 weeks.

ok mostly done with the back half of the album so:
TRACK SEVENTEEN: The Black Dog
My sister likes this one so I guess it gets points for that? I don't know, they all kind of sound the same.
TRACK EIGHTEEN: imgonnagetyouback
Also boring. But I do think it would be funny if Olivia Rodrigo sued her over this especially because get him back! is objectively a much better song.
TRACK NINETEEN: The Albatross
I like it okay but yet again I think it'd be so much better if she had even an inkling of an urge to like actually go feral. Like she's thinking about killing you MAYBE. she's not actually going to kill you though.
TRACK TWENTY: Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus
Joe Alwyn stays winning I guess but as a bi person if someone fucking outed me over a breakup for a BONUS TRACK on a shitty album i would lose my fucking mind. really i just wanna know how he feels about it. like did she get permission to do this? no, she absolutely did not.
TRACK TWENTY-ONE: How Did It End?
i forgot this song existed. like i completely do not remember listening to it. this album is really built on the spirit of capitalism and an aesthetic. no emotion. no feeling. no good lyricism (like she's not the lyricist of our generation by any means, but you have to admit that some of hers in the past have been pretty good). no interesting beats. she's been trending this way for awhile but it truly feels like i am listening to the downfall of a great musician.
TRACK TWENTY-TWO: So High School
I think if someone told me I reminded them of high school I'd start crying and then apologize profusely. She's getting dragged for the lyrics in this one, and I understand it but also it's really funny that in her love song to her new boyfriend she still makes a point to be pretentious and call him kind of dumb. Bonus, I believe that if Livvy really set her mind to stooping to Taylor's level, she could sue her over this too.
TRACK TWENTY-THREE: I Hate It Here
I relate to this in a way that is very much that I am a person trapped in their small town who feels like they should be awarded the most of the year just for having the brainpower to realize that this place sucks, but who will not be awarded the most of the year because they have adhd and a deep nihilism so their grades are NOT getting them into an ivy league, lets just say. however. that is not what taylor is singing about. also the 1830s lyric was so clumsy but also why was my first thought of 1830s fashion
TRACK TWENTY-FOUR: thanK you aIMee
this is - and i know it's saying something - the most unhinged song Taylor Swift has ever written. god i hope when i'm thirty-four i don't even remember the people who made fun of me when i was fifteen. also i think "aIMee" has about six hours left before the swifties doxx her. she really thought she got clever with that one, huh.
TRACK TWENTY-FIVE: I Look in People's Windows
I'm sure it's interesting in some really specific way, but like. What way.
TRACK TWENTY-SIX: The Prophecy
This has really just confirmed me that whoever does the Grammys has lost the actual plot if they're planning to award Taylor AOTY over Beyonce. I typically like Taylor more than Bey, but I am also well aware of when music is good. Her stuff just isn't really for me, but it is really good and deserves to be recognized.
TRACK TWENTY-SEVEN: Cassandra
I heard someone say this is about Kanye West and his antisemitism, and I really wouldn't put it past her. All this song does is confirm for me that a) Flomachine really understands Cassandra as a motif pretty well in comparison to the general public, and b) there's some lowkey god complex shit going down in this album.
TRACK TWENTY-EIGHT: Peter
This demonstrates a deep misunderstanding of the works of JM Barrie. She somehow wrote the exact opposite of a Peter Pan narrative while attempting to write a Peter Pan narrative.
TRACK TWENTY-NINE: The Bolter
The hotly contested award for the least subtle metaphor on this album goes to The Bolter. It's not any worse or any better than the rest of the album, I just thought that was worth noting.
TRACK THIRTY: Robin
You will not catch me saying a bad thing about this song, not because I like it, but because I share a name with a track of another of her albums, and the friend who most likes to sing the lyrics of it at me is called Robin.
TRACK THIRTY-ONE: The Manuscript
A song that's not very notable finishing off an album that is even less so. Cheers.
I have too many thoughts so um as someone who is occasionally a casual enjoyer but not a swiftie and who literally never does this, have fun. btw theres a woman named Grace Powers on instagram who made a song out of the track titles and it’s better than the whole album.
so super critical album review from someone who listened to most of it if you want it
TRACK ONE: Fortnight
this song is like. Just boring enough that I don’t actually have the energy to dislike it.
TRACK TWO: The Tortured Poets Department
I mean. It’s about Matty Healy it was never going to be fantastic especially when its competition in that really specific subgenre of pop music is one of the three best songs Ashley ‘Halsey’ Frangipane has ever written.
TRACK THREE: My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys
it would be one of the worse songs on reputation so it’s one of the better songs here.
TRACK FOUR: Down Bad
I forgot about this song to be honest.
TRACK FIVE: So Long, London
I actually do really like this. It’s got imagery and a nice vibe to it. A good sad ballad.
TRACK SIX: But Daddy I Love Him
it is the first of this album’s many unhinged songs, and by far the most calm of their number. It’s okay. Reminiscent of her earlier stuff but with less heart.
TRACK SEVEN: Fresh Out the Slammer
okay so. I had automatic terrible assumptions about a BILLIONAIRE writing a song with this title but it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
TRACK EIGHT: Florida!!!
based on the vibes of this song, I am going to assume that Taylor Swift has never been to any area of Florida outside of Miami. i am not a Floridian, but I know that this is almost laughably stereotypical. I don’t take issue with that - as a Yankee I encourage it - but the Florence + the Machine feature on this song only serves to remind me how much better Florence is than Taylor, at least in terms of her voice. Putting her on backing vocals for the chorus just makes her drown out everything else. This song just made me want to go listen to Morning Elvis again. That said, it’s definitely not bad. I do still like it.
TRACK NINE: Guilty As Sin?
I know nothing of this song.
TRACK TEN: Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?
this song seems more intentionally unhinged than track six, and that makes it almost worse. If there was any conviction behind it, yeah, that would be a good song. However, I do not actually believe she has any plans to start biting people.
TRACK ELEVEN: I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)
it’s fine.
TRACK TWELVE: loml
it’s alright. Wish I remembered anything about it.
TRACK THIRTEEN: I Can Do It With A Broken Heart
she’s railing against the golden cage she’s in, but who locked the door and then promptly had the bars reset so they were shiny, Taylor???
TRACK FOURTEEN: The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
also pretty forgettable.
TRACK FIFTEEN: The Alchemy
simply the most forgettable.
TRACK SIXTEEN: Clara Bow
I don’t know why, but this song Got To Me. I audibly wailed at the end of this song. I have no clue what about this one motivates me, but it is just so good to me specifically. I said, “if the Clara Bow song is bad, im so done” and it wasn’t bad.

MOST swifties on tumblr, this is just a fun internet hobby, and being a stick-in-the-mud well ackchyually guy is not necessary all the time. and, philosophically, who even cares if fans are "siding" with taylor without knowing all the facts. it's celebrity gossip. it's just a good time!
This would be true and not a big deal if they don't harass and send death threats by assuming whatever discourse the Fandom has as the ultimate truth.
anon, i don't know which tumblrs you follow, but the ones i follow aren't sending death threats to joe. were some of them being annoying about emma? yes. do i consider that an unforgivable sin on the same level as telling someone to kill themselves? no.
i love it when you guys send messages like this because it is ALWAYS something i tried to preemptively address - like, i had written then deleted a sentence in my last reply, saying "MOST tumblr swifties i follow aren't sending death threats or being unhinged in instagram comments," but i deleted it because i figured you would know that i'm not condoning that and figured we are both reasonable enough not to make that blanket assumption.
like how about we stop taking everyone in the worst faith possible and just enjoy a fun hobby in our own way. or is that just what i try to do fajsdkl

The people on FauxMoi have a reached such a level of unhinged that I’ve seen people on popheads think they’re not to be trusted and have an unhealthier obsession with Taylor than some Swifties
They are fr like OBSESSED haters. I used to frequent the sub a good bit but now it's impossible bc every single little thread turns in to a Taylor bash fest
