About Matty realizing he's in love with Y/n,

Well, it's a difficult question...their past is still very unknown, even for me 😅 I've started testing the idea that they knew each other for years and then they found each other again but I'm not so sure about it. I'm thinking about writing the prequel...it'll be a long process and I can't promise when I'll share it but I'm trying to find the time. I did say i can't stay away from writing very long, and I miss writing them A LOT!

Apart from that (lol), I think and he told her during 'All I Need' that he'd been in love with her since the start, which I profoundly believe but with a twist. What Matty means saying that is that there's not a single time that he hasn't been in love with her...although this doesn't equals he was comfortable with the information at first. Matty being Matty (very stubborn) thought at the early stages of their relationship that he could control his emotions and stuff, and what he felt about Y/n was just excitement, a crush or something like that...but oh boy he was down for her since the start.

I believe the first time he fully realized he was indeed in love was after they found out Y/n was pregnant and the band was in the exact middle of writing/producing BFIAFL...I can see him rereading his lyrics and recording parts of 'All I Need To Hear' (not even 'I'm In Love With You'), feeling a pang on his chest, his blood dropping all down and thinking 'fuck, i love her'. And he cries about it in front of George probably, because he felt/think it's one-sided when Y/n was in love with him too but deeply scared too (they're really two idiots at first haha).

Another moment I feel is very important (a bit cliché but i see this happening) is during Amelia's birth. Matty wanted to take Y/n pain, help her somehow even though he knew he only could held her hand and whisper encouraging words. And when a nurse passed Amelia's little body to him so he could bring her closer to the mother...Matty is deeply in love with their child but with Y/n too, and he dared leaving a peck on Y/n's lips because he needed to show her somehow what he felt at the moment.

I'm so emo rn after this haha thanks for reading and liking this silly little universe means EVERYTHING <3

There's a lot happening, work is simultaneously going well and not really (we have a lot of cases but there's uncertainty if I'll stay bc there is no paid post for me to fill once I graduate and become a full fledged social worker).
