Tumblr media
dusk is joined by a soft gleam of sunlight streaming in through barred windows. the light does little to illuminate the room. large shadows creep along the walls all around you, though monsters are no longer hidden within their darkness.
the storage room is stuffy; it’s filled to the brim with miscellaneous cleaning supplies and stacks of abandoned file cabinets line the back wall. above you, the building creaks beneath the weight of its residents’ movements, emitting quiet groans of disapproval. the walls do little to block out any noise, allowing occasional thumps and scrapes of the monsters lurking throughout to fill the otherwise quiet room.
CHA HYUNSU looks at you like you hung the stars in the sky. like the universe only exists within the palm of your hand. like he’s never seen something so beautiful that it’s impossible to look away from.
“are you alright?” hyunsu asks quietly. your shoulders just barely brush against each other as he steps onto the plastic crates you’ve arranged into a makeshift seat to sit beside you. pulling his knees up to his chest, he leans his back against the thick concrete pillar in the center of the room.
“yeah,” you sigh. hyunsu’s heart skips a beat in his chest when you shift closer, leaning your shoulder against his own - gentle, but impossible to miss. “i’m just a little cold.”
hyunsu hums. with limited power in the building and an apocalypse on the horizon, the air conditioning and heat had been regulated only to be used during emergencies. the nights were freezing, leaving you only with the clothes on your back to keep you warm.
“here,” hyunsu fidgets with the zipper of his jacket as he clumsily slips it off, gingerly wrapping it around your shoulders. it hangs loosely around your frame, threatening to fall off of your shoulders with any harsh movements.
his fingers nervously curl into his palms, anxiously awaiting your reaction. his nails leave crescent marks indented into his skin. he has to make a conscious effort to relax enough not to break skin.
“thank you,” you smile brightly. tension rolls off of his shoulders in waves with your acceptance. hyunsu’s jacket smells like off-brand laundry detergent when you slip your arms into the sleeves. you can just barely make out the bloodstains on the dark fabric, though you don’t mention them.
“yeah,” hyunsu takes a shaky breath. the cool night air stings against his now-exposed forearms but it’s nothing he can’t handle. he presses the inside of his left arm closer to his side, turning to face you with a soft smile. “of course.”
hues of dark purple and blue paint the sky above. the usual hum of crickets has been silenced; it’s replaced instead by the screeches and groans of monsters slinking around nearby. hyunsu stiffens when you shuffle slightly closer to him, just enough to lean your head against his shoulder.
he can feel each steady thump of his heart beating in his chest. butterflies swarm throughout his stomach, angrily making their presence known. “hyunsu.” his name drips with sweetness like honey when it leaves your lips.
you reach over, slowly taking his hand into your own. hyunsu remains perfectly still, allowing you to intertwine your hand with his own. your fingertips trace along the grooves of his knuckles, scraping against a stray blood stain he had forgotten to clean. if he didn’t know any better, he would run from the contact.
“yeah?” he answers. hyunsu’s worries slip away when you give his hand a reassuring squeeze; the pressure is just barely enough to be felt.
you’re looking at him now, studying his sharp features. somehow, hyunsu feels safe beneath your gaze. “can i kiss you?” you whisper.
hyunsu’s breath catches in his throat. he blinks once. twice. he waits, long enough for you to take it back, apologies spilling from your lips and your hand leaving his own.
but you don’t.
he nods shakily, still almost in disbelief. his eyes flutter closed when you lean in. hyunsu’s lips are chapped when they meet yours. youll have to remind him to ask for another bottle of water in the morning. his fingertips trace against the edge of your jaw, hesitantly cradling your face in his shaky hands. each movement is slow and deliberate, as if he’s afraid of making the wrong move and scaring you off entirely.
time seems to freeze around you. for just a few moments, the world fades away. there are no more bullies to face on the way to class. there are no monsters lingering in the dark. there are no people and their judgemental glares and invasive questions and .
for just a few moments, all that exists is you. your arms snaking around his shoulders. your hand carefully threading through stray strands of hyunsu’s overgrown hair. your lips pressed against his.
he doesn’t dare to pull away until you do. heat floods into his cheeks, spreading across his face and tinting his ears a deep pink. hyunsu’s wide eyes shine even in the darkness as he silently studies your features for any hint of discomfort. “was that okay?”
you smile softly, reaching up to gingerly rest cup his face in your hand. hyunsu’s face feels hot when your thumb caresses his cheek. “it was perfect.”
shivers race down hyunsu’s spine when your fingertips trace against the faint acne scars that decorate his face like constellations. he quietly sighs, leaning into your touch and letting you continue your ministrations without complaint. “thank you,” you murmur.
hyunsu’s eyebrows furrow slightly. he shifts just enough to look down at you in confusion. “for what?”
you tug the sleeves of hyunsu’s jacket up over your hands, toying with the fabric between your fingers. leaning upwards slightly, you press a feather-light kiss against his flushed cheek. “for everything.”

Tumblr media
“did you see his eyes when he was talking about you?”
“what the hell are you talking about, eun-yu?” you questioned the girl who just so happened to be your only close friend in the mess you found yourself in.
save for hyun-su, of course. the hyun-su who killed monsters for you every time you encountered one without fail. the hyun-su who always went to retrieve items for you whenever you asked. the hyun-su, who was the only person you could have deep, meaningful conversations with. your hyun-su.
“you have the same look in your eyes when you talk about him; you know that, right?” eun-yu interrupted your train of thought.
“and what look are we exactly talking about?” you responded, knowing you had an incredulous look on your face.
hyun-su was simply your friend. simply your friend that you enjoyed talking to and spending time with. nothing more, nothing less.
“it’s like your eyes are so full of,” she paused for a beat. “romance. it’s disgusting. when are the both of you going to own up to your feelings and confess?”
“now you're delusional if you think hyun-su and i are anything other than friends. whatever “romance” you think you see is most definitely your eyes playing tricks on you.” you were quick to respond, not wanting your friend to get any unbelievable ideas about your friendship with hyun-su.
it’s not that you didn't want to think you didn't like hyun-su; you just didn't like him like that. like a crush, or a lover, or a boyfriend, or whatever the hell eun-yu was thinking. you couldn't like him like that.
you didn't like him like that when he killed monsters for you, whenever he got something for you, or whenever you two had conversations you couldn't have with anyone else.
you couldn't like him like that. especially not when neither of you was guaranteed to live another day with the monsters roaming around your apartment.
“right. anyways, talk to me when you finally confess your undying love to him. we all know he won't be the one doing the confessing.” was the last thing she said before sending a teasing wink your way and going off to do whatever it is she does.
though, her words left you thinking, did hyun-su have a romantic look in his eyes when he talked about you? more importantly, did you have the same look in your eyes?
but, those were questions for another time. questions for when you finally figure out the feelings you had for your "friend." if there were any feelings there at all.
Tumblr media
the next time you saw hyun-su was when he and eun-yu were talking in the dimly lit stairwell.
you walked up to the both of them on the stairs, curious to see what they were talking about this time (and totally not being in their business).
“speak of the devil.” eun-yu mumbled, although playful, as you approached the two.
you raised an eyebrow at her words but greeted her and hyun-su nonetheless.
“hello to you too, i guess. and hi hyun-su. it’s nice to see you.”
“hi. it’s nice to see you too.” he responded, being his usual awkward self.
eun-yu shared a brief look with you before looking at hyun-su, then getting up.
“i guess i’ll leave you two.” she grinned at you before she walked off to whatever corridor of the apartments.
she was trying to set you up with hyun-su. especially with the prior conversation you two had, she was trying to get you to “confess your undying love to him.” her words, not yours.
but now was not the time to dwell on your past conversation, now was the time to talk to your "friend,” hyun-su.
talking to him always felt weird. not weird, as in, he was weird, but weird in a way you couldn’t describe it. you frankly didn't understand it. your past conversation with eun-yu had you pondering your feelings for hyun-su, and whether it was really as romantic as eun-yu claimed it to be.
“are you okay?” hyun-su’s question interrupted your train of thought, which happened quite regularly.
“yea, i’m fine. how are you?” you responded casually.
“i think i’m fine. as fine as i can be after having to be locked up for however long.” he laughed, trying to make light of the situation.
you giggled in response, glad to see how he could be so positive despite being treated like actual shit by everyone around him.
“i’m sorry, though. that you had to be treated like that.”
“it’s nothing that can be done about it. besides, it’s in the past now.” he responded, uncharacteristically calm about his entire predicament.
“are you sure, hyun-su? we treated you like really terrible.”
“i’m telling you it’s fine. i’m with you now anyway,” he muttered the last part as if he didn’t want you to hear it.
it didn’t matter anyway. he meant it in a friendly, “i’m glad you could be there for me as someone i can talk to” way, right?
after he said that, there was a moment of silence. not the awkward, tense-filled silence. but the type of comfortable silence where you could sit and not feel like you had to talk to fill in the silent gaps.
“but, you know, i’m always here for you, right?” hyun-su asked quite seriously.
“i know. always.” you responded without hesitation.
Tumblr media
the third time you saw hyun-su was when he saved you from getting your ass handed to you by a monster. he came in the moment before your life ended.
you were grateful for him saving you, but you hated the fact that he constantly put his life on the line to save people, even if they wouldn’t do the same for him. not to say that you wouldn't do the same for him, but you knew some people just wouldn't.
“hyun-su, what the fuck was that?”
“what?” he responded to your question, obviously caught off guard by your aggressive demeanor.
“you could have, i don’t know, maybe died just now?”
“i’m sorry. i was just trying to keep you safe.” he responded.
you felt bad for blowing up at him, but you couldn’t help it after seeing how he put his own life on the line for you. you knew he couldn’t technically die. but you still didn’t know what you would do with yourself if he lost his life trying to save yours.
“i’m sorry, i just got worried. i don’t want you dying for me.” you said with a sigh.
“i wouldn’t mind dying for you; you know that, right?”
his words caught you off guard, especially with the nonchalance he said them with. like he would actually die for you without any hesitation.
“are you crazy, hyun-su?”
“even worse.”
“what’s worse?”
“in love.”

My insecure boy
Cha hyun su x reader
The night grenn home was demolished by the army and hyun su lost his memory, you chose to flee, abandoning your friends and HIM. It wasn't your choice. He advised you to leave because he believed that if you stayed with the others you'd be killed. So he packed you a bag, all the food he could find and some weapons.
"I don't know who you are anymore, but I feel you're dear to me. I promise I'll find you later, but right now you've got to get away from here.
"But what about the others? I can't leave them like this, they're waiting for us."
"If we all stay together, do you really think we'll survive? We're running out of time. Leave before the building is demolished"
So you ran away at his request, really hoping to find him later.
D+345 after monsterserification
Pov de hyun su
after yi-kyeong transformed
Eun-yoo followed her friend's monster. He had told her he was there to find the person for whom hyun su refused to succumb to monsterserification.
"If hyun su knew where she was all the time, why didn't he go and meet her sooner?"
"She's fragile right now. He thinks that by protecting her from afar, she'll be safer and more at peace".
They continued forward, chatting. Arriving in a valley far from "the city", Eun-yoo wanted to know more about this mysterious person, and frankly, the monster was getting fed up.
He raised his head to eunyoo's level and spoke to her about the spell that had created such tension when they were both in the building.
"Why are you taking so long to find out who this person is? Does knowing that he cherishes and protects this girl more than you does make your miserable human blood boil inside you? "
"No, I don't know what you're talking about." she said defensively.
"Oh, so I'm wrong. Am I also wrong that you wanted to cuddle him from the moment you saw him, that if he'd really been talking so boldly to you in that room, you'd have jumped on him? "
An argument broke out between the two. But the instant his gaze fell on her, hyun su's eyes changed from blue to their original color. It only took one look to regain possession of her body.
"She's... She gave birth..."
He knew she was carrying their children, but not that she'd given birth yet.
At that moment he hadn't listened to eun-yoo for a while. With his heart pounding, he ran to her and embraced her. But when she met the sound of his footsteps on the grass, he stopped dead in his tracks. All kinds of ideas came to mind
Will she be angry with me for leaving her all this time?
What if she doesn't want me anymore?
What if she rejected me?
What if she didn't want me around the baby? OUR child
I listened to her call me so many times, but I didn't come.
It was her voice that snapped me out of my reverie
"Hyun su? Is that you? "
Without missing a beat, he hugged her warmly, and she hugged him back. His doubts evolved.
"I'm sorry I didn't come earlier. I don't have any. I left you alone for so long to fend for yourself, I thought it was for the best but-"
"Chute, it's okay. Better late than never, right? "
They exchange a soft, passionate, loving kiss. Only the baby's chirping on his beloved's breast could stop them. Together they enter the little hut that serves as y/n's roof. The hut soon becomes their home

Yes, eun-yoo was forgotten.

Two in One - Cha Hyunsu
Tumblr media
“Stay here.”
It wasn’t a statement; it was a demand. One that you didn’t want to obey.
It was also the last thing you remember before waking up. You were resting against your shared bed while Hyunsu dabbed a cloth into a bowl of water, wringing out the excess so it wouldn't make a mess.
As the grogginess faded, your eyes looked him over. He was completely covered in scrapes, gashes, and even as his arm dabbed the cloth onto your head, it was shaking.
“I-“ You paused, tears welling in your eyes as you looked him over. You knew he’d be fine in a few hours, but he would’ve been fine already if you just listened. “I’m sorry-” You sniffed.
“None of that matters.” He cut you off with a weak smile, his hand moving to gently lay on your shoulder. “You’re safe. I’m safe.” He paused to take a breath, his arm moving from your shoulder to cup the side of your face. “We’re okay.” He finished. The look in his eyes softened as he looked at you. Partially relieved, partially lost in the way yours still held onto the worry from before.
You don’t know when the gap between the two of you closed or when your shirt was pulled off, but as you started slipping down the headboard, your hands came up to wrap around him, trying to pull him closer. A small hiss came out of him and you realized you must have held a little too tight.
“Sorry,” You whispered with a small smile, one that he returned.
“It’s okay.” He chuckled, grabbing your hand and placing it on the top of his arm instead. You moved your other hand to match on the opposite side. “Just don’t squeeze too hard.”
“Are you sure you don’t want me on top?” You gave him a weak smile.
“That might be worse, actually.” He laughed before his lips were back on you. The hand that wasn’t supporting him above you trailed down to the waistband of your shorts, easily sliding under them.
He was always soft with you, but you learned to love it. With how hectic your everyday lives were, being able to enjoy some peace with him was more than welcomed.
“Hyunsu,” You whispered as his finger reached your clit, drawing slow circles while he leaned down to press kisses along your neck.
“Shh,” He smirked against you. “I know.” He slowly slid two fingers inside you, the kiss deepening as your hips worked to try and give him a better angle.
“I don’t want to wait.” You whispered. “I want more. I can take it.” You looked up at him pleadingly. He gave you a look that told you he didn’t trust you.
“So impatient.” He gave you a soft smile as he pulled his hand away. You almost spoke up but watched eagerly as slid to the end of the bed before getting up, taking your shorts and underwear with him.
He wasted no time spreading your legs. His fingers spread you open, and his tongue gave you a few kitten licks before flattening against you. His eyes flicked up to watch you, a small smile on his face when he saw your hand reaching for his hair.
You let your eyes fall closed as you tried to relax, but you couldn’t help the guilt that tugged at you. You should be taking care of him, but he was always so giving.
You could, however, feel yourself grinding against his face as his lips wrapped around your clit, sucking mercilessly. He brought his fingers back up to start where he left off and he couldn’t help but look up to watch you, his eyes staying on you this time.
He watched as your mouth parted in a silent moan as your eyes screwed shut. It was new to you for him to be fast paced and it was embarrassing how the change affected you. You couldn’t keep still and his free arm came around to grip on your thigh. Holding it down and open.
“Hy-Hyun-“ You felt yourself getting close, small whimpers of his name fell from your lips as your grip on his hair got tighter.
Until he pulled away.
“Don’t tell me he lets you cum that easily when you can’t even follow simple directions.” His tone was different and when you looked up, his eyes had blacked out. He scoffed as you tried catching your breath, his eyes turning blue. “Don’t be so surprised.” He smiled. “You should be glad I took over. He’s in no shape to be doing any of this.”
“How long have you been here?” You swallowed hard, your breath steadying some.
“Sweetie,” He tsked. “Don’t you remember his arm was hurt? How could he have possibly held you down like that?”
Your eyes widened in horror before you tried to pull your legs away from him. He was quick to stop you, pulling you back towards him.
“Maybe if you had listened to him better, I’d let you.” He tsked. “But with how much energy he used to save you, he’s not strong enough to come back right now.” He smiled down at you, and you hated that you felt yourself clench at the situation you were in. “So, I guess you’re stuck with me.”
You watched helplessly as he spread your legs again, pinning them down.
“Don’t look at me like that.” He smiled as he watched your reaction. “We both know you’re dying to have him be rougher with you.” His smile grew. “I could see it, y’know.” He narrowed his eyes at you as his finger trailed up your leg.
“When he’s on top of you, you never seem to be enjoying yourself.” His finger ran along your leg. “When he’s eating you out, you wish he wouldn’t pull away as soon as you cum.” He smirked, his other hand running up your opposite leg.
“You want to be used.” He emphasized the word by cupping his hand around you, his palm pressing deliciously against your clit. You couldn’t help but roll your hips into it.
“Even know.” He scoffed. “You know I’m not him, but you’re still turned on.” He tilted his head. “Is it him you really want?” He started, pressing against you harder, reveling in the whine you let out. “Or is it that you don’t have anyone else?”
“Shut up.” Your words were contradicting your actions. “If you were wearing anyone else’s face, this wouldn’t be happening.”
“He’s upset, you know.” He faked a sad tone, ignoring your statement. “He’s yelling at me, threatening me even, to take my hands off of you.” He watched you buck into his hand. “How about you tell him that you’re the one touching me?”
The thought of Hyunsu watching this pinged at your heart but it also turned you on. He didn’t want anyone else touching you. He didn’t want anyone else on you. But at the same time, it was him.
“It should be you watching.” You spat, trying your best to control your hips.
“I don’t think you’ve grasped the situation.” He let out an amused chuckle as he pulled his hand away. “I could have-“ He paused to correct himself as he crawled over you. “We could have died.” He narrowed his eyes at you. “And as much as he’s just glad you’re alright, I’m a bit pissed.” His face was right in front of yours. “Sure, it would take us a while to heal, but you could have died.”
“And I’d have to hear him mope about it for god knows how long.” He sighed. “So, you can deal with me,” He cocked his head to the side. “Or you can deal with an unconscious Hyunsu.” He cocked his head to the other side. “Your call.” He smirked. “But with how tight you’re gripping onto me I don’t think you want me to stop.”
You hadn’t noticed, but your hand had gripped onto his forearm at some point. The one that previously on you.
“Like I said.” You quickly snatched you hand back. “It’s because you look like him.” You spat. “I would never touch you.”
He laughed as he backed off, pushing himself off the bed in the process.
“You can act all you want.” He walked to the side of the bed. “But we both know you’re not as against me as you’re trying to be.” As he was talking, he let Hyunsu’s normal eyes come back. You could see a gash on his head disappearing. “Not when this pretty face is the one talking.”
You almost felt like you were cheating the way you felt yourself clench at nothing. You did wish Hyunsu was rougher. You did want him to stop treating you like you would break if he put any pressure on you. As you were lost in thought, he was on your side, his hands grabbing your face to make you look at him.
“I can hear your heartbeat speeding up, y’know.” His tone was cocky, and you almost forgot it wasn’t really Hyunsu. “I don’t know why he treats you like you’re so fragile.” He scoffed, squishing your cheeks so your lips were pursed, letting out a small laugh when your hands came up to slap his away. “It looks like you can handle yourself.”
“Besides,” He smiled, his eyes blue again. “Even if he comes back, you’ll still have to put up with me until he’s strong enough to hide me away completely.” He paused, his smile growing sinisterly wide. “You don’t want me to hurt him now, do you?”
“You wouldn’t.” Your eyes locked on his and he only chuckled.
“I could lock him up in here for as long as I like.” He pointed to his head, letting out a laugh. “Especially when you like being reckless enough to put him in that state.”
“Either way, you got what you want, now bring him back.” You ignored his comment, putting all your effort into trying your best to sound like you meant what you were saying.
“You think I’ve sat idly all this time that I’m going to settle for finishing something I didn’t start?” He chuckled as he undid the belt he was wearing.
“You want him back?” He scoffed again, pulling the belt free. “If you wanted him so bad you wouldn’t put his life at risk like that, now would you?” He said as he walked back towards you, motioning to your hands.
The threat against Hyunsu had you complying.
“If it wasn’t for me taking over, do you really think he’d be fine?” He faked a pout as he stretched the belt out and easily tied your wrists. He knew you knew the answer, but he still felt the need to continue. “There’s no him without me.”
He pinned your wrists above your head, smirking down at you as your breath hitched.
“You should hear him.” He whispered, his face right in front of yours. “Looks like you might get what you want from him when does get back.” He pulled away, making his way back to the end of the bed, his arms running along your legs before stopping at your thighs. His firm hold had your head spinning.
“But for now, we’re going to go over some rules, yeah?” He smiled, pressing kisses along the insides of your thighs. “If you can prove you learned how to listen, I’ll fuck you like you want.” He smirked as you struggled, letting Hyunsu’s normal eyes come back.
“And you can pretend it’s your pretty little boyfriend doing it.”

gege kink!ricky but u r doing it in his car 🙈
No, because bonus points if you're interacting with someone older in a social setting so you have to use honorifics. Ricky can't do anything but mumble about how useless honorifics are anyways while gripping onto his glass. When he feels the conversation's gone on a little too long and your voice has gotten a little too flirty, he cuts it short.
"Sorry ge, we have a big day tomorrow."
You don't even get to say your goodbyes before he's got you on his arm and speed walking back to the car. It also doesn't take long for him pull out of the lot and onto the road.
You know what his deal is, but where's the fun in apologizing so quickly?
"You're the only one I like calling gege, you know." You drag your finger over his arm, smirking when he grips the wheel. "To others, it's just a word."
"Shut up." He formed a smirk of his own. "We both know you get off on using it against me."
"Gege~" You gave him a pout, reveling in how his teeth pulled at his lips. He hated how well you knew him, but he always had a comeback.
"Say it one more time and I'm pulling over."
It wasn't a threat, and it made your heart race. He knew how much you liked having him in his car. The smell of leather mixed with the warm, exotic scent of his cologne always did add to the heat of the moment.
"And what if I want that?" Your finger traced up to his neck to trace his tattoo. You batted your lashes as he shivered. "Gege~"
He normally tried to break slow, but he couldn't help it. His foot pushed the brake petal and the car stopped harsh enough for the seatbelts to lock. You reached to undo yours, but he was quick to stop you.
"You got two options, baby." He smirked as undid his belt before reaching over. "I can take you on the hood of the car." He batted his own lashes before pulling on the strap of your belt so it tightened. His hand teasingly ran from your neck to your chest, his eyes locking on yours when he reached the hem of your skirt.
"Or you can stay like this so I can play for a bit."

never scared | cha hyunsu
Tumblr media
hyunsu is worried you're scared of him, but you reassure him.
- hyunsu x gn!reader | - fluff + slight angst
Tumblr media
"Why do you love me?" Hyunsu looked at you with tears in his eyes. He didn't want you to see him like this, but he couldn't help it.
"Baby," you sighed quietly as you continued to clean his dried blood from his nose. "Why are you asking me that?"
"Oh come on," Hyunsu laughed despite his tears falling down his face. "You've seen what happens to me. What if I hurt you because of this infection.. what if-"
"Hyunsu," you held his face gently, tracing your thumb across his jawline. "Infected or not, I love you. And if I'm infected too, I'll be like you."
"How do you know that?" He asked, voice shaky.
You pressed a soft kiss on his temple once you finished cleaning the dried blood. He relaxed with your touch - you smiled. "Hey, I don't know at all, but I know I love you a lot."
"I love you too," he replied back. "I'm so lucky to have you with me. I can't thank you enough."
"You don't have to thank me for anything, sweetheart. You're like an angel to me," you set the cloth down on the table, then looked back at Hyunsu. "Come here."
Hyunsu took the hand you offered. You led him to your shared bed and invited him to lay down with you. "What are we doing?"
"Cuddling," you laughed quietly as you snuggled up against his chest. "You're so warm."
Hyunsu gave you a kiss on the top of the head. He was a bit hesitant at first, but you loved when his lips finally met the top of your head.
Then, remained a bit of silence. The comforting silence - not the awkward type. You loved when he held you and when you held him.
"Y/N?" Hyunsu's voice was gentlen when he spoke once more.
"Yes?" You replied back.
"How come you aren't like everyone else in the other apartments?" He asked.
"What do you mean?" You adjusted your head back on his chest.
"Well, everyone is scared of me, or... they don't like me. They want to use me for specific things, I don't know why." He said.
"They aren't nice people. They're scared to trust us because we're younger, but we are stronger because we ignore them. I'm not scared of you, I would never be," you answered back. "I see the love within you. And trust me, it's bigger than thr world."
Hyunsu was silent for a moment as you continued. "I'm lucky enough to see how much you care and how much you love me. If they can't see it, I can. But no, I will never be scared of you, because you're my everything."
The man suddenly hugged you tightly. You jumped at first, but then you registered what was going on. "I love you. I love you so much, baby."
"I love you more, Hyunsu," you smiled. "Why don't you turn off the lamp and we can try to get some sleep, okay?"
Hyunsu nodded and reached over toward the lamp, turning it off in the process. The room was now dark besides the light peaking in from the outside. Emergency lights were on due to the apocalypse starting, but at least there was still bits of light.
"I love you," you snuggled closer to Hyunsu. "I'll get something for us tomorrow. Breakfast better be good."
"You think it will be? If that old man would've given us some food from his store then it would've been good, but no, he's selfish." Hyunsu scoffed.
You giggled at Hyunsu's sudden outburst. "That's true, but at least we'll have... something, right?"
"Right," he said. "Goodnight, I love you."
"I love you more," you replied. "Have a good sleep."

Beauty&Beast's Yanderes (Headcanons/Scenario) Yanderes Daki&Gyutaro X Reader (Demon Slayer)
[Hello, My Sexy Muffins! I am back with a new chapter! This one is with Yanderes Daki and Gyutaro NO SWEET HOME ALABAMA Stuff they are just sharing the reader and doing nothing with each other! Enjoy this chapter!]
(Disclaimer 1: There is no family nasty stuff in this! They are just sharing not doing stuff with each other. THEY ARE NOT INTO EACH OTHER!
Disclaimer 2: Daki and Gyutaro are not yandere in canon! This is just for fun and not to be taken seriously at all! Simping for fictional characters and yanderes is fine! Just do not be illegal or gross about it! You know who you are! You Dirty, Flaky, Biscuits! Yanderes are not ideal partners to have in real life! Also, remember to separate fiction from reality and headcanon from canon! Thank you!)
-Yandere Headcanons With Daki and Gyutaro Sharing Gender Neutral Reader From Demon Slayer-
.Daki is a princess more or less and she loved and adored you, she would want you to be her darling first.
.And when she heard that Gyutaro felt the same way about you, she would be more than willing to share you with her brother.
.Gyutaro would be fine sharing you with Daki as well.  .They both are willing to share you, but no one else.
.As Yanderes they work their best with you when they work together.
.Gyutaro would be the firmer one and would make sure you are nice to daki.
.Because daki is his sister and her happiness comes first and that is what matters the most to him.
.Although he wants you to be just as happy as well.
.You and his sister are the people he holds most dear to his heart and who he would kill for.
.No one made his sister cry and no one touched you as you belong to him and daki.
.They are both very possessive in their own ways.
.Gyutaro sees you as the one good thing other than his sister that has happened to him in his life and for that, he is never letting anything take you away from him.
.Daki sees you as the only one good enough for her and that she and her brother are the only ones good enough for you!
.You belong to them and for that, you should be grateful that they chose you.
.Also you should be grateful that they kept you safe and took good care of you.
.They slaughter their rivals not even giving them a second chance.
.They tried to get close to you which is unacceptable as you belong to them and them alone.
.They would not want any other, man, woman, or person to be that close to you.
.They also would make sure you knew better than to have wandering eyes.
.You will only have eyes for them and they will make sure of that.
.They were your beauty and your beast, and you were theirs.
.They are both the petty types of yanderes and also the jealous type of yanderes.
.They once again do not want you to be with anyone else so if you even looked at someone too long they would kill that person.
.Also if anyone looked at you too long they would kill that person as well.
.They may even lock you away in a home in the entertainment district to keep you to themselves.
.That way you would depend on them for food and water.
.And you would be able to see them and only them.
.Of course, they would worry if you were safe during daylight.
.They would confess their love to you with Daki starting it off and she would let her brother come out of her body.
.Where he will join in confessing their love.
.Of course, this will freak you out, but if you did not run, and did accept their love.
.They would be shocked but really happy and you would most likely have them taking turns with making love to you.
.You were their love and they would show you how much you meant to each of them~
.But if you did reject their love and ran from the demon pair.
.Gyutaro would have cut your legs, making you fall and standing over you.
.Telling you how dumb you were to reject their love and now they had to teach you what happens to you when you run from your lovers.
.They would teach you this lesson in various ways until you were begging them for forgiveness and promising to never ever run again.
.Of course, they tell you if you do they will kill your family and or friends and turn you into a demon.
.You did not want to become a demon, but if you accept their love or not, they will one day turn you into a demon.
.That was the one thing you will never ever escape.
.You belong to them and you will spend eternity with your beauty and beast Yanderes.
(Now The Scenario)  (Daki and Gyutaro, Upper Moon 6) (Run, Reader Run)  (No One's POV)
You worked as a professional drink maker. Mostly teas and you were hired out at the houses in the entertainment district. To make and serve drinks for guests and private parties. This is where you met her, the Orain of one of the three houses. You would find her staring intensely at you and you would always bow your head and keep your eyes down. She looked like she could kill you if she wanted to. You also were realizing any of the women who spent too much time around you would end up taking their own lives. Or at least that is what everyone thought.
Daki, she was killing every worthless girl that tried to get close to you. You belong to her and her brother. You did not belong to worthless ugly girls. Finally, she was going to confess to you, it was her first night off in a while and she went to your tea shop as you were closing. You locked up, the streets were empty and quiet and you turned around almost running into her.
"Oh! I am sorry!" You apologize bowing to her. "I did not hear you."  "It is okay, I have something I want to tell you, open your shop." She orders you and you slowly do, you have a sense of dread building in your gut.
You stepped in and said you would make a fresh pot of tea. She sat down and waited for you as you made the fresh pot and served it. You had noticed she never drank your tea, and you had never seen her eat either.
She did not eat or drink human food that is, because she is a demon who eats the flesh of humans and drinks their blood.
"What did you need to tell me?" you ask her playing with your cup of tea.  "I wanted to tell you that I am in love with you, and I want you to be mine." She says directly and your eyes widen and you blush.
A Beautiful woman like her? Did she love you?
"I-"  She cuts you off. "Actually I have to correct myself. We Love you." She tells you and something starts to form out of her neck.  "What the hell!" You demand standing up and your tea cup smashes into the flour.
"Thank you for getting their alone, Daki." A gravelly voice comes out and your eyes widen in fear. "It is finally good to see our darling with my own eyes."  "D-D-Demon!" You cry out and turn to run.
There was no way something like that could be human! You had to get away!  You felt something slice into your leg and you screamed out, falling to the floor, your leg seeping blood from the slash on it.  "You are really dumb, honey." The man says. "Running from our love like that! What do you have another lover to get home to... Makes me really jealous thinking someone else can enjoy your face! You are ours!"  You flip yourself on your back and look at the man in fear, the demon grinned at you. "Now be a good little darling for us, or I will have to cut off your legs, and if you reject our love again, I will kill your friends and family!!!" He laughs and you pass out.
[YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS another chapter is done! I hope you all enjoyed this, and stay sexy, all of my sexy muffins!]

SWEET HOME MASTERLIST / REQUEST
Chan-young took a deep breath as the dusty air filled his lungs. The world outside was a silent pattern of desolation. The only sound that pierced the stillness was the occasional groan of a distant monster, a reminder of the horrors that had befallen the city. He squinted through the shattered storefronts, his eyes scanning the desolate streets for any signs of life, but all he could see was the detritus of a civilization that had once thrived here.
"So sick of this." Yeong-hoo groans. The heavy rucksack digs into his shoulders, the weight of supplies and ammo a constant reminder of their urgent mission. They were on their way to the hospital, racing against time to save their injured comrade, and every second counted.
Chan-young nods, his eyes never leaving the horizon. "We're almost there. Stay alert." His voice is low but firm, the authority of a leader echoing in his tone despite the exhaustion etched into his face. The group trudges onward, the rhythmic patter of their boots on the cracked pavement syncing with the erratic beating of their hearts.
A sudden rustling from the abandoned shopping center to their left makes Chan-young's senses sharpen. He raises a hand, signaling the others to halt. They obey, their eyes following his as he points to the source of the noise. It's coming from a convenience store, its door hanging open like a mouth mid-scream. He looks back at the group, his expression a mix of concern and determination. "We need to check it out."
The other soldiers grumble but fall in line behind him as he cautiously approaches the entrance. The shop's interior is cast in a gloomy twilight, the only light filtering through the shards of the broken windows. The shelves are bare, their contents long ago looted by desperate survivors or destroyed in battles with the monsters that now roam free.
As they advance into the store, the rustling grows louder, more insistent. Chan-young's hand tightens around the grip of his gun, his eyes darting from shadow to shadow. His heart hammers in his chest, anticipating the worst. But what he finds instead stops him in his tracks.
In the far corner of the store, huddled behind an overturned counter, is you. You look up at them with wide, terrified eyes, your whole body trembling like a leaf in a storm. Your clothes are torn and stained, your hair matted with dirt and fear. You're clutching a makeshift weapon, a broken chair leg as if it could protect you from the nightmares that lurk outside.
"Don't come closer," you whisper, your voice shaking. "Please."
Chan-young motions for the others to stay back, his instincts telling him that you're not a threat. He approaches you slowly, speaking in a soothing tone. "It's okay. We're not here to hurt you. We're just passing through." Your grip on the chair leg tightens, but you don't move. Your eyes, however, never leave him, searching his face for any hint of deceit.
Yeong-hoo's eyes don't leave you, his grip never loosening on the gun in his hands. As he examined you, he noticed a few cuts on your body, and when looking closer, he saw one of your eyes was black. "Shit!" he lifts his gun and aims immediately. "You're one of them!"
Chan-young reacts fast, slapping the barrel of Yeong-hoo's gun to the side. "Hold your fire! She’s human!"
"No, she isn't, look at her eye! And there's blood under her nose!" Yeong-hoo's voice is sharp with alarm.
Chan-young's eyes dart to your face, his heart skipping a beat at the sight of your injuries. "We don't know that," he says, his voice tight. "Let's just get you to come with us."
You flinch at the sound of raised voices, and the trembling in your hand intensifies. You clutch the chair leg closer to your chest, your eyes flickering between the soldiers and the door as if weighing your chances of escape.
"We don't have time for this," another soldier interjects. "We have to get to the hospital."
Chan-young hesitates, his gaze flickering to you and then back to his comrades. He knows they're right, but something about your situation pulls at his heartstrings. "We can't just leave her here," he says firmly. "We'll be quick, just make sure she’s okay."
Your eyes widen further as the soldiers close in, your grip on the chair leg tightening until your knuckles are white. You try to shrink away, but there's nowhere left to go. "P-please," you stammer, "I'm not… I'm not one of them." You had to lie to protect yourself.
Chan-young steps closer, his hand outstretched. "We're here to help," he assures you. "We're on a mission to the hospital. You can come with us."
For a moment, you seem to consider it. Then, with a sudden burst of strength, you swing the chair leg at them. It's a clumsy, desperate move, but it's enough to make the soldiers step back. You scramble to your feet, ready to run, but a wave of dizziness crashes over you. You sway, barely managing to stay upright.
"Damn it," Yeong-hoo mutters, his finger twitching on the trigger.
"Hold your fire," Chan-young snaps, stepping in front of you. "We're not leaving anyone behind." He looks back at the group. "We need to move fast. We'll take her with us."
The soldiers exchange uncertain glances, but they know better than to argue with their leader. They quickly move to help you, who is now leaning heavily against the counter, your breaths coming in shallow gasps. Your one good eye is filled with a mix of fear and defiance as you look up at them.
As they gently guide you out of the store, you glance back at your hiding spot. It had been your sanctuary for days, the only place you felt somewhat safe from the monsters that had taken over the city. Now you were leaving it behind, entrusting your fate to strangers with guns.
They make their way through the shopping center, stumbling with every step. Your body is a patchwork of bruises and cuts, a testament to your desperate fight for survival. The soldiers' eyes are glued to their surroundings, ready to protect their new charge.
The hospital looms in the distance, a beacon of hope amidst the ruin. The journey there is fraught with tension, the constant threat of monsters lurking around every corner. You clutch onto Chan-young's arm, your trembling subsiding only slightly. You can't shake the feeling that you've made a terrible mistake.
As they approach the hospital, the sounds of battle grow louder. The air is thick with the smell of smoke and fear. The group picks up their pace, the weight of their mission pressing down on them like a heavy burden.
"We're almost there," Chan-young murmurs to you, his voice filled with a mix of reassurance and urgency. "Stay close."
You nod, your eyes never leaving his. Despite your fear, you feel a flicker of hope. Maybe, just maybe, you'd make it through this hell alive.
Hours later…
They arrive back at the safe zone, having been unable to save their soldier. Everyone goes back to their stations while Chan-young takes you to the medical ward with Yeong-hoo silently trailing behind them, the gravity of their situation sinking in. He helps you onto a bed, your legs giving way with fatigue.
You were silent, avoiding eye contact and still trembling.
"What's your name?" Chan-young asked, his voice gentle. You didn't reply. "…How old are you, at least?"
You still didn't answer. This was going to take a while. Chan-young sighs and bites the inside of his cheek. "Are you at least 18? Or over 18? I need to know."
Your trembling stops for a moment, and you look up at him with a spark of anger in your one good eye. "Fine! Yes!" you snap. "I'm over 18! Does that make a difference?"
"N-No, I just-" he shakes his head. "It doesn't matter. Are you hurt anywhere? I can fix you up." Your expression softens slightly as you nod.
"Okay, where are they?" he asks. You point to your bruised ribs and the gash on your forehead, wincing at the touch.
With practiced hands, Chan-young starts cleaning the wounds, his movements efficient and gentle. You flinch at first, but his calm demeanor soon soothes you. "You're safe here," he says, his voice low and steady. "We're going to take care of you."
As he works, he tells you about the safe zone, about the other who have banded together to survive. He tries to keep the conversation light, steering clear of the grim realities of their world. You listen, your breathing growing calmer with each passing moment.
"Y/N." You blurt out.
"What?"
"My name is Y/N."
"Nice to meet you, Y/N," he says, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Chan-young. That's Yeong-hoo over there." He nods towards the other soldier who's keeping a wary eye on you.
You glance at Yeong-hoo, then back at Chan-young. "What's his problem?" you whisper.
Chan-young sighs. "He thinks you're…y'know, a monster. You're not, right?" He says it with a soft tone, hoping to ease your nerves.
Your breath catches, glancing at Yeong-hoo in the corner. "Is he gonna kill me if I say yes…?"
Chan-young shakes his head, applying a bandage to your forehead. "You're human, aren't you?"
You hesitate before shaking your head no. "I'm human, but…monster too…I guess?" you whisper, your voice shaking slightly.
Chan-young's hands pause in their work, his eyes meeting yours with a flicker of confusion. "What do you mean?"
You take a deep, shaky breath and start to explain. You tell them about your transformation, about the hunger that had taken over your body and mind, the power that had turned you into something else. The fear in your voice is palpable, and Yeong-hoo's grip on his gun tightens.
"Like that one monster that escaped?" Yeong-hoo interjects. You stare at him, nodding. "Huh. So, you're a mutant?"
"It's complicated," you whisper, looking down at your hands.
"Well, you're safe here," Chan-young says firmly. "We've got others like you. We're all just trying to survive." He continues to dress your wounds, his touch surprisingly gentle despite his rough exterior.
"But, can I control it?" you ask, your voice barely audible.
"You'll learn," he reassures you. "We've got people who can help you. We've seen some turnback. It's not easy, but it's possible."
Yeong-hoo snorts from his corner, not convinced.
Chan-young glances at him, then back at you. "Don't worry about him. We're all in this together." He finishes bandaging your ribs and moves to your bruised shoulder.
"I'll find you a room." Yeong-hoo says before walking out.
You wince as he touches the tender area, but you don't pull away. You tell them about your life before the apocalypse, your family, your dreams. It's a stark contrast to the monstrous world outside, and for a brief moment, they all forget the horror that awaits them.
As he applies the final bandage, Chan-young notices the way your skin seems to be knitting itself back together. It's subtle, almost imperceptible, but it's there. He looks at you questioningly. "How long have you had these…abilities?"
You look away, your voice small. "Since the outbreak. I got a really bad nosebleed…I thought I was going to die."
Chan-young's heart clenches at the pain in your voice. He'd heard similar stories before, but each one hit him like a punch to the gut. He finishes up and stands, looking down at you with a mix of pity and admiration. "You're strong, Y/N," he says. "Stronger than you think."
You look up at him, your eyes wet with unshed tears. "Thanks," you murmur.
Chan-young nods, examining your features. He couldn't deny that you were super pretty. Your eyes were the same color as the sea under a stormy sky, and your hair was a messy halo around your face. Despite the dirt and the bruises, you had a certain…fragility about you. He sighs, focusing back on your wounds.
"You're going to feel a little sting," he warns, pouring alcohol onto a cloth. You bite your lip, your eyes squeezed shut as he gently cleans the gash on your forehead. You wince but don't make a sound.
"You're doing great," he murmurs, his voice a soothing balm to your fear. You open your eyes to find him smiling at you, and you can't help but smile back.
Yeong-hoo returns with a blanket and a pillow, tossing them onto the bed without a word. He still didn't trust you, but for now, he'd follow Chan-young's lead. "You can sleep here," he says, his voice gruff.
Your eyes widen in surprise. "Really?"
"Yeah," Chan-young says. "We've got enough beds. We're not savages."
You nod, the tension in your shoulders easing. You're so tired, you could sleep on the floor if you had to, but the bed seems like a luxury you haven't had in an eternity.
"Thank you," you whisper.
"Don't mention it," he says, patting your hand. "Get some rest. We've got a lot to do tomorrow."
As you lie down, you can't help but feel a sense of relief. Before falling asleep, you sit back up. "Chan-young?"
"Yes?" He's already by the door, about to leave.
"Um," you sniffle. "Can you, um…" you start but trail off.
"What is it?" he asks his hand on the door handle.
You take a deep breath and swallow your pride. "Could you…could you stay here with me? Just for tonight?"
Chan-young's expression softens. He understands your fear, the feeling of being in a new place filled with unfamiliar faces. He nods and pulls up a chair beside the bed. "I'll stay."
The room falls into silence, save for the distant cries of monsters and the occasional footstep outside. You feel the warmth of his presence beside you, a comforting weight in the heavy darkness. You close your eyes, willing yourself to relax.
"Chan-young?" you whisper, your voice shaking.
"Yeah?"
"What if I turn?" The words hang in the air, thick with fear.
He looks at you, his eyes filled with a strange mix of sadness and determination. "We'll deal with it," he says. "Together."
You nod, taking solace in his words. You know he can't guarantee anything, but the promise is enough for now.
The night stretches out before them, filled with uncertainty and the ever-present danger that lurks just beyond the walls of their haven. But for this one moment, with the gentle hum of life-support machines in the background, you feel a semblance of peace.
Your eyes grow heavy, lulled by the rhythmic breathing of the soldier beside you. Despite the chaos outside, you feel a flicker of hope. Maybe, just maybe, you've found a place where you can belong, where you can learn to live with the monster inside you without fear of rejection or death.
As you drift off to sleep, you don't know what the future holds. But for tonight, you're safe. And that's enough.

A virus swept through the country like wildfire, turning people into monsters, stripping humanity down to its raw, savage core. Survival became the only constant, and love—no matter how deep—felt fragile in a world overrun by death.Yet, even amidst the chaos, Haechan was your anchor. Life as you knew it might have crumbled, but with him, there was still something worth living for.

12/02/2024 – Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you
“Do you think this is the one?”
You turned to face the mirror again, your reflection framed by soft lighting. The white gown clung perfectly to your form, the delicate lace trailing like whispers along the floor. It felt like the dress had been made just for you, a piece of art brought to life. A warm smile tugged at your lips as you smoothed your hands down the fabric, feeling its intricate details beneath your fingertips.
“Yes, it is, Aeri” you said, glancing at your friend through the mirror’s reflection.
Aeri, Mark’s girlfriend and your bridesmaid, clapped her hands together in excitement. “I knew it! You look stunning, Y/N.”
Her energy was infectious, and you couldn’t help but laugh as she twirled around the boutique like she was the one getting married. Aeri had been your rock through this whirlwind of wedding planning, her easy humor and bubbly spirit making even the most stressful moments bearable.
After finalizing the details with the boutique, the two of you headed out, chatting about floral arrangements and playlists. When you finally made it back to your apartment, your heart fluttered at the sight of Haechan’s shoes by the door. The warm, familiar scent of home welcomed you, and before you even had time to set down your things, there he was—your lovely boyfriend.
“Hyuck!” you called, running toward him.
He didn’t have time to react before you jumped into his arms, wrapping yourself around him like you hadn’t seen him in years. In reality, it had only been a few hours, but with Haechan, even minutes felt like eternity.
“Whoa!” he laughed, catching you with ease. His arms tightened around your waist as he spun you slightly, his warmth seeping into you like a soothing balm. “Did my baby miss me that much?”
You nodded dramatically, leaning back just enough to meet his eyes. His eyes widened, and he dramatically clutched his chest like you’d just struck him. “Yah! Angel, don’t do this to me,” he groaned, pretending to stagger back as if your cuteness was a physical blow. “How am I supposed to survive until the wedding like this? My heart’s already weak!”
You burst out laughing as he made a show of sinking onto the couch, still holding his chest. “Hyuck, stop being so dramatic!”
“I can’t help it!” he whined, sitting up and reaching out to pull you into his lap. “Every time I look at you, it’s like my heart forgets how to work properly. You’re too cute, Y/N! It’s not fair!”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t stop smiling. “Well, you better figure out how to handle it because I’m not going anywhere.”
He softened then, his teasing giving way to something more genuine. “Good,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to your temple. “Because I can’t wait to marry you, Angel.”
Your excitement bubbled over again, and you clapped your hands like a child. “Hyuck, I found the perfect dress today!”
He smiled, his eyes lighting up at your enthusiasm. “I can’t wait to see you in it.”
For a moment, it was just the two of you, wrapped up in each other, the world outside fading into a blur. The chaos of wedding planning, the endless to-do lists—all of it disappeared when Haechan was with you.
You rested your forehead against his, your arms still looped around his neck. “Hyuck?”
“Hmm?” he hummed, eyes half-lidded as he gazed at you.
“I think I love you even more today than I did yesterday.”
He smirked, his cheeky nature returning. “Then you better get ready to love me even more tomorrow.”
And just like that, you were laughing again, your heart full as you realized that no matter how hectic life became, you had everything you needed right here, in his arms.
22/07/2024 – Not today, not tomorrow
Neither of you had known that the world had other plans. Six months ago, the outbreak began—an insidious virus that swept through the country like wildfire. It didn’t just make people sick; it transformed them into hollowed shells of their former selves, relentless predators with one insatiable hunger. Zombies. Society crumbled under the weight of the chaos, and now survival was the only thing that mattered.
You, Donghyuck, and your friends had done everything possible to stay alive. The small group you belonged to had found refuge in an abandoned warehouse, fortified with barricades and supplies scavenged from the nearby city. It was a fragile kind of safety, but safety nonetheless. Until today.
The food was running out, and you needed to resupply. With only four volunteers—yourself, Donghyuck, and the couple, Mark and Aeri—you ventured into the decaying city, hoping to find enough to sustain the group for another week.
What you hadn’t expected was the sheer number of zombies lurking in the area. A few had turned into a horde faster than you could blink.
“Run!” Donghyuck shouted, gripping your wrist tightly as the four of you bolted into the labyrinth of buildings.
The group split instinctively to shake off the pursuit, Mark and Aeri veering into one alley while Donghyuck led you through another. You turned sharply into a building, slamming the heavy metal door shut behind you, the sound of groaning and scratching growing louder as the zombies clawed at the entrance.
Donghyuck pressed his back against the door, chest heaving as he worked to catch his breath. The room you’d entered was dark and cold, the air thick with the scent of mildew and decay. You wiped the sweat from your brow, glancing around for Mark and Aeri.
“Are you all okay?” Donghyuck panted, his eyes darting to you, then to the couple—or rather, where he assumed the couple would be.
“Hyuck…” you started, but the words came out strangled, caught in your throat as you realized what you were seeing.
Aeri wasn’t there.
“Hyuck… Aeri…” you managed to choke out, the panic rising in your voice.
The weight of your tone made him freeze, and when his eyes followed yours, the scene outside the cracked window sent his blood running cold.
Mark was sprinting, desperation etched into every movement, his voice hoarse as he screamed her name. “Aeri! No!”
Time seemed to slow as you pieced together what had happened. In the chaos of the chase, Aeri had stopped to help a small child—a survivor, or so she must have thought. But the child wasn’t human anymore. The moment she’d knelt down, trying to coax the kid to follow her, it had turned, teeth snapping at her neck before she could react.
You watched helplessly as Mark lunged toward her, but it was too late. Aeri crumpled to the ground, her eyes wide in shock as blood pooled beneath her. The child—now fully a monster—sank its teeth into her shoulder, and her screams pierced the air like shards of glass.
Donghyuck grabbed your arm, pulling you away from the window as the horde’s groans grew louder. He didn’t let go until you were both hidden in the shadows of the room, the horrifying sounds outside fading into the background like a nightmare you couldn’t escape.
When the dust finally settled, and you managed to regroup with Mark, the devastation was written all over his face. He walked silently, Aeri’s blood staining his clothes, his hands trembling. The journey back to the warehouse was heavy with unspoken grief, your feet dragging against the ground as though the weight of what had happened would crush you.
The group was waiting at the entrance when you returned. The moment they saw Mark’s empty hands and the shattered look in his eyes, their expressions shifted—sympathy mixed with dread. No one needed to ask where Aeri was. They already knew.
Donghyuck stayed close to Mark, standing silently beside him as the others murmured in hushed voices. You had never seen him like this before—so quiet, so lost in his own mind.
Days passed, but the wounds left by that day didn’t heal. Mark barely spoke to anyone, spending most of his time sitting alone, staring at the place Aeri used to sleep. Donghyuck was always nearby, trying to offer what little comfort he could, but there was only so much anyone could do.
It wasn’t until a week later that you discovered the full weight of Mark’s pain. He confessed in a broken voice, trembling so hard you thought he might collapse, that Aeri had been pregnant. The baby had been their hope, their reason to fight harder. Now, it was all gone.
“I should have saved her, I should have saved them” Mark whispered one night, his voice barely audible over the crackling fire. His words were directed at no one, yet they shattered you all the same. “If I’d been faster… stronger… if I hadn’t let her out of my sight, she’d still be here.”
Donghyuck didn’t say anything, just placed a steady hand on Mark’s shoulder, his eyes reflecting a quiet grief that mirrored your own.
The group wasn’t the same after that. It wasn’t just Aeri you had lost—it was the light she brought, the laughter that kept the group alive even in the darkest moments. Mark withdrew further, his guilt eating away at him like a slow poison, and the rest of you struggled to fill the void she had left behind.
You and Donghyuck tried your best to keep things together, but every decision, every step forward, felt heavier now. You weren’t just surviving the apocalypse anymore—you were carrying the weight of loss, and it threatened to crush you all.

09/09/2024 – Did you take my love away?
You always believed kindness was your anchor—the trait that brought you amazing friends and a loving boyfriend like Haechan. But that belief turned bitter when kindness led to the disaster at hand.
It started with a harmless request: an old woman, frail and desperate, asking for shelter. You couldn’t turn her away. None of you could. But that decision, meant to preserve humanity, ended up nearly costing everything.
The attack came at dawn. Three armed men stormed the warehouse, smashing barricades and tearing through your makeshift home. Supplies were overturned, personal belongings trampled under heavy boots. The air was thick with dust and fear.
Jaemin was the first to step forward, his voice steady but laced with frustration. “What do you want?” he asked, fists clenched at his sides.
The men didn’t answer. Their leader’s eyes roamed the room, assessing the four women left in the group: Karina, a quiet middle-aged woman Mrs Kim, Minju a child huddling in fear—and you. His gaze settled on you, lingering too long, and an unsettling smirk spread across his face.
“You look so pretty,” he said, stepping closer. His hand reached out, fingers brushing through your hair. The violation of such a simple gesture made your skin crawl.
You felt Haechan stiffen beside you, his fists clenching at his sides. His protective instincts were rising like a wave, ready to crash over anyone who dared hurt you. But before he could act, you grabbed his hand, squeezing it tightly before letting go.
“Don’t” you whispered, your voice firm despite the fear pounding in your chest.
Haechan’s eyes searched yours, confused and hurt, but you let go of his hand and stepped forward
“Yes,” you said, your voice now louder as you addressed the leader, turning to meet his amused gaze. “It looks like we could have some fun—but only on one condition. Only if you stop this madness. You leave the others alone. No more destruction, no more threats.”
The room seemed to hold its breath.
The man tilted his head, amused. “And what makes you think you’re in any position to bargain?”
“Because I’m offering you what you want,” you said sharply. “Take me, and leave everyone else alone.Do we have a deal?”
The man laughed, a low, rasping sound that made your heart sink. “You have my word, darling” he said, gripping your hair roughly and dragging you toward a nearby room.
You could feel everyone’s eyes on you—Karina’s horrified expression, the middle-aged woman clutching the little girl, the guilt and fury burning in Haechan’s gaze, his entire body shaking with rage as he watched you disappear behind the door.
But he didn’t stop you. He knew you. You weren’t so naïve, he had to trust you.
Once inside the room, the man let go of you and began fumbling with his weapons, tossing them aside as he prepared to indulge in his sick fantasy. You waited, your heart pounding, until he turned his back to lock the door.
That was your moment.
With a speed you didn’t know you had, you lunged for his discarded gun. Your fingers curled around the cold metal, and before he could react, you aimed woth shaking hand and pulled the trigger.
The sound of the gunshot echoed like thunder through the warehouse.
Outside, everyone froze.
“Y/N!” Haechan yelled, his instincts taking over as he tried to run to you, but one of the other men shoved him back, aiming a gun at his chest.
“She betrayed you, and you still want to run to her?” the man sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. “She’s nothing but a slut.”
Haechan’s fists trembled, his teeth grinding together as he fought the urge to lash out
“What’s taking him so long?” another man muttered.
“Maybe he’s playing with her corpse, our leader is twisted” the other one said, laughing cruelly.
Haechan’s stomach churned, bile rising in his throat at their words. He could barely breathe at the thought of you hurt—or worse.
“We should have a turn, don’t you think?” the first man suggested, his tone casual, as if he were discussing the weather.
“Why not? She was useless anyway,” the other agreed with a chuckle. “But damn, she was hot.”
Around the room, the group’s expressions shifted from anger to heartbreak. Chenle clenched his jaw, his hands trembling as he tried to hold back tears. Even Jeno, who rarely showed emotion, had wet eyes, his face pale with despair.
But Haechan wasn’t paying attention to their words anymore. His heart skipped a beat when he caught sight of movement—your shadow, faint but unmistakable, creeping along the ceiling vents. You had climbed into the air conditioning ducts, a gun now in your possession.
You caught Haechan’s gaze and motioned silently, your fingers forming a plan. You needed him to distract them, to create an opening.
Haechan, along with Jaemin and Jisung, understood immediately.
Jaemin was the first to speak up, his voice loud enough to draw attention. “Don’t you have any humanity left?” he asked, his voice trembling with barely contained rage. “She’s dead, and you’re already talking about defiling her memory.”
“What, you had a crush on her or something? Poor guy.”  the scarred man taunted. Then he turned to Haechan, smirking. “Your friends all want to fuck your girlfriend. Bet you must feel proud of picking a hot one.”
That was the final straw. It was too much. Haechan snapped. He lunged forward, his fist flying toward the man’s face. But before he could make contact, another gunshot rang out
The remaining man turned wild, grabbing the middle-aged woman and pressing his gun to her temple.
“Come out, you little witch!” he bellowed. “You think you can mess with me?”
A cold laugh echoed from the vents, sending a shiver down everyone’s spine.
Mark and Jeno seized the distraction. They lunged for the man, wrestling the gun from his grip as he screamed in frustration. Within moments, the room was silent again, the threat eliminated.
Haechan ran to you as you climbed down from the vents, his hands cupping your face as his eyes scanning every inch of your body for injuries. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”
You shook your head, your voice barely above a whisper. “No… I killed him before he could.”
But the empty look in your eyes said more than words ever could.
The weight of what you’d done crashed over you like a tidal wave. You’d killed a man—a human being, no matter how monstrous he’d been. Tears blurred your vision as your knees buckled, and you crumpled into Haechan’s arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
He held you tightly, whispering soothing words into your ear as his own tears fell silently. He wanted to tell you it was okay, that you had done what you had to, but he knew those words would never erase the pain you felt.
He realized that survival in this world wasn’t just about staying alive. It was about holding onto the fragments of humanity that remained, no matter how much the darkness threatened to take them away.
And in that moment, he hated the world more than ever for taking your innocence away.
-----------------------------
05/10/2024 – If the world was ending I’d wanna be next to you
Today was supposed to be the happiest day of your life—your wedding day. A day filled with love, laughter, and the promise of forever. But forever had become uncertain in a world crumbling under chaos. Instead of vows and celebrations, you found yourself clinging to survival in a dim, crumbling shelter.
Hyuck lay beside you, his chest rising and falling in the steady rhythm of sleep. He had stayed up most of the night, standing guard to protect your group, and now his exhaustion was evident in the faint shadows under his eyes. Despite everything, he was still so beautiful, even in the dim, dirty light filtering through the cracked windows.
You scooted closer to him, wrapping an arm around his waist, your head resting against his chest. His warmth was a constant comfort, a reminder that you still had something to hold onto in this fractured world. As your fingers brushed against his; his lips curved into a small smile even before his eyes opened.
“Good morning, love of my life,” he murmured, his voice soft and groggy.
“Good morning, Hyuck,” you replied, the smile spreading across your face despite everything. In moments like this, it was easy to forget the world outside, the danger lurking just beyond these fragile walls. All you could see was him, the man you loved more than words could ever convey.
For a moment, you stayed there, soaking in the warmth of his presence. Then, his hand shifted, reaching toward his jacket, and he turned to you with a glint of excitement in his eyes.
“Y/N,” he said, his tone more serious now.
You hummed in acknowledgment, watching him with curiosity as he fumbled with something in his jacket pocket. When he turned back to you, he held a small jewelry box in his hand. Your breath caught as he opened it, revealing two simple yet elegant rings nestled inside.
“These are…” you began, your voice barely above a whisper.
He nodded, his gaze steady and filled with love. “They’re wedding bands,” he said softly. “I know it’s not what we planned, and it’s not the ceremony you deserve, but…” He paused, his voice faltering for a moment as he searched for the right words. “Can we still wear them? Pretend we got married? Just for now—until everything goes back to normal?”
Tears welled in your eyes, blurring your vision. The weight of his words, his love, and his resilience pressed against your chest until it ached. The thought that, even in this broken world, he still wanted to hold onto the dream of a life with you was more than you could bear.
Silent tears streamed down your cheeks as you reached for the box, your fingers trembling. He gently took your hand, slipping one of the rings onto your finger. It fit perfectly, as though it had always belonged there.
“How…” You choked on the words, overcome with emotion. “How could someone like you be mine?”
He smiled then, his trademark playful grin softened by tenderness. “You’ve got it all backward, Angel. I’m the lucky one.”
He slipped the second ring onto his own finger, then held your hand tightly in his, intertwining your fingers as if to promise he’d never let go.
You didn’t need a grand ceremony or a crowd of guests to declare your love. This moment, just the two of you, was more than enough.
As you leaned in to kiss him, you whispered, “I do.”
His lips curved against yours, and for a brief, shining moment, the world outside didn’t exist. There were no zombies, no hunger, no fear. Just you and Haechan, clinging to love in a world determined to take it away.
“Till everything goes back to normal,” you murmured, your forehead resting against his.
He nodded, his eyes glistening. “Till everything goes back to normal.”
And even though the world outside was shattered, you couldn’t help but smile through your tears, because with him, you’d found a small, unbreakable piece of forever.
You and Haechan made your way to the dining area, where the group was gathered around a mismatched assortment of chairs and a rickety table. Breakfast consisted of the meager scraps of food you had left—a shared loaf of bread, some canned beans, and water carefully rationed to last until the next hunt. Despite the scarcity, there was still warmth in the room, a sense of camaraderie that held everyone together.
As you sat down, Karina’s sharp eyes immediately caught sight of the band glinting on your finger. Her expression shifted from confusion to surprise, her fork pausing mid-air.
“Wait, what’s that?” she asked, her tone curious but slightly incredulous. Her gaze flicked to Haechan’s hand, and when she saw the matching ring, her jaw dropped. “Wait, you guys are married?”
At her exclamation, all eyes turned toward the two of you. Haechan rubbed the back of his neck, a small but proud smile spreading across his face. “Yes,” he admitted softly, his voice carrying a mixture of joy and shyness. “Today.”
The room fell quiet for a moment, the reality of what he said sinking in. Then, one by one, smiles broke out around the table. Even in a world as bleak as this, there was still space for happiness—something worth celebrating.
Karina was the first to break the silence, her face lighting up as she clapped her hands together. “Oh my God! Did you guys dance yet?”
You and Haechan exchanged a glance, shaking your heads in unison. “No,” you admitted, a little embarrassed.
Karina shot up from her chair like she was on a mission. “That’s not okay. Renjun, sing!”
Renjun blinked in surprise, caught mid-bite, but quickly set his plate down with a resigned sigh. “What am I, a jukebox?” he muttered under his breath, but he complied, clearing his throat before starting to hum a soft, familiar tune.
Haechan turned to you, his eyes sparkling despite the tiredness in his features. He stood, extending a hand toward you, and bowed slightly in an exaggerated, gentlemanly manner. “M’lady, may I have this dance?”
You bit back a laugh, your heart swelling with affection as you placed your hand in his. “Of course, my lord.”
He led you to the center of the room, where the two of you began to sway together. It wasn’t a grand ballroom or a carefully choreographed first dance, but it was perfect in its own way. Renjun’s voice was soft yet steady, filling the room with an imprompt melody as the others clapped along, their voices joining in harmony.
The two of you twirled around the small space, Haechan spinning you gently before pulling you back into his arms. The warmth of his hands on your waist, the way his eyes never left yours—it was as if the rest of the world had fallen away.
“This is perfect,” you whispered, your voice barely audible over the music and clapping.
Haechan smiled down at you, his expression tender. “You’re perfect,” he murmured, leaning in to rest his forehead against yours.
Around you, your friends cheered, their laughter and voices filling the room with an infectious joy. For a brief moment, the fear and hunger that usually loomed over your group seemed to vanish, replaced by a collective determination to hold onto this small slice of happiness.
As the song came to an end, the clapping grew louder, and Karina yelled out, “Kiss! Kiss!”
Haechan chuckled, his cheeks turning a faint shade of pink as he glanced at you. You grinned, nodding slightly, and he leaned in, capturing your lips in a gentle kiss that made your heart flutter. The room erupted into cheers and whistles, the sound carrying through the worn walls like a defiant declaration of hope.
In that fleeting moment, surrounded by the people you loved, you forgot about the world outside. For now, this was enough.

06/10/2024 –  Die with a smile
The air in the warehouse was stifling, heavy with tension as you moved around, trying to keep the space tidy. A small act of normalcy amidst chaos. The others were resting, and you thought you’d use the lull to make things a bit safer—less cluttered in case you needed to make a quick escape.
“Y/N?”
The small voice startled you. You turned to see Minju, the child you’d taken under your wing,  standing hesitantly in the doorway. Her oversized sweater hung loosely around her frame, making her look even smaller than she was.
“Yes, Minju?” you asked softly, straightening up and wiping your hands on your pants.
Her wide eyes darted to the floor. “I’m a little scared,” she admitted, her voice trembling. “I keep hearing weird noises.”
You crouched down to her level, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear. “What kind of noises?”
“I don’t know,” she whispered, clutching the hem of her sweater tightly. “It’s like... scratching. And sometimes... like someone whispering.” She looked up at you, her lower lip trembling. “Do you think it’s a monster? Is it inside?”
You forced a reassuring smile, even as unease prickled your skin. Your stomach twisted. Everyone in the group was vigilant; it was hard to imagine anything slipping past your watch. “Inside here? No, sweetheart. We’d never let a monster get in.”
She didn’t look convinced. “Oh,” she said after a pause, “and Mrs. Kim is acting really weird.”
That got your full attention. “Weird how?”
Minju hesitated, shifting nervously. “She grabbed my arm earlier. It hurt. She kept saying she was hungry, that the food wasn’t enough.”
Your stomach twisted. Mrs. Kim had been distant the past few days, her eyes dull, her movements sluggish. You’d chalked it up to exhaustion, but now...
“Minju,” you said, crouching to her level, “can you do something for me?” keeping your voice calm despite the panic rising in your chest
She nodded eagerly.
“Can you keep this between us fo..?”
But before you could finish your sentence, a bloodcurdling scream tore through the warehouse.
You froze for a second, your heart lurching into your throat before instinct took over. “Stay here!” you yelled, bolting toward the sound. Minju clung to your leg, her small hands gripping so tightly that you stumbled. “Minju, let go!” you snapped, trying to pry her off, but she only held on tighter, tears streaming down her face.
Her tear-streaked face looked up at you, panic written all over it. “No! Don’t leave me!”
“Minju, please!” you begged, prying her fingers off with shaking hands.
By the time you reached the main area, chaos had erupted. Mrs. Kim was on top of Mark, her mouth twisted into a snarl as she clawed at his chest. Her strength was unnatural, her eyes glassy and bloodshot, her teeth bared like an animal.
Haechan was there, desperately trying to pull her off. He shouted her name, his voice hoarse and frantic, but it was like she didn’t hear him.
“Get off him!” Haechan yelled, but Mrs. Kim didn’t budge. Her movements were erratic, jerking, almost... inhuman.
The world seemed to move in slow motion as you saw her turn toward Haechan, lunging at him with a guttural growl. He tried to push her away, but she moved too fast.
“Hyuck!” you screamed, running toward him, but Minju’s arms wrapped around your leg again, rooting you in place. “Minju, let go!”
“I’m scared!” she sobbed, clinging tighter.
Your heart shattered as you saw Mrs. Kim knock Haechan to the ground. His body hit the floor with a sickening thud, and she was on top of him in an instant. Meanwhile, Mark finally was able to make her stop and took her off Haechan
“No, no, no!” you cried, finally breaking free of Minju’s grip and rushing to him. By the time you reached Haechan, blood was everywhere. It soaked through his clothes, pooling beneath him. A knife was embedded deep in his stomach, and his breaths were shallow, labored.
“Hyuck...” you whispered, your voice breaking as you fell to your knees beside him. Your trembling hands hovered over his wound, unsure of what to do. Tears blurred your vision.
Despite everything, Haechan smiled up at you, his lips tinged with blood. “Angel,” he said weakly, his voice barely a whisper. “Don’t cry. You look ugly when you do.” He chuckled faintly, but it turned into a low groan as the pain hit him.
“Hyuck, stop joking. You’re going to be okay. You have to be okay.” you choked, tears streaming freely now
You both knew it wasn’t true. The knife had pierced too deep. The blood loss was too much. But neither of you wanted to say it out loud.
He reached up, his bloodstained hand brushing against your cheek. “I’m glad you’re here” he murmured. “I didn’t want to die alone.”
“Don’t say that!” you cried, clutching his hand tightly. “You’re not going to die. We’ll fix this. We’ll—”
“I love you, Y/N,” he said, cutting you off. His voice was growing softer, weaker. “I really wanted to see you in that wedding dress.”
“You will,” you insisted, your voice cracking. “You will. Just hold on, Hyuck. Please.”
He smiled faintly, his eyes glassy. “Y/N... I’ll marry you in Heaven, okay?. And if I don’t make it there, I’ll come back in another life, in another body, I’ll come back to you. I promise.”
“Stop it,” you begged, shaking your head as tears streamed down your face. “Don’t say goodbye. Don’t leave me.”
His gaze softened. “Promise me... you’ll live. Don’t follow me, Angel. Survive. For me.”
“I can’t, Hyuck,” you sobbed, clutching his shirt. “I can’t live without you.”
“You can,” he whispered. “You’re stronger than you think.”
He turned his head slightly, looking at his best friend through hazy eyes. “Take care of her... for me. Please”
Mark knelt beside you, his face streaked with tears. “I will,” he choked out, guilt consuming him. Haechan had died saving him.
Haechan’s grip on your hand weakened, his eyelids fluttering shut. “One last thing,” he murmured. “Hold me, Angel... just for a little while.”
You nodded, your body trembling as you leaned down, wrapping your arms around him gently. His head rested against your shoulder, his breaths growing fainter by the second.
“I love you, Donghyuck,” you whispered, your voice breaking. “I always have, and I always will.”
“I love you too,” he murmured, his voice so soft it was almost lost.
And then, as the last breath left his body, he smiled.
Donghyuck died in your arms, with a smile on his face, leaving you with a shattered heart and a promise to keep surviving—for him.

SAY YOU LOVE ME TIL THE END OF THE WORLD
Tumblr media
pairing: hyunsu x gn!reader genre: hurt comfort word count: 719
notes: set in s1, i'm in love with him i can't help it, hyunsu cries, reader cries, hyunsu needs a hug and he gets one !! still haven't finished s2 lol
Tumblr media
you’re not exactly sure how you ended up like this. it all feels surreal - being locked inside of your apartment building; monsters coming to life; blood and carnage visible wherever you turn. part of you wishes it’s all a nightmare. that you’ll wake up, safe in hyunsu’s arms in his apartment, listening to the soundtrack of a random drama or your neighbours arguing next door. but it’s not.
the stairwell is stuffy. you’re almost certain it hasn’t been cleaned in months - if ever. spiderwebs decorate the corners of the walls if you squint hard enough.
hyunsu doesn’t react to your presence. not when the door closing behind you echoes throughout the dingy space. not when you begin to make your way down the steps. not even when you sit down near the bottom beside him so close that your knees brush against each other.
with nothing better to do, you begin to study hyunsu’s features. his eye bags have gotten worse. his shoulders sag - likely from a combination of stress and exhaustion. the slight frown on his face has become familiar, a fact that makes your heart ache.
“are you okay?” your voice is little more than a whisper. the words are shaky and uncertain. you don’t know what to say. you don’t know what to do.
hyunsu’s gaze remains unwavering. you resist the urge to push him for answers, instead turning to face the wall alongside him. there are chips in the multiple layers of paint - a of many symptoms of a decrepit building. layers of dust coat the stairwell railing, some older than others.
“i don’t know.” you’ve been sitting in silence for so long that hyunsu’s voice nearly startles you when he speaks. he takes a shaky breath before he continues, still staring into space. “i’m… scared. what if…” he pauses. tears sting at the corners of his eyes but he blinks them away before they can threaten to fall, though it does little to prevent the way his voice cracks. “what if i become a monster?”
“hyun…” you can’t help yourself. you react without thinking - all but throwing your arms around him as if the tighter you hold him the easier it will be to mend the pieces of his cracked heart back together.
hyunsu tenses in your arms. his breath hitches in surprise; his eyes widen and his heart beats erratically in his chest. a few agonizing second pass before he reacts. hesitantly. slowly. but he reacts.
shaky hands wrap around your waist. hyunsu lets his eyes flutter closed as he relaxes into your arms, burying his head into the crook of your neck. thick strands of his dark hair tickle the exposed skin of your neck. you can just barely feel a few stray tears slowly begin to seep into the fabric of your shirt.
“that won’t happen.” your hands grip his hoodie tightly, almost like he’ll disappear if you let go. pulling away, you reach up to cup hyunsu’s cheek with your hand. “i promise. i won’t let that happen.”
a beat of silence passes. deep brown eyes stare into your own. leaning in, you press a kiss against his cheek. you can just barely taste the saltiness of his tears. hyunsu closes his eyes, further relaxing against your touch. this time there’s no tension in his shoulders or tremble in his hands when he pulls you closer.
you kiss him again - this time on the other side of his face. and again. and again. and again.
his skin feels warm against your own, in contrast to the unrelentingly cold air surrounding you. winters in seoul have always been unforgiving, only made worse by the lack of heating in the lobby of the green home apartment building.
your touch is gentle when you brush your thumb against his cheek. you don’t hesitate at all when you lean in, pressing your lips against his in a sweet kiss. “i love you,” you murmur. “please don’t ever forget that.”
hyunsu doesn’t respond. at least, not verbally. instead, he intertwines your fingers together, stroking his thumb against your knuckles and tracing the dips and valleys of your palm. it’s soft. so simple you almost don’t realize it’s there - but it is. and you do.
a promise is written against your skin. i love you too.

꩜ [ 1.1k words ]
Tumblr media
“in love.”
what the actual fuck. your best friend that you’re like, in love with just confessed that he was in love with you. this has to be a dream, something so unreal because how could cha hyun-su, your hyun-su reciprocate your romantic feelings?
you didn’t respond because you were unable to form words. how were you supposed to respond to this man confessing his love for you? say you love him back. which wasn’t a lie but were you ready to say something as earnest as that?
“wait, i didn’t mean that; i did but if you don’t feel the same then please pretend i didn’t say it. i don’t wanna ruin our friendship, you know you’ve been one of my close friends for the longest and i’d ha-“ he started with the word vomit, basically unable to stop himself.
“hyun-su.” you tried to interrupt him.
“-te to ruin what we have. not relationship-wise, but you know like ruin our friendship. i really do value it. i’m sorry if i made things-“ he continued.
“cha hyun-su.” you tried to interrupt him for a second time.
“between us awkward. i don’t want us to not be friends so i’m really sorry if this does ruin..”
“hyun-su. i-“ you let out a shaky breath before continuing, finally catching his attention. “i love you so so much hyun-su… i can’t pretend that i don’t anymore. you need to know that i’ve grown to care for you deeply, since the first time i laid eyes on you. i was just so unaware of how i truly until recently. it feels as if i was put in this universe simply to love you, and to care for you. because you are my everything hyun-su and i’d rather die than imagine living in a world without you. even in this fucked up world, i’d hate to live in it without. i love you hyun-su, so much.”
your confession left both you and hyun-su speechless. you didn’t know that you couldn’t put your feelings into words like how you did, but you were able to do it. you were finally able to tell your best friend how you felt about him. meanwhile, he was left speechless because he didn’t know that this entire time when he felt as if his existence centered around you, you felt the same.
you cared for him, you’ve been in love with him ever since you first met him, and you can’t imagine living in a world without him. above all, you’ve harbored the same feelings that he has all this time.
“i didn’t know you felt the same way.”
“well, you know now so…”
“does this make you my girlfriend now?” hyun-su asked a bit bashfully.
“obviously. but only if this makes you my boyfriend.”
after your statement, the two of you stood there practically basking in the other's presence. everything felt better now that not only were both of your feelings, but you’re officially dating.
it felt good to have someone to call your partner in the monster outbreak you found yourself in the midst of. not only was he your partner, but he was your best friend. he was the person you always confided in, spent time with, and one of the few people whose presence didn’t exasperate you to no end.
“so, where are we off to now, boyfriend?” you asked him, all smiley and giggling at the fact that he was really yours.
“wherever you decide to take us, girlfriend.” he replied, giving the same excited energy that you gave off.

as you and hyun-su walked hand in hand through the corridors, you both were unaware of eun-yu watching you with a smile.
she assumed her matchmaking skills had worked this entire time. she’s spent so long trying to get the both of you together, but she guessed her recent conversation with you finally made you come to your senses and confess (not knowing that hyun-su was the one who did it first.)
she was so tired of seeing the both of you sneak glances at the other while they weren’t looking, or listening to you make little comments about hyun-su that sounded a little too intimate to be meant in a friendly way.
for example, the one time you described him as “so boyfriend”, whatever that was supposed to mean. but who refers to their friend using their boyfriend? someone who wants to be with said friend of course.
so, eun-yu did what had to be done and set her two friends up, but it was mainly because she couldn’t bear to see both of you pining after the other.
she should honestly be given the friend of the year award with how many times she’s been helping you. she has seen you in both your best and worst moments, and she’s stayed through all of it. she doesn’t regret it though, she’d help you all over again if she had to.

you and hyun-su walked hand in hand to the staircase he always found himself on. as you made it there, you both just sat there in a comfortable silence, as the two of you often found yourself in.
with this outbreak, you never imagined yourself being in a relationship, and definitely not with the boy you’ve had a crush on for like, forever.
the serendipity of your situation felt just right. hyun-su being one of the only good things in such a fucked up situation felt just right for you.
“i never thought i’d, like, find myself here, you know?”
“find yourself where?” hyun-su questioned you.
“like alive in the apartments, and with you.” you said somewhat timidly.
it felt a little odd being so vulnerable with him so quickly. but, that was just the kind of comfortable you both were with each other. the kind of comfortable where you could confess any and everything without the feeling of the other shaming you.
“i know. sometimes it feelings like everything happens so fast, doesn’t it?”
“yeah. you get it.”
it always felt like this talking to him. like he always understood you and what you were saying every time you talked. you always joked that you understood him on a spiritual level, but at some point, you started to actually mean it. you felt like you both understood each other like no one else could.
you were happy, for the time being at least. the apartment was doing okay at least, you had your best friend eun-yu, and now you had your newly titled boyfriend, cha hyun-su by your side.

That afternoon, hyun su went out to get supplies and also to visit Ah-yi. As he left, he promised his beloved that he would return safely. All was well in his absence. Well, as well as could be expected in a post-apocalyptic world.
Yes, everything was fine. But one thing was bothering y/n. For some time she had suspected she was pregnant. She wasn't sure of anything. Maybe her hormones were playing tricks on her after a thousand and one monster attacks. Yes, that must be it. SHE COULDN'T BE PREGNANT. Of course she couldn't be.
How could she raise a child in this totally ravaged world. She thanked God every sunrise that she, hyun su, Ah-yi and yi-kyeong were still wanted. They were all she had left after all.
But just affirming that she couldn't be didn't reassure her.
Delulu IS not a solulu
Even though she'd made a promise to hyun su to stay inside and be safe. And took a map and her bag to the nearest pharmacy two blocks away. What could possibly happen to her? Death? Who knows.
"Just go, everything will be fine. You'll get your pregnancy test, find out you're not pregnant and hyun su won't find out".
On the way, she makes sure there's no monster. When she could barely see their little house, the muscle monster appeared in front of her. He grabbed her by the feet, dangling her in the air ready to devour her. She had the reflex to pull out her knife from....... je ne sais où and slice off his body-built hand. She landed flat on her stomach, bleeding and confused. Her vision was foggy, in her ears she could only hear white noise. There she lay, agonizing on the grass, looking around hoping to regain her sight.
She needed only a moment to formulate a plan. She revealed herself, running with all her being towards the nearby cliff with Musculor behind her. Just as she needed to jump, she veered to her left as quickly as possible. The monster, too slow on the trigger, falls off the cliff.
"Proteins. !!!!!" He continues to shout despite his fall.
She stands up in pain. No time to rest, she has to get home before hyun su. Resuming her walk towards the pharmacy, she didn't notice hyun su who had witnessed the scene. He had tried to help her with the monster, but he was too far away. He had shouted her name several times, begging her to come back home. But not a reaction from her. For her it was just a blur, but for him it was something else. He'd seen her looking at him, and she'd seen him clearly, but she'd just chosen to ignore his pleas, his tears and him. He was hurt.He was wounded. Why she rejects him. He ends up alone with his monster, who keeps telling him he's unworthy of love and that she hates him.
She returned home that evening without any further complications. She was prepared to see a possibly distraught Hyun Su when she got home, but she explained everything to him. Instead, she found her rooms in disarray, not her beloved. She panics and thinks that something has happened to him. She runs around looking for him.
She finds him after Ah-yi pushes Eun-yoo into the ditch and Hyun su saves her.
"Did you think I was going to give you a reunion hug? "He said.
"Yes, I hoped so." This time it was Eun-yoo who spoke.
She tries to approach him, but he stops her with the acid from his claws, once and then again before she stops.
He withdrew his claws. Finally he saw me, but he had a strange reaction. His eyes stared at me, he began to tremble, and his eyes filled with tears.
I tried to approach him gently, but like second nature, his claws stopped in front of my eyes.
"Don't you dare come near me," he said, shaking.
"Hyun Su-"
"Are you deaf? I TOLD YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM ME."
He finds himself taking Ah-yi's hand and off they go. Ah-yi is confused as to why two of the people he cares about are suddenly fighting.
Y/n returns home upset. Why did he react so aggressively? It doesn't fit.
The next morning, Y/n goes to the hospital where she heard human voices, hoping to find Hynsu.
At the entrance I meet Ah-yi, who stops me.
"Eonni! "She says and runs into my arms.
"Hey, angel. Are you okay?"
"Yes. Nuna, have you been crying? Is it because Oppa yelled at you yesterday?"
"Don't worry about it, as soon as I sort him out we'll come and visit you and your mom, okay?" I said between two kisses.
If only she knew
"Come on, back to the boat."
I continued my search for Hyun Su but ran into Eun-yoo who blocked my way.
"Don't you understand that he doesn't want you anymore?"
"Eun-yoo, get out of my way.
"No, I won't. Leave him alone for once. Always following him around like a dog, you're getting pathetic."
"You criticize my life as if yours is a good example.
"Leave him the hell alone"
"I have found the most amazing, beautiful, kind, sweet boy who makes me smile every time I see him. He makes me feel like I'm special, beautiful, worth so much, and he makes me feel loved more than ever.
And you want me to leave him with you? "
I say my last word and leave him alone in his corner.
I finally find him sitting on a bed. Just breathe, everything will be fine.
I enter the room and walk over to him. He looks at me. His eyes are not the same. He holds out his hand, and I take it hesitantly. Somehow I end up in his lap and he begins to hug me.
"Hmmm. I've always wanted to do this, but that idiot always refused".
I stand up and elicit a disappointed sigh from him.
"I want to talk to MY hyun Hyun Su."
"Are you sure? I won't be able to do anything if he takes control again.
"Yes, bring him in."
His eyes returned to normal and he turned away from me.
"What are you doing here? Haven't you hurt me enough?"
"I assure you that was not my intention, I just wanted to..."
"Just what? Get away from me? Leave me? Do you hate me so much that you'd run away in my absence? You could have at least told me to my face," he said, tears streaming from his eyes.
"No, it's not that I-"
"YOU WHAT? A MONSTER CAN HAVE FEELINGS TOO, YOU KNOW...YOUR DECISIONS HAVE REPERCUSSIONS ON THOSE AROUND YOU. I CAN'T STAND THAT YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ME OR OUR RELATIONSHIP."
"You think I don't care? I took this risk for us."
"For us? Ah, that's a good one. Don't lie to me," he got a few things in his face, looking closer he saw a positive pregnancy test.
"If you'd at least let me finish. That's why I left yesterday. I had to be sure before I told you. "She said angrily and crying.
Meanwhile, Hyun Su's eyes shifted from her to the object in his hands. He couldn't believe his eyes.
"Yes, I took a risk yesterday and I'm sorry I worried you, but-"
"It's okay. I apologize for upsetting you like that. It's okay," he cradles her in his arms as she breaks down crying on top of him.
He lifts her chin with two fingers and kisses her passionately. A kiss of reconciliation, soft, slow and full of emotion. After a moment, they separated and looked at each other.
"Can you forgive me? I got carried away. I'm sorry."
"I'm the one who should say it, I left without telling you".
"Hey, it's okay now, let's forget about it. We don't have anything else to do now. We have to prepare for the arrival of our child."He pulled her towards the bed.
"Now come here, you must be tired after so many emotions."
They lay down, still kissing each other so lovingly
