I do think they have implied that hell is a separate place from the Devildom (aka the Underworld where Solomon walked through the rings and Luci got trapped in the ice). And they don't remember each life. Though if this happens enough perhaps Solomon or somebody comes up with a spell that can restore all their memories.

I do think it'd be interesting if Michael intervened and somehow got MC to be in the Celestial Realm, especially if they had no memories of the Devildom and everything. Imagine being an angel and then suddenly you get those memories back and you're like, that's it, I'm falling.

Which leads me to the question of how does one fall?

They don't really get into the specifics of that, either. Can you choose to fall? Or do you just do terrible things with the hope that the consequence will be banishment to the Devildom?? I have thoughts about this, but it's all just personal headcanon stuff.

I do think it makes sense for MC to just sorta end up in the Devildom because yo that's basically their home now, you know?

I tend to headcanon that due to the pacts and the "ring" and everything else MC has been through, they have enough magic interfering with their usual biology that they're probably already immortal. Just because that makes sense to me. I also think Solomon probably knows a way to make them immortal if they really wanted to be. vampire!MC lol

AHHH reaper!MC!! Thirteen would be thrilled!! They don't really give us a whole lot of info about the reapers either, but I headcanon that they're neutral and somewhat outside of the whole Devildom vs Celestial Realm situation. I have a lot of ideas about this, but again it's all personal headcanon.

So I think any of these options are possible! And it's certainly fun to think about all the ways in which MC's death might be dealt with. Somehow I don't think we're gonna get anything like that in canon, but I guess you never know!

She sits against stone and closes her eyes and when she opens them again, a borrowed Imladris is daubed on the walls. She circles around it in her head, dizzy and tired and deeply sad but the colours do not fade. She fills the room with laughing ghosts: her daughter braiding her sweat-soaked hair, her sons clattering around the corner, elbowing each other. The reeking oval room turns into all her old haunts — a rock is where the singers sit with their lyres and pay tribute to the sky (which she has painted perfectly on the ceiling with her eyes). Imladris lingered, stretching through the cave, it's nooks and crannies weaving itself into the rhythm of captivity. She borrows the cliffs, the laughter, the love. It is the last coin Celebrìan has to spend.

And then she wakes in the healing halls for the first time after her rescue and draws the curtains just for a sense of continuity, knowing the glittering hills and shining cliffs of Imladris will greet her like they used to. Except they were no longer there. It seemed like a hitch in the wallpaper, the complete lack of landscape outside her window, like the uncanny blankness her mind kept superimposing on Elrond's face.

The caves, it seemed, had followed her home.

They slip in and out of view each day Celebrìan spent in the valley, their presence becoming as inevitable as the turning of the seasons, bringing their own sets of rituals and farewells, their own balance of grief and anger, interruption and return. The caves become a part of her Imladris, her Elrond, recurring like the fall of leaves and the bloom of spring, woven into the very fabric of her new existence, too familiar to be questioned.

She had, after all, only borrowed Imladris. Now the tithe has been paid, and her home is gone.

This is what it comes to, in the end — Elrond and Imladris as collateral damage to Celebrìan's salvation. He would have followed her anywhere, all over the world, through forests and under mountains, but he cannot follow her across the sea. They had stood against evil and its rows of insidious forces, hand in hand. He had her back, read her mind, shouldered her burdens while she took on his battles. But when it comes to the caves, Celebrian can only fight alone and thus could only ever flee alone. She cannot save the both of them any longer.

And so one day as she stands in the marble chill of her balcony looking out at the valley, Celebrían thinks reflexively, unprompted — I must sail. She closes her eyes, and mentally adds herself to the list of people who’ve broken Elrond Peredhel's heart.

Her beloved white cliffs crumble into sand before her, the Bruinen silent as the grave. Imladris is no longer Imladris, Elrond is no longer Elrond, and the cliffs inevitably taper into caves and crags and rough peaks. Celebrìan looks up at the sky, if only to ensure it remains.

aether manipulation – a healing ability? a hurting ability? aether can be whatever the user desires to use it for. many of lily’s abilities all involve manipulation of aether in some form, however for this specific power, i’ll state that this allows her to imbue her weapons with aether to pull off feats that normal humans couldn’t be capable of. this can also lend itself to enhancing her own physical capabilities so that she can jump insane distances/punch really hard, and she can impart aether to people in order to enhance their own abilities/heal from wounds.

ice-aspected magic – like it says on the tin! lily has the power to manipulate and create ice. this can be used offensively or defensively, whether it be via imbuing her lance with the force of blizzards or summoning a barrier of ice. can help in a pinch if you need something chilled fast!

fire-aspected magic – more of the above, save for the fact that it would be for manipulating fire instead. if you’re looking to camp out for the night, or light a candle, then lily can surely lend you a hand.

inherent abilities:

dragoon training – lily has been studying the art of wielding lances since she was barely an adolescent. with it, she has incredible control/balance over her body, and is able to transfer her strength from one part of her body to another with ease. flexible, nimble, and slippery, she can wield lances, tridents, and spears like they’re extensions of her own body.

crafting skills – likes baking! also sewing. works with metal a lot, typically for detailing weapons, jewelry, etc. she enjoys tinkering.

gathering skills – enjoys some casual botany and mining, as a treat.

dragoon’s soul crystal – the soul crystal of a fallen dragoon. within in it are the memories of past dragoons, whose experiences help her to better aim her lance. she’s owned it since she was a child, where she found it at the thrift market in limsa lominsa. it’s stayed with her ever since.

black mage’s soul crystal – a somewhat newer addition to lily’s inventory within the last year, granted to her when she had gone to study magic in old sharlayan. supposedly having belonged to someone who had been consumed by blasphemy, the memories within it are filled with darkness and discipline. she draws these experience in order to manipulate aether as a black mage.

dragoon armor – sick as fuck looking armor. she hardly uses it because she’s insane, but it has a nice, extremely pointy aesthetic.

hinge is so fucking stupid. dating apps are stupid. people on there are great sure but like i hate online dating. it’s so stupid. idk why im so angry about this. oh yeah it’s cause it gets so overwhelming to reply to everyone. like i don’t wanna reply to anyone. i feel like im being trampled on in a crowd. it’s too loud and it’s too many noises. i just wanna go on a walk and not be scared of running into my crush. mff was fucking amazing, but i’m still recovering from my hangover after the open bar at the stupid VIP lounge. like idk how i got so drunk so fast off of 4 tiny glasses of prosecco. other people had 9 drinks and were still fine, and i was stumbling. at some point in the night it got so fucking sweaty and dense w people, my glass slipped from my hand, cause of the condensation and sweat, it didn’t break but the drink spilled onto the floor. i tried cleaning it up but felt so bad for doing that. like i don’t usually get drunk drunk. maybe cause i haven’t had drinks in a while? idk man. i’m still recovering from the long weeks at mff and all the people i met and it was wonderful and exhausting and i have turned my assignments in amidst all the chaos. i should be happy but i am weirdly super miserable. like i even have money in my bank account now. a decent amount. which is so rare, because normally i have between 10 and 20 dollars to survive the week till my next payment. anyway, things are good. i’m just annoyed. i don’t feel too good. a bunch of things triggered a lot of my childhood trauma recently and i was bawling my eyes out like a child for the full 45 minutes i was in therapy yesterday. maybe i’m annoyed because i have a crush. and they kinda seemed interested in me too? which was surprising. but i’m not gonna see this person probably ever again. because in this city you don’t get to meet the same people twice. and i’m a dumbass. and i flipped a coin. anyway. today i ate a bit more than i should have. but it’s cause i was super hungry all day. and confused and overwhelmed. it’s crazy how much work and studying i do for someone who is so mentally ill. god i’m just limping my way through life but i’m actually catching up? this is success. this is how i had hoped things would turn out. this is what i prayed to god would happen. it’s happening. and yet for some reason i’m still not happy. maybe it’s cause my room is still really messy and that’s a big source of shame and guilt for me, along with it physically making life harder for me because i lose things and trip over the clutter and can’t have friends over. at least the bugs are gone. i didn’t even do anything, they just left. by themselves. how polite. anyway yeah so my messy room. and some of my loved ones are sad. and it’s just a little complicated with some people in my life at the moment. but it’s one of those things that naturally get resolved in time. there’s an inspection at my house in 2 days time. i know it’s going to be a stressful process for me but im going to do my best to clean up my room earlier so that i dont lose sleep and have a full on panic attack the morning of.

i feel like i’d be a lot calmer once my room situation is dealt with. one step at a time. for example, i don’t struggle with laundry anymore since i figured out a system that works for me. same with taking out the trash. and i assume it will be the same for cleaning. it’s just a matter of doing it well enough times so that i believe i can do it again, and that it doesn’t have to be so unpleasant and stressful if i don’t leave it all for one day and spread it out over a few days. this is going to be okay. i am going to be okay. and my health is looking better even though i haven’t taken care of my body in the last one week due not having the time, but i can easily go back. i’m not at square one, ill be restarting at a decent state this time so it’ll be easier and faster to get to health now. i should make a proper to do list. time to ease back into life and everyday chores. it’s all every difficult while it’s happening but it’s much better when it’s done. also with the difficulty starting, cause of the lack of dopamine and serotonin in my brain. but i can make it work. things are going to be fine. i am actually fine. the angels were right. i DO know how to figure it out.

okay maybe this is good advice. i’m more open to getting rejected as long as i’ve put myself out there. you know when they say you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. it’s true. i’ve been so much happier since i started taking risks. life is not about being as safe as possible. gotta put myself out there, gotta believe in good change. gotta accept that if i want to be happier i have to accept happiness when it comes my way. when im scared i only want stability and smooth sailing, but i realise im happier when i’m trying to step outside of my comfort zone and grow. i am capable of more but i can’t do more if i stay stuck at home from fear of the unknown. this is all getting a little too vague for anyone who doesn’t live inside my head. i’m gonna go take a walk soon. i deserve a good walk.
