This scene is genuinely so great, I LOVE the way they did it. Like Mumford was supposed to follow tradition and give Rocker some lucky charm (a pocket knife in his case) but instead he gave him some heartfelt words and praise??? Some good fucking food right here

street being off swat for 7 whole episodes and having a whole arc and growth in that time and earning his place back was so fucking satisfying to watch

I love arcs that take time and last a good few episodes. who would've thought a longer story with good payoff would be so fun and interesting huh

i understand tim when he brought back lou cuz when i found out that lou was in swat i started watching the show even though i’ve been putting it off cuz i didn’t think i’d like it.

So I’ve seen for a while now that Val, Rocker’s wife, seemed to get a lot of hate and in most fics they’re divorced. And I kinda just attributed it to fandom’s instinctual hate towards a lot of established heterosexual couples. We see that all the time in fandom, ya know? Fans want characters to be queer, so they send hate to the wives/girlfriends or husbands/boyfriends of their blorbos. 9-1-1 has been a classical example of this for both Buck and Eddie. I kinda shrugged it off as that.

But I just watched s1ep14 of SWAT “Ghosts” and holy shit.

Nope. Throw the whole wife away. She didn’t once think that the whole thing she did “for her husband” could land him in deep shit?! She didn’t care about jeopardizing his job?! And then didn’t shut up when Rocker tried to fix things?!

Throw her away.

I don’t care if he later gets with a woman, man, or an orange with purple spots alien. Just not Val.
