     he tastes iron and crimson, and he’s half blind in one eye thanks to the steady rivulet flowing from eyebrow. feet stumble every other step but daeho is following pure muscle memory until he’s falling through her front door and croaking her name - suffice to say, it was not a clean getaway, and he really should be anywhere but here.

       legs leaning against the wall, lying in bed, matt throws a hand-sized ball into the air, catching it in his hand over and over again. his thoughts are everywhere; he cannot keep his mind off noah, wondering how her date is going. frustrated, admittedly. though he would never allow himself to express that—or at least not intentionally. he brings his feet down from the wall to sit up, now passing the ball from one hand to the next. his foot begins to tap the floor repeatedly, causing his leg to shake. in all despair, he lifts himself up from the bed and walks into the living room. he peeks out the window just at the right time. not too long after, he spots noah getting out of her car. lines begin to form between his eyebrows as he tilts his head slightly to the right in confusion. “ hmm, ” he walks away from the window. a few moments pass before the bell rings. he answers the door, and just as expected, a familiar face appears before him. “ bad date ? ”

     he  doesn’t  know  how  he  got  here.  well  ,  okay  ,  yes  he  does.  he  remembers  the  drive  to  the  rink  he  spent  a  good  lot  of  his  childhood  at  ,  he  remembers  walking  in  ,  and  he  remembers  staring  at  ronan  with  his  mouth  agape  for  longer  than  necessary.  the  conversation  is  what  he  has  a  difficult  time  recalling  ,  too  stupefied  for  anything  more  than  a  few  verbal  responses  and  nods.  so  that’s  how  he  ends  up  lacing  his  skates  and  stepping  out  onto  the  ice  with  some  children.     “     um.  hi.     ”      he  greets  the  kids  awkwardly     (     everything  about  today  has  been  so  awkward     )     and  raises  a  hand  to  wave.     “      i’m  daehee.  rona—  mr.  chwe  asked  me  to  help  out  today.     ”     he  shoots  a  glance  at  the  other  man.  what  the  heck  was  he  supposed  to  do  now     ?

          she’s just mindlessly scrolling her netflix feed . minding her own business , taking her mind off of the inclination to bump up the treadmill’s speed and incline ( both for her own safety , and because she knows her self-appointed spotter will notice in a heartbeat ) ; bomi got the okay to tread for longer , though , so she’s taking her sweet time picking what to watch . no rush today . they’re both coming out of this session pleased and proud !

     “tell me you’re at least eating.” carefully woven tone, practiced and perfected, to keep up the image of indifferent criminal before the other - even as everything in him crumbles and yearns to close the distance.

                     arm wraps around the other’s shoulder, leaning close even though she knows she’s playing a dangerous game. her father’s just in the floor below them, and it’s honestly quite the wonder that he hasn’t figured out that jaehwa’s been snuck up into her room. “guess what?” the girl slips away from him to hop off her bed with a flourish, twirling once, skirt flying with its pretty flounce, before pointing at him like she was about to sing him the best pop song in the world. she was not, of course. “your girl’s been set up on another date. father says he’s quite handsome, though i imagine he’s only saying that because he thinks that’s all i care about. if only he knew what kinda guy i was really into.” astrid raises a brow at him, obviously making a jab at him and his looks.

     “school isn’t important.” a common declaration from hyunjun, notorious for skipping GE’s and attending maybe 75% of his core classes. but there’s something softer, and determined, in the way he says it now, entangled intricately with brooke as he is.

fawna was not the type to be confrontational, so when her boyfriend refused to come to the wedding with her she just let it go no matter how upset she was aout it. she didn’t get what the big deal was. but after things got sorted out and now she was going with jongdae, she was nervous at first seeing him again. but a bit more then a day into their trip and she’s enjoying his company that was until soomin found out what was going on. “i - i wasn’t keeping it from you i said who i was riding up with..” she quietly tried to protest his angry yelling on the phone. arguing was impossible because she could barely get anything in. “you’re over reacting..” she said softly only to pull the phone away as he yells surely loud enough for other to hear. 

a sigh leaving her lips. his words stung as he insults her and says how disrespectful she is. “if-- if you would have just come with me..” she says only for him to get more angry. “i told you i couldn’t! and now you’re acting like a whore going with some other guy. i don’t want to hear from you until your home, goodbye.” click. a heavy sigh falls from her as he lets her phone drop and she can feel tears building. less so from his reaction and more so from being yelled at and belittled. they had been on the rocks for a while, he used to be so different but lately he’s changed and fawna just wasn’t exactly sure why she was still hanging on. putting her face into her hands she can feel the tears spill out as she tries to remain quiet. // @svnnysidevp​

funny ,  that  last  one .  chul  has  spent  his  life  watching  things  grow  in  his  parent’s  shop ;  that’s  why  he  gets  so  upset  these  days  when  he  accidentally  steps  on  wildflowers  on  his  way  home .  if  anything ,  the  one  who’s  going  to  be  doing  the  beating - up  is  none  other  than  someone  half  his  size ,  &   probably  half  his  weight  to  boot  ...

                      “i genuinely have no clue what i’m doing right now.” hands are on the wheel as she looks at the other beside her, both nervous and thrilled that this is happening. she’s concerned she might wreck his car ( even if they were in an empty parking lot with not much to hit anyway ) but she’s excited that she even gets the chance to do this-- and with him, too! aidan’s been such a joy to be around, always so sweet and kind, that she couldn’t think of a better person to help her out with this. 

the key isn’t even in the ignition yet, she’s yet to fasten her seatbelt, and her back is a little stiff. daisy turns in her seat, finally letting go of the steering wheel to face him better. “are you sure i can do this? what-- what if something goes wrong?”
