Okay, I’m trying to get rid of my old FCs, but now that I’m looking back at old art and headcanons again, I’m falling in love all over again??

Since my OnS OCs are particularly what I was looking at just a sec ago, I’m going to post some of my OcxCanon ship art because I can!

First up is my super out-of-nowhere ship, Hikaru and Shinoa!! I wrote a fic about them (it’s on ao3 too) because I just think they’re actually adorable, and frankly, Shinoa deserves not only to be well-written, but also to have someone who respects her 😤

And then I also have a sliiiiightly headcanoned ship with Mitsuba and Rei! I don’t remember where this came from, but at some point I just thought they’d be cute together 💕

And then we have Lest and Minami!! I don’t care what weird plot twist Kagami is going to make with Lest, but he’ll always be my son, and Minami is my daughter, and they’re in love, your honour. This one was also kind of an accident, but I also just find the two vampire children developing crushes on each other super adorable, and I love the idea of Minami becoming his queen! The idea of a country being run by two vampire children is both hilarious and terrifying.

I also have them dressed as pirates 🏴‍☠️

And ofc, the OnS OC ships list isn’t complete without Olivia and her dumbass king, Urd! I really love their dynamic in my fanon, and tbh I want to write like an actual fic about Olivia’s betrayal and Urd agreeing to take her side because he trusts her. Because the trust between these two is 👌

AND OF COURSE!!! I could never ever ever forget about Suzue and Ferid!! God, the degree that this ship was completely accidental and yet became my whole life for a while is...astounding. I just love these two so goddamn much, their whole relationship is so complicated, and I just love that these two knuckleheads find solace in one another. While other characters play a role in it too, I like how Suzue is also a huge help for Ferid to stop being so depressed and withdrawn, and own up to the things he’s done. These two are a “fake marriage becomes real marriage” trope mixed with “enemies to lovers” and I will never be over it probably.

Just....LOOK AT THEM!! 💗

I also have fics of them on ao3, but part of me also wants like...more post-Shi-possession stuff, like when this scene takes place. Maybe I’ll start a “series” of short fics covering random parts in my fanon just for my own self-indulgence.

Anyways...THEY! HikaruxShinoa and ReixMitsuba aren’t necessarily in my main fanon for this series, but they drift by my thoughts on occasion.

Top 10 Movies of 2020

(10) Extraction – I didn’t expect to enjoy this film as much as I did. As a big fan of Chris Hemsworth and John Wick, this film struck the right chord with me. It has some problems, but the action scenes are a thrill to watch and the slow unraveling of the plot was fascinating. Far from a perfect film, but still a roller coaster of action!

(9) The Devil All the Time – This movie is really dark, but it’s also very memorable. Seeing Tom Holland in a different light really helped the intrigue of this movie. However, the demented and twisted imagery of this film still lingers in my head. It’s a dramatic film and one that makes me glad I watched it even if it was hard to sit through. The scenes of tension are very well done and the violence feels earned. Not the type of film I am usually boasting about, but this one got its hooks in me.

(8) Soul - This film did an amazing job of taking a predictable plot and making it surprising and fun! The characters are well fleshed out and the visuals are an absolute treat! It’s a bit simplistic, but that works to allow the characters to shine. The moral of the movie carries this film from good to great!

(7) 37 Seconds – This movie is heavy, but with its weight comes a story that packs a punch. The film has a brilliant performance by Kayama Mei; who uses her own experiences to elevate this story. It runs a bit too long, but the messages it carries about society and the treatment of disabled people is poignant and powerful. Definitely a story that felt impactful in more ways than one.

(6) Ichido Shinde Mita (Not Quite Dead Yet) – When going to see this film, I was actually really worried that it wasn’t going to be a funny film. Luckily, once the gears started turning, the movie seemed to get into its own rhythm and it paid off. Funny performances from Hirose Suzu and Yoshizawa Ryo really bring this film together. It’s not the greatest comedy I have ever seen, but it felt like it hit a great balance that strangely makes me nostalgic to watch it again. Just a funny, sweet film.

(5) Hatsukoi (First Love) – I’m almost always down to see a film made by Miike Takashi. The only problem is he is such a “hit or miss” director. I’m happy to say that Hatsukoi was an absolute hit. A simple, but engaging plot wrapped around the insanity that Miike puts into his films. It’s engaging, funny, and memorable. Definitely my favorite Japanese film of the year.

(4) The Gentleman – This movie took me by surprise because I wasn’t expecting much out of it. It is a bit confusing at times, but it works out to create a film that’s absolutely memorable and witty. The dialogue and performances are on-point and the direct, matter-of-fact humor just works so well. It’s a movie I find popping back into my head time and time again. It’s hot.

(3) Wonder Woman 1984 – Campy, but fun! There are plenty of character moments that are very charming and the action sequences are a lot of fun! It reminds me of the original two Superman movies. The ideas in the film are intriguing and the movie feels fresh with how it approaches things. I’m very glad it’s self-contained as well! It’s just fun, interesting, and takes me back to superhero films of old! I may be an outlier with how much I loved this one, but it had some really great qualities throughout!

(2) Bill and Ted: Face the Music – By all accounts the movie shouldn’t have worked, but I adore this film. It’s hilarious, it’s touching, and it’s just so much fun. The performances, especially from Alex Winter, are incredible! The plot is familiar yet new and it just has an optimistic core. The film has dialogue that has entered my lexicon and I can’t get over how this film just struck a chord with my heart. It really helps make Bill and Ted a memorable, iconic trilogy! It’s optimistic, hilarious, and strangely comforting. By every definition, it is most excellent!

(1) Sonic the Hedgehog - Listen. It’s a Sonic movie. It was going to be on my list. While the film is NOT what I wanted for a Sonic film, it was still a great time. Sonic’s character was very well realized and Jim Carrey gave a memorable performance as Dr. Robotnik/Eggman. There’s a lot of heart and fun to be had. It has flaws, but it’s still a competent movie. Also, I’m biased as hell, so take this ranking with a grain of salt. Really... Bill and Ted deserves this spot, but with how invested I am with this stupid Hedgehog Series... it shouldn’t a surprise that this is up here! This would be in my top 10 regardless, but I think I’m just putting it up here for what it represents to me, personally. I’m the furthest thing from an unbiased party. Ah, Sonic, it’s a good flick!

bwahh thank you so much! this might get long, so apologies if this ends up in a couple asks. so i'm looking for a girl of unspecified asian descent (futuristic sci-fi world where all of asia has formed into one country called "the eastern commonwealth", her adopted family is vietnamese, she lives in "new beijing", she's described as 'tanned with mousy brown hair', the author based her off of mew azuma, idk what she's going for here). she's 16/17 in canon, but i'm gonna play her a little (cont)

older than that. the hardest part i’m having is that i would prefer to have an actress over a musician/model, since their icons look more natural to me, and i need someone who’s not super feminine. the character i’m playing starts out as a mechanic. (she ends up as a queen, but i’m not daring to hope i’d be able to find both of those in the same fc.) so i need someone who wears more dirty clothes, or at least not pink and soft and dainty. if you can think of anything, i’d appreciate any help ♥♥♥
