desc. // waking up next to your boyfriend means lots of cuddles and kisses, and you couldnât be happier
requested by anon !
A sliver of light shone down on your face, the clouds above your window gliding across the sky to let the sun fully gleam down across the city. Fall was coming, and you couldn't be happier. The weather was getting gloomier and the days were becoming lazier, you really had to fight the urge to stay in bed all day. You squinted as you looked out your bedroom window, you had only just woke up, but the sun was so bright you figured you had slept in a bit too much. However, as you slowly turned to glance next to you, it seemed you weren't the only one. Sleeping like a baby, his hands folded under his head and his legs curled up as he slept, was Suwoong. He was on his side, facing you, totally knocked out from the night before; he must've been really tired. You couldn't help but smile as you looked at him, thinking he really did look like an angel under the light tap of the sun's rays, his soft cotton shirt just begging you to cuddle up to it again. Sighing, you turned on your side to face him, really enjoying this moment that you knew was rare. He works so hard, he never got to sleep as much as he needed to, and seeing him being able to get some rest for once made you glad. Besides, if Suwoong knew you were watching him sleep, he'd get all embarrassed and say you were weird. You laughed to yourself a bit at the thought of this, suddenly looking around for your phone so you could take a picture of his adorable sleeping face before he woke up. But as you reached to the floor next to you to grab your cell phone, you heard him sniffle a bit, making you turn to look at him with a smile. His sparkly eyes fluttered open, still halfway shut, and his eyes immediately focused on you. He grinned a bit before closing his eyes again. You giggled. "Good morning, princess," you joked softly, reaching over to poke his arm that was pulling the blanket up and over his chest. He groaned a bit, pushing your hand away like a baby, getting comfortable under the warmth of the fleece. "Suwoong," you murmured, glancing at your phone's lockscreen which was, uncoincidentally, a picture of him. "You know it's past noon, right?" He only grumbled again, and grabbed ahold of your wrist, yanking you into him gently. You complained a bit, saying you were going to fix breakfast for you both, but he strictly ignored you, knowing you were powerless against him and his cuddles. He pulled you close into his chest, throwing the blanket over you as well, making sure you were warm and comfortable. You wouldn't deny that it was getting cold without him there next to you, so you obliged, clinging onto his body as he wrapped his arms around your waist. Your chests were pressed together, his chin on top of your head, and you couldn't have been happier. You sighed, realizing you were really, really lucky. As you cuddled into your soft boyfriend, you knew you had everything you had ever wished for. A caring boy, someone to talk to, someone who actually cared about you, a lot. "Suwoong," you whispered, moving your head to look up at him a bit. He met your eye with a hum, pushing some of your hair behind your ear softly. You smiled, "I love you," He grinned such a big smile at you, you felt your heart was about to burst. "I love you too, (Y/N)... so much," he said in a loving voice, running his hands through the locks of your hair. He pinched your cheek gently, still smiling that brilliant smile at you. "You're so cute," he chuckled. "Stop," you laughed, but you didn't want his touch to cease. You loved when he played with your hair, it made you all soft and gooey inside. "You are cuter," you argued, pouting your lower lip a bit as Suwoong cradled you in his arms. He let out a soft chuckle. "Let's stay here for a while, ok?" he said, your bodies morphing together as he pulled you down further into the bed, tangling both of your legs together. "Okay," you agreed, putting your hands on his arms that were holding so tightly onto your waist. He sighed again, running a hand through his light blonde hair before laying his head down on the pillow right next to yours. He kissed the top of your head sweetly, ruffling your hair and taking one of your hands in his. Your fingers intertwined with each other as if there was a magnet that kept them connected at all times, like it was just a natural thing. Suwoong brought up both of your hands into the light, raising them up so you both could see them. He snickered a bit to himself as he looked at them, and then he glanced at you. "You know, when people said their hands fit in perfectly with the hands of the person they loved, I thought, how does that work? I always thought it was kinda strange," he explained, examining both of your hands, molded together like they were always meant to be. "But now, I realize it couldn't be more accurate," You giggled as he pulled your hands up to his small, soft lips and kissed them lightly. "It makes sense," you said, feeling as if you were in a dream. Having moments like this, where you two were totally alone, was pretty rare. You both worked a lot, and your schedules didn't always match up to where you had free time together. But every once in a while, the stars would align, and you could create sweet memories like this together. Just being in each other's presence was something that could bring you happiness for the next few days, and you were always grateful to spend time with Suwoong. But moments like these where you could truly enjoy each other's company was why you adored him so much. Feeling immensely happy, you leaned into him and pecked his lips, making him turn pink in surprise. "What was that for?" he questioned, smiling at you. You shrugged. "No reason," you replied as a giddy smirk crossed your mouth. He snickered a bit. "Maybe you could do it again?" he asked, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and bringing you closer to him, a sly grin growing on his face. You giggled shyly, feeling a bit embarrassed, but at the same time you were feeling very generous. You put your hands on his cheeks and threw your legs around his waist. "Come here, you."

Title:Â Familiar smile Fandom:Â Boys Republic Member:Â Suwoong and Minsu Genre/Warning:Â Fluff. None. Summary: So i request a friendship scenario. You are one if Minsus best friends but you two had no contact for long time bcos you moved. But one day when you back, you get to know Suwoong who you start dating and minsu donât know about this till (ur idea) Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Word Count:Â 1488
Your body woke before your mind did. It had sat itself up, just barely, the duvet pooling to your waist. Despite having moved two months ago, you found yourself slightly dazed as your tired eyes took in your surroundings. You registered the white walls and simple pot plants. The wooden Chester drawers under your window. The sliding door for your bedroom. Oh right. This is Seoul.
You suddenly remembered why you had woke up and frowned at your closed door as the faint ringing of your door bell repeatedly echoed like an alarm. You cursed under your breath, stretching your limbs when you rose from the bed. From the point you stood, up till you walked to the door, thoughts of how to kill the person, who by the way was still ringing the door bell, ran through your head. Your teeth had clenched and you growled unlocking the door to pull it open.
Your eyes widened slightly and immediately the creases in your forehead smoothed out and thoughts of murder turned into panicked ranting of oh my God my hair is probably a mess, do I have drool on my face, WAIT I HAVENâT BRUSHED MY TEETH YET,oh gosh my ha-. You yelp when youâre yanked into warmth, your skin pricking from the soft breathy laugh that the person hugging you made.
âYou forgot didnât you?â An immediate groan courtesy of you, because you did in fact forget that, one, you were going to see the man youâve been dating for the past month and a half, and two, that you were going to meet his friends today.Â
He giggled, looking down at your still sleepy form, head titled back in exasperation as you mentally berated yourself for forgetting. Soft lips pressed to your forehead and a happy sigh as Suwoongâs arms tightened around your waist and said âmy girlfriend is forgetful, isnât she?â You felt an uncharacteristic blush rise to your apple cheeks and stuttered a âwhat?â More laughing on Suwoongâs part as he kicked the door close and walked you backwards to the sofa, letting you fall onto the cushions. He remained standing and looked at you with a happy smile, âI would only let my girlfriend meet my friends.â You smiled immediately, feeling no need to protest - you did like him so why not? Nodding, you pulled Suwoongâs hand until he dropped down on the sofa next to you allowing you to snuggle in him - him giggling again, wrapping his arms around you.
The morning was peaceful like that for a while, but eventually you had to start getting ready. Suwoong left to take care of something while you pondered on what to wear. Luckily for you, the weather was relatively warm. You decided to walk the 20 minute or so journey as you took in the blooming flowers, earphones firmly placed in your ears. Â The subtle rays of sun shining through the clouds warmed your skin and a giddy feeling settled in your stomach. Just then, as you were about five minutes away, walking through the crowds, your phone went off.
Iâm going to be running late. Iâm sorry babe. Please wait inside. You came to a standstill as you read the message and a small feeling of disappointment went off in your stomach, but it couldnât be helped. Taking a deep breathe, you pushed open the door to the cosy restaurant in the middle of the high street. Inside, the lights were dim, casting most of the place in subtle darkness. There were candles dotted around and the place was relatively small.
Many people were already inside and the smell of various foods made your mouth water just slightly. You looked around and waited till a waitress approached you. âTable for?â She asked. You mentally listed names that Suwoong mentioned to you when he gave you a briefing of his little friend group. âUm, I think for 6?â The waitress nodded and led you toward the long tables in the corner. You slid onto the wooden bench against the back wall and puffed out a breath. You sent a text to Suwoong to let him know you were already there and that you had got a table. He responded with more sorryâs and promised to hurry.
Time ticked by and you grew bored, scrolling back and forth between the menu and your phone. You werenât exactly sure of how long you had been sitting there for but when you heard a faint voice say your name, you were so happy you shot up from your seat, scanning your surroundings for Suwoong. Instead your eyes landed on a familiar face with a just as familiar smile. âMinsu?â Your brows furrowed just as his smoothed out to be replaced with a cheesy grin. You both made excited noises as you hurriedly shuffled along the bench to crash into his open arms. There was a round of giggles and âOh wow I canât believe it - how long has it been?â as you clung to each other. âSit, sit.â You squealed as you practically dragged him down next to you on the bench. âWow? What? How have you been? What have you been doi- actually what are you doing here? I heard you went to travel? How was it? Where did you -â He cut you off with a loud laugh and your name. âI should be asking what are you doing here?â He said, shoving your head with a finger. You pouted and you felt your cheeks flush - You really should have kept in better contact with him.
âUm, well you know, New York was nice, but it lost its charm after a while or well, more like I lost my charm, so you know Iâd thought Iâd come home for a while. I actually went to see your mum and she told me that you were travelling. I donât know why I didnât get your number - sorry for not keeping in contact by the way, things just moved so fast and- âMinsu held onto one of your hands that had been fervently moving around as you babbled. âDamn, breathe child.â He laughed. Your gaze softened affectionately and you felt warmth spread through you hearing his laughter. âI missed you.â You said. He slowed his laughter into a smile and nodded. âTell me about it. How long has it been?â âA few years or give or take.âÂ
After that the chatter easily came, the conversation flowing as you both joked and caught up. You were just laughing at a joke he said, slapping his shoulder comically when your name was called. You looked up in surprise and wiped your eyes of the happy tears as a grin bloomed your face. âHey baby.â You said, stepping over the bench to round to Suwoong. You pulled him into a hug and gave him a quick peck on the lips and quickly remembered to introduce your childhood friend. âSuwoong this is -â âHey bro.â Your eyes widen in surprise when Minsu clasped a hand around Suwoong and brought him in for  a chest bump. You recalled your boyfriend mentioning a Minsu, but never thought anything of it. âYou chatting up my girl?â Suwoong laughed as he playfully narrowed his eyes between you both. âShe was actually my girl first.â Minsu said light heartily. âWhat?â You both questioned. Minsu laughed and told everyone to sit down, you only now noticing the other boys awkwardly standing behind Suwoong.
Introductions was made, you and Minsu telling everyone of how you were childhood friends and were united without realising the other knew Suwoong. Food and drink was ordered as the rowdy boys complained how hungry they were - Suwoong included who frequently got into playful fights with the other boys. You smiled softly seeing this side of him. âSo how long you been dating?â Questioned Minsu just as starters were served. âA month and a half - official today actually.â You beamed and reached across the table for Suwoongâs hand. He smiled just as lovingly back. âAnd you two?â Suwoong questioned. âDid you actually date?â Your face of horror, Minsu a loud laugh.
âNah, this was my partner in crime.â Empathising with a hard slap around your shoulder that had you slightly wincing and then some as Minsu went into all the horror stories that you experienced growing up. God, by the time he got to the stories of puberty you were just about ready to die. But, of course you had dirt on him too. The whole table laughed at the both of you, each story, despite being embarrassing, bringing an aching smile to your cheeks and a feeling of nostalgia. Just then you realised just how much you missed your best friend. You looked between Suwoong and Minsu and felt your cheeks rise impossible high. Iâm so lucky for both these men in my life.                                                     *** End ***

ě ě°žěë¸ ëě´ëęš 190725 MGA SEASON 5 + EPISODE FIVE +  #5050 FEATURING : CHOI MINHO & JEON HEEJIN ⨠ââ â ° PART ONE: PERFORMANCE, BBOOM BBOOM + DNA ( 0:00 - 1:55 ) âŠ
her mouth is full of chunks of noodles but she speaks anyway, hand raised to her mouth in an attempt to make the action appear a little less nasty than it actually was. âhonestly - i donât mind.â her pink hair waves with the rapid shaking of her head - adding on to the fact that they were all practically saying the same thing. âdancing, singing, itâs whatever! just donât make me rap, please?â and that was a personal plea.
an invitation from minho brought the trio to a restaurant that kyulkyung was just so in love with. they gathered in hopes of getting to know one another better and figure out exactly what they would be doing the rest of the week. and so far, this was going better than the woman couldâve hoped for.Â
when her pairing was once again announced first, it was hard to contain her excitement. this week she had truly hit the jackpot.Â
âiâve danced this entire time, iâm sure everyoneâs bored with it.â she jokes, pausing to take a sip of water amidst her devouring of her noodles. this certainly wasnât her usual burger after thursday filming, but it did not disappoint. âi can sing, dance, do both!! itâs okay!âÂ
in all honesty, she worried a bit about her performances on the show. were they becoming too repetitive? kyulkyung had yet to showcase any singing skill the entirety of her time on the show ( other than her audition ), and the fact made her nervous. sure, she was a good dancer, but wasnât she more than that?
the woman kept these worries to herself, wanting to do what would be best for everyone rather than just herself. advancing was crucial for the whole team, not just two of them, and that involved some leniency when it came to selecting a performance. everyone needed to be comfortable, willing to share the spotlight equally and lucky for them, that was exactly the case.
                                    â
kyulkyung admittedly was not a morning person. usually bright and peppy, the woman could barely manage to crack a genuine smile when sleep still laced every nerve and muscle in her body. it was a tiny bit easier when she was walking with heejin - her hair messily tied up into a bun and face bare despite the cameras that awaited them in sphereâs practice room.
the thought of practicing in a company practice room was exciting to her, but the woman managed to keep her cool. she didnât know much about many kpop idols, but knowing that practicing in these rooms meant that they were that much closer to the end was thrilling. it was hard to believe that they were going into episode five - that she was going into episode five.
she auditioned without worries, not thinking of how far she could actually make it and yet here she was - walking into a sphere practice room to prepare for the fifth episodeâs performance, hopes high and soaring as wild as ever.
the pair are expecting minho to meet them at the practice room, but she is NOT expecting the fear that overcomes her when she sees something unexpectedly colorful and tall sitting ominously in the center of the room. kyulkyung pauses midstep - door pressed firmly against her palm and mouth open in shock as she stares at the... clown wig?
the woman looks around before narrowing her eyes at the mirror, biting down on her lip but unable to stop the smile that spreads across her lips when minhoâs reflection stares back at her.
âheejin... should we be worried?â she whispers to the other girl, leaning a bit closer to her partner but eyes fixated on the clown wig that rests atop minhoâs head.
âjust one question.â she calls out into the room, âhow long have you been sitting there like that?â
                                    â
practice for episode five was vastly different than the past weekâs. kyulkyung was filled with worry while the environment that surrounded her this week proved to be vastly different. alongside having a trio that just genuinely got along and decided on their roles easily, the other group that shared the room with them made the experience that much more enjoyable. from facetiming suwoong from kyungsooâs phone to eating the quiche he brought it, it was hard for the woman to have any type of worry.
not to mention changbin who just had to flatter her and boost her ego a thousand times over. âyouâre one of the best dancers here!â and she just couldnât help but hug him.
the thought crossed her mind at least once, maybe she was just having too much fun. but she just couldnât help it.
the light-hearted nature of their performance made it easy to enjoy, but exciting to watch, the woman loved piecing it together, laughing over their mistakes but growing confident in their teamwork.
âoh my god, minho - heejin now!â kyulkyung gestured wildly to the younger girl who stood a wreck. her hair askew, flying in all directions because of the headgear that framed her eyes.âwe have to protect her image! hurry!!â she was laughing but moving quickly to stick her face in front of the camera - making dumb faces at the lenses as minho took care of heejinâs mess. their practices involved a lot of this, a lot of laughs and food but also a lot of excitement.
she had done fun routines before, but none like this. it was easy to smile, genuine movements able to create an undeniably alluring performance.Â
and she couldnât wait to show it.
                                   â
when filming came around, the woman couldnât help the anticipation leading up to their stage. it was hard to sit still, becoming more thankful that they were the first trio to perform as she couldnât imagine waiting much longer. similar to last week, kyulkyung hoped they could introduce episode five in a good way - set that bar high and expectations wild for the remained of the episode. performing first meant not having the pressure of following up a good stage and sheâs sure that at this point in the competition, everything would be a good one.
the mashup they selected complemented each other nicely, the stage they formulated to bring fourth a lighthearted atmosphere which reflected the past week perfectly. âwe didnât forget the goggles and the controller did we?â she asks, hopeful eyes met with reassurance that they would do just fine.Â
âhello! we are the royal court!â the trio greeted, introducing episode five with bright eyes and a playful atmosphere. straightening out the colorful stripes decorating her crop top, kyulkyung pulls at the fabric - shifting her weight on her feet as she waits to introduce herself. she holds her head high and keeps her shimmering lips pulled into a smile when she introduces herself, switching to chinese to begin her introduction per usual. âhello! number 5050, zhou jieqiong here! we prepared something a bit more fun to watch this week, hope you like it!â
a stool is sat center stage while kyulkyung and minho move to their respective ends of the stage - the pair at the end of opposite runways while heejin moves to the center one. the trio had planned this out vigorously, coming up with a cute scenario for their performance that would certainly be entertaining to follow along. it isnât hard to shift into the atmosphere of their routine, a naturally bubbly woman living for a song and performance as creative as theirs.
this week was vastly different than what she had shown with suwoong last week, and kyulkyung loved keeping everyone on their toes. what side of her would she show next? the mgas proved to be an excellent place for her to experiment the different sides of her dancing persona, the perfect platform to receive feedback and grow based on that. while last week seemed to have some mixed reviews, she cannot wait to show the her that she felt most comfortable in.Â
heejinâs walks towards the stool where their makeshift VR headset rests along with a controller, the âannouncerâsâ voice following shortly after.Â
JEON HEEJIN, SELECT A SONG TO CONTINUE
and so their performance begins - the song mashup turning up as kyulkyung and minho begin to slowly move up and down as characters do in the selection menu. she attempts a cute pose to match her song, bboom bboomâs bubbly lyrics and music bringing forth the darling in her.
âwhat are you doing? thatâs my song thatâs playing.â she speaks out, throwing on a pout and crossing her arms as she stares across the runway at minho, who counters with a no, itâs my song. she chose yours last time! before theyâre rushing towards center stage.
ě§ę¸ ë´ ëě ëě ëě ë¤ ě´ęš¨ ëŹ´ëŚ ë° (oh) ě¨ě´ í ë§í ę˛ ę°ě ë ëë§ ëł´ëŠ´
there were a lot of new experiences for kyulkyung this week. alongside relying on acting a bit more this week and usage of props, the woman was finally showcasing her singing on the show. the fact was exciting, but at the same time she couldnât help but fear the reactions. she wasnât a bad singer by any means, and most of her vocals this week were prerecorded anyways, but still, what if itâs worse than what everyone was expecting?Â
the thought worried her, but in all honesty, she didnât care. the woman wasnât a singer by any means; dancing was her overall best talent and the skill she always relied most on. but she had read comments of wanting something different and new besides all the dancing and what better way to show it? this week she was accompanied by heejin who arguable had one of the best voices on the show and minho who not only had a decent voice but knew how to perform with it as well. in all honesty, she had a bit of an advantage this week learning from them ( especially considering the fact that she was in no way embarrassed to ask for help ).
ě¨ě´ 콹 ë§í ę˛ ę°ě ëÂ
the concept they went with was a bit easier skill wise than what she was used to, but was definitely more on the creative side. it was performances like this that she enjoyed best - loving being able to follow along with a story and watch the talent that matched it. heejin was playing a video game and kyulkyung and minho were the characters too busy fighting for her attention, wanting to be picked so they were constantly competing with one another. it was a bit ironic given their current situation, but nonetheless it was fun to perform.
because weâve found our destiny - the two songs link up here, the two dancers pulling heejin into the game and taking her goggles and controller from her. up until this point, the other girl had been singing, contemplating her choice between minho and kyulkyung as they danced for her attention. as they tug her closer, she manages to pull the younger girl closer to her side - pushing minho out of the way and getting her to dance to bboom bboom with her.

íëëżě¸ my ë˝ë˝ë˝ë˝ë˝ my luver ë´ ë¨¸ëŚŹëśí° ëżëżÂ
ë´ ë°ëęšě§ ëżëż ëżëż ě´
the two girlsâ voices blend so well together, the soft tones complementing the song nicely as they dance together. kyulkyungâs character tries her best to make heejin forgot about minho and his stupid song because hers is so much better ( and definitely more fun ). this is the part where kyulkyungâs live vocals can finally be heard, not wanting to push it too much this week and instead relying more on prerecorded vocals for the characters - allowing heejin to take that spotlight but also giving her a chance to dance when they all come together.
ě´ ëŞ¨ë ęą´ ě°ě°ě´ ěëëęš
minho manages to sneak up on the dancing pair, coming back into the frame as he pushes kyulkyung out of the way to begin dancing with heejin. at first, kyulkyung appears shocked but she just steps to the side and watches until the other girl notices minho had taken her place. the two meet eyes, confused and bewildered before they shrug. and finally the trio begins to dance together, letting that competition die and slowly bring their performance to an end.
just feel it ëżëż ë¤ ěěě ë ëżëż ë¤ę˛ ě¤ę˛ ëżëż ëżëż ě´( ě´ëŞ

ë´ ë°ëęšě§ ëżëż ëżëż ě´
their performance ends and kyulkyung is catching her breath, smiling as always and feeling like sheâs on top of the world. the adrenaline from their routine is slowly simmering down, but all she can think about is the satisfaction of a fun performance.

MGA Season 5 ŕ¨ŕ§ Episode 5 ŕ¨ŕ§Â Trios Dancing and rapping to Fire Truck with: @rknak and @rkpwj
After working with a friend last week, she was back to working with strangers. Though that didn't have to be bad, not at all, as long as they'd get along and work well. The worst possible scenarios were getting along so well, they'd get distracted more than practise, or not getting along at all and not getting anywhere either.
Luckily, there didn't seem to be any problems in her team â the girl seemed to pick a weird mood between two or three of the two teams up though. She wasn't sure if her intuition was right there, but then she didn't care too much about what was going on, as long as it didn't involve her and the team would work well and not be distracted every ten seconds.
Choosing a song somehow seemed to get more and more difficult with each round. They'd have to find and agree on something all three of them were both comfortable with and had the skills for. Finding out however, that they were all dancers, made Chaeryeong relax. At least they could finally put a focus on that.
A few choices were thrown around â some of which she really liked but were already taken â and they eventually settled on one of her suggestions. Fire Truck was energetic and loud. A good choice for a flashy stage to get attention, but also an obnoxious option when sharing a practise room. The other team's choice wasn't exactly quiet either though and she could only hope there would be no petty taking turns in turning the music louder than the other group. She had neither time nor nerve for childish stuff like that.
Eventually they managed to divide lines and all that, so they could properly get to practising. The dance was easily burned into her brain, she just needed to make her movements precise, to perfect every little detail. And of course she had to manage her rap well, which would prove much more difficult.
In an interesting âturnâ of events, she started spending a good chunk of the time she wasn't practising with Suwoong from the other team. The both of them seemed to be a bit more chatty than the others and she thought they clicked well. It was nice to get a good distraction from the worries the show brought with it and he was fun to talk to. So fun that she felt like she knew his whole life story at the end of the week and she'd even talked quite a bit about herself. It made her realise even more than during the previous week that she needed to be around people and socialise more. So the trio teams and shared practise rooms were pretty much perfect for her.
She also enjoyed the time spent with her team, though she felt like it took a bit longer to properly connect with them. But the time they went shopping and had lunch was nice, and she felt closer to them.
Overallâeven though she came early and stayed late almost every dayâshe had a good time preparing for this performance. Sure it was tough and took a lot out of her, plus she's never trained this much for anything before, but her years of experience were surely coming in handy. She knew her limits, how much she could push them without fainting or anything of the sort and knew when she should take a break. She also made a point of not sleeping over at the practise room, but going home every night, so she could properly rest and recharge at home.
She even forgot about the cameras a lot, only making sure to wave and bow every morning and night. Sometimes during beaks, she would position herself in front of one and went through expressions for the performance, featuring both serious and comedic attempts. Another time she talked to it (though that had felt a little weird, so she didn't repeat that), asking whether they were watching the team's practise well and if they saw the good progress they made.
The girl could hardly wait for their group to be called. She sat still, her eyes scanning the many groups before them, observing their every move and studying their expressions. They were all good, really good. On one hand that was bad â it would be easier to win this, if her opponents were weaker, but on the other hand that would be boring. She wanted a challenge.
One of the performances that really stood out to her was the group performing âLove Shotâ. It was one of the options her group had considered as well, but the song was already taken. Yeji stood out to her the most. The dance was different from the original and she thought the other might have choreographed it herself. It was something she hadn't much skill in herself.
As the team before them stopped, she knew it was their turn every second now and it felt like electricity shot through her, all the way down to the tips of her fingers and toes. A smile tugged at her lips, but the girl did her best to suppress it. While strings seemed attached to her trying to pull her up to the stage, she wouldn't let herself feel too excited before the performance was over and until she knew for sure that they'd done well.
Get it lifted
They shouted together right at the beginning and she felt the excitement buzz through her veins again, a crooked smile finally pushing through. And she was glad to be starting first. She didn't want to wait any longer.
Fire truck Whatâre you looking at Mr. fireman on the floor Make a fire, Iâll cool the heat Iâll make this unhappy place even hotter When I hear the sirens, I feel
Chaeryeong moved smoothly, like she's never done anything else in her life. Her moves were exact, obviously practised again and again and again. Her rap, too, was being executed well. Her pronunciation precise, but not so that it was taking away from the flow. She'd often seen performers start off weakly from not being quite into the song yet, or whatever, hence Chaeryeong had practised the beginning extra hard. After all it carried much weightâif she messed up now, interest in the rest of the performance could be lowered, attention not undivided. If they couldn't keep interest up until the end, they shouldn't even consider being one of the top 3 performances and in the girls eyes, they should at least manage that. At the very, very least be in the top 5.
The performance passed, her dancing continuously exact and her rap, while definitely not perfect and much more difficult than the last, still surprising even herself. Her lower voice was surely a good asset in this case and she's learned a lot about rapping from the past weeks. She wasn't lucky that the progress showed, after all she'd worked hard for it, practising endless hours. It was earned.
Yeah be anywhere, everywhere Just call me Look at Look at how, just like playing with fire Bling, Iâll appear, Just Blink for me Iâll cool down your anger
With the gaze of someone who knows what they want and who's completely aware of their own skills, the girl flows through her second longer part, sliding over the floor confidently, oozing charisma. She'd practised this so often, sought out the best ways to appeal to judges and tv-audience. The girl knew what she was doing. Her body precisely placed for every step, while her rap could be improved, but her expression seemed to say âSo what? I'll improve with every step I take, never stopping. You'll see.â
The big moves and slight cockiness were quite the opposite of her usual calm and collected behaviour, and as she rapped the part, she fittingly winked at the judges.
(Ey yea yea yea yea) Hands up if you feeling the vibe now (Ey yea yea yea yea) One step two steps go
She skipped left and right, light as a feather, making it look like the moves were almost spontaneous, even when she was leaving nothing to chance that she didn't have to.
After her rebellious child-years, she'd grown to control herself as she grew older, into her teen years, she learned how to behave in a way that would get her what she wanted without being obvious about it. She learned to study diligently, to put time and effort into what she had to, pushing through without letting herself falter. Now she was glad about it more than ever.
For the remainder of the song, she continued having a few solo lines here and there and many shared ones with the two others. She always knew where they were, even if they weren't directly in her vision. She found that important, to make sure they looked like a team. So they were dancing together, rather than each doing their own thing. And the girl kept in mind that during every part she wasn't centre, she had to keep her expression up and still give it her all, or else she'd be overlooked easily.
Once they left her burst of energy left her and she felt a little dizzy. She ignored it as best as she could and smiled at Suwoong, who's team would perform afterwards. Even though she might've overdone it a little, she knew this is what she wanted to do. As often as she could. The girl couldn't imagine not standing on stage again, practically craving it like water. And there wasn't even an audience outside the judges yet, but form the dancing competitions in her past, she knew how it felt to be cheered on. And while she was confident in her skills, she really hoped to make it to the next round.

-.âŚď˝Ľď˝ĄďžMGA season 5: episode 6, outfit (lyrics + line distribution)      performing nct 127 âwhiplashâ with @rkyeji, @rkmason, @rkchaeryeong, @rkkhg
Ryujin wasnât at all surprised when she realised that the so called Golden Trio was deemed as one of the lower ranked performances, the trio was even last to be called out. The news came somewhat as expected but was just as defeating nonetheless, and honestly it made her angry when she know that two full days went to an unnecessary spectacle of a drama scene when it should have been spent on practices. At this point there is no way of knowing whether the two days would have mattered but one thing is for certain, the hiccup was unneeded and certainly avoidable if SUWOONGÂ had only just came to her instead of speculating.Â
She gets it though, thatâs not the case, when the source of the rumors was none other than a vicious snake who caused the end of the entire group Amarante. Itâs just so annoying, and so incredibly unfair, when one isnât allowed to fend for and explain themselves. Although they had managed to make amends and provided with a solid performance that they all had faith in, she canât help but wonder whether the amazingly poor start of their week had something to do with this particular outcome. It was like a slap in the face really, she thought that after what they had been through and what they had pulled off, it had been a great stage in the end.
Apparently it wasnât, and she was sad when they announced that JAEMIN had to leave. If the outcome had been different then in the end he could have joined them into the next week, but obviously with a new group, just like them. She felt so guilty knowing that, so inncredibly guilty, especially since it was him. The one person who believed in her during dark times, and he was ultimately the one and only reason why Ryujin managed to get to the bottom of the issues that she didnât know she had with SUWOONG. It wasnât fair that he had to go home but in the end, she is fully aware that talent shows like the MGAs are never fair. Ever.
-.âŚď˝Ľď˝Ąďž
It feels like Ryujin wears weights on her shoulders when she meet the new week, even if there certainly are things to be excited about. For one, she is finally grouped with YEJI, whoâs one of her best friends for some years already. It was never a goal of hers to step on stage with friends, not anyone but OLIVIA anyway, but she notice that she is eager to perform with the elder. Perhaps itâs because they have danced together multiple times before that she didnât necessarily crave this scenario before, but now that the opportunity is here she canât wait to actually perform with the other dancer. Secondly, she was picked to join the TRC group.
Anyone who knows her knows that she is in heaven right now as BigStar, Feeldog and TRC are the main reason that she wanted to step onto a stage in the first place. So to be trained by some of the idols and trainees of the very company she want to sign with, itâs a dream come true just that alone and she canât even begin to express how much it means to her. She listen to their advices carefully, and want to prove to them that she deserves to be placed in a group with a concept fitting TRC. If she can say so herself, Ryujin does believe that she can fit their image with the skillsets that she provides. She is sure of it, she has to be.
The week starts off well, in spite of the guilt and vary steps that she thread. Since SUWOONG has been telling people false truths she wonder just how many he has told, and whether those have realised that it was all a misunderstanding, whether they believed that it was all simply a misunderstanding. Well... she wouldnât necessarily call it so herself, because in her eyes it was straight up lies told by a coward who needed someone to blame. Itâs what she has agreed to however, misunderstandings, because she couldnât be bothered with making a scene out of something so small like that. She just wanted to be over with it.
MINHO invited them out on dinner so that the group could get to know each other better, and HYUNGGU suggested that they had an introductional game to break the ice. She appreciate that as it allowed her to relax sooner, to feel more comfortable around the current members of her group since ultimately she was still worried that someone believed the lies about her. That she was the cause of Amaranteâs cancellation, when she was so close to debuting. In her eyes that doesnât make sense but then again, it doesnât make sense that Jimin would jeopardize such an opportunity either and in the end, that was precisely what she did.
She smiled when HYUNGGU chatted with her during the introduction where he explained that DOYEON is someone that he used to dance with back in the days, that he used to be her sunbae and that now itâs the other way around. âReally? That must be so weird,â she chuckles under her breath and wonder how that must feel like, âbut it must also be nice to have a familiar face regardless. I know Iâm glad to have YEJI unnie by my side, it makes me feel more at ease.â As the second youngest members of the group she feels a bit small, especially since she is grouped with MINHO, who is also an ex-idol. He isnât at all how she expected him to be however, pleasantly surprised with how caring and thoughtful he is.
The coaches suggested some songs, and the group suggested some. When they landed on the choice of NCT 127â˛s Whiplash she truly understood CHAERYEONGâs worry, since the younger had already performed the groupâs songs twice already. But with the others she assured her that the feeling would be completely different, that they will not perform exactly what is expected. As they make their own choreography, as well as write their own raps, it will be something new entirely, just with the original song in the background. The song fits their image well, and it provides a proper distribution of lines along with the fact that they all get to show what they do best, which is dancing. Five dancers in one group, trying to fit TRCâs image.
It was difficult, should she be honest, since TRC isnât dance focused whatsoever, but they all managed well. YEJIÂ and HYUNGGUÂ was assigned to choreograph the new dance, with MINHO and Ryujinâs inputs. The latter two writing their own raps, and helping CHAERYEONGÂ with hers. Ultimately, it would end up with a original take on the song with some small exceptions like the bridges. With the wound from last week still fresh Ryujin felt guilty for ending up in the infirmary and thus, worked even harder this week than previously. Now, she isnât known to take breaks but she certainly worried YEJIÂ to the point where she was told to relax, multiple times.
Drink water, sit down, rest a little.
And she did, eventually, because she know better than to say no to the other female in addition to the fact that she would definitely not be of any use if sheâs sent to the infirmary again, just this time due to exhaustion instead of pure stress. During one of her breaks she decided to go out for a little walk, and to bring them all refreshments in the sorts of smoothies-- with the incredibly warm weather she found that they needed to keep themselves chilled, and energized. Bringing five different flavours she let the others pick first and though she know how to memorize lyrics, the ingredients of all five drinks went straight over her head.
-.âŚď˝Ľď˝Ąďž
Itâs strange being so close to a dream, yet so far away. The set up has changed and instead of sitting as an audience when not performing, they are now hidden behind the scenes as the audience has been replaced with an actual audience. Ryujin is thrilled, beyond excited because this will be the first time she actually perform in front of a live crowd of fans. Not necessarily hers, she is that realistic about it, but she hopes that at least some of them are there for her. She know that some people noticed her during the promotion times, when Starship released their dance practices and blogs, but she donât know whether anyone kept their interest in her.
She squeezes YEJIâs hand back before they walk onto the stage, the crowd screaming loudly because of all the hype around them. Having been assigned to open their stage she look over towards the others before she speaks with a grin, âwe are your,â and then they all speak in unison, âANTIDOTE.â It was funny, clichĂŠ and something that Ryujin wonât ever let YEJI live down because she was the one to suggest the team name. They all get in position and she is ready. During the past few performances she has had no cue because she either rapped without the music, or she spoke just as it started, but this time she has a split second cue.
ěąě°ě§ëĄ ë뼟 ꚨěě¤ My baby you are like (ë ë°ë ¤ę°) Palazzo Rocco, you are my antidote Lemon detox, right
The chorus comes up just after the intro, and itâs split between the two people in ANTIDOTE who can actually sing. She honestly envies them for their vocals, though she know that they are not by the best in the show, because she wish that she could sing as well. MINHO has the bigger rap verse almost for himself, Ryujin adlibs here and there but does not by any means try to take the spotlight as she know that she will get her own. He finishes off a self written rap verse strong as expected, having delivered his rap perfectly as expected. The chorus comes back up just like in the beginning before CHAERYEONG and Ryujin move into their parts, the former starting off with her own self written rap, Ryujin coming in every second line in the end to transition into her own verse that she has also written herself.
When they close up to YEJIâs big part of the stage she get anxious, Ryujin anticipates what the other has in store and she believe in the elder to pull off the high note because she has practiced so hard... and, she nails it, of course. She expected nothing less of her friend, and is satisfied not only for their performance but for YEJIÂ as well as she know how much it means to her to master the art of singing. It leads straight into their dance break, which Ryujin suggested could be a sort of dance battle between the guys and the girls, excluding CHAERYEONGÂ for only a short moment as her role becomes obvious soon enough, when she bring them all in to dance together again.
Ryujin feels good about the performance, like they have managed to complete it without flaws and that they could not have done anything differently. Itâs how she has felt before however, so she doesnât want to rely on such a feeling since she canât possibly know what the judges look for in particular. But she is happy with their stage, more than happy actually, and the crowd seems to be satisfied as well because they roar in response, cheering loudly, and it only makes her want to step onto the stage again, again and again.

MTL: Who in Boys Republic would most likely date a short girl?
A/N: My first Boys Republic request :) thank you so much for asking for this :)
MOST
Sungjun - he isnât that tall himself so heâd probably love having someone shorter than he is
Sunwoo/Dabin - heâs super tall himself and I can see him finding a girl much shorter than he to be really cute and heâd probably find their height quite endearing
Suwoong - similarly to Sungjun, heâd probably like a shorter girl as he is also not that tall himself
One Junn - he probably wouldnât mind any height, so short or tall I canât see him having a preference
Minsu - I can totally see him liking slightly taller girls, but once again I canât see him caring all that much
