     it was probably too much. sherlock knows his limits well enough to tell when he's surpassed them, and now is definitely one of those times. still, he can't help but beam as he wakes up with abigail leaning over him. the concern on her face doesn't register until he's already reaching up, one finger extended. he presses it gently against the tip of her nose as he realizes he's in a bathtub, but that doesn't deter him. it must be abigail's; baker street only has showers.

     this is as defeated as will gets. all he wanted was a nice day out, but his father and uncle refused to get along. how it had been over twenty years and they were still at each other’s throats, he didn’t know. it made a lot of sense now why abigail refused to come with them.

     he hasn't entered the office yet, just poked his head in the doorway. interrupting either of his parent's work is usually met with less than their full attention, but this matter is urgent. girls aren't his strong suit. he had already asked sherlock; that was no help. his father was as clueless as he was despite being married for over twenty years now. and asking ellie was out of the question; going to his little sister for advice on girls would be far too embarrassing for will.
