After months of full-hearted efforts and research full off devotion, I hereby announce the completion of my first-ever invention:
The Artificial Gravity Generator
Creating an artificial gravity generator, as seen in science fiction, is a complex and theoretical concept that current technology and physics have not yet achieved. The idea is to simulate the effects of gravity in environments like spacecraft, space stations, or potentially even on other planets.
The concept of artificial gravity has been a longstanding goal in the field of space exploration and technology. As humans venture further into space, the challenges posed by microgravity environments become increasingly significant. These challenges affect not only the health and well-being of astronauts but also the long-term sustainability of space missions. Artificial gravity generators represent a potential solution to these challenges, offering a way to simulate Earth-like gravity in space.
I am pleased to announce my newest, dearest piece of tech with a whole potential and completely functional unit of working.
I have also, signed a Patent Claim with regard to this new invention of mine and am pleased to make it a private idea, feasible and available only on agreement basis and make it a limited source.

figured i’d give this Creature of mine an intro post— this is my character for a sci-fi ttrpg campaign i’m in! it doesn’t have a name, but most call it “the entity.” it also has a larger form it can transform into, but i haven’t finalized the design for that yet.

the entity’s usual appearance isn’t actually its true form— it was originally a giant creature that lived on a now-dormant planet. back when the planet teemed with life, rumors circulated about strange sightings in the wilderness: landmasses that appeared out of nowhere or seemed to move when one wasn’t looking. some even reported a pair of glowing eyes emerging from the face of cliffs, only to disappear in an instant. these reports were dismissed as urban legends as the entity kept its existence a secret, knowing that the corporations running the world would jump to exploit it if it were found.
for some time after civilization expanded into space, and life faded from the planet, the entity was able to sustain its existence by feeding off of abandoned reactor cores. but this solution was temporary—as the final power source began to fade, it became clear that the entity needed another solution. so it formed a psychic link with pieces of its surroundings—plant matter, rocks, even corpses—and created a new body, one that could move more freely and explore beyond the confines of the planet. its consciousness now resides within this body, but it still can sense the vital signs of its original form. to this day, the entity continues to hide its true identity, even while searching for a new way to ensure its survival…

Serbian activists arrested after mass protest against lithium mining
A mass protest against lithium mining ended with the arrests and sentences of three environmental activists, Ivan Bjelić, Nikola Ristić, and Jevđenije Julijan Dimitrijević.
Bjelić was sentenced to a 40-day detention, while Ristić and Dimitrijević received a 30-day arrest for “disturbing public order and peace,” according to the first instance judgement, which legal experts called “draconian.”
The activists were arrested in the early hours of 11 August at one of the two Belgrade railway stations blocked by protesters. Thy were convicted, however, not for blocking the railway, but for disrupting public order by verbally abusing a journalist from pro-government Informer television who was reporting on the scene, according to local media.
The Higher Public Prosecutors Office in Belgrade announced on 11 August that all those who blocked the railway would be prosecuted. Lawyer Rodoljub Šabić, former Public Information Commissioner of Serbia, called the sanctions “draconian” and an intimidation attempt. The lawyer of the arrested activists Marko Pantić stated:
It is alleged that they obstructed the journalist’s work, surrounded her and shouted. In our opinion, this action must be concretised. What did they shout, where did they surround her, how did they disturb her? If they shouted ‘child poisoning’, it was not directed at that journalist personally. I believe that no one thinks that the journalist poisons children, but that it refers to the Jadar project and the whole story for which the protests were organised.
Railway blockade
The blockade of railway stations lasted several hours and ended after police intervened. Interior Minister Ivica Dačić said on Sunday that the police acted without using coercive measures and that no one was hurt. President Aleksandar Vučić declared:
The blockades and protests are not the solution. I will talk to the people about the fear of lithium mining and with those who think differently.
Zlatko Kokanović, an environmental activist and one of the organisers of protests against lithium mining, said that environmental organisations would not give up their demands for a ban on lithium mining in Serbia.
We want to send a message, you can arrest us, but we continue, we are not afraid, we are heading towards victory, to the end.
Prior to the railway blockade, some 30,000 people took to the streets of Belgrade on Saturday night to protest against the re-announcement of the opening of the lithium mine of the international company Rio Tinto in the Jadar River valley in the west of the country.
The protest was organised by the Association of Environmental Organisations of Serbia. Speakers claimed that they would not allow the mine to open due to concerns that the lithium mine would pollute water sources and seriously jeopardise public health.
Lithium for EU electric vehicles
A series of protests began following the Serbian government’s decision in mid-July to continue a project to open a lithium mine in the Jadar Valley, which was halted by state authorities in 2022 also due to large-scale protests.
On 19 July, the Critical Raw Material Summit was held in Belgrade. The meeting was attended by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, European Commission Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, and President Vučić. It concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the EU and Serbia on sustainable raw materials, battery value chains, and electric vehicles (EVs).
The EU has been expressing interest in Serbian lithium reserves in the context of reducing dependence on the critical raw material and transitioning to a green economy. Germany also showed appetite in recent years, with lithium batteries being a key element in the production of EVs.
According to the Rio Tinto plan, the Jadar project will produce around 58,000 tonnes of lithium per year, enough for 17% of Europe’s EV production. According to recent statements by the Serbian authorities, led by the Serbian Progressive Party, the mine will open in 2028 if the company complies with environmental regulations and obtains the necessary permits.
In recent years, many experts and environmental associations in Serbia have argued that lithium mining could have serious negative consequences for the environment. Widespread mistrust in Serbia’s state institutions, which would be responsible for enforcing environmental standards, has also been emphasised.

          Will lowered his gaze,  feeling adequately chided and embarrassed.  Nightmares were nothing new to him,  he’d had them ever since he was a child.  It was a common occurrence to wake up trembling with a scream lodged in his throat and horrors behind his eyelids.  But waking up and finding himself not where he had gone to sleep was a newer experience.  This time had found him standing in the middle of the road,  a police officer shining a flashlight in his eyes.           He watched her work,  feeling oddly disconnected from the scrapes that covered his hands and arms.  Numbly he noticed that he must have walked through the woods at some point before ending up on the road.  Laying at his feet Winston yawned,  the poor dog had followed Will for the hours he had wandered.  Guilt at that twisted in his chest.   “I don’t feel very lucky.”   he mumbled,  mostly to himself.           “Sometimes the huntsman is there to carve out your lungs and liver.”   His eyes then shot back up,  more alert.  The last thing he needed was to be poked and prodded by another doctor,  and for word of his sleepwalking to somehow get back to Jack.   “I’m already seeing a doctor.”   he said,  pointedly leaving out that it was a psychiatrist and not a sleep specialist.

Tossing the gauze and cotton swabs she'd used on his scratches into the trash, she set about gathering up some bandaids, gauze, and antibiotic ointment, placing them on the table beside him. "Is that doctor already on file with the hospital?" She wasn't going to tell him that she was going to check and make sure that whomever he was seeing was capable of providing the specialized care he needed, but that was certainly her intention. "I'll make sure that the lab results and reports from today get sent over before I head home tonight. I'll include some paperwork for the specialist in your take home paperwork as well, in case you need a referral for further care."
"Have you been experiencing more stress or duress than usual, lately?" Emotional or psychological stress was usually an underlying cause of sleepwalking, especially to these extremes, but there were times when it was the manifestation of a physical ailment and she wanted to rule out what she could.
