Embrace the Comfort: Oversized Fuzzy Fleece Jackets for Ultimate Cozy-Chic Style
As the air turns crisp and the leaves begin to fall, one thing is clear: it’s fleece jacket season! This year, oversized fuzzy fleece jackets are the go-to wardrobe staple for anyone looking to stay warm and stylish. These cozy outerwear pieces are a perfect blend of comfort, practicality, and on-trend fashion, making them a must-have for the cooler months.
The Appeal of Oversized Fleece Jackets
Tumblr media
Oversized Fuzzy Fleece Jacket on Amazon
There’s something irresistible about the feel of fleece—soft, warm, and lightweight, it’s perfect for layering without the bulk. What’s more, the oversized silhouette gives you that effortlessly cool, laid-back vibe that pairs well with just about any outfit. Here’s why you should consider adding an oversized fuzzy fleece jacket to your collection:
All-Day Comfort: The oversized fit offers room to breathe and move, allowing you to layer as needed without feeling restricted. It's like wrapping yourself in a plush blanket while still looking put-together.
Effortless Style: Whether you’re running errands, heading out for brunch, or just chilling at home, these jackets add an instant touch of cozy-chic to your look. You can throw one over leggings, jeans, or even a dress and still look polished.
Texture Play: The fuzzy, textured finish adds visual interest to your outfit, making it the perfect statement piece to elevate even the simplest basics.
How to Style Your Fleece Jacket
Styling oversized fleece jackets is easier than you think. They’re incredibly versatile, and the trick is to play with proportions and textures for a balanced look. Here are a few ideas:
Casual and Cozy: Pair a neutral-toned fleece jacket with leggings and ankle boots for an easy, off-duty look. Add a beanie and scarf for extra warmth.
Urban Street Style: For a more urban vibe, style your oversized jacket with ripped jeans, a graphic tee, and chunky sneakers. Opt for a bold color fleece to add a pop of fun to your outfit.
Feminine Touch: You can also add a feminine twist by wearing your fleece jacket over a flowy dress. Cinch it at the waist with a belt to create some definition and complete the look with knee-high boots.
Best Colors and Patterns for Fleece Jackets
While neutral shades like beige, cream, and gray are timeless options, this season’s fleece jackets also come in vibrant colors and fun patterns. Consider these trending hues:
Classic Neutrals: For an easy, everyday look that pairs with anything, stick to tones like taupe, camel, or ivory. These shades add an understated elegance to the cozy texture.
Bold Pops of Color: Want to stand out? Go for jewel tones like emerald, burgundy, or cobalt blue. These rich colors add a dynamic touch to your outerwear collection.
Fun Prints: If you’re looking to make a statement, opt for a fleece jacket in a playful pattern—think animal prints, plaids, or even abstract designs.
Sustainability and Fleece
As fashion becomes increasingly eco-conscious, many brands are offering fleece jackets made from recycled materials, like plastic bottles. These sustainable options not only keep you warm but also reduce your environmental impact. When shopping for your next oversized fuzzy fleece jacket, look for brands that prioritize sustainability to make your purchase feel even better.

I wanna steal Simon’s grey fleece jacket. I bet it’s super warm and comfortable, perfect to take a nap with.
You like Simon's jacket so much, wear it just about every time you can, that he buys another one just for you.
Yet you still continue to wear his.
And then he starts wearing the new jacket but you take to wearing that one too. Simon just rolls his eyes because if it isn't his hoodies, those grizzly bear paw slippers you bought him because they "matched his aesthetic" (whatever the hell that means but he can at least admit they were comfortable enough to wear while he was recovering from injuries sustained during his last deployment), or his boxers, it's his jackets.
At this point, he might as well share his entire wardrobe with you.

i want to ask, what is with lambs bell? While in coult grounds it's normal bell but during crusade it becomes this red ring
Also i noticed lamb grows second pair of horns on occasion
Tumblr media
for the horns, it is a reflection of their appearance in the After & the Eldritch appearance.
Tumblr media
** new bell gained from valentines day comic, beforehand the Heretic fleece had no charm. The bell simply changes shape to reflect the charm of each fleece. It's why any damage sustained to the charm, is sustained to the bell and continues over.

*drags myself out of thesis hell for five minutes*
My sis got me a drop spindle for my birthday and it finally arrived!!
Tumblr media
(from Peter Locke, via wolle-online.com)
I've been keeping an eye on his stock for a couple months because I was technically on the lookout for a dealgan, but then he put this stunner up for sale and, believe it or not, I did not have a single top-whorl spindle yet and I'm a huge sucker for a nice piece of walnut wood, so on the list it went.
It's gorgeous! Medium-weight, fast as shit because heavy wood = smallish whorl, but it spins so dang well, and the craftsmanship is just *chef's kiss*
This thing's also a Fascinating counterpoint to my bottom-whorl spindle (Handspindelhaus, via das-wollschaf; much wider whorl, slower and much more sustained spin, sturdy and utilitarian) and the cross-arm ones (from Scott Snyder; slow and a bit sluggish to get going but they'll spin pretty much as long as you let them without being heavy at all), and I'm very excited about that. Variety!! Variety for Guardy's spinning toolkit!!
... and I'm sure I'll get around to getting a dealgan one day, too. Maybe.
(the fiber's just Random Mystery Wool from a scraps bag I got a while ago. Doesn't feel like anything I've worked with lately; about 5 inch staple lenth, kinda coarse but more hard than scratchy. Not "sticky", really easy to spin, slightly shiny. Based on what the shop stocks and cross-refering with the fleece and fiber sourcebook, my best guess is Finn sheep, but I never had a known sample of that, so, yknow)

TDF DAYS 5 & 6 (July 3 & 4)
On day 5 I combed and spun some of the Jacob lambswool.
I didn't take a picture of it in progress apparently, but I did take some notes.
This lambswool has a lot of dandruff and potentially a little scurf. I'm not very familiar with scurf but there were a few sections where the flakes were much bigger, ragged, and more tenacious than the rest. Sounds like scurf to me. The combs were able to remove the majority of it, but I think it might need an extra pass or two to get fully clean. Otherwise, it was very pleasant and felt both strong and soft.
On day 6 I carded a rolag from the same fleece and spun that.
Tumblr media
It was a very pretty rolag.
The carded wool caused more problems with scurf, if that is what it was. The cards didn't remove them and also left a fair amount of vm in.
With this fiber, it kind of needs to be spun finely because of the dandruff already--it will only come out as you draft it finely. So the vm doesn't matter that much, because those largely fall out at the same time.
I spun today's batch on the wheel, which was probably too much for me given how much my knees hurt lol. I also wasn't really able to add enough twist because I struggle so much with treadling. It only got enough twist right at the end when I was desperate to finish it and started treadling as hard as I could. I definitely couldn't sustain that though. I think I might need a flyer with a smaller whorl so I can get drive ratio to work in my favor. Augh. Anyway:
Tumblr media
Look at them ! I love them, this fleece is going to make such nice yarn. I'd love to do a sweater tbh. And a shawl. And maybe a hat. Its so soft.
Comparisons between the two: the combed wool has much more twist, maybe slightly overtwisted but still next to skin soft. Very beautiful and crisp looking. Also much much more dense. More even.
Tumblr media
(These pics are post steam blocking btw.) The carded wool is very undertwisted. I will need to do another test on supported spindles to get it right, I think. But even so, it's a beautiful yarn. Very very soft, and I love the barberpoling. Much more slubby. Much more fuzzy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, that's another good set of tests. I've been jumping from fleece to fleece a lot and will probably keep doing so... so I may come back to the supported spin later. We'll see.

Art Dump for my upcoming fic! Obviously, it’s inspired by the awesome work of Ethel Cain. Excluding the art with the title, these are things that Severus made.
I just thought mimicking the Inbred cover was fun.
TW: Gore, Heavy themes, Self-Harm
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Poem Reads:
Slay the serpent-tongued lamb.
Detestable to those “offering” guidance.
Detestable to the Divine.
Shear your wool to warm my skin. Allow me to devour your flesh to sustain my own.
The black lamb is desperate to understand the appetite for his flesh, fleece, and bone.
Detestable. Detestable. Detestable.

This the loudest bunch of nothing ive ever seen from a 44 ‘lifestyle capsule’ . Awful work
Usually these u can tell where designer & ambassador meet halfway and brother I don’t think they went pass ig explore pages 😑 Wearable ski luxury wid denim and tweed and neon backpacks wid ripped off foootwear elements covered in Dior branding . ((Lemme go IN on that for a sec))
I fw the maroon chunky type sneakers of this Dior capsule, clear nod to LV past beasts (ripiss) , but obvi between the buffalo vintage in glitter maroon ((right)) Im not getting no chunky blood money sneakers lmfao ‼️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other footwear inc in this capsule literally just Nike air max tn plus wid some smudged shit in the sole so not sure what it’s doing being sold at DIOR????
Tumblr media Tumblr media
((Left is Lewis’ capsule wid Kim jones, 2024, right is 25th anniversary of Nike air max plus)) 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Lewis spoke of sustainability as a main source of inspiration for this collab, and made a big push to source fabrics from Africa, no leather, wid Burkina Faso.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the life of me 🔬🔬🔬🔬🔬 I cannot c Burkina Faso/african sustainability in these looks . Not sure wht this capsule hopes to represent for the next gens of artisans in Africa, if it’s not even fucking being sourced sustainably in the 1st place. But surely a LUXURY French ready-to-wear capsule streetwear ski collection wid fleece and tweed is already representing the best of African artisans and garments wid their $60 handbags made in china. (???????????????)
Or not

A couple of days ago, I was collecting seeds from the milkweed pods in our yard. Having not done this before, but being fully aware of the fuzzy stuff that flies out of the pods, I was battling fuzz (technically, "floss") as I was pulling off and storing the seeds. Then I got smart, and decided to cut a slit in the pods and then gently pull out the mass of floss and seeds, and then just pulling the seeds off and dropping then into the container. As I was doing that, I noticed how super soft the floss was as I pulled it fresh out of the pods, and wondered........do any clothing manufacturers use this stuff? Did a Google search, and learned....yep!
Excerpt from this story from Happy Eco News:
As consumers demand more eco-conscious apparel, brands are getting creative with natural materials that keep warmth in and environmental harm out. One unlikely hero emerging from prickly planted fields is the common milkweed—yes, literally plucked straight from the wild. While best known as the sole food source for iconic, struggling Monarch butterflies, milkweed’s hidden potential is nestled right inside its fluffy, silken floss. This fleecy fiber is an amazing natural insulator and is finding a new application in jackets, parkas, boots, and ski gloves for humans.
As outdoor apparel companies race to reduce environmental impacts, milkweed clothing insulation is proving a promising substitute for conventional insulation fillers—one aligned with cleaner agricultural systems. Its hollow-cored fluff offers an animal-friendly, biodegradable alternative to goose down. Unlike petroleum-based synthetics like polyester fibers, milkweed fills garments with a regeneratively sourced material that decomposes rather than lingering for centuries in landfills.
With conscious consumerism accelerating across industries, apparel buyers now consider impacts far beyond cost and quality when evaluating purchases. An unlikely hero from both suffering North American grasslands and climate crosshairs is rapidly gaining traction as a sustainable insulation material – common milkweed floss. Beyond keeping heat in and winter out with insulating performance rivaling goose down, milkweed rates exceptionally on multiple sustainability indicators resonant with eco-conscious consumers.
As a native perennial thriving on marginal lands, milkweed flourishing requires no irrigation, fertilizers or pesticides – regrowing reliably year after year. From a toxicity and allergen standpoint, milkweed avoids issues associated with many synthetic insulations or down. And supporting milkweed crop expansion helps reverse monarch butterfly declines blamed on agricultural habitat loss. For shoppers concerned over microplastics shedding into waterways from standard fleece, milkweed offers a soft, homegrown, biodegradable alternative. In short, milkweed checks all the boxes for socially mindful consumers seeking future-focused apparel that balances functionality with ethical, regenerative supply supporting threatened pollinators.
Signaling the momentum of milkweed clothing insulation, major brands like Patagonia are incorporating the fluff through novel partnerships with companies like Vegeto Textiles. Dedicated milkweed plantings bandwidth habitat zones while fibers make their way into garments. Other types of textile manufacturers are also jumping on board, some with announced plans to insulate blankets and quilts with milkweed.
Still, despite its promise, milkweed clothing insulation remains in its infancy. Technological barriers to processing millions of floss strands into a stable textile filling have just recently been worked out. Machinery and techniques to update this long-known application concept into a scalable commercial reality. Companies have worked for years honing best practices for taking raw milkweed fluff through cleaning, drying, and fiber alignment steps to transform fuzzy floss into outdoor-ready filling. Advancements in the coming decade will further improve integration potential across diverse textile products, opening doors for milkweed clothing insulation in everything from t-shirts to winter boots.

the post i reblogged about fast fashion just reminded me that
a) i have had my raincoat since 2016
b) my raincoat is significantly past its best in ways that cannot be solved with additional waterproofing spray, and also doesn't fit me very well anymore
c) my winter coat, while reasonably warm, is not waterproof, and also doesn't fit very well in a completely different way, and is black which is not good when you are a cycle commuter cos they can't see you
d) all of these combine to mean i keep looking covetously at waterproof insulated coats in tesco even though they are definitely unsustainably produced and also not that good bc that's where my substandard winter coat is from
concluded i should thoughtfully invest in a new, warmer raincoat before i get tempted into buying another shit coat or spend the whole winter cold and wet
went to passenger bc i bought a fleece and trousers from them a few months back and have basically not worn anything else all summer (and thy seem to have reasonably good sustainability credentials, as far as is possible with mostly-synthetic outdoor clothing). found an insulated raincoat in their outlet section discounted 60% to make it almost affordable. and it's partially ORANGE
remembered my rucksack also sucks because it's too small, black, and not waterproof (and doesn't have side pockets for my cane or my water bottle), and my old one that was not too small or black but also not waterproof has well and truly fallen apart after serving me faithfully since i was about 16. well, since i'm here... oh look they have a rucksack in the outlet section as well. AND IT'S ORANGE
god i love it when i can get things that are orange
anyway that's my clothing/accessory purchases for the rest of the year. i hope they're good.

IV THE EMPEROR
The Emperor is a card of leadership and power. He is an authoritative force who has been through many experiences to achieve this status. He represents structure and solidity, and reminds you that you, too, hold immense amounts of power over your own life, and what happens to it.
Benson received the crown after The One Who Waits expressed how poor of a job Violet was doing at actually running the cult. Sure, she expanded it a lot since she received the crown, but they are kept high as a cloud and dangerously dependent on her at almost all times, not to mention the sickness that using menticide causes. Someone needed to bring some structure to this mess post haste.
Benson is a large black rhino on the taller side. Though strong, at a first glance you might assume he is just fat, but that's actually quite the healthy weight for a rhino his size. He has feline like sensitive hearing.
Benson was selected seemingly out of the blue, being one of the last followers to join the cult, so the preparations for the crown transfer were rushed. Luckily, the other followers were so damn high that they didn't care about it. At this time, The One Who Waits had learned how to summon his vessels to his realm, so Violet was the first one to join in the crown transfer. To cross, Beson partook of the same chalice Violet once did.
Once the crown was transferred and both were back in the land of the living, the rhino wasted no time in putting order in the cult, restructuring it to be self sustaining and cutting the use of menticide. If he was hired for the job, he will do his goddamn job. Violet remained as his advisor and enforcer in the cult (and eventual wife), sharing her century of experience "running" a cult (though her financial and resource advices were very helpful).
He also made sure to not let the Bishops get too comfortable, running crusades to steal resources, kill cultists, recruit follower and eliminate a disciple or two. After a century in command, he made the cult into a well oiled machine, ready for the next vessel to take over. At that point, he knew it was time to put the crown down and retire for a less stressful life, so he had prepared his replacement in advance, a particularly devoted owl named Baines who was born into the cult. Once the crown was no longer his, he and his wife departed to a secluded cabin around Pilgrim's Passage, where they receive the visit of the occasional vessel seeking guidance. They live there to this day.
Benson's favored weapon is the sword, though one hidden within a scepter, which is also how the crown looked like most of the time too, as he felt he should not don the crown of his god. His fleece looked like a cape that was fastened to his armor.

Real meditation is a dirty thing. It is a dirty thing because it needs you to plunge directly into the dirt and filth of your daily life. Artificial meditation of the one-hour type is a very clean thing.
Having spent the entire day in the—pardon me the usage—gutter of common life, we come back to the one clean holy place that we have artificially reserved for meditation, take a shower, use some incense, play some mystical music, and sit down to bathe in the divine. What nonsense!
Real meditation will be tricky, dirty, and quite hurtful. It involves seeing things for what they really are. It involves acknowledging your own face.
Real meditation is about showing a mirror to yourself.
False meditation of the kind that is very popular is all about putting up the most artificial, the most made-up, and the holiest face possible. Look at people when they are meditating. Is that them? Seriously? Look at people when they are strutting around with their yoga mats, and sitting in this āsana or that āsana. Is that them?
Returning from his yoga class, he seriously relishes a piece of chicken leg. In fact, the chicken feels even more delicious after the yoga class! Having meditated, he immediately sets off for his shop—and he is a champion black-marketer. And meditation helps him in staying calm and quiet while he is fleecing the entire world.
What kind of meditation is this? This is meditation just to sustain the ego, right?
Real meditation is dangerous. Therefore, real meditation is neither practiced nor taught. And obviously, it cannot sell.
Real meditation is a daylong, lifelong activity. It is a love affair. You cannot be a lover one hour a day, or can you be? But you can be a customer of flesh one hour a day.

i treated myself to ordering a pretty pricey pair of trousers from an environmentally-friendly outdoor wear company, bc i've been looking for a pair of trousers with like, big side pockets like cargo trousers (for wheelchair purposes -- i want pockets i can access without getting up) but slimline enough that i can cycle in them on non-chair days, and with a comfy waistband situation, in a length and size that works for me as someone who is five foot four with short legs. this is not easy: i can only find those kinds of pockets in men's trousers mostly but only in brands that don't go small enough for me and often with horrible stiff fabric and chunky waistbands that don't suit a wheelchair very well
but these look like the holy grail. they have elasticated cuffs so the legs wouldn't get caught in my bike chain. they've got an elasticated waist too. big side pockets like cargo trousers. organic cotton but like, designed for doing outdoor activities so hopefully soft enough to be comfy but tough enough to last? from a company that my (better informed) sister tells me has good environmental credentials and which puts a big emphasis on sustainability
we will see. they were like. seventy quid. which is roughly twice what i've ever spent on trousers before but i'm trying to buy fewer cheap shitty clothes that need replacing five minutes later and were never really what i wanted in the first place, and instead invest in things that are actually what i want and are decent quality so they'll last. that's not easy but i'm hoping these are that, and i was ordering a fleece from their sale at the same time so i figured maybe i should treat myself. i have so many bad trousers in my life i need some good ones
and now i am very much in "pakige???" mode even though i only ordered them today. where are my trousers. i need to know if they fit. i need to put things in the big pockets
