You don't like Asmo? You don't like pretty, flirty boy who pampers you? Who tells you what you need to hear to feel better about yourself, and he means every word? Who knows exactly what he's doing romantically and sexually and caters it all to your desires because he thrives on your pleasure? Who loves you because you see him for who he truly is and not just because of his pretty face and his charm? You don't like that Asmo?

one thing that I will criticize about Mikasa's character is that she doesn't understand Eren's (and Armin's) dream at all. The only insight we're offered into Mikasa's perspective of their dream is that she doesn't understand it and doesn't know what they're going on about. Like?? She doesn't get Eren's basic motivations?? Unless I completely missed something, Mikasa doesn't know that Eren wanted to explore an unoccupied world with Armin or that he desires 'freedom'. Which again, are Eren's base-level motivations. And she just. Isn't allowed to know??

This is an example of a Basic Temperament Rating (or, BTR). My boss regularly uses them to survey the employees' morale.

Originally I was amused at Greg Vader being more morally consistent and effective than Joe BCF but it is infinitely funnier how Pilot, a literal non sentient sexy chatbot, disagrees with Greg more often than Survey, a magical big brother sentient sapient AI who factually knows more than Joe, does with Joe. That being like, two times.
YMMV but I honestly liked Pilot far more than Survey, and arguably….not to speak on Author intent but it definitely feels like BCF was read and greatly disliked.

i got a survey to fill out about my experience of antisemitism on my university campus and while i'm cool with sharing my opinion for data purposes (the results are all anonymized anyway) i wish there had been a field somewhere to clarify that my university has a vanishingly small jewish population (could probably be counted in the low teens, if even that high, in the entire university), absolutely zero jewish life on campus like hillel or chabad or even an interfaith club, and is, in terms of social/political climate, very out of the ordinary when it comes to the majority of american schools

The original plan was to ask your first fictional love and then ask you to choose between him and Bakugo
I think it’s safe to say my plans have changed but in the best possible way

If you want to talk about the way people erase characters’ main traits in service in shipping (I call it paper doll syndrome) for your video essay I would be DELIGHTED to help you come up with ideas/write a script or whatever I love making videos and this topic is so interesting to me
that would be so awesome! paper doll syndrome is such an apt name for it and it really is a fascinating (and frustrating) fandom phenomen
fair warning though, im specifically focusing on the owl house fandlom/shipping stuff mainly because ive been in the fandom for a long time and have watched the fandom change over the years. but this kind of thing definitely isn't exclusive to owl house it's a very common fandom phenomen so most of my points can apply to fandom in general. ive never made a video essay or anything but ive been thinking about this for months so i figured i would give it a try. currently im just collecting evidence rn but i would love to chat if ur offering!

theres something extremely powerful in studying your local history and ive said that before but also its extra intense when you keep running into a guy who 250 years ago was the same age you are now and was working in the field your degree is in and you're just looking up maps of the city for research unrelated to him, and your search gets you an unbelievably beautiful and detailed map he drew of this city you both share across time.
