Oh my god, you guys!!! 😍 The Surrender paperback is going to be on the shelves at the Austin Public Library soon!

This was my first 🌟BIG🌟 goal for my debut novel, and I can't believe it's happening! When I saw this pop up, I actually got teary. 😭 This is a library nerd's dream come true. 🤓

Now I'm just biding my time until they reopen the call for local author consignments for the bookstore at Central... I'm patient, I'll be good... I'm not hopping from foot to foot and wiggling with excitement, I swear 😂

Weird stuff happens when you Google your ISBN...

I found out yesterday that Surrender is listed on Barnes & Noble's website, and my local Austin store BookPeople... but what really bakes my noodle is that today, I googled just the ISBN and I popped up on... well, Walmart, but also!!! ...

Bibsent.no, which is the centralized supplier for public libraries in Norway.

Is that cool or what?!!?

You can pre-order it on Amazon if you're so inclined, but if you would like to pre-order a signed copy -OR- if you would like to order a signed bookplate to paste into your own copy, please head on over to my Etsy storefront!

I will happily ship a signed paperback or a signed bookplate anywhere in the world that I can, but if you are not located in Texas, it's probably more cost-friendly to order the signed bookplate and order your print-on-demand paperback closer to home.

"Surrender" by Anisa Larkwood

Tara French is accustomed to chaos. She's been in and out of trouble her whole life, she danced in strip clubs for years, and now she's on the run with $800,000 that she stole from her mobster ex-boyfriend. Tara knows she can't stay in one spot for too long, but she's tired and lonely after months on the road. When she sees the opportunity for an anonymous tryst with a handsome stranger in a bar bathroom, it's too tempting to resist.

David Price is always in control. His work as an intelligence agent, his moonlighting as a hired assassin, and his bland cover life in suburbia are planned down to the smallest detail. But when he hooks up with Tara she pushes a button he thought he kept hidden, and David's submissive side comes out. He enjoys letting Tara take control during their brief encounter, and they part ways thinking that's the last they'll see of each other.

When Tara leaves the bar, a man sent by her ex-boyfriend attacks her, and David saves her life. David hides Tara at a safe house while they figure out a plan, but Tara senses that David isn't telling her the whole truth about who he is. When confronting him directly doesn't work, she ties him up and teases him to break through his defenses.

Will David be able to fully surrender to Tara, or will his need to stay in control put her life in danger?
