Artur was no stranger to the sands, but.. he’d never seen a place quite like this.  Rusalka seemed like the perfect place for those seeking spiritual healing, or at the very least, a calm and giving life in a picturesque town. It was everything he could possibly ask for. At least, everything he could ask for until someone else came into the picture. someone he hadn’t seen in quite a while. calm brown eyes met vibrant blue ones, as Artur turned to face Eirika, a smile on his face as he saw his old friend. “Oh, Lady Eirika! It’s truly a pleasure to see you again! I’m doing my best to cope in this heat, and thankfully, I haven’t burnt up quite yet! haha.” Artur had also caught wind of the local activity here, and was actually just about to ask Eirika the same thing! Inbetween this and his recent jaunt with Colm, Artur really was starting to get into better physical shape by the day, so this’d be all sorts of fun. “Of course! surfing seems like itll be quite fun, so I’d be glad to join you in this excursion. I have also been growing more agile these days, so I’m sure I’ll be able to keep my balance a lot better than I used to. Plus it’ll be a great way for us to catch up, considering it has been quite a while since we last saw each other.”
surf's up 2: wave mania
Rusalka is an idyllic territory by the coast. It’s easy to see why anyone would be captivated by the sun, the sea breeze, and the high, rocky cliffs overlooking the shimmering ocean. The people in the port city seem friendly enough, but few seem to recall seeing any knights around lately. This is the biggest city in the area though, so someone is bound to come through at some point. With the shopping and the weather as good as it is, no time like the present to have a little vacation while you wait for leads then, right? Beach day! Maybe even try your hand at what the locals call “surfing.” [Grants Riding +1]
Sunlight sparkles upon the waves, which lap against the pure white sands so reminiscent of Jehanna's dunes. Eirika stretches her back, a feline grin on her face as she basks in the warmth of Rusalka's sunshine. It's a beautiful day, the picturesque shoreline and aquamarine sea and sky are almost enough to make one forget all their troubles. To believe, for just a little while, that life really could be so gentle and kind.
That they aren't supposed to be investigating a disappearance.
Still, the midsummer heat is relentless. Eirika takes careful, measured sips of water as she approaches the wave, taking in the bloom of fleur de sel that came with each sea spray. Such an idyllic scene leaves behind a dull ache of loneliness. It would be a shame, to enjoy a day like this alone. To keep such wonderful treasure to herself. Thankfully, Eirika spots a familiar face, not too far away, framed by thick copper curls.
"Artur! It's wonderful to see you!" Eirika calls out, skipping across the soft, warm sand. Skidding to stop, she grins brightly. "It's a lovely day. I do hope you're keeping well in this heat though." Looking around the beach, she's struck with an idea.
"Care to try out 'surfing' with me? It looks like the locals find it great fun."

Krieg’s Backstory: based on tips/missions/canon quotes
“Alright, y’all. Since This Post (by @necromorph-slayinglovemachine) is making some rounds, stating Krieg’s inner voice quote [ Where is she? Is she still alive? Did she get away?] refers to Dr. Samuels, the woman responsible for slag experimentations at the Exploitation Preserve, and I’m just gonna say: Yes, I agree. So, let’s explore that, and therefore the very possible option that Krieg became what he is at the Preserve, going through Quotes and game events.
Tumblr media
In the DLC Sir Hammerlock vs the Son of Crawmerax has a optional mission called Victims of Vault Hunters, in which Sparky, the son of Captain Flynt, hires assassins to kills the Vault Hunters as a revenge plan. Each assassin is related to who the Vault Hunters are and whatever happened to them before Pandora or got them in the planet.
Here is Krieg’s assassin description: “At this point, Sparky’s hopes for victory have been dashed, but he reluctantly introduces Clements, a Hyperion scientist who wants Krieg.”
Sparky also says:  “Next guy, who's probably frigging dead already, is a Hyperion scientist named Clements. He wants Krieg cause you killed some dudes when you escaped or something. I don't even care at this point.”
Krieg’s assassin in a scientist, and it’s not clear wheter he plans on retrieving or killing the psycho. But, Clements is pointed as a Hyperion scientist, tying Krieg’s relation to Hyperion was one that has to do with science/research. The word escape also makes it clear he was a prisioner of Hyperion at some point, and the Hyperion facility we are aware that both holds prisioners and conducts experiments is the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. (We’ll come back to this mission).
What works most about this assumption is Krieg’s very nature, design and skills: He is a borderlands psycho, bandits made crazy by experimentations. Badass pyschos themselves are a result of slag mutation, as Jack’s voiceover at the Preserve states:
“This is Handsome Jack, thanking you, loyal test subject, for helping bring Pandora into the future. The experiments you’ll be put through will help us uncover new uses for Eridium, new cures for medicine, and…why are you having me read this crap? They know we’re gonna mutate the hell out of them, why lie to - (static) “
This voiceline is furthered reinforced by a loader present at the preserve, made to greet the “volunteers” (subjects) that arrive there. Its quotes that prove slag, pyschos and mutations are all tied:
“Eridium injections may cause side effects such as gigantism, insanity, and excess limb syndrome.” All things seen both in psychos and rats - a name that could allude to them being lab rats.
“Thank you for open quotes volunteering closed quotes as a test subject at Hyperion Preserve. Do not attempt to leave the grounds.” Stating that people are capture to be subjected to slag experimentation.
“Do NOT touch the Eridium vats unless you have alerted a Hyperion technician first, preferably one with a camera.” Just furthering on that.
Krieg’s Mania Skill Tree also ends up with him assuming a badass pyscho form, confirming the possibility of him being a subject of slag experiments. Krieg’s design also counts with tubes going into his hand, or the protection on his arm, and wether this might not have anything to do with experimentation, it raises the question of why he needs it (if it’s a need) as well as the bigger filter present on his mask.
Tumblr media
(image description: a turnaround of Krieg the Psycho from Borderlands 2, showcasing his design. He has orange pants, same as psychos - enemies from the game - a gas mask and bandages. He is shirtless, sporting only a harness that carries tubes that connect to his left arm. He’s holding his buzz axe, an weapon made of an axe with a buzzsaw as its head.)
What we have so far: Slag experimentation was done at the Exploitation Preserve. Said experiments resulted in psychos, among other kinds of bandits/enemies. Krieg is a psycho, and not only his design but his sent assassin and wanted poster alude to him being tired to a scientific branch of Hyperion, as property/prisioner. Dr. Samuels was a very relevant and active scientist in said experimentations, as proved by the Doctor’s Orders side quest given by Tannis.
Going into the Quote that started this all, let’s examine ALL his quotes pertaining women:
1.“ I can’t see her anymore… She was so clear and bright… but the blood is in my eyes, and now I can only watch the ocean of blood… Its waves crash against my forehead again and again, AND I JUST NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SURF!! “
2.You’re gonna scream, just like she did; open mouth, open heart, blood and noise forever piercing my skull, poisoning me with its psychopathic purple liquid. We watched it all, and felt the knife edge split down the middle… CAN YOU HEAR ME?!
3.“I’ll never forget the way her holes cried… The way she screamed in agony as she pushed the knife slowly into my sternum... Such a beautiful symphony of feelings, and at the end of it, she was so much greater! My operatic diva of flesh and steel!! “
4.“ (On your feet, she might still be out there.)”
5.“(Where is she? Is she still alive? Did she get away?)”
6.THE TINY ONE AND THE SAD-FACED MOTHER AND THE BLUE TATTOO FOREVER AND EVER! (when Moxxi asks about a mister-or-missus Vault Hunter in Krieg’s life during the Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre DLC )
Quote 01, 02 and 03: 01: It’s unclear the context or identity of Her. It’s possible to presume there’s more than women being referred to in all quotes, but at the same time, although only a pronoum is used, it seems to be used as the closest he can to a name. 02: Pyschopathic purple liquid: Slag. It’s unclear hear if Krieg thinks about someone that was also experimented on, or along with him. 03. her holes cried: eyes, actual crying. The screams in agony could be or not an exaggeration; but the important here is that we are aware Samuels was threated, via her wife’s life, to work on the subjects, as she did not want to. By the ECHOs during Doctor’s Orders, Samuels sounded very humane, and it’s fair to believe she’d suffer having to do this. 02 and 03: Both “knife edge split down the middle” and “my operatic diva of flesh and still” could be interpreted as alluding to the birth and inspiration of a second personality, one that thrives in pain and slag - outter Krieg. Quote 04: It’s extremely unclear what happens to Samuels, but Doctor’s Orders alludes to her possible death in the explosion caused by Tiny Tina for her escape. However, there’s solid evidence pointing she’s alive (we’ll come back to this.) It’s therefore possible Krieg believes so, and would like to find her. As a familiar face? For revenge? To thank her or just check on her? Hard to know. But as the inner voice seems to have strong morals about who to kill, and seems not to resent her, it’s safe to assume a darker opition is less likely. Quote 05: As stated previously and in the other post; Krieg worries about her. He got away from the Preserve and would like Samuels to have gotten out too. Quote 06: Finally, with couple with 02 and 03, it’s possible to read “sad faced mother” as Samuels, as she’d be sad about the situation every human is at at the Preserve, and technically, because she’d be the operator during the slag experiments, the “mother” of the Outter Krieg personality. It’s important to note this quote is Outter Krieg’s, and that the outside personality seems to have clearer access to memories, or at the very least try to stop Inside Krieg from remembering. Now, what’d I say we’d go back to Samuel’s possibility of being alive, and the Victims of Vault Hunter’s mission? Well, the mission goes as follow: The Vault Hunter tries to track the assassins hired by Sparky, only to find one dead after another, all killed by assassins’ assassins related to the Vaulties somehow. Each “savior” leaves a message, and Krieg’s reads: “Krieg: (reading) SALUTATIONS PSYCHOMAN I’M SORRY AS A SLICE WOUND SINCERELY SAMMY “ Samuels is also known as Sammy, as she’s called this by Jack during the ECHOS.  This can be read as Samuels looking out for Krieg, and making so he’s not taken back by Hyperion and has a chance to live a good life. Not only that, but when Krieg finds Clement’s corpse during the Victim’s of Vault Hunter’s mission, he says:  ”HE WAS THERE FOR THE BIRTHING! HE BROUGHT THEM INTO THE METAL FUN PALACE SO SHE COULD START THE PARTY!” He being Clements, and the birthing, as we discussed, being the rise of Outter Krieg. A Metal Fun Palace can be a cage, but we can go bigger and see it as the preserve. Finally, interpreting She as Sammuels, we can infer that Clements was an assistant or colleague of hers.  So far: Krieg is a psycho, made so by slag experimentations at the preserve, performed by Doctor Samuels (forced to). Samuels is alive and watches his back, Krieg believes she’s alive too and would like to find her, and that Hyperion could still be trying to retrieve Krieg. Finally, specially while being revived, Krieg has Quotes that can be interpreted as him not knowing exactly the difference between pain and care anymore, specially because they’re all quotes from the Outter Krieg, someone “born” from being hurt by a woman that possibly tried her best to be kind, or showed kindness while hurting him at the same time. They also seem to make it clear he might equal pain to something good. Being revived: “What’re you doing to me?!“ “Why aren’t you stabbing me?” “Somebody still cares?” Salt the Wound (a skill) stacks: “Hurt me more!”
“It hurts, HAHAHAHAHA! IT HURTS!!” “Pain is LIFE!!”
Among many others.
The last important point is this quote: “ Yes, make them pay for what they did to us…”said by Inner Krieg during killing multiple enemies, which could be a hint about him having been sold by bandits as where Tiny Tina’s parents.
In Conclusion / TL; DR: Krieg’s backstory is about him being captured by Hyperion or bandits, and becoming a test subject for slag experimentation at the Exploitation Preserve. There, he build trust and care towards Doctor Samuels, that though was the one to coordinate or perform experiments; didn’t want to, being as kind as possible in the situation. The experimentations split Krieg’s mind into two, the Outter, psychotic Krieg possibly considering Samuels a mother of sorts.
Fun facts:
Krieg has a voiceline where he mentions Hera, possibly another planet. Wheter he was just an intergalatic traveler or from Hera is unclear.
Inner Krieg uses “us” to refer to himself and Outter Krieg, making it clear he separated both.
Writer Anthony Burch has described Krieg’s psychosis as a man driving an out of control truck: He cannot stop the truck, but he can try and steer it away from as many innocents as possible.
Although it was a fan-favorite theory; it has been debunked that Krieg is Tiny Tina’s dad.
Krieg’s reaction to hearing about the Son of Crawmerax is something along the lines of “What?! I do not have a son!” (I can’t find a transcript of this one but I literally just played it) hinting that perhaps Krieg indeed does not have kids, though it’s unclear if this is just Outter Krieg blocking out memories
This is possible and noticeable on this quote:  inner: (I'm beginning to remember...) outter: Stop it, keep the memories down with a knife in its throat, slash it until it bleeds thought juice across the dirt and it's absorbed into nothingness... Personal Headcanons:
Considering only his canon Quotes - the ones that are not references or fourth wall breaks - is notable that Krieg has a vast vocabulary, and I believe he can grow to rearange the words and communicate better.
The “she” mentioned could also be two people - perhaps Samuels and a woman important to him, taken to be experimented on too
Raving Retribution skill could be named after revenge for said woman Anyway, that’s it! There’s probably a lot more, a lot wrong, who knows, but I couldn’t help myself, Let me know your takes and what you think! And sorry for the english y’all, brazilian here.

So What The Fuck Is Going On With This Venom Movie? - Quill’s Scribbles
Tumblr media
After many false starts and changing productions, it appears that the long awaited Venom movie is finally getting off the ground with Tom Hardy in the leading role as Eddie Brock and Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer attached to direct the film. And you’d think people would be excited for this, but surfing the Internet, the reaction to Sony’s Venom movie seems to be lukewarm at best. There are many reasons for this and I thought I’d take the opportunity to explore those reasons whilst trying to understand just what the hell Sony is planning (because I have a sneaking suspicion that not even they know).
There was once a time when Venom ruled the fucking world. Every comic book geek was obsessed with the character, including myself when I was younger. And I’m sure you can see why. I mean look at him:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Come on! You’ve got to admit he looks cool!
Not only did the character have an incredibly distinct look, but also the idea behind him was both creative and unique. An alternate Spider-Man costume later revealed to be an alien life form was a totally unexpected twist.
Venom is a black alien goo called a Symbiote. The symbiotes were a race of parasites that bonded to host bodies and forced them to do death defying acts in order to feed off of their adrenaline. However Venom was an outcast because it was the only one of its kind who wanted to form a symbiotic bond with the host rather than drain and discard them (so technically only Venom is a true symbiote because it’s the only one that desires symbiosis with its host… Yeah. Shut up. It’s still cool). Banished to Battleworld, Spider-Man accidentally releases it from its prison and ends up taking it back to Earth, becoming the Black Suit Spider-Man.
Tumblr media
Black Suit Spidey was significantly more powerful than regular Spidey. He was faster, stronger and could produce his own organic webbing. However he was also more aggressive in costume (not to the extent that it changed his entire personality like in the film Spider-Man 3, but still he was noticeably more violent than we were used to seeing) and was often extremely tired when not wearing the costume. Later Spidey realised that not only was his new costume a living, thinking being, it would also take control of his body while he was sleeping, hence why he was so tired all of the time.
With the help of the Fantastic Four, Spidey manages to remove and contain the symbiote only for it to escape and attack him, wanting to bond with him permanently. This leads to the famous bell tower scene where Spidey uses the sound waves of the church bell to remove the symbiote. Left weakened by the struggle, Spidey was close to death only to be unexpectedly rescued by the symbiote before it slithered away. Left heartbroken and rejected, it would later bond with Eddie Brock, whose irrational hatred for Spider-Man corrupted the symbiote into the feral predator we know today.
The Black Suit Spidey arc was and still is one of the great Spider-Man stories, serving as an excellent origin story for Venom. Comic book readers loved the character and as his popularity grew, Marvel were quick to milk it for all its worth. Eventually Venom got his own spin-off series called Venom: Lethal Predator, where Venom becomes an anti-hero protecting a community of homeless people in San Francisco. We were also introduced to other prominent symbiotes over the years, the most notable being Carnage and Toxin.
Venom-Mania officially reached its peak in the late 90s/early 00s, with plans for a Venom movie produced by New Line Cinema and written by David S Goyer featuring Venom as an anti-hero and Carnage as an antagonist. Ultimately this didn’t pan out and the rights reverted to Sony along with Spider-Man himself. Eager to cash in on Venom’s popularity, Sony execs forced director Sam Raimi to include the character in his third Spider-Man movie. This generated a lot of excitement as many, including myself, were eager to see Venom finally appear on the big screen. The results were…
Tumblr media
…less than satisfactory.
Yeah. You’d think Venom and the director of the Evil Dead movies would go hand in hand, but no. Turns out Sam Raimi doesn’t like Venom at all and kind of resented Sony forcing the issue. You can tell watching the movie that Raimi was only doing this under protest and clearly was not taking the character seriously, which angered a lot of people. But despite this, Sony were still planning to do a Venom spinoff movie, however this was scrapped when they decided to reboot the Spider-Man franchise. The project was briefly reignited when there were plans to create a Spider-Man shared universe featuring the Sinister Six and Black Cat, but this ultimately fell through when The Amazing Spider-Man movies failed to deliver at the box office (a billion dollars Sony? Fucking really?!)
So this upcoming Venom movie marks the fourth attempt at giving the character his own solo film, and you’d think there’d be a lot more anticipation over this. But as I say the reaction has been lukewarm. The thing is, while Spider-Man 3′s Venom was a disaster, I think people would still have been excited about a Venom movie regardless if it were being made ten years ago. The fact is that while Venom still has a dedicated fanbase, he’s not quite as popular as he once was. This is just my personal opinion of course, but I think the reason why his popularity dwindled is because, outside of his origin story… well… there isn’t really a lot of things you can do with Venom. I mean sure, they tried to mix it up a little. The Venom symbiote would eventually leave Eddie Brock and move on to other hosts, including Mac Gargan (aka Scorpion) and Flash Thompson, and while they provide interesting spins on the character, it did become very repetitive. Plus without Eddie Brock, Venom kind of loses his motivation a little bit.
That’s not to say a Venom movie can’t still be good. As I said, his origin story is really good and the concept is still very unique and creative. It’s going to be R rated and is apparently going to be more akin to a science fiction horror movie rather than a superhero film, which could be interesting. And I think we can all agree Tom Hardy is an excellent choice to play Eddie Brock. It’s just a question of whether or not Sony have learned from their previous mistakes.
While I didn’t mind in Spider-Man 3 that they kept the symbiote’s origins secret, one of the biggest problems was that the symbiote didn’t have a character. It was treated as little more than a plot device with no depth or explanation given to it, which I found really irritating because the symbiote is an interesting character in its own right. It’s lonely. It wants to permanently bond with a host and share abilities and experiences. While overzealous and often overstepping the mark, it does actually care for its host, as demonstrated when it saved Spidey’s life in the bell tower. And when it realised that Spidey didn’t want to be a part of this symbiotic relationship, it reluctantly left him. Its relationship with Spidey can easily be construed as a tragic and twisted love affair. It only truly turned evil when it came into contact with Eddie Brock, whose irrationality warped and corrupted the symbiote into a rage fuelled monster.
Something else Spider-Man 3 got wrong was its depiction of Eddie Brock, portraying him as this selfish, self centred jerk (plus Topher Grace was the wrong choice entirely for the part). In the comics he’s a bit more complex than that.
Working as a journalist for the Daily Globe, Eddie Brock is able to get a confession from a man claiming to be a serial killer called the Sin Eater. This backfires when the man is revealed to be a compulsive liar and that Spider-Man had caught the real killer. With his reputation in tatters, Eddie Brock sinks into a deep depression. Forced to work for tacky tabloid magazines, his wife divorces him in disgust and his father, who he’s been desperately trying to win the approval of, stops talking to him. He starts bodybuilding in an effort to take his mind off of his predicament, but his anger and depression still remains, blaming Spider-Man for what happened to him. And just to add insult to injury, he finds out he has cancer.
That’s the key difference between the two. In Spider-Man 3, Eddie is an entitled little shit who deserves everything he gets. In the comics, Eddie is a broken man that the reader can actually identify with. In the movie Eddie faked photos of Spidey stealing from a bank and then blames Peter Parker for ratting him out. In the comics Eddie makes an honest mistake and his life spirals downwards as a result, projecting his anger onto Spidey, And then there’s the church scene. In the movie, Eddie asks God to kill Peter Parker, which just comes across as laughable and reveals what a rubbish one dimensional villain he is. In the comics, Eddie goes to the church because he’s contemplating suicide and asks God for forgiveness, which makes him more sympathetic and his ultimate fate that much more tragic. While both versions share an irrational hatred of Spider-Man, only one of them comes from an understandable place.
This is why I’m happy Tom Hardy is playing the character. As well as having the right build, he’s also played this kind of character before and done an extremely good job. If the filmmakers focus on making Eddie Brock a relatable and sympathetic character, give the symbiote its own identity and personality, and go to great lengths to explore the relationship between the two, this could make for a pretty decent movie.
However there are a few other concerns I have about this movie, and this largely stems from the business side of things.
Sony have mentioned that Venom is going to be the first instalment of a Sony Marvel Universe. Now their track record when it comes to franchise building is shaky at best. While I liked The Amazing Spider-Man 2 better than most, I will admit that the movie does feel extremely cluttered. It suffers from the same problem as movies like Iron Man 2 in that it had a lot of good ideas, but there were just too many. Sony were clearly putting more emphasis on franchise building rather than telling a good story, and while The Amazing Spider-Man 2 wasn’t a bad movie by any means, it did suffer as a result.
They also have a tendency to have unrealistic expectations for their movies. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for instance was expected to make a billion dollars at the box office. A billion?! Look, the Avengers can make a billion dollars, Justice League could make a billion dollars and Batman V Superman should have made a billion dollars, but Spider-Man? I know he’s popular, but… that popular?! Another example is the Ghostbusters reboot, which Sony were hoping to turn into its own shared universe. It ultimately failed to deliver at the box office, and the main reason for this (apart from the sexist butthurt fanboys) is because Ghostbusters just isn’t a tentpole franchise. The most a Ghostbusters movie has ever made at the box office was 295 million dollars. It’s profitable, but not that profitable. As much as I LOVE the Ghostbusters reboot and wanted it to succeed, the fact is Sony were incredibly foolish with how they handled it. Throwing massive wads of money at a movie that simply would never have been the mega success they wanted, regardless of whether the sexist butthurt fanboys boycotted the movie or not.
So what the fuck IS going on with this Venom movie? Well as best as I can understand it, Venom is going to be a part of his own shared universe called the Sony Marvel Universe, which will have no connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now to some extent, I can see why Sony have made that decision. Spider-Man may be part of the MCU now and they do still have creative control over the character, but it’s not theirs. As it stands, Sony make money off of any Spider-Man movies they produce, but any MCU movies where Spider-Man makes a guest appearance, Marvel Studios get the money. Naturally they want something to call their own, and there are rumours that after the Spider-Man Homecoming sequel, Sony plan to ditch the MCU entirely and continue the Spider-Man franchise themselves, presumably keeping the same actor but having none of the future movies connecting with the MCU at all (might as well. I mean its not as if the MCU movies connect with each other anymore). But then it gets even stranger when you learn that Spider-Man might not actually be in this Venom movie. That’s very odd considering how pivotal a role Spider-Man plays in Venom’s backstory and how famous the Black Suit Spider-Man arc is. Why wouldn’t you want to adapt that?
The problem is if Spider-Man appears or is even mentioned in the Venom movie, then people are going to assume that its part of the MCU, which it isn’t. I suppose you could do something similar to Supergirl and cast another actor to play a different version of Spider-Man, but that might be tricky to pull off. For one thing, Superman doesn’t wear a mask so we can look at Tyler Hoechlin and say ‘oh he doesn’t look like Henry Cavill. Clearly this is not the same Superman from Man Of Steel.’ The different mediums also help the audience make that distinction, that the movie and TV universes are separate. With this, I think it’ll be harder for casual movie going audiences to make that distinction and would actually confuse them.
One possible option Sony could take is to make a few discreet references to Spider-Man and the larger MCU to imply a larger connection, but I don’t think Marvel Studios would really appreciate that. No, the telling detail here is that this is called the Sony Marvel Universe as opposed to something like the Spideyverse or something. In other words, Sony could be making a Spider-Man shared universe… without Spider-Man. Now yes, this could work, but just look at the movies slated to come out. Venom, Black Cat and Silver Sable. Aside from the fact that they all appear in Spider-Man comics, what do they have in common?
…
Nothing.
They have pretty much nothing to do with each other outside of Spider-Man. So how are you supposed to create a shared universe around them? And why would anybody want to see this? Black Cat and Silver Sable are hardly household names and while Venom does still have a dedicated following, he’s just not as popular as he was ten years ago. The ship has pretty much sailed on that front. Either there’s something Sony aren’t telling us or, more likely, they haven’t thought this through. Using whatever assets they’ve got lying around to create their own shared universe that they can control, not because of its artistic merit or creative possibilities, but because it’s a trend they want to cash in on while they still can.
On the whole, I’m adopting a kind of wait and see attitude to all of this. Like I said, the film does have potential and I’m confident Tom Hardy will do a great job in the role. I just can’t shake the feeling that Sony might have, once again, shot themselves in the foot before they’ve even started.

The Surfs Up wrestler mania version...it’s been like 20mins and it’s so cringe...what happened to surfing...and why do some of them just have their wrestler name and the others have nicknames? The baby penguins are still cute though and that’s all that counts...what’s up with the fish milk thing?

Hey I need to say this to you Lauren.
I dont know the best was to express or say how I feel but I’m finally at a point where I need to explain myself fully for all I’ve done and why i keep coming back into your life. For the past 3 years my life has been a rollercoaster through stages of hell that I really need to tell you about because in the darkest parts of it the idea of what we were and you in general have been my only light. That’s the reason why I’ve been popping back into your life when I’m sure you would rather have it otherwise. The night that we first tripped togther really shows the power that I see in the universe and how horribly cruel honest and true to form it can be about life. Lauren it had to happen the way it folded out. And I learned that it always does no matter what you want. The beginning of it like the beginning of us was great but that moment when I was facing the door and immediately snapped back to look at you started a chain of events that no one was prepared for. That’s when I started to go “crazy” or my mind started to twist my life started to twist everything started to go out of whack. That’s when me being here with you and me always coming back into your life started to turn things bad in my life. I’m deeply sorry for making you cry during the trip but what you don’t know is what happened after you left. I started to plan out what I would think would be our life together. And that was also my first manic episode.
After your left I started writing on the table and in my note book about a surf shack that we were going to have and this fantastic life that was going to happen because I could see it all in that moment. I felt like I knew it all in that moment. But the reality was I was having my first manic episode. Mania makes me feel like that. Like I have the world and it’s story and the universe and it’s story and our story tied up together and I just have to talk it into existence and it will happen the way I say it will. I felt like I had so much energy and enlightenment just pouring out of me and people were on the same brain wave that I was. But it’s never the case.
I was writing and then I finished with the thought of the universe could be this place that I’m envisioning or I could just be crazy and loosing my mind. And then I sunk deep down into that hole. Thinking that my mind was broken and that I couldnt stop this train that was my brain. So I got in bed shut my eyes and just wished for sleep and it came and I woke up the next day fine like back to normal. Hoping that you would still want to be with me after what I did to you that night.
That in essence has been the last three years on repeat starting January 1st 2016.
It’s a cycle of slowing going manic. Mania brings in good feelings and somehow you get involved in my head. That then branches out to me trying to contact you because if this vision that I’m so clearly seeing. And then the destruction of that vision as the episode ends.
On that day I started to go crazy or manic. I dont really know how but by the 4th I was in the back of an ambulance loosing my mind. My universe was fracturing reality was loosening I thought that everyone was going to die and I was going to be alone forever. So they put me in the hospital and they were running test and I was like a wild animal because I had no idea what was going on and then the seeds of my psychosis started being planted. Because within all of that madness I had one light one person that my mom made me think of and that was you. I was talking about the color of your eyes. And then I saw a girl that I thought was you enter a room but I didnt see her face. But I assumed it was you. But the seed was the idea of you always being just in the other room waiting for me. It’s been a constant theme when I’ve become manic. After some weird things happening they wheeled me away to get a brain scan. As they were wheeling me away and I tried to get away because I thought that they were going to do something like “dissect me” or take away a part of me that made me me. That part is hard to explain but. This part isn’t. I accepted the fate that they were going to take all that away that I was going to not come back the same. I put my hand over my heart and said the name Sandy. This was the first solid root of my psychosis that revolves around us. Sandy was the name of a daughter that I saw us having. And it was basically me saying if they are going to take me away i hope she’ll live.
I made it out of the MRI alive and eventually found sleep and woke up the next day still manic. But thing about mania is when your in it you never know that you are. It’s a lobster in water that’s slowly rising in temperature. Once it’s boiling it’s adjusted so it doesn’t know the difference. You just feel normal.
The next day they had me admitted to a inpatient mental hospital. That’s where you called me and we talked. The first few days were a manic mess. I was going crazy I thought that there was a game that had to be played that was going to get me to leave. I thought that my life was going to be this road trip to all these places to save the world. You basically think that you’re jesus and an undercover spy and you have to solve the clues to get out. After seven days in there I got out. But because it was my first time with mania I was still kind of on a high. It’s like coming back from the moon. I made it into the atmosphere of earth but Not quite back to ground and even then not on target. I’m lucky if I hit the ocean.
So I went into a day program where you meet kids who are going through similar things as you. People with depression mania and everything. I meet some people it was nice the first time. But it was a rough start. What made it tougher was the fact that the day that I got out of the mental hospital was the day after classes began at HP. So even if I wanted to, I couldn’t go back. My parents wanted me at the house and monitored on my new medication making sure I sleep and don’t go back into mania. I think I still might have been smoking weed at the time I’m not completely sure but I picked up 2 classes at the school that I’m at now still went to group and truly fucked things up with you.
The last messages that we sent to one another I really regret. I didnt like how I was pushing you away and trying to bring you close. How I wanted an open relationship when I really didn’t even know what it entailed I just wanted to keep you for emotional support and fuck other people. I remember sitting somewhere and having that talk and hearing you cry on the other end of the line and that’s just not right. And then the last Facebook messages that we sent where I was a true asshole and manic because I was smoking weed and it triggers my mania. And how I ended the relationship with a saw and a sawed off.
The next parts is so I can round everything out and really get this psychosis out of me so take it or leave it I need to write it out.
My mom says I have a season when it comes to mania but really it’s just when I start smoking weed and loosing sleep and stop taking my meds. But the next time I got manic was almost a year to the day. If you want to really see when I get into the manic place look for when I contact you or try to reach out that’s how you know I’m floating back.
The next time was the long haul to the hospital. This time I spent 5 hours talking to myself and making up a fictional son named Steven that you and i would have. Back story lore the reason for his name and universal significance. The whole gambit of this kid. This was also a time where i you were still following me on Spotify and i would look and think that we were communicating through our songs.
Eventually i got to loud and out about everything and got sent back to the hospital and what I now call my restart button. Hospital around winter break then group during classes and then back to the grind until I pick up weed again and then restart. But the time I stopped is worth noting.
After I got out that time and spring summer started rolling around I picked up again but weed wasn’t doing me the same. Instead of making me feel good it started to make me feel like shit. I would get on myself about being stupid that I couldn’t do anything every time I smoked I would just fall deeper into a pit and I couldn’t stop. So the universe made me stop. There was one night where the next chapter of my mental illness would kick in.
I said I was done but my friend called me out and said he’d smoke me up and buy my ticket to go see a movie. It was the worst expierence of my life I had a panic attack that twisted my brain into developing a type of OCD that I now know as Harm OCD. It’s not fun. But what that leads me to is the cocktail that that and mania made me go through and how that lead to the mania endured birth of a 3rd child named staysea. Basically the mania brought on the fictional reality glasses that had been brewing since my last manic episodes and the harm ocd brought on the horrific thing that I did to our child in this other dimensional state which was essentially rape.
Harm ocd is not fun it’s something that i go through every day and regret every day for not listening to the universe when it told me to stop. It’s consistent intrusive thoughts that have to do with violence and sex. It’s like being mind raped by a demon. I dont want these bad things to happen but when I say stop this demon in my head says go and I have to visualize atrocities happen multiple times a day. It’s not fun. But I’m getting better at dealing with it.
After the movie theater I stopped smoking for a while and got better felt better I didnt go to the hospital that January and got through the year. I was finally getting over you coming back into my life in these fantasies and having to deal with it. I metaphorically burried the kids that we had I was getting better. But about a year and half i picked it up again. And I would have moved on and stayed out of your life if not for one moment that started this years run of come ups.
I was at my grandmas old folks home. And she has dementia but I talk to her and her roomate still and I was fiddling with a piece of paper and my brain had been starting to go into a manic space. And my grandmas roommate said something to me which was basically for me to try to reach out to you because “she’s the one for you.” This ticked off my mildly manic brain and then everything that I spent the last years settiling came up and I started to believe in The future that I made back then kids and all. All the past things that I made up started coming back. And I started to try to believe in a universe that follows some narrative that works like a book compared to one that just is.
I ended up having a manic episode and going back to the hospital for the entire month of January this time. I think that was after you messaged me on Instagram. I was pretty manic when I was messaging you but I still had some of myself together. But I got out and here I am now. Trying to come to you with some sort of explanation of my actions towards you.
I hurt you a lot over these past years. Far more than anyone really should. You’ve told me time and time again how you don’t don’t want to see me and just want me to leave but every time I’m close to letting go I pull myself back somehow. For that I’m sorry. This is something that I wanted to write you but never knew how to put into words right. I wrote another letter essentially saying hey I’m coming back down to HP in late April to see Haleigh but I don’t even know if Im going to anymore. I barley have the money and I would halfway want to see you but you don’t deserve to just have me in your face without notice or permission.
You remind me of a time when I didn’t have all this weight on me when life was easy. And I was happy with someone I loved. And how a life with them would be all I ever needed. And that’s probably why I go back to it always because that’s all I want.
But this letter serves you and me better. I think. Life has been really really rough for me and you were a life that I saw that could’ve been and I always regret not just staying loyal to you because of how much i cared about you. Just being patient with us. I just want to fix everything I did. But now moving on is best but I needed to say something like this explaining why. I am the way I am.
It would be nice to talk to you though.
I would want to be your friend or just someone who you don’t hate, someone who you can forgive.
I love you Lauren. You’ve helped me through dark Really lonely times. And the only reason why I come back to you is because there’s no one else who made me feel so loved and secure. I wish that I could go back and advise myself about how good of person you would be to be and to treat you right because of it. You were my ace, the one person who was there for me always. I’m sorry that I couldn’t be a better person to you when I had the chance to.
Thank you for helping me whether you knew it or not.
Jordan.

Krieg’s Backstory based on tips/missions/canon quotes
“Alright, y’all. Since This Post (by @necromorph-slayinglovemachine) is making some rounds, stating Krieg’s inner voice quote [ Where is she? Is she still alive? Did she get away?] refers to Dr. Samuels, the woman responsible for slag experimentations at the Exploitation Preserve, and I’m just gonna say: Yes, I agree.  So, let’s explore that, and therefore the very possible option that Krieg became what he is at the Preserve, going through Quotes and game events.
Here is Krieg’s assassin description: “At this point, Sparky's hopes for victory have been dashed, but he reluctantly introduces Clements, a Hyperion scientist who wants Krieg.” Krieg’s assassin in a scientist, and it’s not clear wheter he plans on retrieving or killing the psycho. But, Clements is pointed as a Hyperion scientist, tying Krieg’s relation to Hyperion was one that has to do with science/research.  (We’ll come back to this mission).  What works most about this assumption is Krieg’s very nature, design and skills: He is a borderlands psycho, bandits made crazy by experimentations. Badass pyschos themselves are a result of slag mutation, as Jack’s voiceover at the Preserve states:  “This is Handsome Jack, thanking you, loyal test subject, for helping bring Pandora into the future. The experiments you'll be put through will help us uncover new uses for Eridium, new cures for medicine, and...why are you having me read this crap? They know we're gonna mutate the hell out of them, why lie to - (static) “ This voiceline is furthered reinforced by a loader present at the preserve, made to greet the “volunteers” (subjects) that arrive there. Its quotes that prove slag, pyschos and mutations are all tied:  "Eridium injections may cause side effects such as gigantism, insanity, and excess limb syndrome." All things seen both in psychos and rats - a name that could allude to them being lab rats.  "Thank you for open quotes volunteering closed quotes as a test subject at Hyperion Preserve. Do not attempt to leave the grounds." Stating that people are capture to be subjected to slag experimentation.  "Do NOT touch the Eridium vats unless you have alerted a Hyperion technician first, preferably one with a camera." Just furthering on that.
1.“ I can't see her anymore... She was so clear and bright... but the blood is in my eyes, and now I can only watch the ocean of blood... Its waves crash against my forehead again and again, AND I JUST NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SURF!! “
2.You're gonna scream, just like she did; open mouth, open heart, blood and noise forever piercing my skull, poisoning me with its psychopathic purple liquid. We watched it all, and felt the knife edge split down the middle... CAN YOU HEAR ME?!
3.“I'll never forget the way her holes cried... The way she screamed in agony as she pushed the knife slowly into my sternum...
(when Moxxi asks about a mister-or-missus Vault Hunter in Krieg's life during the Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre DLC )
Now, what’d I say we’d go back to Samuel’s possibility of being alive, and the Vault Hunter’s Victims mission?  Well, the mission goes as follow: The Vault Hunter tries to track the assassins hired by Sparky, only to find one dead after another, all killed by assassins’ assassins related to the Vaulties somehow. Each “savior” leaves a message, and Krieg’s reads:  “Krieg: (reading) SALUTATIONS PSYCHOMAN I'M SORRY AS A SLICE WOUND SINCERELY SAMMY “  Samuels is also known as Sammy, as she’s called this by Jack during the ECHOS.  This can be read as Samuels looking out for Krieg, and making so he’s not taken back by Hyperion and has a chance to live a good life.  So far:  Krieg is a psycho, made so by slag experimentations at the preserve, performed by Doctor Samuels (forced to). Samuels is alive and watches his back, Krieg believes she’s alive too and would like to find her. Being revived: “What're you doing to me?!“ “Why aren't you stabbing me?” “Somebody still cares?” Salt the Wound (a skill) stacks:  “Hurt me more!”
“It hurts, HAHAHAHAHA! IT HURTS!!” “Pain is LIFE!!”
Among many others.
The last important point is this quote: “ Yes, make them pay for what they did to us...”said by Inner Krieg during killing multiple enemies, which could be a hint about him having been sold by bandits as where Tiny Tina’s parents.

5 Things that Will Help with Exercise Motivation
Whether it's Daytime Saving time, yet another snowfall, or just the stars not lining up, your workout motivation is no place to be found. We so feel you. In fact, just about everybody experiences this at least occasionally. That doesn't mean it's time for you to pull the covers up to your neck and enjoy 6 hours of Netflix (although, hi, this is fine every when in a while). There are actions you can take to get your mojo back. Need some fitspo?Read on for five things that will assist with exercise motivation:1. Find Your Sweaty Soulmate Whatever is more
enjoyable when you do it with a pal(or lover!
), and working out is no various. Discover a similar buddy and go to the fitness center, yoga class, Crossfit, Orange Theory, or whatever it is that drifts your boat while getting you that overblown bootie. Even individual trainers will typically offer deals for group training sessions, so there are no reasons there. And let's face it-- unless you were born without a competitive bone in your body, working out with a friend will help you to press yourself that much even more. The other thing about finding your physical fitness buddy is that you will be held liable. When that alarm goes off and you're thinking about going automobile pilot by pressing snooze, knowing your pal is waiting on you is( or should be )enough to get you up and at 'em."I'm so bummed I got up and exercised, "said no one ever. So just do it, fine? 2. Find Your Fitness Fancy(or Fancy Fitness)And by that, we imply that you might desire to consider working out in something besides that old" Frankie Goes to Hollywood "tee shirt
and your sweats from 1992. You do not need to be at the height of style by any methods, but there's something to be said for feeling good about yourself inside and out. That's why lots of typically advise that individuals who work from house battle the desire to remain in pajamas. Something you can do to increase that exercise inspiration is to purchase brand-new gear. Yoga pants and a t-shirt that fits you well in all the ideal locations are great, however you can likewise consider purchasing some new equipment to obtain you pumped up. If you wish to go out and browse more, take that cash you have actually been conserving and buy that board or wetsuit you've been considering. Slippa offers a range of surf-related products that will get you off that wing chair and into the waves.3. Pump up the Jam Have you ever observed your preferred workout classes are the ones with music that motivates? Discover a fitness center or studio that plays your most beloved tunes. If you're more of the independent physical fitness type, create your own set list on iTunes or Pandora. There's nothing
like your preferred anthem on blast to obtain you over that exercise bulge.4. Find Something That Gets Results Working out can be great for increasing energy levels and reducing stress, however when it comes down to it, the majority of us are doing it for weight reduction or at least weight maintenance. If that exercise you've been doing for years isn't really cutting it and you cannot afford
that stomach tuck after all, attempt something
else. There's absolutely nothing more encouraging than putting on your denims from college just to discover that-- gasp!-- they fit. The important things about this is you have to find something you delight in, as this will make sure that you'll in fact go. So whether it's Zumba, Fitwall, or you have actually found the major health benefits of yoga, a exercise you dig will pay significant dividends.5. Try Some Morning Mania A great deal of people struck the fitness center post-work, and that's all well and great if they really make it there. The problem with this is that a lot of things can obstruct, including an extremely tempting unscripted pleased hour,
fatigue, and possibly having to work longer
than you expected. It may be a tough transition but many individuals who move their workouts to the morning find that they not only are more constant, however they likewise get other advantages like increased energy and maintaining a healthy weight. The early bird gets the worm and hopefully an incredibly svelte bod.Found yourself in a physical fitness funk? Don't stress, as we have actually all been there. Attempt something (or whatever )from this list and you'll be flying high once again in no time.

Surf's Up 2 Wave Mania Review
Surf’s Up 2 Wave Mania Review
The other day I managed to snag a copy of Surf’s Up 2…real cheap. You know I actually wondered why before I saw this, and why were there hardly any reviews out there.
Unlike what Wikipedia says the film is more than just the gang from the first film (minus Big Z) teaming up with a group of insane surfers. To find this mystery spot, with a steady 50 foot wave and they have to outrace lightening…
